Update April 9, 2024:---------------------------------May be they pasted the price wrongly in the Manna pack previously. When I checked recently, they had pasted the correct sticker. This is a really good Indian shop and I stand to correct my previous review.Older review:--------------------I have been a regular visitor to New India Bazar, Pleasanton. I used to like that and I still like it. But recently they scammed me and I am feeling very very bad about that. Kindly refer to the attached picture. I had bought Manna 1Kg pack for 11.99 about 2 to 3 months back. About 3 weeks back, since they didnt have 1Kg pack, I bought two 500gms pack. I didnt check the price at that time, as I trust this store. I got a rude shock seeing they sold 500gm pack to me at $13.99 for a grand total of $28 just for 1Kg of Manna health mix, that I used to get for $11.99. If this is not scamming your customers, I am not sure what is.This is very very bad, and I didnt expect such scamming from a store that I liked a lot.

I love the environment of the store all the cashiers and employees are very nice. But the only problem is their manager I saw her yelling at employees for so many times now. This happened on Sunday evening also. Screaming and yelling should not be accepted in such a big store.They are going to loose their own customers and their good employees. Deepak used to be manager over there, but from couple months I haven’t seen him there. I hope he comes back to the store and handle everything in a good way.

I understand inflation and some increase in the prices but this store has gone to the new level to increase prices. I bought Bournvita 4 months apart. The first one I bought was $8.99 and most recent I bought was 14.99. Almost $6 increase. This is insane. I really hope this store is not just operating to squeeze money out of customer who trust the store ethics.

The main attraction for this place is their kitchen. They offer hot indian parathas and subzis at a very affordable rate. Also the shop carries almost anything you would need from an indian store.It is always crowded but the checkout is super efficient. Everything is so fresh as the items keep moving and new stock is constantly being replenished.Only disadvantage i have seen is that they push certain brands such as veer a lot which makes it harder if you are a fan of a particular brand.

Its the cheapest one if I compare with other Indian stores. Groceries, fruits,veggies, puja items, snacks like samosa, pakode everythingis available.On Fri and Sat they give discounts on some items so you can go on these days. On Indian festivals you can find all related items also .Overall I prefer going here as compared to other Indian stores .

Our favorite Indian store in Tri-valley area. Good prices, friendly staff, decent availability of Indian products and I like the music. A little crowded at times, can be a bit cleaner. I was really looking forward to their newly opened fast food counter but so far not very impressed with the pricing, quantity and variety of options. Miss non vegetarian options as well.

They expect customers to bag their own groceries - apparently if you bring your own bags, they won’t bag the groceries for you. I thought this was a rule during the pandemic only. It’s sad that after you spend $100 plus at a store, the cashier just stares at you to bag your own groceries. No help. Not coming back here. Ofcourse I tried to give my feedback in the store but the manager ‘wasn’t around’.

I have been going to this store for past few years. Recently I have been seeing that the quality of the vegetables and all other fresh produce is getting bad week by week. A good huge Indian grocery store. You get almost all the stuff you looking for here, over weekend they have good collection of fresh vegetables. Price are decent and not expensive. The one improvement, I would prefer is price tags on each item, specially packed stuff. Most of them do not have a price tag and then you need to pay more attention at billing of what the actual cost is

I recently visited Store in Pleasanton and had a fantastic experience.The guy selling the snacks outside the store was engaging and courteous. They have some items listed with sale prices on weekend - Friday through Monday. Today (Monday), I went there around 8:45PM hoping I can make use of the sale price for some items and to buy some other items. By the time, I went to the counter around 9PM, all items were scanned for regular price. No more sale prices. When I asked how come the price is up for those items listed in the sale, they said the price changed at 9PM or so. Very bad customer service as usual. India Cash & Carry place also have similar sale prices on some items. But they never do these kind of sale ending early and cheating customers. I ended up picking up some bad leftover vegetables that day (I was thinking I am paying less anyway).Try to avoid this place if you can.

India Bazaar is a huge Indian store with all kinds of ethnic goods like spices, varied lentils (Daals), fresh vegetables, cereals, candy, Indian sweets with cooked cuisines & stall for making fresh Chaat. It was a very busy store with lots of hustle & bustle. I wish they could acquire little mote room to open up a sit in restaurant. We bought green onion, low fat yogurt, SAMOSA, paneer, fulka uncooked, & Haldirams home style PARATHA plus moti choor laddoos for puja. It was fun shopping but you have to escape the crowd. The review is about the samosa chaat food counter -First: they cheap out on the packaging. If you get the samosa chaat to-go, they pack it in a plastic to-go container and put it in a brown paper bag. The chaat is hot - the steam shreds the brown paper bag almost immediately. The to-go box leaks big time! The least they can do is put the brownpaper bag in a plastic carry bag from the store. This made a mess in the trunk of my car the first time I did to-goSecond: The person cooking the chaat wears gloves - sure, but they are so unhygienic! Gloves are meant to protect the food and not the persons own hands. Same gloves - they will touch the food, they will touch the boxes, they will touch the trash .. ugh.

This has been my favourite Indian grocery store since they opened here. However, in the past few weeks their prices have gone up to be more than those of Dublin New India Bazaar and San Ramon Cash&Carry. Each box of tea is priced $ 1.50 more than the other stores. Same for yogurt brands and paneer. This I realised today after comparing prices. They are all over priced. Something that was never expected from this store over the years. Big Indian grocery store in Pleasanton & Dublin areea.Very crowded on evenings and morning. Weekends will be over crowded. Getting parking is too hard on peak hours.Most of the Indian products available. Not everything will be imported from India. Most of them imported from Canada.They have their own brand, not sure how they check quality, packing as most of them they get it from Canada. Prices are okay on most of the products but very expensive on Pooja items.Not organised well. There are more small Indian groceries in Dublin Pleasanton area other than this and apna bazar. This is the Best Indian Grocery Stores in Tri-Valley Area. A lot of variety, fresh produce, very reasonably priced Indian Grocery Items. All items are very nicely arranged. Ive known New India Bazaar since they opened their first shop in Santa Clara more than 20 years ago. They always have the most variety of goods. Their refrigeration works at full blast and keeps frozen items really cold as they should be. Many other stores keep it low and the frozen goods get spoiled in no time. The prices for everything are the most competitive amongst all other Indian stores. This is the only store which has the proverbial pin to piano of Indian goods.

I have been going here since last 5 years. They recently changed their reward points system and I was asked to re-register. In last 7-8 visits the provided QR code takes to the registration page which never generates an OTP to complete the registration. A half lifetime ago I visited Nepal and the Himalayas where I acquired a fondness for many food specialties of the Subcontinent and the warm smiling faces of the people I met there. The customer service at the food counter is terrible and disappointing. The lady named Mona sounds very rude and way out of line. I ordered some sweets and things happen my plan got changed. New India Bazaar is our grocery store of choice for all things Indian. We moved to Dublin recently from Sunnyvale and one of the things we missed was an equivalent of the India Cash and Carry store on El Camino. The few Indian stores that we visited were almost lacking in some thing or the other. Not so with this store. This store features fresh vegetables and fruits and also a variety of read-to-eat Indian stuff (refrigerated and other dry stuff). Plus the great part of this store is that it is clean and big, something that most other stores in the immediate vicinity lack. Shopping is easy here. As is everything in the Bay area, weekends are perhaps a wrong time to be in this store given the huge number of people who come here, but weekdays are a breeze. The staff is helpful and polite. You almost have everything you require and cant recollect a single instance where we wanted some stuff and we could not get it.Apart from groceries and readymade stuff-to-eat, this store also has utensils that anyone growing in India is familiar too. The store can improve in stocking these utensils, but then in all the months that I have been there, I have never seen anyone buying these utensils so perhaps the management is aware of this.In short, if you are looking to buy fresh groceries, pulses, grains, flour and other Indian food, this is the place that you want to go in the Dublin-Pleasanton area. I am fairly certain that you will not be disappointed. The only thing that I am not sure is cost and how they compare it to ICC. But then again, most of our grocery purchases that we do once a week is limited to a few 10s of dollars. Frankly, it doesnt matter whether we save or lose a buck or two.

Crowded during the weekends and as heard by many, slightly expensive ham most places. If I compare the prices I have paid over the last 2 years, they have quietly raised it by over 25-30% or more.

Worst customer service. Staff is busy in their own conversations with each other at billing counter without caring about what they are billing. Some staff are busy in phone as well while billing.Please learn to address customers and greet them atleast when they get to billing counter.

All I can ask for. Good selection, well sanitized, socially distanced. Masks seem to be mandatory because I havent seen anyone in this store without one.
