Fast fresh and tasty. The grilled chicken sandwich was a really nice Bahn Mi. Good tasting sauces that were mildly spicy. Egg rolls were nicely done too. Highly recommend giving it a shot.

Its a small place. They cook the food in the front so it does smell if youre dining in. Ordered the garlic chicken noodles, bulgogi sandwich, crawfish pasta. They were all great. Lots of flavors that is well balanced. The spicy dipping sauce is also good.

We went all the way from Ladera Ranch to Costa Mesa for this. And it was worth it! The pasta and noodle dishes are amazing with generous servings. We’ll surely come back.

I love that the food is fresh and delicious plus affordable! They will take to serve the food about 10 minutes after ordering depending on the amount of people before you arrive. For lunch or dinner its the best there is in SoCal!!! 😋

This was my first time at Nguyen’s Kitchen and I just wanted to share my experience for those who may have similar preference like me.1. Burnt meat: Pork was all burnt. As you see in the photos, they were too burnt. I understand there could be some burnt part of meats by cooking from the grill. Some may prefer their meats to be cook in this matter. However, for me and my family, this was burnt to the level beyond what we would eat. When we mentioned this issue to the restaurant, we were told it is how they normally cook. So, if you are a bit more cautious about burnt meats like we are, I would recommend to avoid Nguyen’s Kitchen.2 Music: The volume of music they played in the restaurant was very high. We had to raise our voice like we were in a club😅 So, if you are expecting to find a restaurant where you can eat and enjoy conversations, I would recommend to avoid dining in at this restaurant.

It was my first time at Nguyens Kitchen. The hype was definitely worth it. The Lychee peach tea was really good. My favorite were the fries. The chicken wings were a bit on the saltier side of my liking. The sliders were quite tasty, and the garlic noodles were probably top 5 places Ive tried. Definitely will be back.

Decent food, nothing spectacular. Ive had better garlic noodles. The garlic fries were way too garlicky, even for a garlic head like myself.The bulgogi had a lot of fat, which I know already has some, but this was too fatty. Its also quite flavorless, and relies to heavily on the rest of its companion toppings.The sandwich was good though. As mentioned, the meat was flavorless, but the pickled carrots were delicious with the cilantro and green sauce that comes with the sandwich.It wouldnt be a place I would chose to dine at again, but I wouldnt object to it if someone else wanted to come here.For garlic noodles, try Vox Kitchen in Fountain Valley or Sup Noodle Bar in Buena Park.

Worth the hype Ive heard about it, forgot to review it properly the first time I went so updating this one! Love how small and cozy it is. I got the garlic noodles with pork and while I would have loved more veggies with it, it was pretty good. Also, love the teas they offer! For sure one of my new to-go spots when Im in the area, or crave something late at night.

My impression is the food is pretty good, and the food cost is not exorbitant. $5 for a small serving of popcorn chicken, $5 for 2 egg rolls and $10 for a grilled chicken sandwich. The sandwich is tasty, but if youre looking for a 1/2 pound of meat on your sandwich, this place is not for you; the sandwich has lots of veggies and just enough chicken to let you know its there. I think thats good because the food is light and wont sit in your stomach like a rock. Though its $20 bucks, theres enough food for 2 meals. So do I like it, yes, and would I go back, yes.

Always love coming here for their garlic noodles. Personally enjoy the pork with it instead of the beef. Overall enjoy most of the menu items.The only exception for me was how the egg was cooked for the fry topping, they didnt ask how I liked it cooked and perhaps rightly so if thats how the restaurant believes this dish should be enjoyed. However, as much as I enjoy runny yolks, I dont like having any raw whites on my eggs (which I think is described as over easy).Despite the egg, everything else Ive tasted so far has been delicious and pretty much consistent everytime I come here. Another plus is how late they stay open.Id recommend the garlic noodles if its your first meal here.

Nice that its opened late. They offer good variety of meals, they have sandwiches, noodles, I believe they also have rice dishes.Parking lot and siting area is quite small, so there was a wait when we went.Downside, but due to the smoke inside, they had the AC blasting, it made my food super cold within minutes of getting my order.

We were looking for something to eat around Anaheim and this place popped up. I always enjoy trying something new. This place hit flavor on the mark. We had the grilled pork rice bowl, garlic noodles, chicken nuggets, and Cajun fries.The grilled pork bowl was good, pork nicely grilled with the black sauce it gave it great flavor. The 3 salads on the bowl were ok, no dressing for the tossed salad, cucumber salad didn’t seem to have much dressing, carrot dikon salad little flavor but it was good the dikon was not over powering like most other places..A little speedy for 3 of us to have lunch but we left with leftovers to take home meaning portions were good.I recommend this place if your looking for something different with great flavor. The black sauce “teriyaki” was really good on the grilled pork.. if I lived in the area I’d definitely be back but we fly back to Portland tomorrow morning… bummer next time we visit Anaheim we will come back!

SO good! Ive enjoyed this place since they first opened. Anything that you get here is absolutely delicious. Watch out for the spicy stuff if you arent a spicy person! My personal favorites are the pork chops sandwich (with no spicy sauce) and the bulgolgi garlic pasta. I also enjoy a side of Thai tea.

A very interesting menu, in a good way. A different take on noodles. I tried the shrimp and chicken noodle and the wings. Wings were good, enjoyed the sauces. Noodles were good, Id say go with chicken or steak, shrimp was good but, and this is just a personal thing, Im not into having to peel shrimp. But overall a good joint.

Both the porky belly bahn mi and the bulgogi ones are amazing. Refreshing cucumbers that are juicy and crispy, sweet salty and delicious marinated and well cooked meat, the soft, shredded carrots, crisp greens and onions along with that beautiful bread. Trust me it is definitely delicious and delivers a mouther watering experience.

If youre looking to get a quick bite to eat after a late Disney night that isnt from a drive thru, this place is great. Chicken thigh Bánh Mi and garlic noodles with added chicken was perfection after a long day.Placed an online order when we got out of Disneys parking lot, picked it up and ate it at the hotel. Order was ready when we got there (less than 15mins). No wait. Easy peazy lemon squeezey! Bahn Mi chicken sandwiches were gone before I could get a photo.

This is a great Vietnamese fusion food place that serves tapas style food. For the price of the food, the portion is huge. The shaken beef with pasta is delicious and very garlicky. The fries were delicious, and can be made more premium by paying for eggs. Im not a fan of their drinks though since its premade, and not made to order like other boba place.

Noodle bowls, salads and sandwiches were all fresh and tasty. Service was fast and friendly even for out of town visitors a little slow to review the menu and order. The restaurant is in a busy location with a moderate number of free parking spaces. Getting in and out of the lot can be tricky in heavy traffic.

Definitely a quick meal spot but theyve reliably been there when Ive needed a really late meal after workPros:- foods pretty good in terms of what you can get late at night (bánh mì and garlic noodles at midnight? Absolutely hits different)- quick meal and you wont be waiting long if it isnt too busyBeige flags:- Really small parking lot. Technically its private but with it being right next to the hospital, you might not get parking during peak times- Price point is more expensive than banh mi is usually but I attribute that to their long hours and location-store is cramped and loud and peak points so dont come here expecting a peaceful mealCons:- no real cons for me as my experiences have been relatively good and they keep the store clean :)

I ordered the meal on Doordash and it came pretty fast :) Overall, the meal wasnt half bad. The food was comforting and feels very good when eating and watching TV. The drinks were pretty good. The peach lychee tea was pretty sweet and has a fragrant tea flavor. I ordered the French fries with bulgogi and egg. The dish itself with 15$ and a big portion. The price is reasonable. The fries itself were crunchy and had good texture/garlic cajun flavor. I wasnt crazy about the bulgogi and egg though. Both was overcooked in my opinion. I wish the egg was a little runnier. But overall, if you are craving salty, savory, and garlicky food, I highly recommend Nguyens Kitchen! Do not skip out on the drinks ;)

Love that they’re open late. It’s good for late night bite after gym. But the bulgogi steak noodles and wings very very salty. Have to cancel it out with either drinking Thai tea or drench in the green sauce or siracha. Hard working individuals I really appreciate that. It would have been a great place for some good asian fusion quite bites, but overly almost everything was overly salty. The food presentation is good though and made it very appetizing initially. This place is a small restaurant with few tables, but it doesnt get too crowded on a week night. They serve mainly simple quick food that is a fusion of vietnamese and korean cuisine, such as usuing bulgogi in their garlic fries, banh mi sandwiches, and garlic noodles. I ordered their more well known grilled pork banh mi style sandwich, and my ordered their chicken salad. We also got the garlic fries with bulgogi added, and their chicken wings.The Banh mi with grilled pork was really good. I just wish it was a little bit bigger. Its about 6inches total, cut into 2 pcs. For the price I guess its not bad.The garlic fries were okay. It was heavily seasoned, and the garlic was extremely salty. Had they use less salt it would have tasted much better. It comes with green spicy cream sauce, which is very similar to the ones found in peruvian restaurants as a dip for bread. The bulgogi on the fries was so-so. It was overcooked and dried. I couldnt really taste the sweetness of the marinated bbq sauce, which is traditionally used in bulgogi. It was also too salty.The chicken wings were average. It was also extremely salty and overseasoned. The batter was okay, but it wasnt wowed maybe because of too much sodium overpowering all other flavors. It comes with a sweet honey glaze type sauce, which helped a little bit to offset some of the saltiness.

Fast-casual Vietnamese-American restaurant with great vibes in an excellent location to relax and people watch.As for the food, absolutely delicious. The pork was tender and had a slight sweetness to it, the veg was fresh, and the bread seemed as if it were baked that morning. Normally, I would eat only half a sandwich and save the rest for later, but I couldnt stop myself from finishing the whole thing here.Overall, I enjoyed myself and plan to come back often.

Weve been here before a couple years ago, and its still good! The garlic noodles are good (it has my moms approval). The meat was tender. (We got it with chicken thigh, chicken breast, and bulgogi beef). Their special sauce is tasty, though other members of my family find it too spicy. Overall experience 4 stars. Needed to finish some work and googled places to eat with Wi-Fi. Ordered the pork bowl.. delicious. Good music good food good people. Would give 5 stars but they do not have regular ice tea (c’mon this is a Vietnamese restaurant people expect regular ice tea of some sort) also I asked for the Wi-Fi password but was told Wi-Fi is not for customers even tho there is a Wi-Fi for the public and one for their private business (see attached pic).

Dude. This place is amazing. I definitely recommend the pork sandwich. I always add extra onions and it turns out phenomenal! I also like to take out the cucumber when I order, it makes the sandwich hinge break too easily and I feel that it changes the consistency of the sandwich too much. The pickled carrots and radishes has a sweet coleslaw taste to it, but slightly different did to the vegetables used. And hey, make sure to get extra of the green jalapeno sauce. Its sweet and spicy and one container per half is the perfect added condiment! (Each sandwich comes with one container already) When you put it all together, it creates a salty, sweet, and spicy sandwich that will tickle your tastebuds like no other!

I feel bad for karening, since Ive ordered here 3 times before, and those times were fine, but this time was pretty odd. Called to pickup at 10pm, and when I got home I noticed that the popcorn chicken was barely filled compared to before. Taking one piece out and you were already at the bottom. Also 1 of the 2 NK sliders were dissembled? It was just the bottom bun on the side, with the two patties on top of one bun, with two buns on top of that, so you had to take it apart then reassemble it yourself. I now know Im going to check my food before I tip and leave lol.

Went to Nguyens Kitchen for a quick lunch. Ive never been here before so I wasnt quite prepared for this... did I just walk into a Vietnamese restaurant or a burger joint? We had classic Vietnamese food to-go done well-garlic noodles with beef, grilled chicken and pork bowls, and a Vietnamese iced coffee to wash it all down. While the Beach Boys were playing in the background! Such a departure from the Buddha and electric candles of your typical V-joint. Even the facilities were clean which is a departure from your typical Vietnamese place. Bravo, Nguyens, for a great meal!

What can I say. Im an addict here. And have converted more friends and strangers to try this place out. Its only fair I now comment on them.The food, I cant get enough (seriously get the grilled pork noodles or the garlic chicken sandwich). If you dont mix it with the green sauce. Youre missing out. So ask for extra. Youll be hook. Spice levels vary. Depending on the season of the jalapeno.The staff, they know me and my regular order. Thats a good and bad thing. Because by now they know my addiction. Hands down the friendliest crew you can ask for.The atmosphere, modern look, and clean. A place to have a conversation or Friday night out dates.Price is fair for what youre paying for. Except the wings... A little pricy on that.... The restaurant was very packed and there was only one cook and two people preparing the orders- not enough staff but paced restaurant! The place is in a small corner tucked behind the hospital and parking is definitely difficult since it shares the corner of a busy street. By the time we [family of four] got there, the place was packed; luckily, some patrons were leaving so we patiently waited by their table. The egg roles were tasty and not overly-oily. The soda pop machine had no ice and the cheery coke was flat. Staff was rude, not super-attentive/concerned with resolving my problems. There was very little seating and the place was full of very loud, rude customers. If I come here again, it will only be to get food to go. Dining here is NOT pleasant whatsoever but at least some of the food here is good.

The place was busy late Wednesday night. The Vietnamese coffee was delish. The shrimps are nice and big and cooked perfect but all of the food (three dishes) has a really odd flavor. If I go back I will try the sandwiches.

The staff made me and my family feel incredibly uncomfortable. When we asked for our food to be packaged to go it became a huge problem which involved the manager talking to us and suggesting we sit outside with our infant daughter on a cold night instead of just doing as we asked. Bathroom was dirty and without toilet paper. Overall the most unpleasant dining experience that i have ever had. Avoid at all costs generic asain fusion food isnt worth the disrespectful attitude the staff had towards us.

This is one of the best discoveries Ive made. Late night and good quality comfort Asian food. Every item Ive had from here has been good and its so damn cheap and you get so much food. Bahn mi, popcorn chicken, or noodles all delicious. Its great for me as someone who works late.

Love finding a hole in the wall spot. It could be my favorite thing. Give me a line out the door and I want to taste for myself. The fact that the line is mostly Doctors and hospital staff tells screams healthy too! But the FOOD! That is the best, I had the crawfish pasta....OMG! I need more....my friend had the grilled pork noodles and raved about it too...add to your route if u are in the area at lunch time....no disappointment here

My usually is Garlic Noodz with Bulgogi. But the rice bowls and sandwiches are good too.But damn, their Thai Tea here is like crack. So smooth.

The bulgogi short rib steak sandwich is so good! The cashier also gave me a sample of the Peach and Lychee iced tea. That was the right kind of sweetness for me so I got that too. Its a nice, clean and quiet little place do enjoy a delicious sandwich and thats what I did. I will definitely go back soon and try the other sandwiches as well.

Great food and service. Our cashier, Dalton, was amazing. He made sure to give recommendations based on his own tastes and what was popular. The green sauce that comes with every dish is amazing but a bit spicy. If you like seasoned food, then the garlic noodles are great, but if you prefer your food with little to no salt, then a rice dish or sandwhich would be a safer option.If I am in anaheim again, I will go back to Nguyens.

We had a great time at Nguyens Kitchen. The cashier had great food recommendations. I enjoyed the crawfish and sausage pasta as well as the garlic fries with Bulgogi. The spicy green sauce went really well with the fries. Also, prices were reasonable!

Took way to long although we called to order and showed up 15min early we still waited for a good 30min may be because of covid buy I would think they would have some kind of priority for people who called ahead, since everyone who was in line got their food first vs the one who called it in it makes no sense. Its a fast casual type restaurant serving Vietnamese influence dishes. Pretty simple menu, noodles sandwiches and bowls. An alright place, that really is not too vietnamese and kind of just a mish mash of foods. For the price you dont get too much food either, and so portion size was pretty disappointing. Also not much in the way of flavor so it really is just an average nothing special about it spot. Wouldve been much better if they had something unique to offer in terms of types dishes and taste.

Banh mi sandwiches are delicious. Most places the bread is too hard, and the meat is scarce. But not here. The bread is hearty, yet soft on the inside. And these sandwiches are packed with meat. As for the flavor, the chicken and pork are delicious. But the bulgogi lacks in flavor. Give it a try. See what you think.
