This hidden gem is the best Thai food in San Diego county! We eat here almost every week. Authentic dishes (like the Somtam in the pic) and flavors, great smiling staff and affordable too! Try the Tom Kha soup is amazing balancing sweet coconut and lemongrass. The wait staff are very attentive and helpful. The restaurant itself has a nice cozy atmosphere with booths for privacy. They offer takeout as well. Highly recommended!

Best Thai food in North County 😋 I have NEVER had a bad meal here. Tonight I had Duck Chowmaein. Ample serving. Slices of duck are NOT paper thin like they are in other places. In fact there is so much food that I can Never finish the entire plate. The cost is reasonable. The service is 👍

Nice server and we all really enjoyed our meal! 2 of us ordered off the lunch menu and the portions were huge! Neither of us could finish... The other 2 loved their dishes too! The server even made me a Thai tea with coconut milk (instead of half and half) and it was sooo good!!It was a delicious stop for lunch and we would love to go back sometime.

Good friendly service and big portion on Beef noodles..Came for weekend take out mid afternoon and ordered bunch of stuff, ready in 15 minutes or so, thats what I call fast service.Enjoyed all the food: beef noodles soup $9.95, a big bowl with lots of beef, very filling and bean sprouts.Papaya salad, egg plants, spring rolls etc.Spicy level 7 is quite spicy.Prices reasonable. Good place.

Wow. Everything on the menu sounds amazing, so it was hard to choose just a few items.My date and I started with an order of chicken satay and spring rolls. Both excellent choices. The chicken is well marinated, tender, and flavorful, and the accompanying peanut sauce and sweet and spicy relish only complemented the meat. The rolls were fresh and crisp.The basil and garlic curry is perfectly spiced and served with plenty of meat. My date went with the steamboat, brought to the table literally steaming under foil. The mixed seafood inside was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was delicious.Service was prompt, polite, and friendly. Prices are reasonable for the relatively upscale atmosphere.

In a strip mall, not a very cozy place. Tom Kha soup was very tasty broth. Duck pad see ew was good. Green papaya salad was ok, not a lot of flavor. Red curry not great, very little red curry flavor.

This became a regular place for me to eat when I lived near Oceanside CA. They have good portion sizes and I was often able to take leftovers home with me. It’s a nice relaxing place to sit and eat even if it is a full house it normally stays pretty quiet. Good selection of appetizers and meals.

Had Thai food here for the first time, and I really liked it! I ordered the drunken noodles with the level 6 of spiciness. It was a pretty good sized dish, and not too crazily priced. I highly recommend that dish to any first team guests. The staff was extremely friendly, and very attentive. It doesnt get 5 stars from me because I wasnt completely blown away by the dish, but nonetheless I can still see myself coming back again to try more dishes!

Pad Thai is ok, but made with what looks like fettichini noodles and has an odd flavor that I cannot identify, might be from the oil used, but more than likely from a poorly cleaned pan that had remnants from the last dish. I have eaten all over South East Asia, including Pattaya and Singapore, and I have never had anything like this. They do have friendly service and prompt service though.

My 4 friends and I went to this restaurant on Vista Way the other day. Because it was my bd I wanted to treat my friends the appetizers as well as the ice cream desserts. The appetizers of spring rolls (wrapped by rice paper with vegetables and tofu inside) was a disappointment because it was mostly lettuce. Then the ice cream came as a very hugh scoop. They showed me the scoop first and I asked if it can come in a smaller scoop because we’re all pretty full from our lunch and ice cream is something that would be hard to take home. They said no that was it (not very accommodating). When we all got ready to pay they said with 5 people the gratuity is already added - that’s their policy they said. First of all if that’s their policy, they need to inform us ahead of time not to go ahead and figured in already without letting us know first. I asked everyone of my group how the food was that they ordered and the answer was mediocre, nothing special. I won’t be going back there again.

The pad Thai isn’t my favorite in the city but definitely in the top 5. Probably the best in north county. Their curries however, are absolutely on point. Perfectly emulsified, balanced flavors, not greasy like a lot of other Thai restaurants in the area. I also like that the tofu in the curries is steamed and not fried.The ambiance is great and the service was extremely pleasant. I believe our server’s name is Elle, very friendly and polite and was interacted adorably with our daughter. We will certainly be back.

To be clear, its a very nice environment. But, they cook backwards and so theres no flavor unless they use MSG. The dont add onions peppers and tomatoes to the dish until its done, so the onion is raw and tossed with the food. It looks fresh and big, but theres no flavor if you request no msg. compared to other Thai restaurants we go to, this was disappointing.

I dont know how to describe this place besides saying it is authentic. I know that word gets used too often, but its true. If you like Thai food, then this place does it right. My girlfriend and I love to go here when we get the chance. I like spicy food, but I only get a level 5 out of 10 when I order here. I am a man of routine, So I almost always get their curry. The consistency is great, always tastes the same and always fresh. The ingredients have never been poor, or poorly prepared. The wait staff has always been really kind and generous to us. Always happy and hard working. I always give them a good tip and if you plan on being a repeat customer, they always remember that gesture and treat you even better the next time. I think the atmosphere is really nice, personally I thought the elephants on the top shelf added to the feeling of the restaurant. The fishtank on the other hand reminds me too much of a healthcare facility.

The food here tasted fresh and delicious. The curry was flavorful and the spices range from 1 to 10. 1 is like an extremely mild and I dont even want to fathom 10. The Arnold Palmer are free refills so that made my night but what made my day was the service of the waitresses. My wife left her purse there and the waitress who served us waited there after closing the store for us to come pick it up. She even remember who we were. Probably one of the best restaurants in the area.

When I first walked in, a waitress greeted me and my 15 month old son and asked if I needed a booster and I said sure because that seems like the only option I had so I took it. We get sat down at a booth and I have a hard time having my son sitting in the booster wishing I had a high chair because my son is too young to know and understand the dangers of falling! Not to mention that the booster had absolutely NO SEATBELTS so I couldn’t secure him. Even though the waitresses see me struggling to have my child sit down, they don’t offer a high chair or assistance. I had no idea they had a high chair UNTIL my son fell from the booth into the metal stands and hit his head and then we went to the bathroom where I saw they had a bunch of high chairs!! It wasn’t until my son was bawling like crazy that the waitresses paid attention to us to help us. I paid and left no tip because I did not receive good customer service and I was so mad that my sons fall could have been prevented! He could have a concussion or serious injury that happened in this restaurant because of the lack of attention and care from the waitresses. When I left, this older waitress followed me out telling me I did not tip and I told her legally I don’t have to and I absolutely did not have a good time. What made me even more mad was that she didn’t even ask me why I didn’t have a good time. She was probably not there to see or hear my son cry but she just kept saying “you did not tip”. I know I didn’t tip and because she did not even ask me, I just told her I did not tip because I did not have a good time and legally I don’t have to pay gratuity. Overall I felt like a neglected customer and I was so mad ready to sue this restaurant if my sons injuries were more serious

Small portions for Thai cuisine, curry we had was mediocre. Tofu wasn’t fried, veggies weren’t crisp-tender, curry broth itself was less flavorful and creamy than I like. They must use more water and less coconut milk to cheapen it up. I’ll go elsewhere.

The best thai food I have ever had and believe me I have been to a lot of places in SoCal. Dont let the unassuming decor fool you because the food will certainly impress you if not their popular thai tea. I tried the basil and garlic stir fry and the drunken noodles. Both were top notch and I think it will be a while before I find a better place for thai than this.

The food and flavor is authentic and consistent every time.They have very good Tom yum & Tom ka and peanut sauce for spring rolls is the best Ive ever had.The portions have gotten slightly smaller over the years, but I dont think they have raised the prices hardly at all in 15 years.

Ordered Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, red and green curry. Both noodle dishes were dry and tastless. The green curry was disgusting. Never before seen lime green colored chicken in a green curry before. Little strip-mall restaurant with the best Thai food around. I love their yellow curry! And the vegan spring rolls -- so pretty! Its casual dining at its best with great service and plenty of food. Mom loves their skewered chicken and that peanut sauce is divine. A little touch of Thai heaven in Oside! Try the fried banana in crispy pastry for dessert. We loved it. The green curry was as good as any high end Thai and my wife loved the pad thai.

This restaurant was too expensive for the quality and quantity of food. A large coconut soup for $13 didnt even come with a side of rice and had scarce ingredients and dry chicken despite being soaked in broth. The shrimp spring rolls had 1 1/2 shrimps per roll and the chicken wings are over $1 per wing and tasted microwaved. Overpriced and mediocre.

This was my 1st time getting thai food in California & ordered in person to go. I ordered the chicken phad thai. When I recieved it ($18.00) I had it as soon as I got home and I was super unsatisfied! It was all chopped up, mushy, no extra sauce or extra flavor in the mix like Im used to. I had 3 bites and threw the whole thing out. No flavor, chopped like a salad, and no dress/sauce on the side or even on it. Also no spice whatsoever, not even a hint of spice. Mushy, bland, and the worst takeout ive had in a long time! If I ordered through doordash I would have at least got my money back for whatever that meal was.

We telephoned ahead to find out if they had dine-in eating, which they were so we headed over. WRONG! Oh, you could eat in as long as you wore your mask the entire time except for when your food was in front of your mouth and you sign their contact-tracing sheet. They didn’t mention any of this on the telephone. We were frustrated and left. Since we had a 20 minute drive home, we decided to order takeout. The most boring fried rice and yellow curry I’ve ever had. The yellow curry had almost no taste. I asked for medium spicy, and it was completely bland. The fried rice was super sweet as was the wonton soup. The wontons had been in the broth a very long time and the noodle part of the wonton was all but mush. Even the white rice was undercooked. We won’t be back.

I always like this place when I am craving for a Thai food, and its once in a blue moon when I do. I just wish that that they dont over cook their noodles for a Chow mien..a little el dente would be perfect and a little watery this time I ordered supposed to be dry since its Chow Mein..Otherwise I would have cook them better, The taste is good atleast. The restaurant is very clean but that is where it ends for me. The pad thai tastes like fettucini con ketchup. Tom kha is absolutely flavorless. Drunken noodle was totally lack luster, blah might be a better word. The green curry.... um, I wont even go there.
