Wow.. best experience in a long time! You get a multiple course meal. Each person order a dish and a biggger group (even small) shares. Huge huge potions of food!!Definitely going back.

It smelled utterly disgusting like rotten fish and sewage waste and a hot port-a-john. Ive always been told by my friends to not go here but I figured I would try it for myself and form my own opinion and I definitely regret even walking through that door. Not to mention there was a single person in the restaurant and it was an employee, probably a sign I shouldnt eat there anyways.

My family has patronized this establishment for several years, however the quality of food and service has really gone down. Not sure if there was change of ownership, but we did not enjoy the experience and dont plan on visiting again. When we asked for more green tea, the waitress just added more hot water to a large pot. We were 6 in the party and not once did the waitress ask us if all was well. The chicken felt chewy and the generals chicken i ordered was not What I expected.

After seeing our soup comes in a broken edge bowl and lots scratchers on the plate and spoon they seved for our soup, felt like throwing up. Fried rice was ok. They need some serious upgrade and all new utensils. Wont be going back.

This was, without a doubt nor the slightest exaggeration, the worst Chinese food I’ve bought in many years. Not only was it not ready on time, despite there being no customers at all in the restaurant (no surprise, I see now). I was charged according to a different(?) menu’s prices- far more than what their online menu states. And honestly, I could have dealt with the above issues MAYBE if the food was even remotely good. It was awful. I was embarrassed for bringing this to a family get together. We threw it out. Yes, that bad; and also with a woman behind the counter that was so rude she would be fired if it weren’t her family’s business.Hot & Sour Soup- Edible..?Crispy Scallops- Dry, chewy, and nothing more than a few scallops fried in batter.. no sauce, veggies, or anything of any kind to go with itCombination chow mein- Maybe edible? At best? Overcooked, oversized, mealy mush noodles with no flavor, but a lot of oil.DO NOT GO HERE.Try Yan’s on N Main in Walnut Creek instead- their food is always amazing

This is a really great restaurant! The food is amazing! The prices are very reasonable. The service is the best part of this restaurant. You feel like you are part of their family when you eat here. This is my go to place for special family gatherings. Tonight, my husband was coming home late. I met him at the door with take out food from New Lims Garden. My husband said, it was the best welcome home he could have imagined.

The only thing that was OK and seemed fresh was the fried rice. The lemon chicken and the pot stickers were horrible. It looked like they were cooked the day before. I had to toss the pot stickers that were like rubber. Nothing was hot and I got there before the order was ready. Obviously we will not go back.

It is toss up feeling about this restaurant. Foods are delicious but the owner getting greedier to make portions of foods smaller and smaller. That place is a hole in the wall to describe the dirty chairs and so outdated decor.

Staff was pretty rude and impatient; while I understand that they were understaffed it didnt help to see they were more patient with other tables. The food was terrible: not a lot of meat in our dishes, mostly sauce and garnish, clams were sandy, there was something hard in the snow pea leaves, and they didnt have a lot of the seafood we were interested in ordering.

Our family tends to order takeout here since its close to home, the food is good and the prices are reasonable. Dining here was unpleasant. Waited in the lobby for a table while employees went about their business without acknowledging us. Twice they looked at us but never came to assist. Wasnt even that busy. They forgot to bring our drink that was ordered. Service level was just unacceptable. Will continue to get takeout to support local business but they need to work on their services.

Came here on 3/15 for the dinner services. The place was empty, only one person was sitting at a table. Was greeted kinda rude which never happened since I come here a few times during lunch, the service is normally great. After being seated and a good 15 min goes by and the waitress just vanished. Looked around and noticed two workers just socializing, I was ready to order but the waitress was no where in sight. Never got to order anything and decided to just leave. I would understand if it was busy but there was only one other person in the restaurant besides me that was also waiting. Horrible dinner service but great lunch service. Would never eat dinner there again.

Recently (in past 7 or so DAYS) they got a new or reapired roof. I feel bad for those that were there when the roof leaked on them while they ate at the restaurant, but my fiance and I have had no complaints in the last 12 months. We ordered take out and experienced the leaky roof too. We felt bad that it was happening to them. We werent upset by it, but we, never judge a book by its cover, or by the first few pages. We have never sat in the restaurant, however we are not that couple that wants to eat at a restaurant. All that aside we have always been 100% pleased with our orders. I was even late picking up an order, but they thought they did something wrong and compensated us with a free side of green beans; very well done if I may add. If you want to support your local businesses please give New Lims Garden a try. I placeed an order while I was in Vallejo and coming to town because THEY ARE THAT GOOD! Other places are also very expensive and the food met less than our expectations. NEW LIMS GARDEN is reasonably priced with very satisfyingly good food without the extra heaviness we have experienced else where. Its ready quickly, but if youre not ready when they tell you it will be ready TELL THEM! It is worth it. Today they told me my order would be ready in 15 mins. I told them I was 25 minutes away and asked if they could make the food then. They did, it was hot, fresh, and ready. CONCORD please give them a chance. Previous visitors give them a second chance 🙌 We are loyal to New Lims Garden.

Nice Cantonese style Chinese restaurant. Clean, lots of natural light, small but comfortable and relaxing. Nice big screen in the main dining room for watching the game while dining on tasty, well prepared dishes. Cod with black bean sauce, good sized pot stickers, all meat and poultry dishes were perfect. Would definitely come here again with friends!

Great customer service and food. Our waitress knew my grandmother since she has been going there for years and the waitress Rene made sure we were well taken care of. We ordered the family style items on page one of the menu for four of us and it was enough food to feed at least another 2-3 more people. The building could use some tlc as a water leak started dripping from the ceiling after the ran began coming down. Overall great experience and Ill be back

Don’t order take out. You’ll be sorry. Wanna support small business? Not this one. We called in an order and the woman said 50min to an hour. We came 55 min later. Nobody at the entrance just people standing around waiting for their orders. 10 min later, woman appears. She collects my money and says a few minutes. We suspect that they didn’t start the order until I showed up. My family have been going to Lims on and off since they were in their tiny space on Oak Grove Rd.The food was meh. Portions are big but food is average and it’s relatively cheap.

Excellent! Although completely partial to this place being one of a few frequently visited places with family. Can personal vouch for the following dishes:○ Honey Walnut Prawns○ Wanton Noodle Soup with Roast Duck/Beef/ or Roast BBQ Pork [I like it with soup in the side and dry thin egg noodle soup douche in their special sauce]○ Cant remember the few others. May be back for an edit if I ever make it back with a menu! ^_^

Although New Lims is out in the suburb, it has pretty authentic Cantonese food. We went for a banquet style lunch and had about 13 dishes to share among 13 of us. Everything we tried was great! I was truly surprised.I really like their pepper steak; the steak is tender and the black pepper sauce is awesome. Their Peking Pork Chop is deep fried and crispy on the outside. Their Fukien Fried Rice is amazing; I have never had that before but it was delicious with soft tofu gravy with green peas, and scallops. The only I dont really care for is their eggplant in garlic sauce. It was not made traditionally and was way too greasy.We will be back for sure very soon!

We ordered take out broccoli beef vegetable chow mein orange chicken chicken fried rice walnut prawns and egg rolls. Found a legitimate quarter to half inch piece of metal on my plate, quite sure from broccoli - the mental things which hold them together. Just happy no one ingested it and more problems happened. In side is not clean either which is a sign. I hate writing bad reviews but when you almost break my tooth screw that!

My ex swears by there Salt and Pepper Pork Chops *and* there Honey Walnut Prawns. I am kinda partial to there Wonton Noodle Soup which I get dry with brown sauce, roast duck, egg noodles and Wonton soup on the side. Used to have to travel to Daly City for this stuff!

So we went on a rainy day,and when we arrived we noticed the ceiling leaking in certain spots, but we were starving so we just ignored, the restrooms were dirty, and there was a strong smell of humidity inside the whole restaurant, the mushu pork was burnt and there no water to drink, so the two stars is just for the price, it was cheap
