Heres what we did with $60 worth of food. The food taste like trash. How this place is in business is beyond me. How anyone gave this place a good rating Id mind boggling. This isnt chinese food. I feel nauseated and wish I could get back my money and stomach balance.Disgusting!

We had dinner here tonight after kids requested Panda Express. Lol. We told them we have much better option and boy theyre glad we came here. The sweet and sour chicken is really good. I love the Beef with string beans. Theyre both flavorful. The guy server is nice and our food came in quick. I wish the parking situation is better but the food makes up for it.

We dined in for lunch and had kung pao shrimp, honey walnut shrimp, and the cream cheese wonton appetizer. We were very happy with the experience and felt it was an excellent value. Nothing fancy; a real mom and Pop shop. Use navigation because its a little tricky to find.

Delicious food, spectacular costumer service! We were served generous portions and the lady who was serving us was very attentive and helpful! She even packed our leftover food for us! More than that, I was fortunate enough to witness an incredible act of kindness! The man from the kitchen helped an elderly woman take her to-go order to her car, along with a delicious meal I was served a heartwarming experience! 10/10 would go again!

The vegetarian chow mein and broccoli with tofu (called bean curd) are amazing! I would recommend getting the broccoli with soft tofu. We picked fried, but it was super squishy. Not so very crispy. Service was a bit slow, but that was due to a big party

I COME HERE ALL THE TIME AFTER EVERY SINGLE FIELD OP AND WHEN I CRAVE CHINESE FOOD!!! My girl and I love it so very much and the restaurant is family owned and very friendly. Food is delicious. I recommend the beef and broccoli with DINNER A combo. You can’t go wrong. As well as the sides that I have in these photos.Sorry they are Instagram edits.

Best Chinese food in San Clemente. Large portions, priced good. Never had anything off the menu that wasn’t delicious. Been going here for close to 20 years and it’s one of my favorite restaurants in town. Best chow mein anywhere. Food does well being delivered or picked up, it doesn’t get soggy.

Confusingly aggressive staff??? The service at the restaurant is truly deplorable. The people are rude, unnecessarily entitled, condescending and flat out unpleasant. When you try and order by phone they have a tendency to scream or even hang up on you when you ask fo something as simple as extra broccoli. No matter how kind and sincere you are they act like you just asked them to make the sky green and the grass blue and have it ready for pick up in 10 minutes. HOWEVER, having said that, the one undeniable thing this restaurant has to “bring to the plate” (pun intended ;)) is that their food is a actually quite delicious. Perfect for a greasy Chinese food take out and watch a moving at home! Do not recommend dining in however is dirty and unpleasant to be around such a staff and they do not make it easy to have a comfortable and leisurely dining experience but the younger staff who do not act like your every order is a great inconvenience are actually quite lovely and a breath of fresh air! Watch out for their return on your bill though! That have a frequent tendency to not give you back the correct change and hope you don’t notice.

My family has been dining here for years and it is always good. I enjoy everything about dining here. The staff is friendly, they atmosphere is enjoyable, and the food is delicious. I even greatly appreciate the added touch of the gigantic lazy Susan (probably not the culturally correct term) in the middle of the table to facilitate family style feasting.

The staff not to friendly they dont seem like they enjoy serving others. I realize they may be finically devastated by the previous quarantine.I have been there previously 2013 the staff was attentive and the food was good. The wife and i this last visit ordered dishes that had pork. There was no red color usually you see in the pork. It was gray in color, not much favor The texture was strange. We think they must be freezing it and thawing it, and cooking it, just my opinion . The other dish sweet and sour chicken had no flavor and no broccoli just some onion and some carrot shaving, the onions where not cooked enough and the chicken was mushy ! Its sopose to be crispy on the coating on the chicken, not mushy.Also had Egg foo young asked to have a combo shrimp and pork did not enjoy no bean sprouts I saw 1 shrimp and, yes GRAY pork cubes there was more egg than anything I will have to keep looking for a decent Egg Foo Young. This one was gross! It is what it is people !

I ordered for the first time today. My dad grew up in New York and loves Chinese food. Ginger took my order and was so sweet and efficient. The delivery was prompt and my father raved about how delicious the food was. Thank you we will definitely order again soon!

Wonderful food. Im a very critical foodie who is normally unimpressed by cookie-cutter, oversauced, overcooked Chinese - and this restaurant is NOT that. I ordered orange shrimp lunch. The shrimp was not overcooked - but perfect. Lightly sweet and spicy. And way more shrimp than I could eat in one sitting. Ill be coming back.

I visit this place very often i love there food. But I always get so bad service from owner and skinny girl and there male waitress have been so rude every single time I visit I gone like once or twice a week for pick up . I recently visited this place with my family for dine in . And I can say im so disappointed for the way they treated us. I had told my family how good there food was and that they would love it . Watch out they will tell you one price and charge you a different. I was told $53 dollars and they charged $63. I was missing an egg roll they said came with 2. I was told free delivery on orders over fifty when i called and placed my order. When i had to call back i was told they charged a $3 delivery fee anyway. They were unwilling to help and blamed me and just kept saying i was wrong and the totals were right.1 small dinner combo, 2 small entrees, and 1 side are not worth $63.41. they charged me $20 for 1 small to go container, 1 small pint of soup, 1 egg roll, and 2 cream cheese wantons. I can cook all this better than that and for way less. I will not be ordering from here again, and i suggest you pay with a credit card so if they screw you over you can dispute it easily.

We have been going here for years and I am so disappointed with our latest order. The lemon chicken was so tough, you could barely cut it with a knife, as well as the fried shrimp! And our order was very mixed up and we we’re shorted items and still charged for them. I don’t know if there is a new cook/owner but the quality of the food is not good at all.So long Mandarin Garden.

Delicious, flavorful and fresh food served piping hot in large portions. Lightning fast, friendly service, very attentive staff with family atmosphere. Our kids are full with lots to take home, impressive because they are teens. The kung pow was amazing. We absolutely will add this to our list of places to come the next time we are in the area. I would give them 6 stars if I could.

I was visiting the area and was very exited to try this place out. The staff seemed great, but I received my order five minutes after I placed it, so I am sure that order was already made. I didn’t mind it because it was hot; however, when I got to my hotel and opened the bag with the food, it had nothing to eat with. I had to go to the store and buy some flatware. Not happy :(

My family went to this restaurant for many years, when I was younger and we lived in Oceanside - the owner is very nice, the staff have always been great people and the food is always delicious. We still try to stop here and eat when we are in the area and have the chance to. A definite must try!

They were sooo nice at this restaurant! We came in with our two kids. They were very accommodating and attentive. Service was just so great. We just kept noting how nice our waiter ( think he was the owner) was. Food was great. Overall great dinner for us after a day at Legoland and a long drive home in front of us.

The food was pretty good but the reason I gave it two stars is because the server was rude, he made it really hard to order. Im Hispanic so I kind of felt discriminated, the next family that came in he was nicer to, The busser was nice on the other hand.He kept asking me if it was okay what I ordered and stating that it was pricey, as if though I didnt have money to pay. My hubs lived in SC years ago and spoke highly of this place, and we happened to have a craving for something outside our Ladera Ranch ‘hood tonight, so here we landed. Sweet family-run restaurant tucked back into an adorable plaza called Old Town. Attentive service, for sure! They only serve beer and wine, but I love the way they keep the sake hot in a metal pot with hot water!!! The egg drop was really delicious, and their hot and sour soup did not disappoint! We shared house fried rice, Hong Kong-style shrimp and beef tenderloin and the 3-ingredient sizzling platter. The only disappointment was with the latter entree; it sizzled VERY briefly when our server added the sauce to the skillet, so subsequently, the food didn’t really get a ton of flavor or sear. Secondly, it was listed as a shrimp, chicken and beef dish, but when served to us was all scallops, imitation crab and shrimp, which delighted my hunny none since he barely eats shrimp. Fresh ingredients (just not always the correct ones) still gets 4 stars from us!

Wow ! Thats the best way to describe the best Chinese food around! First off, the hot and sour soup is to die for. The Kung Pao, orange chicken and handmade fried dumplings are amongst the best youll ever put in your mouth. Lunch menu is the best deal but If you go for dinner youll most likely have left overs which isnt a crime. Haha. Everybody who works there is super friendly and welcoming. Now that I write this, Ill have to go in for some lunch because Im simply craving it.

Delicious and reasonably priced. The boss will standardize the English service again, the business will be better and better.

The only thing we arrived at was around 8:15 or 8:20pm on a Sunday and they told us that they closed at 9pm and we were waiting for other people and they didnt think so, we felt pressured but the food is good.
