We finally tried New Delhi’s weekday lunch buffet. We usually eat at the other Indian Food Restaurant but decided to try New Delhi. We were greeted by the owner who was very friendly. The buffet food was super yummy. The serving dishes are kept covered so the food stays fresh and hot. It was delicious and they make your Naan fresh; choice of plain, butter, or garlic. Nothing better than fresh Naan. The restaurant is beautiful and very relaxing. I highly recommend New Delhi you won’t be disappointed. This will be our new go to for lunch.

We were very pleasantly greeted by Nala and the gentleman running the restaurant. When you have nice hospitable folks running the restaurant, you feel at home and want to give 5 stars.We tried the buffet and they had a LOT of variety - plenty for vegetarians and meat eaters. They keep meat and vegetarian dishes separate. Every dish we tried was fresh, hot, flavorful and ultra tasty. Ive never seen a restaurant that maintains this level of quality for the buffet.While we were eating Nala and the gentlemen checked on us, brought Naans, Pakoda to the table. You can spot genuinely nice people from a mile away. Highly recommend this awesome place! Go, eat at this wonderful place.Also this place is kinda boutique style, cute, cozy and nice! A+++

Just a heads up for when you order you food. Rice does not come with you a plates such as aloo matter you will get a bowl with no rice. Wanted a meal not soup… for 22 dollars i thought i would get more then just a small bowl. They are very kind and food probably taste great. Just wish they would have let me know or posted it in the menu.

We had the buffet. the atmosphere is pleasing with a big skylight letting in diffused natural sunlight. the butter chicken has great flavor and the tandoori chicken was a lot better than i am used to as it was nice and juicy and tender even towards the end of the lunch buffet time. the bread was made fresh and also very good. service very pleasant. they also offer vegetarian and gluten-free upon request

Great Food. We usually go into SF or to East Bay to get great Indian food, and when I saw the high customer ratings, we gave New Delhi Indian Cuisine a try. Success.Super vibrant, spicy, fabulous food. I ordered hot/spicy and my two dishes were HOT as ordered (not common in my experience locally) and my partners food was just right medium. Methinks, there is no better Indian in Marin.Update: our third visit to New Delhi and consistently great service and food!

I love Indian buffets, and this place is my favorite! The food is consistently good, with lots of options for meat, veggie and not-too-spicy. The desserts and chai are also fantastic.They have a super friendly mom-and-pop vibe and always make me feel at home. (I used to go to Lotus down the street but they don’t have the same friendly vibe, it’s more crowded and rushed.) One of the owners even helped me out with the parking meter once when I ran out of change, which was so generous. Definitely give the place a try!

The best Indian food in the Bay Area! Growing up in San Francisco, I was always exposed to super authentic food which has made me have super high standards and expectations. I was so surprised to find this place in San Rafael, where I have struggled to find authentic but still fresh Indian food. This was the best food I’ve had in the whole Bay Area for sure. Such great service and such a kind owner who treated us so well and made sure we had everything we needed and more! This place has a such a great atmosphere and is sparkling clean. This is my new go-to place. We will be back! Thanks again! Go here if you want excellent service and food!

The best to be said about this place is the prices. It is the cheapest Indian food I have found anywhere in the Bay Area (and that includes lots of Indian neighborhoods).The restaurant thrives on take-out and delivery services. They dont care about actual visiting customers. All plates were like warm (the chath, which should be room temperature was ice cold), and requests to make our dishes spicy was not honored.

Waited for my second experience to write a glowing review and New Delhi did not disappoint. Ive gotten takeout twice and been over the moon. Great service, order is exact, ready right they say it will be, and most importantly, the BEST tasting Indian food I have found in the North Bay, or actually on the whole West Coast. It is absolutely delicious, well-seasoned, and tastes high quality. Run, dont walk to New Delhi Indian Cuisine!

New Delhi is in a class by itself in terms of delicious Indian food in Marin County. Don’t miss out on discounted prices until the buffet opens and enjoy a 10% discount after that on future dining orders plus perks as a charter diner ( just get a photo of the menu). Delicious sauces on all the curries. Meats melt in your mouth. Plenty of veggie and Jain options. Highly recommend.

I didnt get what asked for. It was not hot, which was luke warm. Was not good tasting either. I asked about gluten free if on the menu and they wouldnt point out what was gluten free. I was sick by later that night and very ill next morning.Very disappointed. ☹️ Specially when we were the only ones there in early evening. And a friend had recommended us to try thier restaurant.

One of the best Indian buffet in the San Rafael area. They are very courteous and went out of the way to prepare paneer Tikka masala just for us since they dint have paneer on the menu that day. Everythung on the menu tasted very good. They dint have any vegetarian appetizers and that is the only thing I can think of. Were going back again this weekend. :)ETA : we feel so at home here each time we visit. They give us so many dishes that are not even part of the already large spread that is the buffet, we have more than enough appetizers now!

I found this place by random luck. I was hungry and pull off freeway 101. Service was excellent and the dishes were amazing. I had coconut fish and saag with mushrooms. It was the best mild food i had. I cant wait to go back and try more dishes. Cant get better than this.

New Delhi is great! Their mixed vegetable pakora are light and crispy, with good flavor. The chicken jalfrezi was amazing, with good spice heat and not oily (unlike other places I’ve been). We also had the goat biryani, which was heavenly, with fabulous flavors and tender meat. The naan bread with pesto is a great twist on a classic! Finally, the food was still steaming hot when we got it home. Will definitely eat here again!

Perhaps it used to be great Indian restaurant in the past but it is ok now.. With influx of South Aaians in bay area and surroundings there are many really good Indian/Pakistani food options in that area and in other close-by suburbs. I went there only because a friend recommended but now I doubt that persons knowledge of desi food. I would not go there again.

I used to go to different Indian restaurants in the area, but I was like I want to give this new Indian restaurant a shot from the first moment I entered I was amazed by the welcoming and sweet lady that her name is Nala . She welcomed with a smile on the face and serviced me with heigh class service . The restaurant is super clean, amazing ambiance, very comfortable like u feel home and the food was very delicious more than any Indian restaurant in the area.Thank you Nala, Chef, and the staff.
