I would not recommend this place, on Sunday, Nov 26, 2023 should have never happened but again the owner doesnt care about Good Service. After this visit I will Never Ever Walk in leaving money where one is Unwelcomed. We live 20 mins away and decided to grab dinner here that we walked into the establishment at about 9pm to find we were being turned away because they were closing according to the employees. Awkward when their sign has the hours till 10pm so the employee explained that they start closing early to be completely shut down & gone by 10 pm. That just doesnt make any sense unless the franchise owner DO NOT want to pay wages by minimizing labor and avoiding any work over 4 hrs. This just frustrated the heck out of me because I paid $35 plus a $5 tip for a large Pho, spring rolls & egg rolls. Then after I paid,, they mentioned that I was unable to dine inside and had to have my dinner outside. This was unacceptable but my wife didnt want me bring it to their attention as the young girl was only following orders. The food is now over priced, unfortunately, greed has sunken to take it forUpdate: The manager & Daisy were ok with the employees actions and not making things right with the service they provided. They had also turned away 2 couples at 9.30pm. Anyhow people you might want to seek a place that values to welcoming you and not see you as their profit!

Went in to have lunch early before lunch crowd around 11:15. Decided to take it to go instead and PAID. When I asked, the cashier said it would take about 10 minutes. We waited outside for our order. After a half hour, I decided to go in and see what the holdup was. As I walked to the counter, I noticed 6 people at different tables had been served. When I asked for my order, they hadn t even started it.Apparently, this business feels that people who eat in are more important than people who order to go from their counter.

Worst place i have ever been at I go in they tell us to set down .We did people start walking in instead of helping us they go and help the other people we didnt get anything.We had to get our menu by our self . We our waiting but they never bothered to ask us what we wanted to drink or what we wanted to eat so we decided to leave because there were looking at us but they dont bother to acknowledge us.

My experience with a to-go order was deeply unsatisfactory due to the extreme uncleanliness, ranging from the floors to the menus, compounded by the sight of a dead bee smeared on the inside of the front window. Upon pointing this out, the waiter was as surprised as I was, believing it was on the outside, revealing a concerning lack of attention to cleanliness.I ordered a $17 pho, which was served so quickly it seemed inevitably microwaved. Given the distressing reviews mentioning filth, roaches, and questionable hygiene practices, I chose not to eat. Instead, I gave the meal to a homeless individual, whose profound gratitude was the only heartening aspect of this experience.This establishment must prioritize hygiene to avoid potential health code violations. Its disheartening to describe, but this place is in dire need of a thorough cleaning.

I wanted something special noodle. Thats why I ordered this fried[?] noodle. It was literally just fried. I didnt expect the visual, but it was tasty. Other common menus were also good. The amount was big enough for my four family members.

Its a small indoor eating area, but there is outdoor seating. The portions here are generous and the food taste great. In regards to the customer service, I guess it depends on the time and day. Ive had days where they are excellent, and the service is awesome. But Ive also had other times when the service was just not there. Either way, I do enjoy the food.

Absolutely disgusted. As my family and I are eating my child notices a “bug” on the wall next to us. I look over and a cockroach is crawling right towards my table of food. I told the server and she explained that it’s been an “issue lately” and they sprayed but can’t get rid of them.

Its located across a movie theater with alot of other restaurants. Its a nice place to chill and eat. Ordered the chow fun noodles with basil and seafood. Portions were large. Ill eat here again, menu is big.

The food was great! After eating and all set to pay my bill, I headed to the cashier.When I got to the counter, the lady cashier/server said she cannot be disturbed because she is having her lunch. I offered to tip her despite her grouchiness but she said you dont need to tip! I will never set foot inside her restaurant. Customers are NOT always right. But the day I set foot in that restaurant for lunch, I know I was at right.

Even though this place isn’t totally vegetarian it has some great tasting vegetarian options. My favorite is the crispy noodle dish while my wife and kids love the fried rice here. The price is okay considering the portions they give. We live in Baldwin Park so we don’t come to this place too often but when we’re in the area we do frequent this place. I wish there was a closer one to LA.

Food is alright. Good to satisfy a craving.However. 3 stars because the wait time is absolutely ridiculous. I don’t know how you’re suppose to be here and wait more than 30 minutes for two dishes. It’s not just on Fridays either. It’s always like this. I get it maybe it’s fresh? Or there’s maybe mobile orders? I don’t know. They need to prep faster. They don’t care if you’re outside waiting. Maybe the world might end before you get your food? Who cares. They don’t. Even when you dine in. Take out. It’s all the same. Every time.

This is an honest review, i am not here to trash Ocean pho but i do want to make the public aware of my experiences. For the past two times i ate here, i literally had to rush to their restroom and puke my brains out. Quite literally, the vomit was very severe. Everything that i ate from here just projected out from my stomach. The first time i ate a piece of meat from their flat noodle plate and right when i bit into it i had to excuse myself from the table and run to their bath room. Luckily the trash can was right in front me when i opened the door or else there wouldve been throw up all over the floor and i wouldve felt bad for the workers. The second time was today, i had their pho and as i was in the middle of eating my dish, i had to quickly rush to their restroom and project everything out that i ate. after i threw up i felt great. Im just writing this out just incase any one has a weird suspicion of there food like me. what makes it weirder is that the food tasted good so i dont know if there just using spoiled ingredients. i hope this helps for future and returning customers.

Great service! The pho flavor have changed and servings seem to be a bit smaller. My girls normally would share a bowl because they cant finish a bowl each. But the last time we visit it was pretty small.

It was busy when we came and we had a party of 6. However, we were treated more like an inconvenience once we walked in. We let smaller parties go ahead of us because this location is small and we wanted to be polite, yet the staff were seating groups of three at tables that had the capacity to seat us. I usually have a high patience level because I worked food service and retail and know how much it sucks; yet I did not appreciate the dirty looks we received from staff and management. Unfortunately I would not return to this location unless someone dragged me there.

My wife and I come here often and we always love the food. The staff is friendly and the food is great. It’s also conveniently located next to Harkins theatre. Stop by and get something healthy and quick to eat and then hop over to the theatre...when it opens back up.

Food was okay, service was terrible. We called in our order, she told us 15 minutes. We get there after 15 minutes and waited another 20 in person after paying. The lady running the front was very busy answering the phone, helping the line, & bringing out orders.She ended up giving us the wrong order and no drinks. We then asked for the drinks, she never charged us for the drinks, so we waited another 5 minutes while she took another phone order just to pay for the drinks. She wasn’t polite at all. The broth was cold & it couldn’t even cook the meat. It was a waste of time and money. Don’t recommend.

I give it a 2½. I rounded up to three only because this is one of those places where a combo actually has stuff like tripe and tendon, not easy to find. I chose this place because were still not out of the woods with Covid, and I prefer a place with outside seating. However, this comes at a cost. Apparently they have a policy against serving water outside that doesnt come with a 2000% markup - they flat-out refused to provide a simple cup of water, which we only ordered since they were out of coffee. And since they were out of bottled water, that meant no water. After paying $2.50 for a Coke, they never brought it and we had to go back inside to get it. Price for a place out in the 909 was high for the amount that they serve. Sorry, I wont be back.

The restaurant has seating inside and outside. The food is exquisite. The servers are very attentive. The spring rolls are wrapped tightly and stay together. I have always had them fall apart in the past. The food is inexpensive, my wife & I ate there for $30 including appetizer! We have found a new favorite restaurant! And because it is located in the Mountain Grove Plaza across from the Harkins Theatre it perfect for a dinner and a movie date night!

Service is HORRIBLE. Server made me feel stupid for not knowing that they dont serve everything in the menu. THEN the server leaves to get himself some boba while we stayed behind with no waters or napkins. That was my last time there. I suggest if you go there, be prepared to practice PATIENCE and dont expect to have a server after the food is in front of you. Food is okay.

Had to write a review because I still cant get over how they treated a friend when we visited a while back.That and the vegetarian broth is made with meat??There was bugs in my friends soup.They made a mess out of it, when my friend was trying to be discreet and very forgiving of the obvious health hazard. Sadly, this was my first pho restaurant, and it went horribly. :/ Couldnt even finish my bowl that day.Couldnt really remember how my food tasted after the horrible customer service. The management handled the bug problem so poorly, that I doubt the A grade hanging on the window.Maybe Ill try pho someday.. elsewhere. I dont ever see myself returning here anytime soon.

Drove 35 minutes because we really like this place. Ordered are usual chicken pho bbq beef sandwich and some egg rolls. They were busy but had many young people taking orders. Pho came but it was the wrong order, then our order came after 15 minutes. Waited 15 more minutes and our BBQ beef sandwich and egg rolls had not arrived. Told our server who said it was coming. 25 minutes later and three more times the server kept apologizing and still no sandwich or egg rolls. The people who have written bad reviews about this place don’t understand and shouldn’t eat at authentic cuisines. I have been going to this place for a year now and Ocean pho has never disappointed me. Food is authentic and delicious, service is great, friendly staff, the small seating capacity is okay cause there’s lots of outdoor seating. Portions are good bang for your buck. The free WiFi is also something they recently got and it’s a godsend cause the WiFi in Mountain Grove plaza sucks!

This place is dishonest, we ordered tilapia which was on the menu, they said they were out so we asked if there was another fish dish thats available so the guy said yes broccoli and fish. When we got our order he gave chicken and broccoli, we ate it because we were hungry. When we got our receipt it said fish not chicken. Not coming back next time we will go the California fish grill next door its fresh honest and very good same prices and never out of fish.

The first thing I noticed about this placed is that its cramped. Ive been to plenty of restaurants that are small, but this is one of the few that also makes me feel cramped in a corner no matter where I am in the room. Their menu is huuuuugee. They have all sorts of Vietnamese dishes with other chinese inspired noodle dishes. Tons to choose from. Their pho is usually really good with nice helpings of meat! Try their durian shake if youre feeling adventurous. Banh mi sandwiches are bomb to go. They have tons of vegetarian friendly dishes --personally recommend their tofu and veggie ham with lemongrass!

I received the wrong order and had to go back to work Im when I called to let them know the cook answered and said that he was very sorry and he would make me another and that he would be there all week when I returned to get my order I could not pronounce the cooks name and the people standing in the front told Me that nobody works there With that name and I must have the wrong place how embarrassing embarrass me in front of tons of customers I would not lie about something like this I will never go back there again

Friendly staff but food was ok. The crispy tofu came with mayonnaise sauce, but it felt a little too greasy for my taste. If you order it, it would be better if you mix it with another sauce. I didnt actually take a picture of the pho, but it seemed a bit salty, so the overall food didnt suit my taste, so I had a disappointing lunch.
