2023-10-03 05:08:51The story of Noodle Monster is a great retelling of The Little Train That Could. While the Noodle Monster is in a great location (the corner of Magnolia & Laurel Canyon in Valley Village), it is in a nondescript shopping plaza; youd never know it was there.Unless you did.It is also the story of Amy, surely one of the most attentive waiters Ive ever met, and one of Gods little children. So, the story goes, the poor Monster had the deck stacked against it. But perseverance, my friends, wins the day.Hope, Faith, and Perseverance.I think I can. I think I can.And so they do. Even beautiful Amy eats here. The food is fresh, nourishing, and delicious. They make their own noodles. While they offer shockingly good food, they also offer a curious rarity: Peace. The people that eat at the Monster are usually normal folks whove had a belly full of their day and want to relax with a belly full of nice, soft, warm noodles. Quiet, slurping little noodles, maybe swimming in a delicious broth, and smiles on everybodys faces. And peace all around.Everybody is learning that stress is a killer - thats why the Monster is so popular. Whether its a to go order for you and your partner in front of the TV or just a quiet lunch away from the maddening crowd for a while, Amy will fix you. Let her and her noodles heal you.One more thing: while they do offer American staples like Chow Mein, Hot & Sour Soup, etc, be careful what you order. This is no average Asian fare. Nope. This is a professional Thai restaurant. If you don’t believe me, dont order, just ask Amy to surprise you.The only thing shell ask is, Do you like it American spicy, or Thai spicy? Use great caution in your answer. So now you know about the little gem in Valley Village and about the Little Train That Could. And I assure you, they can. The Noodle Monster is a great little restaurant. Three quiet thumbs up. Sublime.

2023-08-07 18:39:30When I say this place is a hidden gem and the service is spot on. Friendly, kind and attentive to your needs. I had the shrimp drunken noodles and the flavors were so authentic and fresh. I took to go but I couldn’t wait and I ate it inside ; this is the result ;) will recommend and will be back again

2023-12-05 18:00:28We dont dine in often, but weve always had a great experience when we do. We usually order delivery, which is quick and convenient. We order the chicken pho for our little ones or their veggie soup.I really like their spicy noodle seafood soup. Their orange chicken, pad-se-ew, papaya salad, and spicy beef salad are just a few of things weve ordered in the past and theyre fantastic choices

2022-11-27 21:26:47This place is a rip off! Ordered here today, chicken pho, basil and chili with tofu and red curry. The “basil and chili WITH tofu, is ALL tofu. There’s barely a carrot and cost $13. The pho had no flavor at all. I had to add chicken broth for flavor. Don’t waste your money here, folks. Never again.

2018-01-06 01:28:13Noodle Monster is a very casual noodle asian / noodle restaurant in a very casual part of Valley Village. The food was tasty enough, though presentation varied.I had the fried rice with soy chicken (I’m a fiend for soy meat dishes). This was very easy. The soy chicken was tender and worked well in the dish. It wasn’t anywhere near as beautiful as the other dishes that the other folks in my parter ordered and could have used some vegetables to round it.I also had a side of battered tofu. This was was light and came with a sweet peanut sauce. It was a little over fried which seemed to make much of the tofu inside the batter disappear…it was almost like tofu-puffs. (Sure “Tofu Puffs” SOUNDS exciting, but in practice it wasn’t as satisfying as I wanted. We had a side of vegetables at our table which were super fresh and hella-green!As I mentioned, this is a casual place which is almost nice-ish, definitely clean and while we were seated for dinner, lots of people coming in for takeout orders.

2022-03-31 22:56:28Food was excellent, but the portion size for the price is a bit off. I had a garlic noodle ramen with beef and a Thai Ice Tea and after tip it was about 30. That said, Ive been wanting to come here since I moved around the corner and the noodles did not disappoint! The Thai iced tea alone is worth going back for too!

2023-10-23 23:35:57The portion size is tiny at this place. For take out at other Thai restaurants they fill up the plastic containers, at this place it’s barely half the size of the container. For the cost, the portion size is not enough. In addition, the food is very bland. I got the Pad Woon Sen and the Pad See Ew and there was no flavor, no salt, nothing.

2022-12-30 02:41:03I found this place by accident. I’m so glad I did. I ordered the Miso Ramen & it was excellent! I will definitely come back when I am in the neighborhood. (Sorry I forgot to take a photo before I started eating).

2023-09-16 04:14:05The delivery guy with glasses was not well-trained and did not have common courtesy and respect. I said thank you and bye over the phone but he directly hang up on me. I will not order food from this place again.
