My new favorite place to eat and decompress. Rich the owner is always great for funny conversation and the staff is super sweet. Great local hangout with beer, wine and other non alcohol choices. Huge menu. NEVER disappointed with food or friendly patrons.

The tavern is in a very welcoming, quiet and safe neighborhood. The night I was there, the parking was open and available, but I imagine this isnt always the case since the parking lot is rather small. The bartender is welcoming and the service is fast. I got a very generic Stella and Modelo, so my selections were delicious. The person I was with ordered dark beer and a strawberry something or other beer...I thought they were horrible, but she really enjoyed them. So two ratings of GOOD for their selection. The food was fast and tasty. I ordered the American cheeseburger, nice. She ordered the chicken wings, also tasty. The food isnt anything to write home about, but it was good for a neighborhood tavern. The atmosphere was awesome as the music wasnt overpowering (classic rock) and there was no yelling involved with our conversation. The prices were very easy on the wallet and their website offers coupons (there is also a Groupon offer to sweeten the pot). Overall very satisfied with this spot. Great job Numero Uno Tavern.

Disappointing Experience with Rude Service and Unresolved IssuesI had a terrible take-out food experience at this restaurant. Not only were they unorganized, but they also charged me for extra dressing for my salad that was never supplied.The chicken tenders the packed with the marinara sauce open up and poured over all my chicken tender of course my kid wouldn’t eat them covered in sauce. The should have never pack the chicken tenders with the sauce.To make matters worse, the person I spoke with 02/04/23 night shift she was extremely rude and condescending. She had no solution for returning my money for the extra sauce I paid for and seemed disinterested in resolving the issue. It was either drive back and pick up the dressing or nothing.I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone ordering for a pick-up or delivery due to their poor customer service and lack of accountability.

I really like the pizza here, I think is the best one I have ever had in the valley. Ive tried deep dish which I love and thin crust and they are both delicious.I decided to not come back here because of the awful service. They have a young employee that couldnt give us a decent service. She took forever to ask for our drinks and then even longer to take our food order, that we ended up asking to another employee who is pretty nice.As I said food was great but when if was time to ask for the check and a box to go, we told the young lady and instead of taking care of our requests, she stood up behind us and talked for 20 minutes with the people seating there and completely forgot about us. What type of customer service is that?I just got really disappointed because it was my go to pizza place.

Service is even worse than this place look.Just moved to the area and decided to give this place a shot. Placed an order for pick up and was told it will be ready in 30 minutes. Arrived after 25 minutes. They were quick taking my money and then Nothing. I stood in front of them for an additional 30 minutes.When I asked what happened to my order they all act lost and tell me it will be a while. I guess order was never put in. No apologies, super unfriendly.Place smell bad inside.Avoid Numero Uno Tavern if you can.

The inside was a typical beer bar with a great selection of beer. The deep dish pizza was ok. It needed more cheese. We got it with only cheese.They didnt put enough tomatoes on it either. Was kinda dry. The antipasto wasnt great. There was a lot of lettuce, but not enough meat and cheese. Service was friendly. I would go back, but order differently.

We ordered to go all the time because their pizza is great but decided to give it a try for dine in.The owner came to great us and made recommendations A+ for that. The waitress seemed a bit uninterested, she was nice but not the personality you need for a waitress(specially on a Friday night).The garlic fries were awesome. The Philly cheesesteak was pretty good too. Overall I had a good experience and will be coming back, maybe sit at the bar next time.Large selection of beer and wine. Reasonable prices.

Very hard to even get to the food. whoever was ansering the phones on 02/07 at 1pm was completely useless. Would not tell me what was on the menu seemed like to much of a chore for her. When asking about sides i literally had to guess out of thin air of what they had and wait for a reply of yes we have that or no we dont. My 9 year old brother possesses better verbal communication skills than the worker here.go to amecis instead.

My wife and I had been here last sunday to watch football. We ordered from the football menu but had to wait 30 minutes before the manager and staff realized we had not received our order only to apologize and blame it on the kitchen. When the check initially came, we handed the owner our payment, he returned it adjusting it to include a beer not listed initially. We chalked it up as a misunderstanding, but later thought maybe our server tried to make our experience better by discounting our tab, only to be overruled by the owner...hmmm.Despite this,we decided to revisit them craving wings and a cold beer. The beer was cold.....but the wings were dry and over cooked. We ordered garlic fries that were well fried, but too heavily dressed with pungent out of the jar garlic. We also ordered the sliders which were also cooked to death and almost burned leaving them dry and tasteless. We were initially greeted by the manager on duty who was polite and attentive,we made our drink order..and never saw her again. We were helped from then on by another server who later took 15 min to look up and see we needed the check and never once inquired about anything other than filling our empty beers. Although we disliked the food overall, we managed to finish the wings and most of the fries with the aid of the beer to wash away all the unpleasantness. The sliders were left half uneaten and untouched.When the check came, the items that were ordered in happy hour did not reflect in the price. As we brought it to the servers attention, she replied if you say thats when you ordered it, Ill have the manager (who we thought went home) change it. As she returned with our check, the remaining sliders and fries sat in plain view and we were never asked if wed like to take them home or if we werent pleased.Looking over our adjusted check, we were shocked to see a charge of 2 dollars for not paying with cash. If there was a posted sign on the premises, we must have missed it but were still sort of apalled. As we made our way out deflated, we wondered were the staff dissapeared to. We exited seeing them clamored in a corner away from all the paying customers attending to something far more important than the patrons.Being in the food industry for nearly 50 combined years, my wife and I have learned to take the good with the not so good. This chain has been around for a long time and they need to understand that bar food and bar service is what it is, but your average patron these days is more savvy to food quality and service and experiences like this will effect them adversely in the age of social media and information sharing. So step it up Numero Uno! We dont expect you to be the best, (regardless of your name)but we dont expect you to be the worst!

I havent had this pizza in more than 30 years. I had to have it again to see if it was still good. It did not disappoint. The only problem is now Im back to hating every other kind of pizza. I live in Michigan and I cant wait to come back to California for the pizza. Stay safe out there Numero Uno praying for you guys. hope you dont lose any of your locations in the wildfires

The only reason I don’t rate this place a 1 is because our waitress was very polite. Family ate there last night. They didn’t charge them extra for using their credit card and they gave them coupons. I read the coupons front and back and nowhere does it say for pick up/delivery use only. Next night, fam comes back and I join. Turns out, they only take those coupons for pick up orders only. They didn’t honor the coupons for dine in. Regardless of the fact that It doesn’t say that anywhere on said coupons. We move on from that and say “Oh well, bummer.” When we receive the check they charge 3.80 extra for using a credit card. They never told us before taking the check that there would be an extra charge. We would have paid with cash to avoid a extra fee that wasn’t on the bill the night before.Honestly, if you want good pizza and beer go to Jerry’s on Sherman way before Topanga. They do not nickel and dime you with coupons that don’t work, and extra charges to your credit card just to use it without telling you first.

Been going to Numerous Uno since I was a kid, however this is a little different as it is a tavern now. All in all I would say it has a decent beer selection, good service at the bar, but food is average. May go back for a few beers but wouldnt be eating here again.

My mom and I ordered food for lunch and oh gee, the food was terrible. She ordered the spaghetti w/ meatballs + marinara and it honestly had no flavor to it. I ordered the fettucine with italian sausage and I couldn’t taste the sauce. Not only that but the sausage tasted bland and biting into it made my stomach hurt. The bread that came with the pastas were burnt and we weren’t given utensils OR napkins for our pick-up order.The pizza wasn’t too bad but the cheese tastes like plastic and it didn’t mesh well with the toppings (tomatoes/onions/mushrooms)

I was looking for a place to eat for lunch that was close to me. So I tried Numero uno. I order a philly steak sandwich. For lunch. Well the took a long time to service a simple sandwich with no fries and no drink. And just a small sandwich was only $11. The price for the sandwich was only $9. So I dont recommend this place because its very expensive for small food. And the staff is not so nice. I personally will never go back there again I made that first mistake going there.

This is a fun place to come for a relaxed place to eat. There are a wide variety of salads, and a ton of other non-pizza items like subs and pastas. Lots of beer and wine selections as well. Havent been to happy hour, but the menu keeps calling to me.

The food is good but the service isnt very nice. I ordered a pizza over the phone and went to pick it up but didnt notice it was incorrect until I got home. I called back and asked them to remake my pizza correctly and they asked me to bring it back. I bring it back and then the manager/owner rudely says that I didnt tell them I wanted it that way over the phone. I didnt say anything because they had already started a new one. Not only was he rude, but the pizza looked nothing like the first one I received. It barely had any cheese and was loaded with bbq sauce.

I have frequented this place numerous times, but tonight was the final straw. There is a new, blonde haired young lady by the name of Kathy, whom not only told me (the customer) that I was lying after seating us, she was abrupt, rude, classless and unkempt. After being belligerent to my guests we subsequently exited, and headed over to Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasas-where our business was welcomed (much more hospitable).You have lost a customer whom has been enjoying Numero Uno Pizza for over 10 years.There is no room for redneck rudeness in my upscale pizza establishment. I will find another Numero Uno who would like my business.

Very very rude guy answered the phone. called to find out if a pizza had been delivered to my job as a surprise by my boyfriend. the delivery guy was given specific instructions to leave it at the front desk for me and he was sent away because he did not communicate to the staff upon delivery as requested that the pizza was paid for and sent for me so it was just left at the front desk and nobody knew that it was there, I never received it. The delivery guy had no common sense, so, I called about 2 days after to try and receive a replacement pizza thinking if I did not receive the product they will replace it with gratitude because I am a good customer and it was already paid for, delivery screwed up. Long story short...the guy who answered the phone was rude right off the back, so what do you want me to do replace it? Rude tone, condesending, jerk. He continued interrupting me before I could even finish my inquiry.I guess he does not realize that if it were not for me, he would not be in business. customers can make and break you no matter how great your product, customer service should always be a number one priority. I did not like him, hence I will never order from this Numero Uno establishment again.

The pepperoni deep dish pizza is my favorite pizza of all time, this is the most delicious pizza in the valley hands down. I travel from Venice to indulge, craving it - pepperoni deep dish pizza. As one of my favorite pizza joints, numero uno does skimp on the ingredients: perfectly portioned above your average amount of ingredients, extra cheesy, superbly perfect crust texture and size all being crunchy yet soft, pepperonis all around to cover each tomato piece, all immersed in the delicious herbal sauce.This pizza is to die for & I will proudly say,“I lOVE THE DEEP DISH PEPPERONI PIZZA from MUMERO UNO WOODLAND HILLS!”
