Decent priced spot for a casual sit down experience. Tried the Tiger Roll the Crispy Salmon Skin roll and a cucumber roll. Rolls were a little too big to eat comfortably but the ingredients were fresh and the taste was great.

Decent sushi. Rolls range from $12-$16 but most seemed to be around $14. Got the iron man roll and it was pretty filling. Their yakisoba is okay but their yakiudon is great. I love the sauce and their chewy noodles. The staff is great and very friendly. I ate here years ago and ate outside because of covid restrictions. The view outside is very picturesque if you decide to eat on the patio.

This place used to be so good!! The last few times we’ve been the food has been undercooked and kind of gross actually. They are always playing inappropriate music and the staff makes you feel uncomfortable. I think it’s safe to say we won’t be back for a while.

Everything was just okay.Sushi was okay, rolls generally had a lot of sauce on them. Nigiri and sashimi were not my favorite, had some stringy/tough pieces that just didnt seem good quality.Service was okay, slow and took awhile to get our orders.Picture is of spicy yellowtail roll, which was pretty decent.

Food is pretty good but service is absolutely non existent. I placed a to-go order and was told it would be ready within 20 minutes. I get here and for 10 minutes, the staff keeps walking passed me without acknowledging me. I get tired of it and stop one of the waiters who takes my card and then says it’s not ready yet. It’s already been 30 minutes AFTER the time I was supposed to pick up my order but I’m still waiting here.

Dont listen to the haters. This place is usually packed, and packed for a reason. This place is the best around, and I have been to them all! Service is sometimes a little slow, but granted for all the business they do inside the restaurant and to-go orders. You see delivery orders like crazy flying out of this place! And for the same reason, this place is simply the best. Good job on making great sushi and thanks for being located in Rancho Cucamonga. I will not go anywhere else from now on.All the bad ratings are from impatient peeps and peeps just looking for stuff to complain about. You know all those Karens in this world... Just saying. I came here for the first time and it was so good. I cant believe the are still in business with the prices they have. I love it and I can see why theyre always so busy. They have happy hour all day everyday so definitely check this place out! The service was so great. The servers working here are all super nice. The service is also really fast. With cheap prices, you cannot except like high end sushi. This prices are fair for the quality of sushi you get. I mean the cheapest roll is less than $5 and you cant beat that anywhere. You get what you pay for, but everything is still fresh and I didnt get sick or anything so I will be back!

Fantastic food with a lot of sushi on happy hour price all the time. Service is OK; they get pretty busy and you have to flag your server down more than I think is appropriate. Might have to do with they dont seem to have sections. They greet you; they are your server so they have tables all over. It is super small so that isnt as awful as it sounds but more often than not Im having to look for the server. However, the food and the prices keep us coming back and gets them 5 stars.

I think I understand what O-Dai-Ba is supposed to be about: very large rolls at fairly reasonable prices. Unfortunately I cant have them because of allergies. I decided to try a couple of their appetizers instead, as well as their yakisoba.First we had tako yaki. My fiances first bite was nice and hot, but not scalding. When I ate one from the other side of the plate however, it had a bit of ice still in the center. Microwaving your food without making sure it is thoroughly heated is a very bad sign for a restaurant in my opinion.Disappointed, I moved on to the miso soup. This was fine at least. Hot, and reasonably priced. Not much else to say.What I was really looking forward to was my steak yakisoba. At the price they charged, and seeing the large sushi rolls they were serving, I was expecting a fairly large portion with two small but refreshing side salads, and some rice. This is not what I received.On my plate there was approximately a cup and a half of yakisoba, half a cup of each salad, and a full cup of plain white rice with a few black sesame seeds on top. I was stunned. I have never in my life ordered yakisoba and been given such a small portion, and the way it was plated atop a cheap plastic plate made me feel like I was in a cafeteria or hospital.The yakisoba was decently tasty, which is unfortunate because it was gone in a few bites. I didnt eat the rice because it was completely plain and Im not really a fan. The green cabbage salad I ate half of. It was pretty much just coleslaw. The baby greens salad was pretty good. Slightly tangy dressing Ive come to expect from Japanese salads.Unfortunately O-Dai-Ba was entirely disappointing. Had the price of the dishes matched the quality, I would have likely had a much better time, and expected less from them.

The reviews were great, but my experience was not.. I waited for over 30 minutes. I was a party of 1. Which are sister took party of 2 after me. When I ask the wages how much longer it would be she said she would clean the table off since there were at least 2 tables and occupied. So I waited about 10 more minutes and the wages avoided eye contact and also never cleaned the tables so I just left. Awful customer service. I will not be returning.

I would highly recommend this sushi restaurant to any and all. Their afternoon to evening prices on most of their rolls are extremely reasonable from $5 to $7 for a decent sized roll. I usually get take out because there isn’t a large amount of chairs available. The staff is friendly and I always receive good service. If you are wondering if this place is good, I’d tell you it’s great. 👍🏼

Weve been here 3 times in the last year, always with the same friendly servers. They even took some of the apps off the bill due to a mishap which was very professional from our view :) Definitely the main place we go from now on. Happy hour is also great, and our bill is always less than if we went to an All You Can Eat style. You wont regret going.

Ive been coming here for years and its my absolutely favorite Japanese restaurant and maybe restaurant in general. Their food is amazing and affordable, and they have a great amount of options on their menu. Their service is always amazing and quick. I always come here for my birthday and always recommend this place to my friends! Went again the other day for my boyfriends birthday and our waitress Joslynn was very kind, attentive, and fast! All our food came out super quick and delicious and I have never had a bad experience here. Also Im SO happy with their addition to the menu of Takoyaki, its my absolutely favorite Japanese snack and they made it perfectly! Only thing that could make this place better would be adding boba drinks to the menu! :D ❤

We came early for dinner at around 5, so there were only 3 other tables there. Service was fast and courteous. They checked in on us often. We ordered the Shogun boat amd were extremely satisfied with the sashimi quality. We loved absolutely everything. This definitely beats AYCE places bc of the thick slices of FRESH quality sashimi. The two of us filled up on the sashimi, nigiri, and tempura. We got the 2 rolls to go even though its the same price as AYCE. Dont skip this place just because its not AYCE. I highly recommend it.

Giving two stars is being generous. First they brought me the wrong food, I told them it’s not what I ordered. Said oops, not even a sorry. Then gave what they had brought me to the table next to us. So they got rolls that had already put on our table. They bring my families food, wait 10 minutes still haven’t brought out my rainbow roll. Ask again In another 10 minutes. Then he says it should only be a few more minutes. We then watched 2 tables get their rolls that ordered after us. At this point I still didn’t have my roll, my family is done eating and I’m still waiting. Not cool. About 20 minutes later finally they bring it out. After all that my rainbow roll was awful. The salmon had a freezer burnt taste to it and the roll itself tasted like a fridge. Needless to say we won’t be going back.

Its not always about the food. Sometimes its about way one is treated. Very sad to say that sometimes money trumps treating people kindly. And we experienced it in this place. I can only hope the owner learned a valuable lesson. There are times when having compassion for people actually does more good than harm. The potential for an excellent review and for repeat business was at hand, but now unfortunately will not happen with my family. The owner and his staff were given something to think about.

Tonight is the first time Ive been to this restaurant. Our friend that lives in Rancho Cucamonga took us here. The waitress has blond hair, she was real attentive at first. The food was very good and big amount of food to. Im giving 4 stars because she could of been a bit more attentive. I like when a server is like that, I could understand if it were busy but it wasnt. DONT EVER ORDER RAW FISH FROM THIS PLACE!! The fried crab and shrimp tampora were cold and soggy!!! When we complained about the food, the waitress and chef didnt do anything about it and in return we got dirty looks!!! 1 bad experience is enough to NEVER come back!!! The food was okay not great but not bad but my reason for the 2 stars is it not only took them 10 min to seat us (plenty of open tables) but after 30 min of eating and my glass of water being empty prior to my server bringing my food and yet still I was not offered a refill I even tried several times to get the servers attention but was unable to get any service once I received my food. The other person in my party had ordered a coke and also received no refill on his coke. I ended up going to the registers to pay because who knows how long it would have taken to get the bill. While at the register I saw the owner and made my concerns known to him he seemed unfazed but the entire event and less than concerned. In fact he didn’t even apologize for the experience he just smiled and said okay. Needless to say I won’t be revisiting this restaurant.

Most of the bad reviews I read were based on service. While the service was just fine (why I’m giving this place 2 stars) the sushi was god awful. We ordered the sushi/sashimi box and were highly disappointed. The sashimi was cut so thinly and it was so dry that it was on the verge of becoming fish jerky. I have never had such tough/dry fish that it was borderline inedible. We actually left sushi on the platter (something we never do). I do not recommend this place.

I bought a Rainbow Roll on April 24th to go around lunch time. When i got home within 10 minuets and opened the box, the tuna reeked of sinking fish, the white fish was discolored and the shrimp was shriveled like it had been in the refrigerator a couple of weeks. How anyone would think it would be OK to serve this rubbish is beyond me. I called them to let them know awful the roll was and couldnt believe they would sell food that would make me sick, they offered to give me a free sushi roll. Ahh no thanks, i prefer not to eat rotten fish. I would advise you to stay away, if you do go best of luck.

O-Dai-Ba is a expensive sub par sushi restaurant. Im gonna start with their long waits when they have customers. I came here when they where half full and it took them and hour to bring out a six piece Spicy Californian Roll. A whole hour for just six pieces, that werent even that good. Ive been to many sushi restaurants and on days where they are crowded it takes about 15-20 minutes for one plate of sushi(6-9 pieces). Secondly there food and sauces taste bland as hell. I order a side of there spicy mayo and it had zero taste. It was bland and it just made my mouth sting slightly. The roll i ordered(Spicy California roll) had no flavor and wasnt even that spicy. It was like i ordered a rice roll covered in hot sauce. Thirdly they have piss poor service, they do not come to your table and you have to ask them. My friend had raised his hand to order some more sushi and the waiter rolled her eyes and begrudgingly walked over and severed him. Lastly their menus is misleading and the food cost way to much for its taste. We came during happy hour and was given the menu which has the name of the item to the left and the prices to the right. There where two options for each dish which was hand or sliced(dont remember the second name). The hand dishes cost more than the sliced ones. So when i got my bill i was surprised how expensive my meal was cause my waiter didnt tell me that it was hand made and not sliced.In conclusion, I would not recommend eating at O-Dai-Ba their food is to bland,expensive, and to long of a wait. There are many sushi bars that do what they do better and cheaper.

This deserves a NEGATIVE STAR for service. My brother an his family visited the restaurant. For some reason his credit card was not working. Whoever the manager was today refused to receive payment over the phone or thru venmo. My brother had to wait over an hour with their child who has autism for a relative to come by an pay in person since the manager would not take the payment over the phone. The lack of cooperation presented by the service of the personel really shows how little they actually care for their costumers.
