2023-08-28 19:13:54Great buffet, it is home cooked type of Indian food. What Indians traditionally eat on a daily basis.Very healthy and not much salt or oil in the food. Some people left reviews saying the food is bland, I understand what they’re saying but honestly this is what everyday Indian food is like. You can add the chutneys on top that are available in the buffet for free to enhance the taste.Lovely food and service and the salads are great too and so re the sweets

2023-01-12 21:12:23Recently, dining at New Indias Oven in Venice Beach, LA was a pleasure. The owners were friendly and welcoming, and there was ample parking available. The food was delicious! Even without being an expert in Indian cuisine, it was clear that the flavors were spot on. The unique spices used in the dishes really added to the experience.Overall, it was a great experience. New Indias Oven should definitely be visited by anyone looking for a tasty and authentic Indian meal, with friendly owners to make them feel at home.

2023-04-12 22:49:05Worst food ever & the service was ok. We ordered papri chaat, chicken biryani, garlic naan, paneer tikka masala, kebab thali, and gulab jamun. Chicken biryani was like sweet rice with few chicken pieces. Garlic naan & Paneer tikka masala were ok, kebab thali was horrible, and gulab jamun was served cold.Would not recommend it to anyone.

2023-09-22 04:33:45After several disappointing experiences with various Indian restaurants, I had refrained from indulging in Indian cuisine for the past five years. Despite my desire to support my Indian compatriots, I regretfully cannot extend my endorsement to this establishment, as the butter chicken I ordered was far from authentic in taste. To potential patrons:I would advise caution when considering dining here. The flavors presented are not an accurate representation of genuine Indian cuisine.AVOID THIS PLACE.LIFES ALREADY A CHALLENGE,DONT WORSEN IT BY DINING HERE.To the management:I would strongly suggest a reassessment of your culinary approach. Consider investing in a seasoned chef, sourcing authentic Indian spices, and eliminating the use of artificial colors and sweeteners. While it may necessitate a slight increase in prices, customers are willing to pay a premium for truly authentic, quality dishes. Business acumen is crucial in this competitive industry, and its vital to prioritize quality over cutting corners.

2022-03-29 22:54:26Back in buffet action! A great spot for lunch or dinner, and for large groups or individuals.I’m not sure why a lot of reviews call the food bland, this was my first time and I loved it - The potato cakes were actually too spicy for my toddler 😊You’ll find a delightful variety of vegetable dishes. The curried cabbage is amazing.Their chicken tikka masala was incredibly tender and ranks top on my list for chicken tikka in this city. For dessert, they serve a rice pudding with healthy bits of nuts. They also have Gulab Jamun, a dessert that is like donut holes soaked in simple syrup. Their carrot cake was traditional indian style and came with raisins - all of this can be mixed up and eaten together. They also serve fresh orange slices.Plenty of open seating space in a lovely decorated setting, and ample parking out front.

2019-07-21 04:23:08Wonderful food with wonderful service! My girlfriend and I have come here twice and the server remembered us and even the dishes that we ordered! Its very inviting and the atmosphere is very comfortable. If youre unfamiliar with Indian food, youll want to get a dish, add naan bread, and add rice and youll have a very filling meal at a reasonable price. The Vegetable Korma is particularly delicious! I also recommend the garlic naan as well.We have yet to try the buffet, but the dinners have been delightful!

2023-08-20 21:50:05The owner is incredibly friendly and nice butthe food is absolutely awful. Everything was bland, the meat tasted old, and the vegetables lacked any spice what so ever.Don’t waste your time unless your looking to be disappointed. I’m genuinely upset at the meal and money I just wasted… 😒😒

2023-09-14 14:30:29Please don’t ever go here! I have never had horrible Indian food until now. If there was a -10 on here, I would give it that rating. The food was so gross that I felt like I wanted to vomit. The people are nice but the food is awful please please please avoid it.The fish curry tasted like tomato sauce from the 99 Cents store --- actually worse. The rice was more flavorful than the Saag paneer and the Dal was tasteless. The only thing that tasted fairly well was the Raita and you can’t go wrong with that because it’s basically yogurt. The samosa crust was decent but the meat lacked flavor.Perhaps the restaurant caters towards the elderly who live in the area and are need of salt-free, flavorless dietary options like Indian Food at this restaurant.Unfortunately, I might have to go to Cedars Marina after this.#Worst Indian food everUPDATE: The server asked us how was everything and when I shook my head to indicate it wasnt good, she walked away, went to the back/kitchen and never returned. Then I summoned for the manager who was sitting at the table. Mind you, there were no other customers. When we informed how tasteless are food was and how it was making me feel sick, he outwardly refuted the stomach ache and desire to regurgitate that I was feeling. He also confirmed my suspicions about the food catering to his clientele. Then, he began to dictate our spice levels and suggested that he could redo our food by making it medium.Of course I informed him my sister had medium, he transformed into a health expert and began to say how her spice level was spicy and that he could redo her food. When I asked about mine, he said he could make it medium...which was perplexing because we already told him the medium was just as awful as the mild.Overall, he was rude, dismissive, and whisked away our barely touched plates after charging us $54 for yucky Indian food that, with the exception of the samosas, piece of Tandoori chicken and bit of the saag paneer that my starving tween scarfed down, was left for them to throw away.He also said he didnt care about our reviews or what we had to say because he offered to make the food over. Why would we want to suffer all over again...Do yourself a favor and avoid this place if you are in need of true Indian food.BTW, was in the area visiting and went back for Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf around 8 or 9ish. Only two people were there.

2023-07-10 04:26:34Ordered take out. New to city. I love Indian food and this really hit the spot! We had the chicken tikki, chicken curry, tandoori wings, Samoas and garlic naan. All were all delicious! Great first experience being in our new city!
