Not the best ramen you’ll ever try, but its good. The noodles are quite thin for the Tantanmen and its a decent amount of spice. Flavor is there, but overall not incredible. Just good. The takoyaki is 10/10 though.

Delicious. I had the chicken Ramen. So good. The soft boiled eggs were perfect. Fresh veggies, great flavor. Had a simple Ramen soup for my almost 4 year old. It was very busy, but thats because it is so good. Generous portions as well. Forgot to take a picture before devouring it.

Difficult to find authentic Asian food in the area so we were surprised when we found a dedicated ramen shop. The overall environment was clean and decoration was on point. Good little ramen shop, especially considering its in Bakersfield. Great ramen and the udon dishes are good as well. Egg in our ramen bowl was a little over done but the broth and noodles were perfect and a lot like the negi ramen we used to get at her favorite spot when we were stationed in Japan. Well definitely be going back.

For Bakersfield, this gem is a hidden joy. The service was great, the food was good and filling. I wouldve rated it higher but they messed up our order a little bit. Hopefully we can go back and give them many more chances.

Alright, first the place is clean and cute. Food is good. People are nice, But while i was sitting there enjoying my food the cook wearing the olive green NY baseball hat was behind the line eating with his hands multiple times. Then proceeded to prepare our appetizer without washing his hands. Completely unacceptable, unsanitary, and just flat out gross. Please have your cooks renew their Food Service license

Chicken Shoyu was a watery flavorless chicken stock. No soy sauce hint at all. Its Bakersfield though so you cant expect much. Chinese run fare as usual, because the margins are good. Rough clientele. Gonna try another place after as I gave up on the meal.

Every time I go here I wait over an hour to get my food, both dine in and order out. This time ordering out, we went when it said it was ready when it was not in fact ready and ended up waiting a total of an hour and a half from time of ordering to actually receiving the food. When we arrived at the restaurant, the waitstaff ignored you. The worst part was that the order was completely wrong when we finally did get it. Will never be returning. Very very disappointed.

I’ve tried lots of different ramen places in LA and San Francisco but this place was one of the best places so far. I had the tantanmen and takoyaki so good! Ramen was spicy but had good flavor the broth was very rich and the noodles were a good firm. Definitely recommend and I definitely will go again when I happen to visit Bakersfield.

Unfortunately it was the worst ramen Ive ate, even the ready ones from the mall are better. Sorry but didnt enjoy it. Also teriyaki chicken wasnt great. Visited Bakersfield to see family and I wanted Ramen.First, it was 9:35pm and the worker who answered the call says they already had last call as they close at 10pm. Oh I said ok, then he said last call is at 940pm. Umm its 935pm so he said ok, hell take my order. I was there at 955pm.Food:Tonkotsu RamenShrimp TempuraThe Ramen was ok. It did lack a bit of flavor. Its not what Im used to with having a silky bone broth soup. I shouldve added togarashi or soy sauce.I know since I had my order to go that the noodles wouldnt be as good. I wish it wasnt as mushy. Other Ramen restaurants Ive been would not cook the noodles as much (just loosen it-al dente.)The shrimp Tempura was a but chewy too. Darn it.Id like to give them another try when Im in town but this time dine in.

So I live in hawaii and have been to Japan, it really surprised me to have a quality place in the middle of nowhere, and in a little plaza much less ( Im glad I needed a bathroom to use) I ordered tantanmen ramen, chicken karaage and some kirin beer. The food was spectacular, the waiters and the owner made sure to be friendly even mid dinner rush. And mid rush the food even came out in a timely manner. I would say anyone even remotely thinking of ramen or anything Japanese should stop here.Oh btw I think its adorable you guys spell the names how they are said and not properly. Its a smart idea that way the people who arent comfortable embarrassing themselves by saying it wrong can still order it.

Me and my boyfriend eat here about 4/5 times a month lol we love it I want some right now lol I get the tofu one because it has veggies in it and I tell them to take the tofu out just because I mainly want the veggies then I make it kinda spicy (mild) and it so good and always fresh. O Ramens food was just delicious. I got the tantanmen, their hot spicy pork broth, thats got a shimmering layer of chili oil that made me salivate just looking at my bowl. Our waiter was prompt and saw to our needs before we even anticipated them. They can get pretty busy on the weekends, so try a weekday for a slightly shorter line.

This place is horrible. You sit way too close to other customers, I had the kakk chkn and it was definitely undercooked. I had let the waitress know about it and she said it’s probably chkn thigh and left. The ramen isn’t flavorful. If your looking for a good Asian restaurant try ichi ban, shoyou, amd hon ramen.

This is a fun ramen spot with anime style art all over the walls. You cant go wrong here. They offer a variety of noodle dishes, Bento boxes (until 3p), ramen, appetisers, pop, drinks. The food is phenomenal. We have never had anything except an awesome dining experience at O Ramen.The ramen combo is great if youre sharing or extra hungry. It comes with fried rice and salad in addition to a massive bowl of ramen. The noodles are always cooked to perfection and toppings are delicious. Highly recommended.(Llama chopsticks not included-we brought those because hes learning. Got them at World Market but I think there is something similar at Asian Market, too)

The tonkotsu ramen was not how I remembered it the last time I went to this place last year. The chashu was basic, and the egg was overcooked. The broth was slightly too salty and it wasnt as rich. The noodles were fine, though.

Came in tonight for our first time, signed in for dine in, my boyfriend asked a female server how long the estimated wait time was and she continued walking past him and rolled her eyes as she spoke “I don’t even know”. Rude customer service if you ask me. I get it, it’s busy, but this is your job. Don’t work customer service if you are going to carry that kind of attitude. I was looking forward to trying this place too, but we left right after that.

I freaking love this place I have forgotten to post here its just that good so I waited until I could keep my hands off my food and take a few pictures. I dont know how far it is from you but this is worth the drive. The broth on the 4 different ramen I have tried are all amazing and so full of flavor. All the other items from the appetizers to the selection of beers, youll find something new to love each visit. They are super nice and will recommend great dishes to try on your first go. I recommend this place to all my friends.

I am a big fan of Ramen and Anime, this place has both. I really like their Chashu Ramen. Its pork meat with broth, its really delicious. I like mine with extra green onions, bean sprouts, Chashu and mild spicy. It comes with a small bowl of white rice and teriyaki chicken. I dont really like it, I prefer the Ramen over all. They have Anime girls and many other Anime characters eating Ramen. They are framed posters with a big art piece in the middle of the wall. Really interesting to see. I really like this place for Ramen. I recommend this place.

My sister recommended this place since we like to eat ramen every where we go. I got the pork broth ramen with all the basic add in. I enjoyed it but I think ill try the chicken next time. I also got the chicken gyzco and those were really tasty. When I got there, there wasnt a wait. I was able to place my order with my water. The service was fast and friendly.

Ive been here twice since it opened. The service is friendly and accommodating. The ramen here is better than other Japanese-style restaurants in town. And it is priced cheaper. It seems at other ramen restaurants in town that by the time you get your ramen the toppings have cooled it down considerably. However, the ramen here is warm. Price wise, its not as expensive as another place in town. When you get an egg in your ramen here, it will be creamy, not overcooked. You can get Takoyaki here as well - pan-fried octopus balls. It doesnt take long to get your food and you can easily get out in 15-20 minutes.

My new favorite spot in town. O Ramen, what will i do without you (cheesy pun). I gave this spot a try some weeks ago as I’ve always driven past it. We finally took the chance and dove right into it.My wife orders the Salmon Teriyaki bowl and i order the spicy Tantanmen Ramen.The Ramen there is some of the best I’ve eaten. My wife throughly enjoys her salmon as it is seasoned well. The service is pretty good, but it does get packed easily. So plan ahead of you want to go for an evening dinner. I highly recommend this spot to anyone that reads this review. It’ll be worth your while.

If it weren’t for the food actually being really good this place would’ve deserved only one star. I’ve been here multiple times and have been disappointed with the service every single time regardless of dining in or taking out. When dining in one of our meals is either forgotten or taken to a different table entirely almost every time. While doing take out their eta is never what they say it is they’ve always ran at least another 15 minutes over the estimate. Again the food is always good the biggest issue here is the service. I’m not a fan of leaving reviews but after being disappointed so many times and as consistently as it’s happened I find it necessary to leave a review.

Just bad! Went there with my wife and friends. We were one of the first tables seated and one of the last tables to receive part of our food. My wife’s ramen wasn’t even made correct. We had to ask for the spices that come in the ramen separately because they didn’t add it. My food never arrived our friends let them know I never got it and the waitress refused to come to our table and so they had another male waiter came who was some what helpful. I just asked him to take it off the ticket and not bring the food. I wasn’t going to eat by myself and I was probably not going to like the food. I use to love going to this place but now it’s just horrible to go to. We drove from the Central Coast to come eat here. We had such fond memories of the food but now it’s just disappointing experience after disappointing experience.

I love this place, the food is fantastic. Whats not fantastic is the employees. We arrived and put our names on the paper and top of the list. We watched as a table to fit our party size open up. They had a competition to see who could avoid cleaning the table the longest. 30 minutes later they finally cleaned the table and finally seated us. Fast forward another 20 mins and we dont even have waters yet and no one has come to take our order yet either. We now have to place our order to go. They need to hire someone who can help them get organized. Now the ladies at the table next to us got cold food and asked for their stuff to go to leave no as well. Not a good day for O Ramen.

I have been to this place many times and I have never in my life been treated so horribly at a food service place. The guy i talked to literally made me break down and cry in the center of the restaurant. I ordered ramen Togo because I have 100 degree fever and wanted something to soothe my throat, I got home and they only gave me broth. No noodles, no insides nothing. I went back to get it and he argued and told me they gave it to me so they’re not going to fix it and literally called me a liar. Said “they have cameras” so I said go and check them. After going back and forth 5 minutes I literally broke down and started crying and I think he just wanted to get me out so they made my noodles which was literally all I wanted. We even tipped well because we love the place. So sad I can never go here again.

Giving it a 3 because you can’t do 2.5 portion wise the ramen bowl was big but I guess that’s to make up for the flavor of the broth.The eggs were hard boiled not soft boiled. The Tantanmen Ramen definitely better than the pork Tonkatsu. Ignoring the food poisoning, this place is still extremely overpriced for what you get. The ramen was mostly just broth and noodles with only a very small serving of the sides. Not a lot of flavor in the broth either. The potstickers were very oily and not flavorful with the meat basically oozing out of them.Even hole in the walls in LA are better and cheaper than this. Im not sure how this place is rated so highly. The salmon and tuna sashimi I ordered was not fresh at all. The ramen was stuck together on the bottom of the bowl. Pretty much its precooked ramen with soup poured over it. The broth is not the creamy ramen broth Imuse to. The egg in the ramen was overcooked and not fresh. Nothing compared to Socal ramen shops if thats what youre looking for.

Tried going to Oramen after seeing the amazing reviews, but left feeling really disappointed. We sat down right when the place opened and saw people coming in after us getting their food before us. After 40 minutes, we asked the waiter how much longer it would take to prepare the food and they had forgot about it. We had to wait for an additional 10 minutes for our takoyaki and ramen which were lackluster. The takoyaki was fine but the tofu ramen was bland and tasteless, the tantanmen was mediocre, with the spices overpowering the ramen. Definitely have had better. Try Tora Ramen in Boston, MA if you get the chance. Much better service, care, and food. Today was the first day I left a ramen bowl at a shop unfinished, half full actually.

Staff is not really on top of things. The ace is not really that clean put they do show a A from the health department.Finally after a good 45 minutes we get a bare table. Takes the waitress ( who has only 3 tables a good 20 minutes to acknowledge us, take our drink order but then totally forget to bring the drinks, but both other tables have their drinks for a good amount of time.We wait another 30 minutes then bail.We dont see the draw or the positive ratings. So I called and the other person I ordered them for noticed they put mine and their gyoza together by then i was already on the phone with staff asking what happened and they said they put it in 1 box. If i order 2 orders of gyoza dont assume its for 1 person or a family and then speak rudely to me on the phone, i was a very regular customer i expect things to be packaged separately (like usual) unless i request otherwise. But instead i was spoken to rudely when all i did was ask a question in a monotone voice. All could have been avoided if you didnt cheap out and packaged them like usual and separately rather than cram 12gyoza in a single small container. Used to go here 1to2 times a week. Will not support a business who treats me as such because they decided to package their food differently and then when asked treats me rudely. Ill drive the extra 3to6miles to go to a different spot if thats how their staff want to conduct themself. Was a regular there and always loved it for the most part there and because of a mistake on their part I was treated rudely for asking a question, then when I ask for 2 orders of gyoza I expect 2 separate packages/to go order boxes as I have always had before unless I ask otherwise. Also you cant pick bowl size.-1 point because my two non picky eaters didnt like the ramen or the katsu chicken. We ordered 4 bowls of ramen, and yakisoba and their ramen dishes are EXTREMELY SALTY! I can tolerate sodium but their level of saltiness is beyond what I can take. The staffs offered to make adjustments to the ramen which we took the offer and afterwards, the ramen became more tolerable to be eaten. Now in no way, shape or form am I a ramen expert but I take pride in knowing good food and O Ramen does it well.Over the past year or so I have not changed what I order unless it is an appetizer, some rice or my drink, I stick with one ramen simply because it blew me away from the first time it burned my mouth to just the other day when I had it yet again. Now I know there are other places outside of Bakersfield who may do it better, I would not know because I have not explored them, but in my foodie opinion, O Ramen does it best here in Bakersfield.What is my choice of ramen that has not changed? TANTANMEN! It is: A red chili oil pork broth ramen with chashu pork, marinated soft boiled egg, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, garlic, cabbage and ground chicken. Recently I started adding an extra egg and extra noodles which come on the side to pop in when you feel the need. Tantanmen is bursting with UMAMI, the level of spiciness is always consistent and the depth of the broth is very rich. If youre not into spicy food dont fret there are six other ramen options which eventually I will try.Depending upon how much hunger we are currently enduring we may order some appetizers, we have tried several and none have disappointed. Their Gyoza which you have a choice of chicken or vegetable is done well, not oily like some places and the sear on them are quite perfect. The dipping sauce is just the right touch to accompany the appetizer.We have also had the Karagge Chicken, it is super crispy but the chicken is still moist. If youre into mushrooms and dont mind fried foods, their Monkey Ball is definitely a nice choice. They are panko fried mushroom that is drizzled with a spicy mayo sauce, that line just makes the mouth water up.They have many options which I do want to try, the Tantanmen is my addiction currently so I cant break away yet; they have Pan Fried Noodles, several Rice Bowls, salads, bento boxes and dessert like mochi ice cream. There is something for everyone to enjoy and O Ramen is the type of restaurant you will want to tell everyone about, we surely do, friends, family and colleagues.

Another delicious bowl of tonkatsu ramen. I keep trying other ramen joints in town, but keep coming back here. It really is that much of a difference. Marinated egg was particularly well cooked and soft boiled to perfection tonight.

Its always been my favorite place to eat! Dishes I recommend are the Chicken Katsu Don with Garlic fried rice and their chicken shoyu ramen!

First time trying any type of ramen, so we asked the waitress whats the she recommended. We got the tantanmen and it was amazing! Great food and great staff!
