2023-05-28 13:55:59Authentic ShanXi (山西) cuisine, with noodle as their specialty. Amazing noodle texture only you could find in China. Lamb tripes are delicious. Also, cold dishes/appetizers are self serve, you can pick what you want, grab a plate and load it up!

2023-05-19 06:27:10Pretty authentic noodle place, good portion for their prices. Came here for the lamb organ soup recommended by friend, pretty good broth & chewy noodle, but really missing out the organ part, only lamb meat & tripes, no liver, heart, kidney...etc. like I had in Beijing. Rougamo pork, cold jelly & sautéed intestine all gets thumbs up. After ordering, mostly self-serve like water & packing for to-go. Which is fine, considering how expensive server wages are today... & its reflected on their modest pricing. I will be back.

2023-09-17 03:15:26Been coming to this plaza for dessert for like a decade and never noticed when this place opened, and am now kicking myself! The noodles are so qq (chewy) and the pork stir-fry is just the way I like it. The noodles are almost as good as my all-time favorites Malan (hand-pulled triangle or wide flat noodles in beef noodle soup and chow mein with thick round noodles), Even Life (spicy beef and tendon soup with hand-rolled noodles and chocolate milk lid) or my new obsession Lan Noodle (Signature Lan, or if you like spicy or vegetarian, Lanzhou Street, noodle soup with wide flat noodles). The cat ear noodles are especially q and I dont know where else to get these in America. To the 2 reviewers (who I suspect are the same person leaving negative reviews under different aliases or are getting their friend to help gang up on them), they are busy, understaffed, and the waitress isnt just bringing out dishes but also doing work in back of house, so have a heart and cut her some slack for having a moment of human vulnerability and telling a customer shes tired, jeez. She wasnt being tired *at* you, come on. She does need training on the POP computer because the first time I came here I ended up just paying cash because I didnt want to wait for the cook to get a chance to come out and take my card payment. They dont speak English but just be patient, point to the menu and muddle through, because its worth it.They can get so busy that Ive seen customers get tired of waiting and leave (in the restaurants defense those customers snuck in and seated themselves so the waitress didnt see them come in). If anyone from the restaurant reads this, please contact me. I have additional suggestions on how to run front and back of house more efficiently so that doesnt happen again. I really want you guys to succeed!

2022-08-01 05:28:02A noodle shop tucked away in a corner, but delicious food will be found no matter how hard it is to find. Clean and hygienic and the owner is very friendly. Will take care of it again and recommend it to my friends👍

2023-04-03 04:53:53Not bad. Very hidden away, but thats the fault of whoever designed this center. Me and my friend came in. Lady was training a girl about how the different terms and eating habits Cantonese have. Me and my friend just kept standing there until the boss man came out from the kitchen, and directed us to sit down, before telling the two ladies to be more mindful. I didnt mind honestly. Theyre busy, the place was packed, and I think she was offering good training about the typical clientele the younger lady would face.Food came out quick. Not bad. But we only ordered 3 items and it came out close to $45. Little more steep than I expected, but still worth trying! I think Ill come back and try to dumplings next time!

2023-05-06 20:26:33I ll give them a 6 stars if there is one! Shanxi is a historical province that has over 300 kinds of noodles. So happy that I can find them in LA

2022-11-25 02:13:20Worst service, the waitress was busy which we could understand, but the attitude was really bad. The food was good though, and when we checked out we said the food was delicious and the waitress said: oh you guys can have good food but I was completely wiped out Excuse me? We just ordered three dishes and does it REALLY exhaust you? Not the cook? Is it what you are supposed to say to your customers? Ooops sorry, we will never go again to make you more relaxed, hopefully😉
