2023-07-01 02:13:46Friday June 30th, 2023.The servers were friendly and helpful and they took our drink orders quickly. A bit later, we ordered the food- a Cobb salad and a chicken tostada salad with ranch dressing. We had water, a coke and an orange juice. The atmosphere was nice and there were only some people there during the hour we ate.

2023-05-19 16:43:27We always stop here when were in West Hills. Great diner/coffee shop. Been around for decades. We shared Chili Fries, Huevos Rancheros and Gyro (all got devoured). Friendly wait staff and hostess. Definitely want to try for dinner one night as they serve traditional Greek specialities like Moussaka and Stuffed Grape Leaves. 😋😋

2023-04-17 20:04:36First time dining at Nicos Family Restaurant. Was looking for a family dining restaurant and what a find! We really enjoyed the food, service and the atmosphere. It had a very friendly, quaint neighborhood dining atmosphere, where one could enjoy socializing with family and friends while dining. The menu had a very extensive selection. Everything they served was so-o-o delicious and good, from their food, drinks, and deserts. Oh my, the chocolate cake and apple pie were absolutely incredible! Believe it or not, we had to go back again the next day to try the other dishes. Oh, was it good! Again, we had the chocolate cake and apple pie for dessert! Anything that is made with Strawberries - i.e. smoothies, Strawberry Bellini, etc, is especially INCREDIBLE during Strawberry Season! This has become our special dining place whenever we are in this area. Highly recommend Nicos Family Restaurant.

2023-02-15 19:30:29When u walk in it looks like every diner. After diving into the huge menu u start to realize it isnt the same as every other diner. Great food. Great selection. Great service. Will definitely be back.

2023-10-29 01:50:57Everyone who worked there was very nice.I didnt think the food was very good and it was pretty expensive ($20 a plate for mediocre breakfast). I am pretty sure my huevos rancheros was made with American single cheese slices.

2023-07-16 00:50:02Went for breakfast and got the eggs Benedict, french toast and eggs with links. Everything was so delicious and tasted fresh. The staff are friendly and joke with you. They check in to see if you need anything. It was a really lovely place to eat with my parents.

2023-08-29 22:28:29Cons (first, because it was that bad)-visible rat droppings-nonchalant management regarding safety of guests-poor quality/tasting food-Pungent smell of mildew/moth balls throughout restaurant-filthy bathroom-dirty/sticky condiment bottles & salt/pepper shakersPros-friendly waiter-no wait time for it being Saturday morningExplanation (if it’s still needed after you read about rat poop & smell):First, I read the reviews before we stopped here & I’m shocked at how many good reviews there are after what we witnessed & even more shocked at the A rating that’s visible when you walk in.As soon as you walk in the smell is overwhelming. Yes, we still stayed because we were not going to have time to look for a different place before our appointment & we figured how much worse can it get. We were seated right away at a corner booth towards the back. The food was bad, so the only one im going to detail is the stuffed french toast that was exceptionally bad. The only two bites i took were filled with old tasting grease, like they deep fried it in old oil. When we got up to leave, we turned back to see if we left anything behind & that’s when we spotted the rodent droppings on top of the booth (pictured). At the register we asked to speak to the manager, she called someone by the name of Kim over. We had just walked by this man who was working on a laptop with some paperwork. My husband let him know about the rat poop, but the “manager” didn’t even flinch & with no concern or eye contact proceeded to simply say that pest control has been on it & there was nothing that they could do. As he finished processing payment he did hand us a stamp card, im guessing for future visits, but no apologies or discounts were given. We spent over $80 (not including tip) for 2 adults & 1 kid.Worst breakfast spot we’ve ever been to.

2023-09-23 19:36:47Walked in here and as soon as you open the door there is an unbelievable stench. I asked what that smell was and the woman at the stand had a mask on so she couldnt smell anything. She asked another customer who was also waiting in front of me if he smelled anything and he said yes. She goes behind the counter and asks someone there if they smell anything as shes coming to hand me the menu but the stench is so unbelievably strong I just say its okay Im leaving, and she seems bothered instead of actually trying to remedy the situation for customers. Her job was to take off the stupid mask, smell where the hell that disgusting stench is coming from and fix it. Youre running a restaurant for crying out loud. Gross. Dont come here!

2023-08-13 00:12:14I saw another review, and I think they summed it up best. A perfectly acceptable place to have breakfast with the family. Food was meh. Those plastic- like American cheese slices on your omlette instead of real cheese - thats a first for me. Not to be mean, but Dennys would have been a better choice.
