Pretty good Vietnamese restaurant. Their dry Hủ Tiếu Nam Vang tastes almost the same as the original from Vietnam. I can said that this is one of the best Hu Tieu Nam Vang Ive ever tried yet in the bay area. Their Bun Mam is also great, according to my friend. They have some spice add-on trays like pickle chily pepper and garlic which is super good. Price is okay. The employees are super friendly. Would definitely com back.

Da Nang Quan is my go to restaurant to get my Bun Mam fix. I feel this noodle soup dish is a severely underrated thats packed with hella flavor from the fermented fish based broth that may be an acquired taste to lots but for me, definitely up there with the likes of bun bo hue, bun rieu or pho. Nicknamed as the Vietnamese gumbo, it comes packed with fish, shrimp, pork slices and crispy pork belly.Da Nang Quan now makes it on the sweeter side but adding lime and peppers calms that sweetness down with plenty of veggies and makes it just about perfect.

I like this place I updated is under mew owner and she is super kind. The good things is several dishes, stay and Bun Bo Hue still delicious. . They are so nice and friendly. I ❤️ come here . After 1 year I back again.

The pho was an amazing combination of rich and flavorful. There was so much collagen and goodness in the broth that it coats your lips. The chopped beef was tender and cooked perfectly with the hot broth poured over it even after ordering it to-go and getting home an hour later. Would definitely come back for a sit down experience.

One of the better restaurant in Oakland, the name is taken from a famous city in Central Vietnam. They specialized in dishes from that region. Small, cozy and the food is as authentic as it can be. I ordered Bun bo Hue (Spicy noodle soup), I would say its quite tasty. Credit cards accepted.

Last month I was here, suggested them to have the spoons with handle up, so not everyone will touch the serving side of the spoon.Come back today, waitress said owner doesn’t want the handles up.Covid still around. Not coming back no more.Covid-19 chưa hết, mà tiệm không muốn để cán muỗng hướng lên. Rất là mất vệ sinh.

#3 steam rice cake was delicious, especially with the sauce poured on top. Had never had anything like it before.While Im a meat eater and most items on the menu are meat, I would definitely recommend this place to vegetarians. The vegetarian fried rice was surprisingly flavorful, especially with a fried egg for omnivores. And #14 vegetarian Vietnamese sauce over vermicelli was also a big hit.

Ive read a lot of good reviews about this place, decided to give them a try today.Inside restaurant was nice, clean and very modern.I would have given a 3 stars for the food quality and service. But there was this obnoxiously and disgustingly loud customer screaming, and cursing on her phone the entire time we were there with my 2 year old. She was so loud, it sounded almost as if she did it intentionally so everyone around could hear her side of the story.No one said anything to her, so I thought she was the owner, only to find out later she was just a customer. Instead of advising her to watch her tone or language, one of the waitresses actually engaged in conversations with her from across the room, they were literally raising their voice back and forth.I wasnt happy, so I put $0 on the tip when I signed the receipt. The waitress that was conversing with her had the audacity to ask me if the tip was in cash. I felt bad for the other waitresses since they were actually nice and polite so I said yes and put some cash on the table.Definitely would never come back. I would have given 3-4 stars for the service, food quality or cleanliness. But after this, never again. It was a waste of my 1-hour drive, Id really hoped for it to be good.

Love this place! I’m Vietnamese and this is where you can get authentic Vietnamese dishes with different variety (most dishes are of northern Vietnam) . there are dishes you wouldn’t see at normal / basic Vietnamese places. The people here are very nice too ! Only wish they have delivery to SF, I drive across the bridge to have this because there’s no places like this in the city

If you are in the area and love Vietnamese food, and even if you’re a distance away, this place is fantastic! First time there today and ordered shrimp spring rolls (perfect and the best dipping sauce I ever had!) and #15 Mi Quang: hofun noodle with pork, shrimp and chicken. This was a classic Vietnamese noodle soup and it was…incredible. So much flavor, so many great toppings (basil, fried onion, hot oil and peppers). Best o have yet found in Oakland.Go and you will not be disappointed.

I’ve been going here for a few years with my mom, it’s her favorite restaurant because the food is consistently delicious, fresh and generous portions.I like to support this small business because the staff is kind and attentive. One time I was eating there, a homeless person was stand outside and the waitress lady that’s always there goes outside says something and comes back inside. She went to the kitchen and came back with a take out container of soup and drink, packs it in a bag and gives it to the homeless person. The people that work there have compassion for others and this really made me want to support them more. I took the time to write this review because they deserve recognition for their kindness without seeking credit for their kind gestures.

We tried to order some basics (e.g. Bun Thit Nuong) and were told they dont have it. We also ordered spring rolls, without shrimp, and they added cold, dry, tasteless sliced pork without asking us. Since they were out of so many things, I finally just settled on ordering a large Pho Tai instead, and then 10 minutes later they told me they were out of beef--would I mind substituting beef balls? I hate mystery beef balls--yuck.d been told separately and independently by 2 different sets of people that this was a great Vietnamese restaurant. Are they resting on their laurels?Id give this place a hard pass--they dont care about providing decent service or what their customers need.

One of my favorite spots in the area.The Mi Quang is excellent. So is the crepe, the clams and rice or crackers, and the seafood soup. I havent had anything disappointing here and the ingredients are very fresh.The people are also nice, and its a good place to sit and eat. Popular with locals

Waste of time. We sat down and ordered our drinks. We looked at the menu for a while and I decided on noodles with vegetables. The waitress told me it wasn’t available. So I ask her for more time. I decided on a second dish and she said it also wasn’t available and that the only thing available on the menu was pho. She seemed unapologetic and more concerned to sit down with her friends and eat which is fine if she’s had a long shift, I understand sometimes we take our lunch when we can. But she could have told me from the beginning that there was nothing else available on the menu other than pho. She sat us down and we ordered drinks and basically wasted our time. And no, it was nowhere near closing time.

Hands down the best Viet Names cuisine in the entire neighborhood, and possibly the best restaurant in general for the surrounding area. Very nice people. Very clean and fresh. Excellent choices. Usually filled with professional looking locals having a nice lunch. The slight price increase is definitely worth it

Da Nang Quan is my #1 choice for Authentic Vietnamese dishes. Their Bun Bo Hue is the best in the Bay Area. The staff are very friendly and helpful with their food recommendations. Also, the food portion is quite a lot compared to nearby restaurants. The only thing that holds them back is the parking space which I think the owner should have reserved more spots for their customers. Overall, I recommend this restaurant to all of people who want to eat delicious Vietnamese food in the Bay Area!

This restaurant used to be very good prior to the pandemic. Decent little spot for Vietnamese food. The place is quite small, be prepared to wait if youre a bigger group of more than 4 people. On the weekends, people can be really cut throat and are ready to pounce on a table, even before its their turn. The staff do their best to make sure that doesnt happen but the patrons can still be aggressive. The food is ok, nothing special. The service is pretty good. Theres almost no parking, you may find yourself circling the block for a while, trying to find something. Overall, Ive had better and cant say Im itching to return anytime soon.

We were referred by my friend to this place for their spicy beef soup. After waiting for 25min, which I think was long for pho, our food arrived. Spicy beef noodle soup was decent but the regular beef soup (number 21) was bland and had no favor. The horrible part was the the beef balls were covered by a layer of white slimmy mucus. I tasted it, yeah, definitely bad. Cant believe they actually served that! They waived the regular noodle soup on the check but still! It was just gross

Nice little clean restaurant tucked between a few stores. I use to come here fairly often, but they raised their prices, cant justify paying $10.50-$11.50 for a bowl of regular pho when there are so many alternatives all in walking distance.

So good! The bun bo hue is so yummy. Full of yummy pork meat, bone, sausage, and blood. Come early because so of the dishes sell out or run out by the end of the weekend. Do yourself a favor and try something other than pho.

This restaurant just changed ownership. So I went to try it out. Im a food snob when it comes to dishes from my home town - Hue. This restaurant has, hands down, THE BEST Bun Bo Hue Ive ever had. The cook, I hear, uses only ingredients that he gets from Vietnam. I was amazed! I am going there again today. Im so looking forward to it!

I will definitely be coming back! I highly recommend trying their pho if you like the more herby style broth, and their most popular soup dish is the bun bo hue. Some of the ingredients scared me a little in the bun bo hue, but I got over it because it was SOOO GOOD! Maybe next time Ill ask for no blood cubes and pigs feet in my soup.

CASH ONLY!!!!! When I walked in I asked if they accept credit card or debit, they said yes, so I sat down and ate, then when I tried to pay at the counter they said its cash only. I had to go walk to ATM and get cash.
