Novo in San Luis Obispo

The restaurant has a big back patio, and is pet friendly. It was very nice being able to relax and have a great meal while still being with our dogs. Afraid of the cold? They have that cover too, outside heaters, it was amazing!!! The service was fantastic I only had to ask for water once because the waiter made sure we all had waters all the time. Note, they have a lunch menu and a dinner menu. I got the lunch menu, it was fantastic, their calamari appetizer was one of the best one I’ve ever tried. I had the Thai green chicken curry…. Delicious!! It was a lot for me, I wasn’t able to finish it but I enjoyed it. They also have a kid’s menu, we tried the spaghetti and asked for the parmesan cheese on the side… very enjoyable!!I recommend this place always… I gotta try their dinner menu, you should too. I hope your experience is as amazing as mine was.

Shrimp po boy was very good, as was the grilled salmon salad. Not great but very good. Salad was a bit plain with mainly salmon and spinach. Good beer selection but be sure to ask which ones are on draft. I wound up with a can I didnt really want. But atmosphere is great by the creek and our server was quick, attentive and knowledgeable.

Incredible downtown eatery with multiple seating options, including creek side patio seating, away from traffic and noise. The menu is quite diverse and truly has something for everyone. I had the Singapore Chicken Satay, which was delicious and not too spicy. Just enough for a good lunch portion. My husband tried the Lamb morgues, which he also enjoyed. As good as the meal was, the ice cream beat it all! Such rich flavors and ganache topping…to die for! Service was exceptional. Single stall clean restrooms. Paid street parking only.

This place is tranquil and awesome, great ambiance. Get a table overlooking the creek, plenty of shade and there was a pleasant breeze when I ate here. The sound of the creek was both soothing and pleasant. Service was helpful and friendly, the food was prepared with fresh ingredients and a known culinary hand. Outstanding experience overall

Always such a consistent experience! Great food for every taste, incredible cocktails and a wait staff that is attentive and even when busy, you never feel neglected by your server! Great wine selection with a solid group of bartenders that can find a cocktail to suit your tastes!

In the running for best restaurant of mine in SLO. Superb service, amazing food, and a beautiful atmosphere.This restaurant offers primarily Creekside dining along a beautiful section of the creek. And dont worry about being cold they have a plethora of heaters to keep you warm. Plus they have stylish blankets if you want one.The food was excellent a perfect portion size, tasting delicious, and excellent presentation. I had the duck and my mom had the pork and both came with just enough meat and plant of vegetables and amazing grains. This was amazing.When it came to service it was fast and impressive. They have so much staff running about the restaurant refilling water and clearing plates at the perfect time. The clear the plates with in a min or two of you finishing and refill water constantly. This was truly an amazing site to see.10/10 recommend.

Great service, ambiance and awesome food! Everything from soup to snack to dessert was delicious. Nice wine selection and cocktails. The passion fruit margarita was so tasty. Only downside - paid street parking

Monday evening dinner for 1. No reservation, waited only about 5 minutes for a table. Seated on the patio in the back. Pretty surroundings by the creek.Excellent service. Attentive but not over the top.Excellent food. Seared ahi tuna salad followed by vanilla creme brulee. Salad was a bit heavy on the dressing for my taste, but still ate every bite. Tuna was cooked perfectly. Creme brulee was simple, light.Would recommend and will repeat.

Weve been coming here on every visit to SLO for about 15 years. It never disappoints. The setting, with its large creek-side deck overlooking the running water and a festively-painted colorful building across the creek, is probably the best in SLO.The staff and service is friendly and attentive without being obtrusive.The food is consistently interesting and flavorful, with great food served in generous portions. Their wine list, including a thoughtful selection of dessert wines and single malt Scotch choices, is well-rounded and well-priced.On this visit we shared a serving of shrimp and avocado spring rolls -- two large, tasty rolls -- and both chose their specialty Chow Novo with prawns. Excellent!We even found parking easily on Higuera Street.The only thing I found to criticize is that its several hundred miles from our home, making this a rare treat! Try it -- you wont regret dining there.

Excellent out door seating. Great brunch hang out spot.It was very packed last time we vidited, this time we visited on a weekday, and we were seated right away. I always like the presentation of their food. A simple glass of Rosé can be delightful for a warm day.
