Amazing Ramen! Great service. Overall one of the best ramen spots in the Santa Barbara area. If you like ramen this is your spot, without a doubt. They offer your choice of a thin or thick noodle, which is a plus. My go to is the Kuro with thick noodles and pork belly. There is a large list of additional toppings as well if you wish to add more. I usually always add a soft boiled egg and bamboo shoots. I’ve eaten here many times and it’s always perfect. They offer a good variety of appetizers and sides as well. The service is always really good and everyone is friendly. If you’re in the area and in the mood for delicious ramen, you must come here.

I really liked the food, the place is not in vain so popular, when we came in the evening on a weekday there was almost a full boarding. Ramen is very tasty, much better ramen on State street. The staff is polite. The food is delivered very quickly. All food, salad in Poke bowl were fresh. We were seated with our dog without any problems. I recommend this place. We will come here again

Good Ramen- with all taste profile boxes checked and plenty of meat, but what was striking was the excellent service! They took our order quickly and it showed up at our table in what seemed like 90 seconds! Ha started chowing before I thought to take a picture.

This is the place to go if I crave for Ramen noodles. I usually order the original Shiro, with pork shoulder, plus bamboo shoots. Simply delicious! Afterwords, I would walk down to their Japanese market, a small grocery store, vegetables are very fresh.

I only get here once every few years, but love it.I had the TONKOTSU SPICY “AKA” RAMEN with thick noodles, pork shoulder. It was great, just enough spice to give me a little bit of a nasal run, which I like. The serving was generous and I added a soft boiled egg and also a spicy deep fried egg. I did not like the spicy egg addition as it was not good. The texture was not to my liking and would not order that egg again. Other than that it was a great bowl.

After I tried Nikka Seafood Market I had to try Nikka Ramen and see if it was anywhere near as good. It was.I had their Tonkotsu Shiro with thick noodles and pork belly. It was full of fresh ingredients and the pork was perfectly cooked. It was very tasty. with an incredibly rich broth.It was busy but service was super fast on this early Saturday morning. They offered cheaters chopsticks, connected on one end so even someone as clumsy as me could slurp up my noodles with them. The prices arent fast food prices, but for what you get they are reasonable.

I dont leave many reviews, but these guys deserve one. I ordered the salmon/tuna poke bowl, large size, and thats what it was! Generous portion and great flavors. The fish was fresh and the spices just right. The service was quick and the price was amazing at $15.00. The Gyoza was delicious as well. I had mine to go tonight, but next time maybe Ill dine in. Either way, Ill be back!

I finally got to try this place and it was worth it. I got the tonkotsu with pork belly. My husband got the ramen burrito. I really enjoyed my dish. The broth is incredibly tasty and rich. I couldnt finish it to be honestly. I did get the thicker noodle which Im glad I chose; it was more toothsome. My husband enjoyed this burrito, which came with a bowl of broth for dipping. The service was very good and the place was fairly busy. Both of us wished there was a bit more spice or something in our dishes, but we would go here again.

I’m sorry to leave a one star review but this was just plain and simple not good ramen.It was mushy, too many (too soft) noodles, not hot when it came to the table, and the service wasn’t redeeming to the ramen catastrophe. Apologies for the brutal honestly but I only write in hopes for an improvement in the ramen creation.The food came fast and they had a vegan option for ramen but there was too much going on so that it couldn’t be enjoyed as ramen should. Too much corn, flavor was bland, too many toppings overall. Ramen is one of my favorite foods and I’ve tried many types in many cities and I wouldn’t recommend the ramen here. I looked at my friends dishes and they all looked similar to mine just the non-vegan mushy version.Check out the movie Tampopo and maybe you’ll be inspired to create a better ramen. I love the food here, especially the black garlic ramen. Its a large bowl of deliciousness, enough for 3-4 meals for me. The waitstaff are all gracious and really want to make the customer happy. There are tables indoors and outside (with a lovely view of the parking lot). Last time I tried an ice cream bar with chocolate bobo inside, covered in something yummy - very different and tasty.

Excellent ramen that measures up to famous ramen shops in LA and NYC.their tonkotsu broth is very rich and flavorful. I got the black garlic option but I would opt for the plain tonkotsu next time because it was too rich by the time I was halfway done with my food.got the spicy deep fried egg ($2.50 extra) and didn’t think it was anything special.very thick pork belly chashu slices but they were a little cold even in the hot broth. perhaps they weren’t torched enough?lastly, they had incredibly quick service — ordered, went to the bathroom, and the food was out!

I recently dined at Nikka Ramen, and while the food remains a standout, my overall experience was marred by subpar service. The restaurants cuisine is undoubtedly a highlight, with flavors that never disappoint. I consider this place to be my Holy Grail of ramen, a title which has not changed over the 10+ times I have been to the restaurant as of writing this review. My family and I absolutely love this place. I have not been to a place with better chashu pork than this restaurant between both Northern and Southern California. Its soft and melts in your mouth, and they dont skimp out by only giving you a single piece. Their broths are very flavorful and I find it very easy to be able to finish an entire bowl of their ramen and be full afterwards. Their appetizers are delicious too, but the ramen is what is really worth writing home about. The only item I have not tried on the menu yet is the ramen burrito, not sure if I ever will because it sounds way too strange.

Nikka Ramen is a very inviting location in the heart of Goleta. The tonkatsu broth is quite unlike any other tonkatsu broth I’ve ever tried and they have 3 different versions of it! I got the traditional version with the thick noodles, added chicken, corn and an egg. It was very heart warming, savory and just the thing my stomach needed! Enjoy this gem in a college town where the scenery isn’t the only thing you’ll enjoy!

The worst food I had in a long time. Look at the pictures attached. Noodles look like one piece. All individual noodles are glued to one another. If you ever cooked noodles yourself you know that this is how they look when they are OLD!As for the broth, I’ve asked for vegan option, but clearly it was not what I received, it tasted like meat. Ended up throwing it all in the trash, did not worth the money paid. Avoid at all costs.

Casual neighborhood ramen joint in the Calle Real shopping center between KFC and Trader Joe’s. There’s nothing better on a cool pre-autumnal night than slurping the delicious spicy bone broth and chewing the al dente thick craft noodles in a bowl of ramen. Love the meaty succulence of their chashu pork and the bite of all the veggies that top the bowl of noodles. Don’t forget to start with an app such as their spicy tuna on crispy rice. It was MacReeves’ first time trying it and he said it was so good! Service is prompt and polite. Prices are fair. Goleta is lucky to have a go-to spot like Nikka Ramen for authentic and tasty Japanese yum.

I had a green salad and after that my husband and I shared spicy tuna on fried rice, we had this for the first time, and it was so good, we were impressed! My daughter and I were both craving something warm and healthy and decided we would try the Ramen place close to home. SO glad we did. We were greeted with a smile, sat immediately and had a few basic questions answered. She ordered the Kuro (?) with chicken and I had the Curry with pork shoulder. Very large portions with lots of meat (protein). The curry was some of the best Ive ever had and the noodles were excellent. The pork shoulder was done to perfection and the soft boiled egg was a great addition. I added the bok choy and was very happy with the overall combination. Had to order more to take home for the rest of the family and added some buns with pork and carmelized onions. SUPER delicious and cant wait to go back. Hands down the best bowl of ramen Ive ever had👍👍

Because Nikkas specialty ramen flavor is tonkotsu and variations of it, they lured me in immediately with brownie points. I wasnt let down at all to say the least, their service was gracious and the variations of tonkotsu flavors were savory and unique. Absolutely in love with the garlic oil addition, broth was nearly addicting. Choice of Ramune as a drink seems rare, so thats another benefit to this location. I especially like the extra finishing touch with sour hi chews. Would love to come back again, very high return value.

The food is authentic and has rare Japanese ingredients like natto, a fermented soybean, that is often forgotten in hipster/fusion trendy places. Since I dont eat pork, I ordered the vegetarian ramen with the added s&b noodles and it was not lacking flavor. It had a great fatness and umami from a traditional ramen without the oink. The best deal on the menu are the small poke bowls $6 each which have like 9oz of fresh tuna or salmon, avocado, and nori. Poke joints charge like $13 for these, and the bowl here actually tastes fresh.

I came here with 4 coworkers for dinner around 5:30pm on a Wednesday. We were staying at the hotel across the street and walked over. (The parking lot in the plaza is awful. We were here the night before trying to shop at Trader Joes.) We were immediately seated.We each ordered a bowl of ramen and the prices ranged from $16.50-$17.50 per bowl. They changed an additional $2.50 to add spicy deep fried egg. Our table also shared an order of Takoyaki $6.50. It would have been nice if we each got a little plate since we were sharing, but we just passed it around and used our napkin.I ordered the Tonkotsu Original Shiro Raman at $16.50 with traditional noodle (thin) and pork shoulder. Its served with green onions, green cabbage, bean sprouts, kikurage mushroom, and seaweed. The pork had a lot of flavor as did the buttery thick broth. Really good.The service was good, we had multiple people coming over to our table refilling our waters and giving us more napkins.Our total came out to $94.00 and with tax $7.27 and tip, the bill was well over $100.

Arrived at 11:30, before the lunch rush, and was greeted enthusiastically by three young men at the front of the restaurant.These same 3 guys served us throughout our lunching experience, which made for a very pleasant ordeal. When a friend who knew we were dining there popped in to say hello to Baby, they immediately were served up with a glass of water and a place setting, even though they werent staying.The food came quickly and was nice and hot, and they accommodated our various off-menu requests for Baby. Food is over rated. I moved to santa barbara 9 months ago and have had people reccomend me this spot multiple times. I order the spicy ramen with shoulder and 2 eggs. The noodles I got were over cooked the broth has a weird after taste. I maybe got 10 bites into it before I was done. Truthfully believe that if your going to go spend 20$ on some ramen then your better off going to Santa Barbara Craft Ramen downtown.

Best ramen I’ve had since i visited Japan. One great touch is meat portion size... got the pork belly which is delicious, but also generous; two nice chunks of probably 3-4oz, so 6-8oz total... so its as hearty as it is delicious. Will definitely go back!

Nikka was recommended to us by our friends. We drove from out of town to give it a go for lunch. The servers we had were great, very attentive and friendly. The ramen was tasty and the portions are generous. The star of the show is definitely the meat and they give you a lot of it. I prefer ramen broth to have a bit more fat. It was almost as if that had been strained out and I like the complexity in flavor when thats added back into the broth. This isnt to say that what Nikka is providing isnt delicious. Its still a worthy bowl and I would recommend it if you are in the area.

Our family had several bowls Shiro and Kuro with each of the meat types. The ramen was rich and delicious and the servings were large. We also tried the karaage and gyoza and they were both very good too. The staff were nice and attentive. I do wish they had a kids menu or smaller bowl option for kids because the portions are so large. Other than that everything was perfect.

That was some tasty business. Authentic, rich cloudy stewed broth with a generous serving of melting pork over fresh noodles. Soft boiled eggs of gooey perfection! A couple of good, modest sakes to try. I love spicy but the traditional broth is the choice here. Unpretentious interior design and casual dining, as a ramen bar should be. Cant wait to return!

I’m a huge fan of Nikka Ramen. It’s one of the few places my entire family collectively enjoys. It has a lot of strong flavors; bland palates beware haha.I saw a review criticizing the stickyness of the ramen in a takeout order. Personally, eating in the restaurant is the best, but since we’re in a pandemic most orders are takeout. So keep in mind, it was intended to be served at the restaurant.For takeout, it is reasonable/normal for warm noodles to stick together. The beauty is, when you add the hot broth to the warm noodles, it unsticks the ramen! :) The ramen noodles and broth are served in separate containers (for carry out) to preserve it. Some common sense could have been used for that review.But I love ramen, and this is one of my favorite places to get it. Hope this review helps anyone who is on the fence, hopefully we can all dine-in soon.

The best ramen Ive had hands down. Im no expert so Im excited to find a better one, but if I cant I wouldnt be disappointed. I got the pork belly ramen in spicy broth. Honestly it was very spicy so if you dont like that I suggest the regular broth. After I finished my bowl of tried my sister, who got the regular broth, and it was so full of flavor. Next time Ill order both and just take one to go!

Got in unusually quickly today at the beginning of lunch time. Had the tuna poke bowl for $6. It was just right for lunch. Staff was great and the poke was really good. Excellent service. Broth was on point! Noodles were on point. Egg couldve just used a bit more sweetness and saltiness but was soft boiled perfectly. Did I say broth was amazing? My 5 year old loved it as well and hes picky! Best ramen weve had. We had yuzu ramen, tonkatsu, and spicy tonkatsu. Facility was also extremely clean and servers are friendly and attentive.

First time here, and we took advantage of the presence of a young woman at the table next to us to get some suggestions - and what we had was DELICIOUS. We each had a good sized bowl, with a delicious broth, noodles (thin or slightly thicker), our choice of protein, I had some chili paste on the side, some veggies, ... The wine was not very good - single serving bottles. I would say stick with beer. But DO try this place out! We will be back.

This ramen is to die for!! Amazing food and kind/helpful staff. I just wish they didn’t use disposable plastic water cups and styrofoam. Last time I brought my own container for leftovers which I recommend because the portions are very big and reasonably priced. I like getting the spicy pork shoulder ramen and getting garlic oil on the side to add in. Yum 😋

One of the best Ramen ever. I come from the Orange/LA areas where concentrate the best oriental foods. This one comes as a really surprise to me. Nikka is amazing. Im a regular at their establishment. Their broth is very rich and salty. Their noodles are perfectly textured. The meat is soft. The additional sides are also recommended. The prices are reasonable.If youre craving ramen, nikka will satisfy that craving and more.A few caveats. It is a large bowl of ramen. Lighter eaters may want to split one bowl with a partner and get an appetizer.

Two stars for the service that let me down, the food is always amazing. However, my third time here was a little sketchy. The waiter gave us our check no more than 5 mins of us receiving our meal. Meanwhile no one else received their check until after their food was finished. They didn’t even give us a chance or the opportunity to order desert or anything else for that matter after our meal.
