2022-11-07 00:50:08I like this Indonesian Restaurant. The noodles taste great and the service is also top. The atmosphere is also very condusive for eating. The staffs are super nice and helpful. Parking is easy in the plaza although its a bit messy due to way the parking is managed by the plaza.

2023-11-09 22:54:14We always go here because of their batagur. We love their noodles, soups, and desserts. The best place for Indonesian food.

2023-06-19 22:11:21Love this place! We ended up eating here three times on our one week trip. The food is great (our favorite was the Nuoc Cham Chicken). Nice location with a view of the ocean.Parking fills up pretty fast, but it seems to be okay to park at the mall across the street. Its wise to make a reservation, as one day we got turned away.Sometimes, in the evenings, they open the roof, and tree waste falls to the tables, so be prepared for that. The biggest disappointment was that they havent expanded to more locations. We were hoping to find one in southern California. Come on Star Noodle. Dont make us wait until we get back to Maui.

2021-08-24 00:59:26I came across this place because I was looking for tasty noodles. The person at the counter was very helpful in suggesting what I should get because they had so many tasty options. I told him it was my first time and he gave me a free tea drink on the house. You also get a stamp card after purchasing an entree.

2023-02-19 22:01:15I’ve only written two reviews ever, but I feel compelled to write this one, unfortunately for bad reasons. I just ordered chicken satay and fried flat rice noodles. And the first thing that irked me is Noodle Stars has pictures of their menu on this Google Maps listing with prices that are 40% below their actual current prices, which is misleading. But I thought eh I’ll give it a shot, must be good. The chicken satay was raw. I even checked several pieces and in the end threw it out. On top of that I could tell from looking at it that the chicken quality was terrible. And the fried noodle dish with beef had some of the worst quality beef I’ve ever seen. On top of that the dish itself was waay over seasoned - like nobody had tasted it before it went out the door. I’m a bit beside myself at the moment. $28 for that. Personally I hope they see this review and make improvements for other customers in the future.

2023-03-14 06:28:23My wife and I stopped by this quick service restaurant after shopping at Sprouts. We had Jakarta Fried Noodle and Indonesian Fried Rice. It was very greasy for us as they made us sluggish and thirsty immediately. I think the thirst was due to MSG. And it also made my tummy hurt. The cashier lady was aggressively hot-selling various items on the menu despite our repeated refusal. And she asked a funny question, “Are you guys Indonesian?” which I think is inappropriate and rude. I’m not Indonesian but I love Indonesian food and would not revisit this awkward spot.

2022-01-12 22:53:49Ive actually tried this place when they were in a food court in West Covina. Glad to see now that they have their own standalone store.Noodles Stars, as you all know, is an Indonesian Restaurant specializing in noodles (hence their name but they do that have delicacies as well). It sits on the side of a plaza that is shared with a variety of other businesses, and a market. Parking can be bad during peak hours because of how concentrated this plaza naturally isThe both times Ive been here, there has been a common denominator. Their Me goreng. Before coming here, my only exposure to this dish was the instant ones. Although those are still good, I highly recommend trying the authentic dish, and if youre lucky to be around Noddle Stars, to try it here. It is significantly better and the dish I always look forward to ordering when coming here. I have also tried their Chicken Satay which is delicious as well. It came with some rice cakes and a very unique Shrimp Paste sauce.Overall, I love this place. I will definitely come back here time and time again for some great Indonesian food.

2022-10-27 22:08:11Delightful noodle place conveniently located close to Monrovia Farmers Market (friday nights) and suburbia (Home Depot, Ulta, Trader Joes, etc).PARKING: Shared lot. Its not an issue.FOOD:*Chicken satay: This is truly a full meal. The order includes the chicken satay, rice, and peanut sauce. Surprising amount of lemon grass in the peanut sauce, but I like lemongrass so it wasnt an issue for me! Nicely seasoned dark chicken meat.*#1- Chicken, mushrooms, meatballs, and what I think of as cha siew pork in protein category. I liked the greens, but the main event is those glorious noodles. If I could eat this everyday for lunch, I would. Its the perfect harmony of carbs, greens, and meat! They also mentioned we could ask for more soup if needed.SERVICE: So prompt and nice!
