I wish I had discovered this place sooner! I went for a late lunch and was surprised by the service and the food. The service was amazing and they go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with your time there. And the food was happy food dance worthy! I tried the fry bread sweet, the onion rings, and the jalapeno poppers and loved all of it. I especially recommend the jalapeno poppers if you get a chance to swing by. The Norris Family Kitchen is one of Del Norte countys gems!

This place lives up to the 5 star reviews. The burgers were delicious and the service was fast and friendly. We went at 11 before they were done with breakfast but they let us order lunch anyway. The Cheeseburger Rez Fries were bomb!

Honestly best quesadilla (buffalo chicken and jalapeños) Ive ever eaten. Ive never had a Smash Burger before, but that was even better.Mom and pop restaurant. Staff dresses casually. Youll order up front and they then bring to your table. Super quick service! Dogs welcome.

This place is legit! Traveling through town and ended up eating there two days in a row. The OG Smash burger is so good. Truly a ‘smashed’ burger. The Philly OG is great too. Really nice owners who work the tables too. Great spot for burgers, cheesesteaks and fries. Great looking breakfasts too.

My dude and I had an amazing smash burger and Philly! The owner came out and talked to us and gave us some tips for things to do around the area as we are from out of town. To top it off they were kind enough to throw in some soup and fry bread for us to take back to where we were staying. Truly a wonderful introduction to the area and will definitely make a point to stop by here our next pass through.

NFK was everything the reviews said and then some. It was the icing on the cake to a perfect day. I had the Smash OG, fiancé had Nashville Hot Wings and my son had Cheeseburger. Everything was perfect. Specifically the wing sauce had the perfect combo of heat and flavor. Hamburgers cooked perfectly and tater tots and seeet potato fries were crispy and light. We had Indian Fry bread for dessert and, no surprise, it was the best I have ever had. Did I mention how incredibly friendly they are. Food served with love. Need this place back in Phoenix, AZ where we are from.

The door into Norris’s says “Food Made with Love.” It’s also fresh and delicious, with kind and professional staff. It’s just a jump off the busy tourist drag, and a world away as far as personable hospitality goes. Truly excellent in every way. Super clean, and a sunny dining room. A true family affair. I had a great experience here! I went to visit a friend and they insisted we try it out because they love it so much and I have to say Im a huge fan now too! Theyre most well known for their smash burgers which were delicious. Theyre also very well known for their fry bread which is probably their biggest seller as it is sold stand alone, with cinnamon and sugar or most commonly as the bread on their smash burgers. Its in such high demand they were almost out when we arrived and we were able to get the last piece of the night to share for dessert. Go early, get the smash burger with fried cheese curds. Enjoy!

I’ve eaten here twice now and the food does not disappoint! Their smash burgers are ridiculously good. They make the only decent Philly Cheesesteaks in Northern California. The tots are addictive. And the fry bread - holy cow. Light, airy, perfectly seasoned. Like croissants on crack.The staff is clearly excited about food and is happy to talk to you. If I had a note to give, it’s maybe to spend a little time on the interior decoration to make It feel as warm as the staff. But overall, there is no reason not to give this place a try.

What a surprise to find. We were traveling up into Crescent City from the Prairie State park. An my husband was hungry hungry. After reading some negative reviews, I was a little hesitant about stopping by this place. However, this far exceeded my expectations. Not a good place. Not clean at all, gross. You wonder why people if they own a business don’t put their time into cleaning it. You would think that would be the normal thing, but to add insult to injury is the outrageous and extremely high prices for food that is NOT that great at all. I guess I should count my blessings, I didn’t get sick and had food poisoning or something worse. I don’t like these fake reviews that I read and listened to that actually recommended this place which was false. I NEVER WOULD HAVE GONE HERE, EVER AND WASTED MY MONEY!If they did clean up the joint they will probably charge $60 for non good food

10/10 would recommend! From the second we opened the door, it was like we were being greeted by long time friends and family. The price you cant beat it! 5 smash burgers with 5 garlic cheese curds on the size and it was cheaper then going to fast food. They had the food out almost too quick being I was taking it to my boyfriend and his coworkers for Thier lunch break. The food sat in To go boxes a half hour at the job site before the boys took Thier lunch and everything was still delicious, not soggy, and just as fresh as when we sit down and eat at the restaurant. We love NFK.

We had high hopes for this 5-star rated local favorite but we were disappointed. I got the egg breakfast plate with sourdough toast. I ordered my eggs over medium, but they arrived runny including the whites. My hash browns were crispy on the outside, uncooked on the inside, and greasy throughout. The sourdough toast was store bought and tasted like packaged white bread. My partner selected the deluxe biscuits and gravy. You would expect a family place like this to have amazing homemade gravy, but this was powdered from a package and the biscuits tasted like they were bought precooked.The cinnamon fry bread and service earn high marks so we’re giving this a three, but everything else was, at best, a two.

We stopped in for dinner on a weeknight in June, 2023. To be honest, I think we went to McDonalds. We walked in and were told to order off the menu on the wall. Pay up front. Then wait for your meal. Since I ordered a burger, it was almost identical. The only difference is that I dont get asked to give a tip up front before I eat and for basically a McDonalds experience. The only difference between my Norris experience and the Burger experience that I had a week ago at McDonalds was the Norris Family Kitchen putting me in an awkward position extorting a tip up front before any services were rendered. If you dont tip, will there be retaliation?Anyway, let me say that the employees were great and I will not say anything bad about them. So please do not take it that way. So the food came out and to be honest neither of us thought are food was all that good. My burger wasnt bad. But the fries had no flavor. You should not have to cover the foods taste with condiments to give it flavor. The wife didnt even eat most of her food. Although she put on a face and told me it wasnt bad. Yet she left most of her meal. And no, she didnt have a burger.Maybe we just picked a bad day. Maybe we picked the wrong. food. Whatever the explanation, we were just passing through, so more than likely, we wont be back just because we do not live on this side of the country.Im not saying the Norris is bad. I am saying to try them and judge it for yourself. You may have a totally different experience. And that would be great as far as Im concerned.

Fantastic service and great food. The service here is fantastic, not table service but might as well be. You order at the front desk then take a seat. They come around and check on you after they deliver your food and see if you need anything. They clean up the table so you leave your table as is when done eating. The staff is very friendly and seems to enjoy their job.I have only ate hamburgers from here but they are always great. Definitely a go to location for a hamburger meal. Would recommend to anyone.

This place is a great stop as you travel the 101. They are dog friend and even made my Solly dog a pup patty for him to eat. The breakfast burrito is excellent and well worth the price. Walking in to NFK after a long day of driving, I had no idea what to expect. I was greeted warmly and one of the staff kindly explained the menu to me and my girlfriend. My girlfriend ordered the woodsman. I was stuck between onion rings and fries with my smash burger and after debating a while asked for onion rings. When my food came to my table, they had split my side for me so I could try both the onion rings AND the fries.The service here is amazing. Everyone was kind and in a good mood. The restaraunt and the bathrooms were clean. The food was incredible. I would definitely go out of my way to visit again on my way through California. I couldnt be more pleased.

I spoke with both the owners, and they were extremely hospitable, kind, and made me feel at home. I am in town for a few more days and I plan on going back before I leave. We had such a welcoming experience here! It was hard deciding what we wanted because the menu was expansive and everything looked delicious. Great smashburgers, pastrami sandwich’s & the roast beef with green chili is to DIE for! My wife Amber and I came in for a to go order and the staff were warm and welcoming. The guy behind the counter was very helpful and they set me up with a habennero and scorpion pepper burger oh man the flavor was amazing. Perfect spice ratio to patty. If I could give a 10 star review I would. Their Smash Burger is the bomb. I love all the cheesy goodness and how fresh the meat tastes. I cannot wait to go back and try the hot pastrami sammy since its my favorite.I do have to say I was a little disappointed the last two times there because they were out of my favorite crinkle cut fries and substituted them for regular fries.The best thing about Norris Family Kitchen is the service and the smiles you get when they see you there. This family is truly authentic and such an asset to our community!

Our family is travelling through the US for 10 weeks now and this is the best burger-place we ever came across! The Famous Smash OG was absolutely delicious, the fries the right amount of crunchy and perfectly seasoned! The kids were loving their smiley-mashed-potatoes, hamburger and chicken tenders. As desert we ate the fry-bread with cinnamon and sugar. After finishing one basket, we had to order another one, it was so good! We felt very welcome, the people working there were really kind and explained the different kinds of potatoe-sides (tots, smileys..) to us. Being foreigners, we did not know what those were. The owner even went to the kitchen and got some samples for us. Extraordinary service! They really care about their place, their food and their customers! We will be back tomorrow!

My philly cheese steak sandwich was over cooked hamburger meat. It had lots of cheese, onions, and peppers but all that could not cover up the burnt hamburger or the grease. The fries were overcooked hard and greasy. The fry bread was doughy and tasted like flour. The were out of a lot of things like onion rings and sweet potatoe fries. The place was hot and stuffy. Not a pleasant experience at all. It was $60 for three of us. The other two sandwiches were burgers. I will not be going back.
