Cute Restaurant. The atmosphere was very nice. It was busy but the service was pretty good. The owner is a great guy. I forgot his name, but he was out there along with all his employees helping out. He was very nice. I had an issue with my cauliflower order and he was kind enough to take it back and remake it. I figured it just was not up to my standard. But Im sure others will like it. I recommended how I would normally make my cauliflower steak and he took my recommendation. He said he would try it out. Most people dont like criticism, but he handled it very well. I dont have anything negative to say about this restaurant. I highly recommend it to anyone.They have bottomless mimosas but I believe its not on weekends. It cost $20. Thats a great price. The mimosas were pretty tasty even though we didnt order the bottomless mimosas.The walls to the front of the restaurant are open so its almost like you have indoor outdoor seating. Its not cold inside, so ladies you will be fine. They do have a bar that you can sit at as well. I cannot say more, but you just have to check it out yourself.The owner said that he has a restaurant coming soon. I believe in Santa Monica and Las Vegas. So stay tuned. I cant wait because I live in Las Vegas.
We accept the brunch we think we deserve and Nighthawk sure knows how to serve a punch!Despite the pandemic, the restaurant was able to expand onto the sidewalk with various 2- and 4-tops to accommodate varying party sizes. Yelp reservations are strongly recommended if not required to secure your spot here!We started off with their famed Spiked Cereal Milk which had Cocoa Puffs and vanilla vodka and the Holla-peño which my friend subbed with mezcal for no additional cost. Both drinks were $14 and while I appreciated the thought of spiked cereal milk, I found that the vodka was very overpowering and left much to be desired. Hard pass on this one. The holla-peño, however, received positive feedback so I will vouch for this one.I love sweets for breakfast so the Drunken French Toast for $16 was definitely the first thing that came to mind when perusing this money. And boy, was it worth it! The French toast is broken up into shareable square pieces topped with the most delicious mascarpone mousse, brandy-soaked pear bits and pieces, confectionery sugar, and all the syrup that your heart desires. Be warned, you will NOT want to share this after having the first bite!My friend ordered the Pass-tor Tacos and thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, it’s a bit overpriced for tacos but what they lacked in value they made up for in quantity and taste. Good thing they came with two tortillas per taco to make it easier to consume! Hot sauce is available at no additional cost upon request.The service here was great and I am so glad I was able to try this place out. There are so many other amazing options on this menu so I know this will not be the last time I visit!
Delicious minced ceviche. Didn’t taste like a normal high citrus ceviche, but yummy nonetheless (and importantly, the chips were very good too).Power bowl was also solid!Drinks can be a little on the sweet side.
Food was interesting and decent. The drink was alright, exactly what you’d expect Cinnamon Toast Crunch in milk to taste like. Benedict fries could have had more flavor and wasn’t a fan of the clear part of the egg. French toast was good. Not pictured was chicken and biscuits. That was decent as well. Again, could have had a little more flavor. 4/5
Food is very well prepared and wait staff is very attentive. Went for brunch after reading reviews and was not disappointed. Had the chicken and biscuits along with pancake side and breakfast burger. Everything was awesome. Coffee was fresh and good not great but not burnt or stale. OJ was of good quality with a full bar.
Hands down to this place.. its located three blocks down from the Venice beach. The ambiance is soothing fun place to be at.. southern cuisine with a twist of American. I was extremely content with my food and drinks.. Definitely coming back.

Breakfast themed bar and restaurant. Came here on a Wednesday for happy hour and totally forgot that I had a blood test the next day, so I unfortunately could not partake in libations. However, the food is tasty and from the other time I had been here, I remembered liking the spiked cereal milk. Got an order of the loaded tots and a shrimp taco (both off the HH menu). The loaded tots are super heavy and come with a ton of cheese. The shrimp taco had a good kick, though I did wish there was a bit more shrimp.Street parking is available and there was some neighborhood parking as well. Credit cards are accepted. Indoor dining but they have the windows open so it’s kind of an outdoor feel. At night, it’s a cool vibe with a lot of neon lights and they still serve breakfast bites. The staff was friendly and checked in on us fairly often.
I dont know how I havent discovered this place sooner. I have for sure been missing out the past few years. This isnt your traditional dinner joint and the menu consists of late night breakfast foods. The quality is amazing and the inside is pretty cute as well.Service was very good and we were checked on numerous times throughout our dining experience. They are known for their spiked breakfast drinks and it was so good. The breakfast sandwich was on point, however, it doesnt comes with any sides so it is a bit expensive in that sense. I cant remember the price but I was to say the breakfast sandwich was about $15 for just the burger. Regardless quality was on point.
Nighthawk Breakfast Bar hands down has some of the best Breakfast Food around town. From the Shrimp & Grits with polenta, and andouille sausage, to the Fried Chicken & Sweet Potato Pancakes... and many more delicious items. Cool vibe, great service, good music(hip/hop & Rnb), and close to the beach! Definitely a must to add to your bucket list.

I had the tacos, and they were good. My wife had the burger and she really liked it. They found a table for us pretty promptly. The waitress couldve been a little more attentive since I never was asked if I needed any refills .
Nighthawk is an amazing bar just next to Venice Beach.Came here at happy hour in the afternoon and was super busy.This is called a breakfast bar but there are also some lunch options over here.Very playful dishes here with unique ingredient combinations. It was super tasty!

So expect to spend about $35 per person ish.This is a fun place to go if youre a fan of breakfast foods.

If youre looking for some good eats near Venice Beach, then Nighthawk is definitely the place to go!! From breakfast to late night munchies, Nighthawk has great food for any mood. In addition to the good food, the music created a whole feel good vibe. The hospitality/service was also amazing. The staff were super friendly and accomodating. The restaurant was kept very clean too.
Im telling you, one of the best breakfasts Ive had in my life! The chicken and pancakes is the perfect about of salty and sweet! And the bacon on the breakfast burger! It was just the right amount if sweet and salty with a hint of spicy! On Fridays you can also get bottomless mimosas! Love this place!

Stopped by nighthawk with some friends for what we planned to just be beverages but after looking at the menu I couldn’t stop myself. I just ordered a beer while my friend ordered a coffee cocktail which was reported to be dangerously delicious as well as a spicy margarita which was also well received. But I got the fried chicken croissant sandwich and by god that thing was massive. Loaded with a huge piece of chicken and a ton of bacon I can happily say the second half was enjoyed every following day. Also, just a shoutout to the wait staff who were kind enough to step out when we were standing outside to let us know the kitchen was closing soon instead of just saying ‘too bad’ if we came in too late. Thank you guys!
Wish I could rate this higher, because the boozy cereal and coffee drinks were fantastic! However the chicken and pancakes and the gravy chicken biscuits were meh, teetering the line between not eating the rest of it and telling staff. Next time, we’re sticking to the breakfast sandwiches and the drinks.

Very chill vibes, dim lighting and classic sing along R&B songs. I didn’t need anything else. But we tried the drunken French toast. It’s not your traditional French toast. It’s cubed brioche bread with Rice Krispies. It was hearty and eating everything together was very tasty. The bigbird & shortstack was good. Well seasoned chicken and fried perfectly. The sweet potato pancakes were well done as well. The food had flavor which we really appreciated.
A FANTASTIC place for brunch! We actually ended up there for their daily happy hour special which is a great deal! Food was just the perfect amount of unique mixed with classic breakfast dishes. We were big fans of the Tropical Mimosa and the French toast. Their playlist was also fire!!
I really like the Nighthawk it’s a cool breakfast bar that has unique food items and fun drinks as well. They have great customer service staff is very friendly and the food is super delicious. I got a sweet potato pancake and fried chicken breast and my drink was a spike cinnamon toast crunch drink and it was so good. It really tastes like Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. Finding parking around the area is hard. Nighthawk has valet or you can try to find metered parking that’s the only issue but most of the restaurants in LA are hard to find parking . I didn’t valet my car I was lucky and I found a meter parking also the restaurant is small so it’s best to make reservations. I’m happy with my first time experience eating at the Nighthawk the food is delicious,drinks are amazing, great customer service this place gets a five star.

Everything our group had was great. The cold brew and jam cocktails were tasty, and all of our entrees were in point. I got the Bao Biscuits which I highly recommend if you like some spice.
Most definitely not just a brunch place. Friday all day is happy hour. Pounced at the chance of some Chorizo Cheese fries and was not disappointed. Very flavorful and the fries were crisp. Decided to do polar opposites with my date I ordered the bacon carbonara and her the boozy French toast. Ate half then switched plates. The Carbonara is delicious and the mustard seeds add an effect Ive havent tasted in a similarly high dollar carbonara. The french toast go without saying. The brioche was crisp, soft. Definitely would recommend to come here with friends so you can say them brainstorm their choice. Is it breakfast or dinner that they pick?Also sorry the place had dim lighting and was not going to use flash.
When ordering takeaway food, the restaurant does not inform the customer that half of the menu Cant be cooked. At the same time, the restaurant does not consider it necessary to notify customers, and customers will learn about it from couriers who only have to pick up and bring the order
Recently visited Nighthawk BB during a trip to Marina Del Rey. What a mistake that was. Since I was traveling alone, I took a seat at the bar. The person working the bar was cold as ice. Considering I was one of only two patrons in the whole restaurant I thought she might be a little more engaging. Every time I asked a question about the food or menu, she acted as if I was inconveniencing her. I promise Ill never do it again. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because the food was decent.
Delicious food and complex menu with hair of the dog specials to keep the previous nights beach party going. The jalapeno candied bacon was so delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The only downfall is the price. 2 coffees and 2 breakfast (small) plates ran us about 50$ after tip. And we didnt even have any morning cocktails!!! Not my idea of breakfast or even brunch pricing.

This place is terrible. Standing here on Saturday morning and its closed even though it says its open online. I live nearby and this happens all the time, it sucks and I hate this place.
Arrived right at opening on Fourth of July and had no wait. Sat at the bar and enjoyed my tang mimosa. Ordered the chicken and biscuits and was blown away. The biscuits were some of the best I’ve had. Light and flavorful with the most unique texture I’ve had in a biscuit. Chicken fried perfectly and the sausage gray was on point.
I had a great experience with the staff very friendly. Very spacious seating. The drunken French toast was delicious good portion size too. Spiked milk is stronger than I thought I couldnt taste the alchohol which is a plus. You will not be disappointed eating here.

Very cool vibe! This place was near our hotel and the menu looked awesome. We saved our visit for our last night of our vacation, luckily during happy hour! We ordered our drinks and appetizer from that menu. We had the “Liquid Gushers” and “Blue Cow” (mixed drinks) and shared loaded tots. I had the Three Amigos (quesadilla slices & huevos rancheros) and it was AMAZING. Definitely recommend! It’s not far from Venice Beach and if you love breakfast food, you’ll love this place.
Great boozy brunch spot, but definitely make reservations for busy Saturday and Sundays.Spiked cereal drinks are a for sure needed beverage, nicely balanced alcohol with milky sweetness.Gravy and biscuits is good balance but definitely heavy so come with an appetite.Service is great all around from hostess to servers. I made a last minute reservation for 7 people and they were nice enough to accommodate me and called me back to confirm.Would definitely return and stay even longer if possible.
Fantastic breakfast for dinner place. I just got the drinks and that is enough for me! Cocoa puff old fashioned, cinnamon toast crunch milk and rum, and peanut butter crunch milk with rum. All of them... ferocious!

The food was good, however, overpriced. The place was shockingly cold inside. Staff was pleasant and let us move to a different table away from the door, but we all still kept our jackets on the entire time. The drinks were tasty but not very strong at $16 for a drink I expect to at least be able to taste the liquor.
Nighthawk is a really cool spot. We came here around 9 on a Friday night. The spot wasnt crowded so we were able to sit right away. The vibe here is great. They play good music and its dimly lit but not too dark. They also have a couple of TVs above the bar if you want to watch the games.The food here was pretty good as well. I had the Big Bird & Shortstack (Fried chicken & Sweet potato pancakes w/ gojuchang butter).The thing I appreciate about this spot is their unique twist to simple dishes. My favorite thing had to be the spiked cereal milk though. I had Cocoa Puffs w/ rum. Crazy good. I wanted to get another but I had to drive that night. Ill definitely be coming back to this late night spot again.

Laid back 90’s vibe kind of feel on a Thursday afternoon, which I loved! Our waiter was neutral.. not friendly, but not rude. Had the cereal milk drink which was tasty and the Everything Hash! It was vegetarian and very good! My only complaint is that the description stated it came with potatoes and I found probably 5 small diced potatoes in my meal. Other than that, very good!

This place is very unassuming. I passed it a couple of times. So glad a friend recommended it! The menu is full of so many tasty dishes. I cant wait to go back. The drink menu had some interesting names that incorporated various breakfast cereals. Definitely plan on trying Peanut Butter Capn crunch & Bourbon. The bottomless Tang Mimosas was my choice that day along with Power-up Bowl. The chorizo chili had the perfect blend of spices, the leafy greens and ontop with an egg completed the dish!
Ive been to this location twice and the food is so good, and the atmosphere was great I enjoyed the music while I was eating and the customer service was great, I definitely plan to make this a regular spot.
I dont understand why this place was not busier on a Saturday evening, but Im glad that it wasnt super busy either. The entire staff is so welcoming and have amazing customer service. The food and drinks are so delicious!There were 5 of us and we were seated by the front door with the windows wide open so it seemed like we were seated on the patio. They have a happy hour food and drink menu that is EVERYDAY from 3-7p and all day on Friday.I decided to order one of each of their sliders because, why not? They were so good but I really liked the fried chicken slider. We also ordered calamari, which was cooked perfectly. For dessert, we ordered fried oreos and dough bites. Dough bites were good, but the fried oreos were awesome!!

Paolo is an absolute sweetheart, make sure to say hi!!The hot Cheeto chicken fingers are amazingly juicy, but somehow perfectly crispy. The flavor cannot be accurately described beyond stating that they are the most amazing chicken tenders that Ive ever had. The candied bacon, chicken and biscuits, pulled pork sliders.... Somehow each bite of each dish was better than the last and it kept getting even better.Washing all of this down with a peanut butter crunch cocktail was just a fantastic end to the meal. Bring enough friends with you, as the portion sizes are twice as large as what you think youre going to get. Cannot wait to come back here!
I came here mainly for the cocktails (Hello cereal milk!) and wasnt feeling crazy on the food menu, but wOw I was wrong. Everything our group got was delicious! I got the power bowl and it was fantastic. I wanted to try the french toast but it sounded like sweetness overkill. My friend got it and the flavors were very well balanced. I would definitely order that next time.Aside from the great food and creative cocktails, the decor and ambiance are spot on! Im kinda bummed I left without a shirt - guess Ill have to come back!

Visited right as things were opening up again on a Friday night, so it was pretty crowded and short-staffed. It took us 45min for our party of 2 to get seated, although the waitress (who was doing everything) was very apologetic. We ordered mostly cocktails (the cereal one is 💣!) and a side of calamari rings. Food was good. Music was 90s hip hop, also good.

This place does breakfast all day and does it damn well. They change up the menu periodically, but it remains great. They do a great job of taking popular breakfasts and really putting their own spin on them. Theres a rely good palate behind the menu. I love taking friends here and being able to try what they order, too. Most of the dishes that have appealed less to me end up being way more delicious than I wouldve expected.My only complaint is that a lot of the dishes are about 1/3 too big for my stomach, but they are so delicious its hard to stop eating them.Also, full bar and really good house cocktails. Some sound pretty contrived, but they are actually quite tasty (e.g. cocoa-puff infused old fashioned, spiked cereal milk, etc.)Service is nearly always solid as well!

Quieter atmosphere, although there is a DJ on Saturday nights until close. Didnt really see many people there for the DJ though. Specialty cocktails were good and expensive like most other places in the area.
Food was great. I had the pastor the tacos plate and it was delicious (not cheap but good value). My friend a breakfast sandwich and it was also good and the candied bacon cocktail which was not strong on alcohol and had a very bold taste.The music was too loud for our taste, hence the 4 stars!

Such a unique place. If you like bars and you like breakfast, this is the spot for you. They do a great job of using breakfast food as the inspiration for their menu (and their drinks). We visited twice during our trip to LA and had a great time both visits. The dinner was delicious and the dishes had large portions. The drinks were really fun, although the breakfast drinks were so rich you really could only have one. The regular beer and liquor list is pretty extensive though so I was able to switch to something else after. The service was fantastic and the staff were really friendly. The bartender took time to chat with us about how they make the cereal milk and some of the unique menu items. We did not have a wait either time we visited.
The place was nice inside, and the drinks were delicious. I realized a little too late that it is more of a place that you go to after drinking copious amounts of alcohol...something to try and soak it up. I had the chicken and biscuits and I really liked it at first, but about halfway through the meal it just got daunting eating it. It started tasting dry and just the same bite over and over again. It needed a small salad or something fresh on the side to take the edge off of the heavy meal.
Pretty good will go again. Next time for sure Im getting the drunken French toast!

The ceviche is incredible and the house-made chips made it even better. And the bloody mary with bacon was really good, too. The nachos, though - misfire! They are HUGE, but lots of store bought chips, under layers not layered with much of the good stuff, and the overall flavor was just ok. Tolerable. Thankfully, I ordered the ceviche and left very happy. My friend was simply full and left lots of nachos behind.

Food was delicious! I had the French toast and my friend had the chicken biscuit with gravy. I ate most of his and all of mines. LOL.Updated reviewI must had really been hungry last time I went there. I went today, 1/1/2020, and ordered the chicken & biscuit. The taste was not the same. This time thechicken breast was very thin with no seasoning and the gravy didnt taste good at all. Maybe it was a different cook.I called in my order at 1:45.I drove across town to pick it up. I was told that it would be ready in 15 to 20 minutes when I placed the order over the phone. I got there in 20 minutes and ended up having to wait almost 20 more mins for my food.I believe they do not cook your order until you arrive. Which is fine, just inform the customer of that.
Had the drunken French toast and a candied bacon bloody mary. Both were great. Very campy menu. Jason was an amazing waiter. He was pleasant and accommodating. I would definitely go there again.
I ordered the chicken and waffles for lunch. It was very good! I also washed it down with a good beer. I rated it four stars because, the service was okay. There were a few moments our table was waiting awhile for another beer order. It wasnt very busy while we were dinning so, I hope the waitresses can be a bit more attentive. Id reccomend trying it if, youre in the venice area.
Good food and good drinks. My scotch egg (in the Pigs nest) was overcooked, but we went on memorial day so staffing was probably low. At least they were open! The manager was super nice and our other food and drinks were really good. Chorizo street tacos were good as expected and so were the Benedict fries. Def try the fries.
This place was awesome. We walked in on a Saturday for brunch (it was 1pm though) and got a table almost immediately even though the place was busy. The drink menu is bigger than the food menu which is always a good thing, they have caffeinated cocktails and the mimosas were excellent. It got better when the food arrived. A perfect brunch spot to get over a hangover.
Its a vibe...Great food and they are about to put Shrimp and Grits on the menu. I do wish they offered bottomless but its all good. The music is Hip Hop new and Old School unedited...I love that the owner is Hip and Cool an unapoligecally who he is. THE FOOD IS SEASONED TO PERFECTION.
AMAZING!! This place not only had spiked Vietnamese coffee but ALL the entrees I tried blew me away. I thought San Diego had the best tasting breakfast. I would book another vacation and eat here again.
Stopped by for breakfast and got the Chicken and Biscuits...OMG! The flavors coming out of this place take me right back to growing up in the south. The atmosphere is nice and hip, the service is fantastic and you can actually taste the love put into their dishes!
Came here while on a small vacation. The nachos were amazing, my boyfriend and I got them with pork added, and we had such a hard time holding back from finishing them so we had room for our food. I got the All the breakfast burger which was amazing, the candied bacon was so good my boyfriend kept trying to steal it off of my burger. He got the three amigos which was super good, definitely enough that if you go here for lunch you probably wont need dinner. Will definitely go back if Im ever in the LA area again.

Do not get the cereal milk cocktails. Seriously. Milk mixed with alcohol just makes it taste spoiled. So disgusting. I had to choke it down. Anyway, the food portions are also really small. Me and my friend ended up having to order 2 entrees each which looked ridiculous. But I guess they are LA sized? Because here in the Bay, you can get 3x as much food for much cheaper and better quality. However, the food was good I have to say. My tiny portion of biscuits and gravy was my favorite thing I ate in LA.
Best brunch spot in Venice/Marina Del Ray, no question! Its hard to only order one dish as they all sound, look and smell amazing. You cant go wrong with any choice you make. Coffee, espresso and cocktails are on point. Def worth the trip, whether its across town or from out of state!

The staff, management, and entire team keep the coffee hot, fresh and flowing. The menu contains a variety of cocktails for your drinking pleasure. Reservations are recommended in advance via yelp if possible as the popularity and location of this spot just minutes away from the Venice Boardwalk could mean long wait times. Well over 30 minutes.Fourth Star: Is the product/service satisfactory? Yes. The menu is a long read, but after you look through the veil of fusion items and tongue in cheeks names its brunch. The food is adequate and the experience of getting some of their more unusual mixes (both in food and drinks) was interesting.Fifth star: Is the price acceptable? No. The hike in price isnt worth it for what amounts to typical brunch.

Overall I love the vibe of the place, good lighting, some nice ambient trip-hop is always playing. Good beers selection. Some times staff can be a bit pushy and keep asking you to order more stuff all the time in a slightly annoying manner.
Pretty cool place! Came for late Sunday brunch. About a 30 min wait which was fine for us. Had the breakfast lobster roll and the spiked Vietnamese coffee. They were both pretty good but one experience here is enough. Service was great for how busy it was so that’s a bonus. 8/10.
I wouldn’t suggest this place. It’s a decent vibe, but that’s all it is. The restaurant next door has better prices and better service. They are inflexible with dietary restrictions. Absolutely no exceptions. As long as you’re willing to leave off half the dish, due to food allergies, but still pay for it, then you’ll fit right into this establishment. I just believe in better customer service and accommodations than that. I didn’t choose my allergies, but I’d still like to have a proper meal, especially when it’s a simple request of “can I have a different protein besides egg because I’m allergic.” Most of their dishes have dairy, egg, or avocado, because who doesn’t love those, right? Well, unfortunately, some people are allergic to all three.
Very interesting cocktails and fun brunch menu. I really liked the tator tots and bacon app. Also didnt hurt that they had a booze-y Vietnamese coffee that is dairy free (a rare and delightful find for someone like me who is dairy allergic).
Good food, great drinks! We arrived at 10a and were so disappointed to see ALL the tables in the restaurant reserved for brunch! Be sure to make a reservation on the weekend! But Nighthawk hostess was kind enough to let us sit at a table until the 11:30a reservation where we made a move to their bar to keep drinking those creative cocktails!
It was my first time here. The chicken and biscuits were really good, it had a kick to them. if youre looking for a sharing item for the table, order the benedict fries. I dont recommend the ice coffee it didnt have a lot of flavor and was 6.00 for a small glass
The service was great and the staff we very attentive to needs of the customers. My only complaint would be that the noise level is a bit too loud from the seating inside the restaurant being too close together and the volume of the music that was playing. It sucks that you have to pay extra for fries when ordering a burger or sandwich. There is also only one stall available when using the restroom which can be annoying when this eatery is busy, especially on weekends.
Ive had nothing but great food, liquor and service experiences here. I make every excuse possible to get to that side of town so I can have brunch there. Fridays are the best! I cant wait for them to reopen for sidewalk and dine in again. If you can have it delivered you wont regret it.
Great breakfast and not-so-breakfast menu with delicious options for everyone, and at any time of the day! These are not your regular breakfast options, each dish has a neat twist that will not disappoint. They have plenty of different cocktails, and a great staff.
2 Star Customer Service, but giving them a break because of Covid: We called ahead to try to get a reservation or put our name down, but we were told they were not taking reservations during this time. We came in on Sunday at 12:55p to put our name down and they said it would be a 35 minute wait. We came back 35 minutes later and they said we would be seated shortly. 20 minutes passed & still nothing. We checked back in to see if we were going to be seated and they said we were next to be seated & they were just waiting for the next table to be cleared. The table was cleared and they sat a different group. We were thrown off because the girl had just clearly told us we would be next, but we just patiently waited because another table looked to be wrapping up as well. At this point it had been 1 hour since we checked in & they told us it would be 35 minutes. The other table cleared and then they sat ANOTHER DIFFERENT COUPLE! I went back in to politely ask the host what had happened and if we would be seated next. She told me that those people had a reservation and we would be next.... earlier when we called they said they werent taking reservations during this time??? So either she lied to me then or they lied to us earlier. At no point did she ever apologize for the wait or try to make us feel better that she kept lying to our face. I get that running a restaurant during Covid is super difficult and unpredictable, but I definitely expect WAY better customer service than that. After 1 hr and 15 minutes of waiting, we were finally seated.We got a Bloody Mary & Tropical Mimosa to drink. Both were very enjoyable. The nachos are MASSIVE! Definitely wayy too big for 1 person, so I recommend getting them to share for a group. The eggs Benedict fries were different and good. The everything hash was a really interesting mixture. I didnt care for the tofu bacon it tasted like vinegar and was an odd flavor to have in the bowl. The menu is really unique and they have Happy Hour 3-7p Daily and All Day Friday.COVID notes: required face masks to enter, workers were wearing face masks (note not all of them had it covering their nose), temperature checks before you were seated, hand sanitizer on the tables, some tables were inside with windows/doors open, some tables were put outside on the sidewalk. They were definitely trying to make the most of their space since they couldnt take full advantage of their indoor space, but kind of a weird vibe to be seated on the sidewalk because people legit walk right through that space to pass by.

Came for Saturday brunch and everything went well! We had to wait for about 25 mins as it was pretty busy but it was worth it. Tres Amigos and pancakes with chicken and maple syrup were delicious. Given the popularity of the spot servers were fairly quick and so was the kitchen. Definitely recommend. They also have valet for parking.

However, they may turn away walk-in groups of 5 or more, can accommodate if you call ahead. Open air seating and comfortable music makes it energetic and fun.I would suggest this restaurant.

Confusing service but the food is so good we overcame it. The French toast and candied bacon are the best pair. Make sure to ask for bacon that’s not burnt, you’ll be much happier.
This place came recommended by a few people but we were very disappointed. Eggs Benedict with scrambled eggs? Really? Greasy lobster roll? Why? I ordered a bloody mary and it said it was spicy on the menu but it was too hot to drink. Now, granted, I am a gringa, but I can down some serious salsa at authentic Mexican restaurants and cook with heat regularly. It was brutally hot. I ended up picking the lobster pieces (mostly the chewier parts of the claw meat) out of the greasy roll (which also had scrambled eggs in it-why?) while my wife picked at her Benedict. The best part of the meal were the completely unaltered tater tots.Dont waste your money.
The food was awesome Lance was also great with him not being our server he made sure we didnt need anything. With this being a breakfast bar how are you not offering eggs as a side unless your meal already comes with them🤔?

My first time going to the Breakfast Bar was great. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff was friendly.The food and spiked milk was amazing. I highly recommend this establishment to friends and family. However, I did not like that the meals could not be alter and only ordered as is.
*DURING COVID-19 POST*I visited during MLK weekend 2021 and ordered the country fried shrimp and the All The Breakfast Burger (pictured here). It tasted amazing and I love their in house Bloody Mary ketchup yum!
They seated us in the back right next to the dumpsters so, the smell of trash lingered through the entire meal. Overpriced small bites and a 10 dollar watered down mimosa. Go to Island Burger right across the street for half the price of this food and stronger drinks.
Tried to eat at this place with a friend for brunch on a weekday. They had many empty tables and we asked to sit at one by the window, but the host told us that if its just us then wed have to sit at a 2 person table further inside. We asked if we could sit at the other table because we wanted to sit by the window, and the host grumpily said its fine. We sat down and he went to clear the table but was slamming things around and seemed angry that we were sitting there. We ended up just walking out before ordering anything because we felt unwelcome. If the table choice was that big of a deal then he shouldnt have agreed to let us sit there... We werent insistent, we just asked if it was ok. I unfortunately cant speak about the food, the menu looked good, but the initial service was so poor that we couldnt experience it.
So, this is our second time visiting Nighthawk Breakfast Bar. We don’t live in the area, actually 1.5 hours away. There is no place better for a unique spin on breakfast. I’m so over the omelette have it your way kinda meal! Lance the manager is a gem, pleasant, polite and attentive...The bartender made me the “Grow a Pear” cocktail in a little champagne coup that was perfectly chilled and not too sweet! We had the BigBird and Short Stack! + a side of candied bacon...Okay, so I guess what I am trying to say is make sure if you are in the area, plan a visit!
The drunk French toast is fantastic, it’s very sweet tho so make sure you’re sharing it and pairing with a more savory entree so the sweetness doesn’t overwhelm you
Came here for daughters bday Loved my chicken and pancakes. She had pancakes and a sausage patty. Yummy. Water tastes crisp and refreshing as well. Lovely spot.
This place really impressed me with their flavors. I got the everything hash, it was so delicious and like nothing I’ve had before. The tofu bacon was perfect and the everything spiced brussel sprouts was amazing. I’ll have to come back for their late night hh.
Cute place visually. I had the chorizo tacos which lacked flavor. They were around $12 for 3 hand size tacos and nothing else. Way over priced for the amount of food and lack of flavor. There is also a lack of parking. Not going back and wouldnt recommend it.
The food is beyond delicious and moderately priced. I had salmon with ponzu sauce that was perfection. The waitress and owner couldnt have been nicer. We will go back again and again!
Very tasty cocktails with great flavor pairings and the food is breakfast for dinner! The menu is a good size but not so large youll be paralyzed by choices. I had the purple haze which had some duck confit, purple potatoes, peppadew relish and other deliciousness I cant remember at the moment. The biscuits and gravy are delicious and the portion is HUGE, and the banh mi bowl, while not my favorite (the purple haze was my favorite) was hardy, and well balanced. I dont think you can go wrong with anything on the menu, and Ill be back to have the cereal milk cocktails, particularly the cinnamon toast crunch and rum one!

FYI for everyone: the business hours of this place are now only Tue - Sun from 10-3.Which means that their happy hour (which was incredible) is no longer in play. Sad!PLEASE update your hours online and on yelp etc. so people don’t show up here and just see a paper sign on the door (like what happened to me). Sad!
Awesome brunch spot with a really unique menu. Recommend making reservations for the weekend and holidays. We found a spot at the breakfast bar right when they opened on memorial day, but it was packed the entire time we were there. Food was awesome, drinks were awesome, and the service was great

Or maybe its because they dont offer a bottomless mimosa option. Which would probably be super dangerous. But also... the best idea ever.We all tried to get different things so that way we can sample from everyones order. OH MAN.Benedict Fries- yumBanh Mi Bowl - was okay. I wouldnt get again. It felt like something was missing but I just cant figure it out.All the Breakfast Burger- YES YES YES. I could not stop thinking about this burger afterwards.Chicken and Biscuits- YES. This one surprised me.Drunken French Toast - No.. It was weird. I kept trying to force myself to help finish eating. I was not happy with it.Maple Espresso Sticky Bun- YESSSSSSS. Awesome place to be. Very trendy, great unusual menu and all are very good. The only drawback, its tiny and the noise is overwhelming, but hey, if youve already busted your eardrums anyway by constantly listening to extremely loud music, then the loud noise is probably music to your ears. The menu is not large but all mouthwatering youll find yourself drooling just reading the descriptions. A fair warning though, its pretty pricey! Biscuit Bao is one of my favorites, braised fried pork belly, aged cheddar & chives biscuit with caramelized onion, gochujang & maple syrup sambal glaze. Did I make you drool yet? Oh, and dont forget, you got to try maple-espresso sticky bun serve with rum caramel, vanilla bean ice cream with toasted pecans...to die for! Thats it, Im going back there now, break the bank and eat everything on the menu!

We came in excited about night time breakfast because we were staying accross the street. We came in, no hello just a hand motion for us to follow the guy and a point to sit. Never speaking a single word. They dont just have plain cakes or you cant order just pancakes without chicken. I asked the waitress can we just get cakes. She looked annoyed and said we just have whats on the menu and thats it. I asked her if the french toast was over the top sweet, again she looked annoyed and said its french toast i mean..... so we just left. The menu looked interesting but noone wanted to talk about it or give us options. Its, this is what we have, dont ask questions the menu explains itself...obviously, eye roll. Customer service is everything. My husband and I both own our own businesses and we TEACH the importance of the 1st person and last person seen by a customer has the most impact on the over all opinion of the facility. We are SO THANKFUL that we did not ask our clients to meet us here. Cute place, cute idea, but unfortunately we never got passed the horrible customer service. My memory of this place is the rude mute bald black guy and the annoyed short hair ash blonde waitress who wanted us not to speak to her. Its 9pm wed the 19th and we are outta here! Bye felicia!I changed my rating to 3 stars because the owner responded and Im absolutely sure that this issue will be addressed. I hate giving low stars to such innovative places where you can tell by design how much work the creator put into it. 3 stars. For the idea,the atmosphere, for breakfast at night and for an owner who pays close attention to their customer concerns. When i come back next month, we will try this place again.
My buddy and I had high hopes for Nighthawk and we left disappointed. We came for the Scotch egg, but they took it off the menu and the server was very rude when we asked about it.Also, the place is huge and only 6 tables were full on a Saturday evening around 9pm.Their drink menu is large, but our drinks were not the best. In fact, they were the most expensive cocktails we had in LA and the worst.I wouldnt go back...unless they bring back the Scotch eggs.
What a great concept, a breakfast inspired restaurant with breakfast inspired cocktails. I can honestly say that I have had the best bacon I have ever had in life, candied tapatío bacon. This spot is pretty cool.

Fun brunch spot near the beach w/ an accomdating crew/staff, owners and managers. Go for the experience and fall in love with everything especially the food and drinks. Super Bowl, Grow a Pear, Mimosa, Cocoa Fusion and Everything Hash are what Im all about.
I checked this restaurant out a few months ago along with some acquaintances who were visiting from New Jersey. The wait time for a table wasnt too bad, the meal I ate was delicious, and the overall service was fantastic. I look forward to returning in the near future.
We saw this place while walking to the boardwalk and stopped in for the bottomless Mimosas. The service was not great. I really wanted to like the place, but service is a big deal to me especially while vacationing. The music was GREAT though.

The ambiance and music and the food (damn the food is delicious) and the drinks (youll want to try them all) all of it works.For its first opening night (160115) - it was crowded but still enjoyable. Everyone in there seemed to be having a jolly time / with the live music playing and people just enjoying each others company.Youll be greeted by friendly waiters/waitresses but if youre lucky youll meet Patrick the GM -- hes really chill and will definitely take care of you and get you seated in a timely manner.Our waitress Monika --- AWESOME!! Got our orders and was there to take care of us the whole evening.The food -Drunken French Toast - moist and delicious; get it if youre in need of something on the sweet sideBenedict Fries - oh damn, this was perfect in itself. It tasted like a pepperoni cheese pizza with fries and topped with a fried egg--the perfection!Tower OBacon with a side of beer - candied bacon that hits both your savory and sweet palates at the same time & paired with a beer to make it oh so fancy.Chicken & Biscuits- oh damn the chefs in the back cooking this novelty item at Nighthawk. This was delicious as well and you could tell as we scraped every single piece of chicken / biscuit / gravy down our hatch to savor the yumminess that it is.Onto the booze!!!Their specialty is definitely the #SpikedCerealMilk - drinking two of these baddies is just so decadent. I was able to get the Cocao - Brandy masterpiece and drank it like a happy kid who was given their favorite candy. Slurp slurp slurp -- got seconds and was about to try the Fruity - Gin concoction but the waitress sadly said they had sold out. (This just means Im coming back again)Next tried their #JuliusMaximus drinks and got The OG and it was amazing --- smoothie with alcohol that is reminiscent of breakfast for champions lolThen ended the evening with a duo taste of Irish Coffee and the Oaxacan Coffee both having a distinctive taste that are perfect for coffee drinkers that like a little kick to their coffees.To end my rant - this place deserves all the hype its going to get from today onwards. A bar that highlights breakfast as its mainstay theme is just wonderful. I will definitely be returning here to try the rest of the #spikedcerealmilk and get seconds on the food.

Whats better than drinking at night? Boozin AND breakfast together!This hip bar is themed around the most important meal of the day: breakfast, but adds alcohol into the mix. Their drink specialties are traditional items like milk, juice, and coffee, but spiked with the judgment-inhibiting liquid courage we need to have fun in the city. They also have several breakfast items, to fill that hangover preventing craving that may hit you past 10 P.M.My friends and I sampled a variety of drinks and the breakfast tacos. I had the mint fernet float, which had Mexican coke, a scoop of mint chip ice cream, and a shot of mint fernet. It was sweet, light and refreshing, but I could barely taste any alcohol. I also tried a bit of the OG which was a orange juice/gin milkshake, refreshing but also light on the booze. Lastly my friend had the Oaxacan Coffee which had a little Irish Coffee liqueur but also a cinnamon stick- he said it was good and it had a nice aroma. The tacos were good but small, I liked the cilantro, pork belly, eggs and avocado.Next time Ill the milk (when I have lactaid), which mixes shots with dairy in those traditional bottles. For a breakfast lover and one who appreciates alcohol, this place did a solid job combining both worlds!

Great food I was worried about the portion sizes but they give you a good amount well worth a trip to Venice.
Nice menu of asian fusion-type food. Cocktails are decent. Vietnamese coffee cocktail was the better of the coffee drinks.
Super noisy. Music so loud you have to shout to converse at your table. Food is better than average, but not great. Pretty expensive for breakfast food.
Great drinks and delicious food. Fish and chips were delicious. Very friendly staff, clean and great location.
I have three words, Tower of Bacon! This is the best place you can eat in SoCal for breakfast, there is not other place that compares. It is a MUST!
We went here recently and enjoyed the happy hour, they had their large front windows all open and were practicing safe social distancing and cleaning practices.
FIRST, WE HAD A HOUR WAIT DUE TO NO RESERVATION, I UNDERSTAND THAT, BUT WEN OUR HOUR WAS UP WE GOT A TEXT SAYN UR TABLE IS ALMOST READY, BUT THE HOSTESSS TOLD US SINCE WE DIDNT CHECK IN AT THAT TIME, WE WERE TAKEN OFF THE WAIT LIST & HAD TO BE PUT BACK ON THE LIST FOR ANOTHER HOUR WAIT TIME. THEN WEN WE GOT OUR FOOD & 1.OF THE ORDERS WERE WRONG. I ORDERED A MED WELL BURGER & GOT MY BURGER MED.. BIG DIFFERENCE... HERE FROM OUT OF TOWN, WONT RETURN...
Great drinks, great food, cool vibe. Love the breakfast twist. Its do e in a really interesting way.

I only had drinks and the prices are high even for LA. My usual is typically $10 to $12 but was $14 here. Nothing special just Casa Migos w sodawater.

When the bill came i paid cash. And it took them 22 minutes to give my change back almost they tryed to keep it🤔But I do recommend the caramelized bacon and tater tots 😁

2023-10-14 21:41:27Honestly best shrimp and grits I’ve had in a good while. Definitely very good flavor and not over bearing, good combination of everything on the plate it’s just 🤌🏽🤌🏽. Visiting L.A for the first time from Texas and man im glad my friends chose this place. 10/10 recommend.

2023-09-09 19:54:12Some highs and some lows. We got the late night croissant and the nighthawk breakfast sandwich. The nighthawk had more highs but also more lows, the candied bacon is a must, the egg was sub par (trying to make something fancy with sun dried tomatoes is a bad idea), the biscuit was ok but nothing special. The croissant was ok but once the pickled onions were removed it was actually tasty. I would actually say to skip this place most because they dont allow you to make modifications and the food is not that good the way that it comes, but after modifications it was much better.

2022-09-24 09:12:10Nice, chill spot to go to. The music was amazing, the staff was friendly and most importantly the food was beyond spectacular! I can not rave more about how delicious the food is! My favorite has to be the crab seafood cakes then the chicken and waffles and I can not forget about the nachos. Let’s just say whatever you order you will not be disappointed!

2021-10-26 22:32:59My new fave spot. Everything I ordered was DELICIOUS. The calamari and chicken fried shrimp were my faves. The drinks were also good. Happy hour is where it’s at. The staff was friendly and the music was good. Can’t wait to go back and give my palette what it deserves.

Hot & Crispy tots sweet & Spicy Bacon! Yummy! I enjoyed the Chicken & Biscuit w/country gravy. I usually Dont like white gravy, but this was well seasoned & flavorful.Hubby had The Amigas & he was Happy! Son had the sweet potato pancakes & Chicken, He was Very pleased. Generous portions but Not overwhelming..Perfect!We will be Back!

2021-10-05 23:05:22Such a good spot. Good vibe inside and they open the front windows to the street. We got the candied bacon and tots. The bacon was spicy which went well with the crispy tots. We had sangria, blue cow (blueberry mule), tropical mimosa, and the Vietnamese Iced coffee (spiked). All the drinks were great but the Vietnamese spiked Iced coffee was really really delicious. I wish I lived here so I could come back. The whole menu is really interesting. Do recommend!

Each time it was a pretty different experience, but I’ll try to give it a fair review.The Spiked Cereal Milk is great, that’s a good reason to try this place.I’m a vegetarian, and the food is alright. The hash was pretty flavorless, and it led to lots of their sriracha ketchup being ladled on top. That said, it could be just the two times I’ve had it, who knows.The breakfast sandwich patty wasn’t great either, though the muffin and sauce were tasty. The tots were crispy too.Overall, seems like the food is hit or miss, as are the drinks. The michelada was pretty fizzy and not great, nor were the Vietnamese Iced Coffees.BUTWe all know, things happen, chefs change, who knows if that’s the exception or the norm. But for me, the food wasn’t memorable enough for the price it commands.

2022-09-16 16:09:58The menu looked impressive but I was not 100% thrilled about the food. I had the candied bacon and tots along with the late night croissant. You can’t go wrong with tots but the sauces were a bit odd to my liking. I was told the “nighthawk sauce” was an aioli, I could not see the comparison. It was also on the croissant as well which may have turned my tastebuds off as well. Chicken on sandwich was a bit overcooked, but in all I would give a second go round if I am in the area. FYI- the bathroom was neat, very clean!
