The service was both fast and friendly, which added to the overall positive dining experience. The Orange Chicken was an absolute standout, easily the best Ive had in a long time. The Yellow Curry packed a delightful punch of spice and flavor. Im already looking forward to returning for more of these fantastic dishes.

Tasty food! Highly recommend the cashew rice dish extra spicy. Those red Thai chilis pack a punch! Outdoor and indoor seating. Kid and dog friendly. Even when they are busy, they were able to seat most parties (sans a party of six) within 10 minutes as promised. They may have been a bit understaffed for peak/meal rushes. It took a good while to to get our food. The appetizer took about 25 min, and we were able to order our main dishes only 15 min after that. We weren’t in a rush, so it didn’t bother us much. The food was delicious. And felt authentic and fresh. We got the calamari app; it was light and tasty. The sticky mango rice featured a delicious and tasty mango. The basil eggplant with shrimp was tasty, but a little light on the shrimp count. Parking can be a bit tough, but plenty of street parking around on Colorado, Green and the surrounding side streets. Just need a little luck, we found a spot within about 6 min of circling. There is a lot across Colorado on the north side, but it may be for Vromans and offic depot. Great, tasty spot!

Solid tasty thai food. Love how they add additional spice as requested. Place is pretty small. I usually just do take out.Grilled shrimp papaya salad is well seasoned and freshPad see ew noodles. 😋 Mine had a bit too much soy sauce, however overall very good.

So good! We loved our spicy pad kee mao and som tum! Both were super flavorful and actually spicy. The papaya salad was nice and still crunchy and felt very fresh. So glad this is near our apartment. Khob khun kha!

Very busy and hectic on a weekend evening, but the staff was overly apologetic and trying their best. Food came slow but was worth the wait. We tried the Thai fried rice and the pad see ew. Both hit the spot! Food tasted flavorful and fresh, came in generous portions and was decent for the price. Would definitely come back again.

Good service. Food was good. There are two Thai food places in the same commercial building. Both are great. If you happen to choose to eat here, you will get good, tasty food. If you choose the other, you will also get great food and service. The only reason I mentioned both, is because I wanted to let the new customers know that both places are great and dont be afraid you made a bad choice.

First time ever tasting Thai food. I was very satisfied with Nine & Nine Thai Kitchen for being understanding. Im not familiar with the cuisine & it was difficult to order but what little I had to taste was amazing & there was so much more on the menu I will be going back to order. This location lacks a few items that are prerequisites. I will start with the good. Our server was very nice. She did her best with what they had.My crab fried rice was tasty, as was my Thai Iced Tea.My wife, and our 2 guests were not so fortunate. 2 dishes (chicken pad Thai, shrimp pad-Thai were just plain too sweet and we asked for a new dish, but were confronted by an aggressive manager.Rather than sit there and argue, we chose to pay and leave. I am reviewing this from the standpoint of a new customer. Being my 1st time, we were open minded, but were quickly rubbed the wrong way.We do our best to support local establishments, however, sometimes its a miss. This location is definitely underwhelming. It would have been nice if they had a/c.Please be forewarned.

Yellow curry is on point. Everything else I tried was pretty good. They have a nutty to go system. Seems like they are due to a technology upgrade. But even though they are super super busy no one other than customers who have been waiting for 45+ min for their order are bothered. The customer service was pretty good. Not much seating available. Most people order Togo. This place is cute.

3.5 stars. Super super fast nice people. The front door had this screeching sound whenever someone opened it. A lot of people came in and out so busy is a good sign but I wanted to go to Home Depot and buy some WD40 for them ;)I know I know. First world problems.Pad Thai was good but my friend said it was too sweet for him. A little ketchupy he said. Sweet and sour fish was good. Prices r great.I would def come back again… with some WD40 ;) lol. Good place. Good peeps.

Finally tried this place and I wasnt disappointed, its great. Its not my favorite Thai place, especially when it comes to curry (Chim! is still my top in that regard, especially for spicy curry) but the food here was delicious.I got the shu mai for an appetizer and the yellow chicken curry for my entree, and both were great. The shu mai was unique to any other that Ive had before, and had a nutty flavor which was really nice. The curry was very flavorful and delicious, and was especially nice while sitting at one of their outside tables during a rainy night. I asked the server if I could get the curry as spicy as they make it here (he even commented on how spicy it looked when he brought it to my table) but it was lackluster, and was similar in spice levels to Janejiro which is a couple of doors down and also has great food.Definitely try this place out, its great, but if youre looking for good curry that also has a nice kick, check out Chim! and order it with the spice level of Thai Spicy.Other than that, service here was great and the atmosphere definitely felt like a street cafe, which was nice. They have a few tables inside and a few tables outside, but its not a big place at all. Very cozy.

Recommend!We arrived at around 6:15pm and soon were seated. The staff was busy but very friendly and efficient.We two had the shumai, house noodle and crispy egg noodle. The shumai was ok (the sauce was too sweet). The house noodle was better. The crispy egg noodle was the best. Both noodles were large in portion.The prices are reasonable.

I have been coming here for years. I ordered the Pad see ew with chicken. It was great. I put the hot chili sauce on it and its awesome. My son had the yellow curry with beef. He really liked it. To start we had the Chicken Satay. Absolutely delicious. On the night we went it was pretty crowded.

Hands down one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the socal area. Ive been here multiple times and Im now finally writing a review.For appetizers: papaya salad and chicken satay are our favorites. A nice mellow sweet flavor of the chicken skewers paired with a kick of spice and vinegar of the papaya salad.Entrees: A must order dish for us is their Tom Yum Fried Rice w/ shrimp, which are just flavors dancing in your mouth. And also order their Thai basil eggplant and yellow curry. We recently tried their fried catfish with red curry paste, and it was really delicious and sooo flavorful.Unfortunately, we have yet to order dessert because were always so stuffed after eating everything else, but hopefully we save enough room next time!

Adorable place with amazing food! The restaurant itself is kind of on the small side so they were full when we arrived around 6:40 on a Tuesday. They turned the heater on right away so sat outside, it was actually pretty perfect with the weather and the heater. The thai tea was a great size and tasted perfect. The fried wontons were actually not what I expected but were great as well. They are paired with a sweet sauce and there was plenty to share. It was nice not having to fight over who gets that awkward 5th piece like other restaurants have you do. My husband had a spicy beef pad see ew that was amazing. It was definitely spicy but not overbearing and paired really well with all the other ingredients. My chicken pad thai was medium spicy that was just as flavorful. Both portions were filling and enough to give is leftovers as well. I will be back soon!

My wife saw this place while we are looking for Lees sandwich. A very cozy place that serves authentic Thai food. We sat inside the restaurant even though they have some tables outside. The server is super friendly, he asked for our drinks and served it in a few minutes. We ordered the Beef Panang, BBQ pork with sticky rice and coconut ice cream with fried banana for dessert.Their panang is tasty with generous serving of thin slices of beef. We ordered the dinner menu instead of the lunch. The server explained to us the difference of lunch vs dinner. Lunch has salad and fried egg roll and the serving of Panang is smaller. We opted for the dinner since it is a little more than a dollar difference.The BBQ pork is marinated well and the sauce is a traditional fish sauce salty and spicy. It came with a sticky rice that is served inside a round basket weave.For dessert, we ordered their own made coconut ice cream. It is very creamy and not sweet that we decided to order to go.The fried banana is very crunchy and very hot since it was just fried. Not too overly sweet with a drizzle of honey and sesame seeds.We will definitely go back to this place. Definitely this place deserved a 5 star!

Pasadena has a had a renaissance of Thai restaurants of recent years. Saladang used to be be my main Thai place for 20+ years before it went under new ownership. Nine&Nine has emerged as our new go to place for authentic Thai food. They offer great tasting dishes with range that are well priced and reminds me of Bangkok (I’ve been over 30x over the last 25yrs). The Tuk-Tuk in the front creates a great mood. Satay, Salad Rolls, Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, Pad See Ew, Ka Prow Gai Minced Chicken, Kanaa Moo (Chinese broccoli w crispy pork) and Mango Sticky Rice are all great. Fish Prik Khing w String Beans is good depending on which cook makes it has been a little salty at times. But on the whole this place is SOLID!!! The owner takes great pride in what she makes and won’t serve you mango sticky rice if it’s not in season. We’ve been coming here once a week for almost a year now and would say it’s one of the best Thai places in LA and the best in Pasadena. We like this place so much that we often cater food from here via take out when we have our friends and family over for gatherings pictures below!!!

Nine & nine kitchen is located in Pasadena, they have a cute tuk tuk (the iconic Thai transport) at the storefront. You just cant miss it! So cute! Speaking of the food, we opted for a Tom yum noodle soup, deep fried minced pork sandwich, and a lunch special red curry. What impressed me the most was the red curry lunch special, it came with some complimentary salad and two egg rolls. Great value for the money, red curry was good too. And, I really loved the sauce that came with the sandwich, it was so refreshing. Overall, another good Thai restaurant in Pasadena. Worth visiting.

I really like the food here and they are accommodating for vegetarians and vegans. However they constantly seem to be short staffed and the atmosphere is kind of ruined by the volume of people talking the waiters and waitresses talking and running around a top speed the phone constantly ringing and the kitchen noises. I was distressed to see on my way to the bathroom that there were vegetables sitting on the floor in the hallway and One of the kitchen staff prepping vegetables in the hallway. The food is good the rice is amazing but theyre so short-staffed it is hard to get anyones attention you stand for a very long time at the front waiting for a table to open up or to even just be seated. I think they need a larger location and definitely more staff.

We had to wave them down to get soy sauce and a plate, and when we asked for more bean sprouts the waitress kept asking do you want more, like three times we said yes then she said it will be 2 dollars extra. I did not leave a tip and then was chased down by the waiter asking if i would give him a tip. NO, you earn a tip, they didnt earn it.

dine in if you have the time and you get a 5 almost every time. Door dash or to go order in the evening, especially on weekends… I wouldnt bother. Fav dishes are the garlic pepper tofu and the wonton soup.It’s so hard because I really wanted to give this place five stars. I’ve been a long time patron but have only just recently located to the area. The food is actually really good and very consistent but the service here, if you aren’t dining in, is absolutely terrible during a rush. I’ve watched DoorDashers stand here for 20 minutes while dining in and I myself have waited 20 minutes for my order to be taken when ordering to go. It’s frustrating and bitter sweet.

For the price this place is a 5. Maybe not thr greatest Thai in the world but I had great green curry sole for like $13 and pretty good calamari for $9. My wife was very satisfied with her Panang curry. They give you a healthy portion of meat and rice and curry so props to them for that.Beef jerky - we were hoping this was like a crying tiger with the tart dipping sauce. The service was so poor. When no one greeted and sat us we took an empty table. No one was waiting at that time. Then we sat and sat. Finally my husband went inside to order, at which time a woman came out to inform us that they were short handed and that we should leave if we didn’t want to wait. We ordered take out on a weekday night and the service was super prompt. The green curry fried rice is SO GOOD. I haven’t heard of/tried curry being used this way before and it was so good. Basil eggplant with braised tofu also delicious, both the eggplant and tofu were great textures and absorbed so much flavor from the sauce

This small place is literally a hole in the wall. Normally with a small patio and a tiny indoor eating space. Usually very busy because the food is fantastic. Reasonable and decent portions. I love this restaurant! It’s my go to Thai spot in the area ever since I found out about it. I used to eat a lot of Saladang but since the management or owner switch some years back they haven’t been the same and it just doesn’t seem worth the price anymore. This place is great though the quality and the cost. I will admit that sometimes their pad Thai can be a bit too oily, only sometimes, it’s usually great though! I’d definitely request in advance for it not to be? Just to make sure. I recently started doing that. When cooked right their pad Thai is really f***in good.

Love this place but be warned, the portions are truly massive. One entree can easily be shared by two people. Ive liked all the entrees weve gotten so far, but the Thai Toast was mega disappointing and we were basically done eating by the time they came out, so maybe do yourself a favor and skip that one.

Agree with the newest reviews regarding bad service. There were six tables (all two-tops) when we arrived for lunch. We were seated and did not get menus. Ten mins in, finally just decided to pull up the menu from our phones. THIRTY mins in, no one had taken our order but a server did walk up to another table who came in AFTER us. YIKES. I always go to new restaurants hoping for the best, hoping for a great new place. We arrived as the place was filling up and the waitress verbally took the orders for 3 tables. Two things I judge a Thai restaurant on, their Pad Thai and their Roast Duck Curry(thats if duck is even on the menu, which far too often its not). This place has gone down-hill since they changed ownership about 18 months ago. My favorite Thai dish is Tom Kha, Ive had it hundreds of time. Lately you about have to have an argument with them to make it PROPERLY. Since the ownership change, theyve started leaving out ingredients, I guess they figure people around here wont notice. I noticed. They started added tomatoes, and leaving out lemon grass and galangal root. Without the last two ingredients, the soup tastes sweet, its not supposed to be sweet. I LITERALLY have to tell the waitress to make it properly, listing the ingredients and saying and NO tomatoes, dont try and cheat me. Dropped by here on a business day lunch and the place is packed. For a group of 2 or 4, it would probably be minimal wait, but it seemed that at the time there were 2 larger 6+ groups and this small place isnt well equipped for that. My water was refilled when they saw my empty cup, so thats a plus.-=-Beef and Shrimp Pad See Ew-=- For the most part, the lunch menu extends to 3pm and you could get a meal for $7. It just turned out that my craved pad see ew wasnt on it, so I paid a couple bucks more off the full menu. For the amount of food that I received, I felt it was not reflected by the price. The lunch portions ended up being exactly the same as the dinner portions, so do your wallet a favor and order off the lunch menu since youll get a bonus rice, salad, AND egg rolls. The taste of pad see ew is pretty consistent wherever I go, but the one thing that I wasnt too enthusiastic about was the beef. The beef did not seem to carry the flavor of pad see ew well, and it had a drained out taste that you usually get from super frozen meat. The amount of shrimp and beef that they gave on my plate was pretty adequate so no complaints there. Yes, Ive had better Thai, but this place isnt bad for the occassional Thai cravings.

They are your average Mom and Pop joint. Great for a quick and easy nearby lunch if work work close, but the quality never seems to be that of a higher end joint.

Food is always great. Same consistency. Order ahead because the seating area is small and it gets busy most of the time. Or be ready to wait for a table.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is average when it comes to Tai food. 4 of us had dinner and food was not up to par. None of us enjoyed their meals. Will not return. Just was not what we expected.

We got the lunxh special, dine in, and thai teas. I had the teriyaki and my friend had panang chicken. Everything was delicious! The place is clean, great service and bathrooms clean.

This place has little too no parking, they make the delivery drivers stand out front looking like they are not allowed inside, just a bad look for food that I can find elsewhere.
