Tasty food with a considerable amount of options for vegetarians. Tofu drunken noodle was good, yellow curry tasted good but was a tad sweet. Fried banana with ice cream was a good try.Menu was pricey, understandably because of the fine dining experience.Service was excellent.

The food was absolutely delicious, but a bit pricey. We ordered the Basil fried rice with chicken and chicken satay as an appetizer. The food was amazing, and the service was quite fast for a Saturday evening. We ordered their basil fried rice for “to go” before, but eating the same dish in the restaurant felt different, it was more flavorful. Im giving it four stars mainly because of the price of their appetizers, which cost almost the same as their main courses.

Two of us came here for lunch on 7/10/23. We ordered 3 dishes. Here are my ratings:1/ Beef salad: very good. Tender ground beef went well with the dressing (lime, fish sauce, sugar). It came in a good portion.2/ Seafood with curry: excellent dish. The curry sauce was a little sweet, rich and lots of flavor from curry and basil. The seafood was cooked to perfection. The fish was soft but not dry. The squid and scallops were tender and not chewy. We asked for mild spicy level and the chef made exactly what we wanted.3/ Eggplants and chicken: good. The eggplants were very soft. The white meat chicken was tender. The sauce was neither too salty nor too bland. It was just right taste. However, it was a little greasy like Chinese food. It would be great if they added more basil leaves. The service was also excellent. Staff were very attentive. They refilled water and checked with us about the food taste few times.Overall we had a very good lunch at this place. Although prices were a little high but we think it was worth it when you have good foods and good services. I recommend this restaurant.

Small restaurant we had to wait 6 people but the food was ok. Only the papaya salad was good. Kids. Dont like the green green curry they say too sweet.. dont order the shrimp pineapple fry rice not very good only saw 1 shrimp also, the fry rice not even in a half pinapple. The seafood hotpot soup was a disappointment blan not very much topping and it was expensive and watery..dessert was ok. its winter now so they dont have Mango with sticky rice.. This restaurant is expensive and food is not all that good.

This review has been long overdue. Ive been a patron of Krungthai ever since my childhood when it was located on San Carlos St., a tiny spot known mainly to the Thai community.Fast forward nearly four decades, and both of its current locations have thrived. This branch, in particular, stands out due to its stylish and culturally inspired decor. I find that both locations consistently serve excellent quality food.During a recent visit for lunch with a friend whos not particularly fond of Thai cuisine, we tried a variety of dishes including chicken satay, eggrolls, crab fried rice, and combo Pad Thai. The fried rice was delicious, and the Pad Thai was consistently excellent, a true classic. My friend was very pleased with our lunch and plans to return.Lunch service was fast, friendly and accurate. The portions are a nice size. The staff is always consistently sweet and accommodating. We like the causal and inviting vibe.Despite occasional crowding during rush hours, weekends, and evenings, its well worth the wait. Krung Thai is one of the most authentic Thai restaurants in the Southbay, and its proximity to Valleyfair makes it a convenient choice for shoppers. They offer a parking lot, and theres also street parking nearby.

The taste of Thai food is very ordinary, the freshness of the ingredients is average, and the service is average. I am very disappointed and will not come again😫!

I had Basil Fried rice, curry and Sticky Mango. They are all very good… the spice levels are not very spicy like other places in Bay area. I would order 4/5 next time.

Best Thai food in the Bay Area. Pad Thai is a must order dish. Fried fish cake is very tasty. Lemon sea bass is very fresh. Highly recommend.

Food is on the pricier side, but very generous portions. This is the only place that my husband and I were able to find in San Jose that had very authentic Thai food as weve moved here recently. We will definitely be coming back here again.
