First time dining here. The Wor WonTon was just okay for us. The broth flavor was dominated by soy sauce but the vegetables and wontons along with the chicken and pork chashu was good. The Seared Pot Stickers with dipping sauce, Hong Kong Style Chow Mein and the Salt and Pepper Fish was really good and tasty. Hot tea helped settle the food. Happy stomachs!!! Lots of left overs for take home. Can’t wait to try the other food options. 😋

The best service! New Star’s War Wanton Soup is famous for good reason! It’s delicious! And the variety of reasonably priced lunch specials offers something for everyone. Dine in service is always friendly. It is not fancy, and the exterior maybe confusing with the other restaurant next door, but I’ve been a customer since 2006. Go here!

This is usually my go to spot, service is usually nice and their food is delicious! However yesterday I ordered and picked up. Got charged $28.19 which was the correct total. Then I wake up on Mothers day to see the amount changed to $56.38. I got charged 2xs and they arent even open on Sundays to get a refund. This is super sketchy especially after the lady asked for a tip. This shouldnt have happened! After I dispute the amount I will not be returning!

I ORDER A CHICKEN CHOW MEIN FRIED RICE ORANGE CHICKEN. I GOT MY ORDER WENT TO MY CAR AND FOUND OUT IT WAS ONLY CHICKEN FRIED RICE WITH ORANGE CHICKEN. WENT BACK AND TOLD THEM ABOUT IT. The hot sauce tasted water down and it took flavor from the meal. We ordered 6 lunch combo and they gave us 2 cups of hot sauce. The guy looked like I forced him to give me more hot sauce. Part of the meat was cold and I didn’t finish meal once I had enough from the taste.

A nice little gem near right by hwy 198. I came here with some friends and we were not disappointed. You should definitely try their salt and pepper calamari and honey walnut shrimp! If youre craving some soup, try out their egg drop soup and hot and sour soup. They were so good that we ordered a container to go after dining in.Its a small mom and pop shop so wait times were about 15-25 minutes during rush hour, but it was well worth the wait. The server was nice and accommodating.

Ordered vegetable tofu. I was very specific I asked for no fish sauce oyster sauce or any animal products. I made it super clear. I even repeated myself two to three times. I still ended up finding slices of chicken in my meal.

I have been coming here for when I have a craving for Chinese cuisine for around 6 years. The Owner is an amazing person, and really cares about the quality of the food.They have to have the best chow mein I have tasted. Its not overly saturated with grease like many other places. I also highly enjoy their egg flower soup! It also has to be the best I have had.New Star Restaurant is somewhere I alwaysRecommend my friends and family to come if they want good quality food.

We ordered takeout at our hotel - just in town for a couple of days. I had the best egg foo young Ive ever had! HUGE serving size - a little spice in there, but really tasty! Even the vegetable fried rice was terrific! Chunks of vegetables - really great. And it arrived piping hot at our hotel! Thank you!

Love their food, especially their Honey walnut shrimp. Usually the service is awesome but today not so great. Our young waitress was awesome but the older Asian woman ruined our experience today. We order our noodles crispy on the bottom and our waitress said that was Chinese style so instead we got these hard crispy noodles that looked like salad toppings. When our waitress came by I let her know we were expecting something different and she said she would see what she could do. Well the older waitress came out with a very small bowl and rudely said she was giving us more noodle but this would be the last time she would do this. First of all never asked for more and second of all obviously they didn’t understand what we wanted in the first place. I always tell people to try this place out because the food is great. Seriously how much could a small bowl of noodles cost. The older lady was so rude to us when we paid for our food.

Their food is usually good. Ordered take out repeated #2 twice on the phone went to pick up, it was a #3 . With no egg rolls, which I love. Paid and left anyway wasnt going to wait for them to do another. Acted like it was my fault. Not going back!!

The last time I was there with my family it was 5 of use and only 4 of use ordered food. When I got my receipt I notice it said Tip $6. they had the nerve to give them self’s a tip when I had already given them a tip in cash. I asked what was that she said she had to charge a extra due to being a big group of people. ???? I told her it’s only 5 of use and she give me the money back in my card. So keep an eye on your receipt next time your there.

The usual place I go to was closed, so I tried this place. The food was ok not that great. However the customer service was quick and very good. I got the orange chicken and fried rice plate. The rice was a bit dry and the chicken did not have a Citrus flavor at all? It was edible but I think I’ll just wait or try a different restaurant next time . Sorry but wasn’t to my liking.

I ordered take out and they got the order wrong. I ordered Shrimp Egg Fu Young and they gave me greasy fried shrimp. I walked to restaurant to place the order and was not going to walk back to get it corrected. Food was greasy and bad. You definitely do not want to eat at this place. They basically stole money from me. Charged me for Shrimp Egg Fu Young and then gave me something that was $6 cheaper. This place is a garbage.

Order food for 3 people and a kids plate go to pickup my order and its $70. Apparently they raised their prices on everything and when I mentioned how much something cost on the phone they never bothered to correct me or tell me how much my order cost or I would have cancelled it right then. If I wasnt a decent person I would have walked out without the food or paying. They last at the counter could have cared less. Spend your money at another place cause this Chinese aint that good, certainly not worth what they are charging.

This place is the freshest Chinese food for sure. The sweet &sour pork has a crunch to it and is not all soggy. Soups are so flavorful. You can tell everything is made fresh and not just sitting around all day in bulk. Wont go anywhere else for Chinese.

Visalia chinese food isnt that great, but this place takes the trophy for being the worse. First, the lady at the cashier is so rude. Appetizers are a shame, asked for fried chicken wings and I just got 1/3 of the wing, wth is that? Also, is the most expensive chinese restaurant in the area, the food isnt great, lame at best. Dont waste your money here, youve been warned.
