Walked into the restaurant and asked if they make any appetizers. The owner was so rude and said no. I then asked if I could get a California roll and was informed we don’t make. It was the worst customer service experience I’ve ever experienced. They didn’t even offer me a menu.

The husband and wife that own the place are always the only two working. Im not big on sushi so havent tried that but the chicken protein bowl is absolutely amazing. It almost feels like a crime to know about this place!

Prices are all at least $5 more per item than what is listed on the menu. The food is fine but very shady practice of up charging once you order... Blame it on inflation if you want, but at least you could update the pricing on the menu

Would love to support this local business but they have no menu available, so how do I know if I even want to go here? I even called and they said you have to call to find out what’s on the menu. You could’ve easily emailed it to me. I hope this business gets there’s stuff together.

Husband and wife owned and ran. They are always so kind. You can trust the integrity of the food. It may look like a hole in the wall, but its so yummy and always good. I recommend the chicken egg protein bowl.

A classic mom and pop beach restaurant. The hand written menus are a little unprofessional but you can tell they love what they do based on the food quality. Best item = Protein bowl. Skip the menus and ask. The secret protein bowl is the only thing anyone regularly buys since its not even on the handwritten (funky) menu

This is a hidden gem in Newport. The protein bowl is fantastic and the sushi is great too. And if a cheese steak sandwich is what you want, they make a very tasty one here. Thats how I originally discovered it!

One of my must stops in Newport Beach. The husband and wife who run and own the place are very friendly and hard working people. The spicy chicken and egg bowl, along with the spicy sashimi bowl, are amazing fresh made items.

This is the most exciting sushi place as far as the food goes. I recommend the Sashimi Bowl. They have a proprietary family recipe for the rice that has a lot of good stuff in it. Kelp sesame seed xcetera they can make it hot medium or mild. It is awesome.! The ambiance is not that great. But the Sushi is. You will find things here done nowhere else. I love it. it is now my favorite sushi place.

The menu online is pretty outdated, the one they have in store has lots of sharpe edits all over it. Not too much space inside, takeout would be a better option. Sushi was pretty expensive (~$50 for 3 people). Sushi was well made

There is not another rice recipe in the world that comes even close to the quality and deliciousness of Newport Fresh. Literally. Newport Beach is lucky! I travel all over but nothing beats it. My favorite is the sashimi bowl (not spicy).

I tried the dish with salmin my friend tried the sword fish. It was tasty and more classy than what I guessed. That was not just fried fish it was special receipt which was carefully cooked by a chef.
