** Pro tip: This place fills up really fast since the seating is very limited. So early to secure a place as it closes early too.Will review our entire order from the 1st received to the last.Miso Soup: Decent flavor. Good to start with on a cold day.Avocado Maki (6 pcs)Simple avocado roll. Nothing special.Big Daddy MakiLittle bland compared to some of the other ones. But really flavorful tofu curd.Mango and Asparagus rollHas a strong asparagus flavor. Good bite to it.The chef sauce is really nice.Veggie On FireA little spicy. But very close to spice veggie roll. Absolutely delicious.Loved both the Spicy mayo and the sriracha sauce. The entire combination comes really well together.Spicy Veggie Roll:The avocado and tofu filling along with the spicy mayo and paprika with black sesame seeds and lightly deep fried just oozes flavors in your mouth.The warm sushi just melts in your mouth with a slight bite to it. Absolutely must try.

Kind, attentive and quick service- but average food.There are a lot of vegan and vegetarian options on the menu, which is much appreciated! However, these options are either similarly priced or more expensive than the regular sushi options. There’s really no reason why vegetables should cost more than fish. The specialty rolls are priced similarly to those at shizen, but don’t taste as good.That being said, it’s a an aesthetic spot with a lot of people of foot traffic!

First time visiting Oh Baby Sushi and I must say that I absolutely loved it! Everything was so fresh and every bite was like an explosion of flavors.I am someone who doesnt like sushi at all but this is one of the two places (second one being Shizen SF) where I absolutely loved sushi.We got the following:1. Spicy veggie roll - Highly recommend2. Veggie tiger roll - Highly recommend3. Veggie on fire roll - decent but probably would try something else next time4. Nice little neighborhood sushi spot! Busy at 7pm on a Sunday but we were able to walk in and grab a a table. Highly recommend the oh baby roll and creamy scallop roll - melt in your mouth! Gyoza was fresh and hot. The watermelon juice you could tell was homemade. Quick service for being really busy!They have a few tables indoors and more tables outdoors. Lots of parking. You order via a QR code on the table and serve yourself water and also pay online so you barely interact with the staff.

This was the first time ever of me trying Sushi, and boy I wasnt disappointed. Amazing vegan options of sushi and absolutely delicious. Big daddy is the must have, followed by Vegetarian Tiger Roll. They have great side options too like Edamame and Veggie Tempura. Had some freshly squeezed watermelon juice as well. Will definitely visit again

The ginger and the wasabi were not fresh. Ginger was dry, and it felt like I was eating paper. Gyoza was decent. Mango salmon roll lacked the mango flavor. For some reason, I was having a hard time swallowing these rolls. The waiter was nice, but when we needed his attention, we didnt get any, and when we didnt need any, we got a lot of attention from him. Felt a bit expensive for the quality of food.

For vegans this is really the best sushi in the bay area. Lots of flavors and food comes out very fast. The restaurant is pretty tiny and crowded. You might find your table sticky, but you can ask them to clean it. Overall we enjoyed it. The price is average, maybe a bit too expensive for what we ordered.

Mind blowing sushi ! What a burst of flavors😍😍 never had such good sushi. The veggie tiger roll was brilliant. The staff was super nice too. We got complementary sushi because of the long wait (not too long for free sushi.. we waited for like 30 min on a Sunday night dinner)

We went to Oh Baby Sushi on the weekend right before they closed for dinner and it was great! We service was really quick and we ordered 4 rolls: the Spicy Veggie, the Mango Asparagus, the Veggie on Fire and Veggie Tiger. We liked all of them except the Mango Asparagus - it was tasty but just felt out of place with the other 3 since it was a bit sweeter/tangy with the mango on top. Oh Baby Sushi is our favourite for vegetarian and vegan options but just keep in mind that each set of 8 pieces is $16.95 - not the cheapest but great for an occasional sushi craving! Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the veggie menu.

Craving sushi I found this place on maps and Oh Baby they did not disappoint. First off the people are super nice. There was a great vibe from the staff and the way the seating was arranged felt very welcoming. Secondly, I was surprised by the vegetarian selection given it was sushi place. Their spicy vegetarian roll is a must try as its unique to them. But overall their flavors and textures were on point and kudos to the presentation. I would highly recommend giving them a shot but with the caveat that we were looking specifically for a place that had more elaborate non-traditional rolls. There was another place we were considering but they seemed more traditional sashimi style which was something we were not looking for at the time. Regardless, Im sure you wont be disappointed with this place. Highly recommend and I cant wait to come back and try more of their extensive selection.

Very disappointing sushi place. They refuse to do substitutions. I am a vegetarian allergic to avacados, and literally has only a couple of options. The big daddy and veggie bomb roll were quite average. Have had much better vegetarian sushi in lots of places in Bay Area. The vegetarian ramen was very spicy at medium spice level. Don’t understand the high prices when the place was an average sit down.

As vegans this is our to go spot for sushi take outs! Lots of plant based options, almost all of them worth trying! 😍 If you like spicy food - add a ‘spicy in and out’ option to your roll to make it literally perfect!Edit: we recently went to Shizen - well known vegan sushi restaurant in San Francisco and honestly we didn’t like almost any of their rolls (tried 4 and some appetizers), so this is still our favorite spot. 🩷

Recommended to reserve on maps, we called them up around their opening hours, but we were told walk-in should be just fine. I would still recommend to reserve during later in the day as it got pretty busy really quick after we sat down.They have a small outdoor seating area and a compact area with 6-7 tables inside. The service staff was really kind and helped us answering questions about their comprehensive menu options.We ordered spicy garlic edamame, jalapeno bomb to start off with and both were great. Would recommend their garlic edamame over the regular ones.For the main course, Spicy veggie roll(MUST TRY as per their menu) worked well for us indeed along with Veggie rolls on fire(I had initially thought they were one of those sushis on Fire, but its not). Its in fact their house-made spicy sauce and was top notch. To complement the food, we had a mango lemonade which I was trying for the first time, it was well above average.Overall a great comfort food option, and I will definitely revisit for their salmon sushis next time. :)

We went here for lunch after getting great recommendation from my friend and I should say we weren’t disappointed. We ordered spicy vegetarian roll (it wasn’t spicy), cucumber avacado crunch and broccoli tempura roll and all of them were outstanding. This is one of the few sushi places in the bay where I’d prefer having the vegan sushi rather than the seafood options. Definitely give the spicy veggie roll a try. It’s amazing and I’ve never tried anything like it before. The other vegan sushi’s are decent.

We went in on a Friday evening around 7pm expecting a line but the wait time was 5-10 minutes. For vegetarians, we had agedashi tofu, spicy veggie roll, call me nuts and veggie on fire and they were all quite good! The spicy veggie roll is quite heavy / tempura-ed so if you order that, portion accordingly because it is not as light as some of the other rolls.Service was ok- we did not have someone come in to take our order for a while, they messed up one of our orders, they forgot to give us the ginger and wasabi and the check out process was not seamless as they took all our cards at the table and processed it one by one

This place was a pleasant find. It was relatively packed when we came around 6 but were able to get a seat within 15 minutes. The food was very flavorful, though there was a heavy use of spicy mayo sauce. Portion sizes were great for the price, which was on the pricier end. Service was relatively fast (10 min for the sushi, 15-20 for the sushi). Would not seek out actively but did enjoy the visit.

My family just loves Oh Baby Sushi! Of course we all have our favorite dishes, but I suspect you will love anything that you order here. And they offer REAL wasabi!! Such a treat!!Its also a wonderful treat not to have to fix dinner some days. They are often incredibly busy, and dont take reservations, There can be quite a backup of people waiting for takeout as well as for a table. Theyve raised their prices, and perhaps that will thin the crowd a bit?Theyve updated their menu, and included new drinks, as well as some cocktails! Unfortunately, like many restaurants, they are using QR code menus that you need to read and order via your phone. They do still have paper menus, but they are not current and you will miss quite a few offerings if you dont use the QR code.Also, If you use a wheelchair, it might be a bit awkward and perhaps impossible for indoor seating, But they do also have outdoor seating which might work just fine. I would recommend calling first to find out how wheelchair friendly the restaurant is. To me it looks small and tight for getting around. There is disabled parking very close by.Oh Baby Sushi is also reasonably kid friendly. Ive seen strollers parked at outside tables, but the space is pretty tight. There are a few items on a childrens menu.

Very bad experience with vegetarian and vegan food. Miso soup they served was almost cold. We asked for hot water and it was smelling bad, to know later that they used green tea cups. Also their portion size is small compared to other sushi restaurants.

A fun sushi place with a huge selection. They have a good selection of tuna and salmon and a fun twist of contemporary flavors. Sushi combo is a good safe bet. Only feedback is that the quality of the fish and the price point seemed very high. 3 dishes can cost over $100 including tip which was a but surprising.

What a great little find. Well we didnt quite find it ourselves, a friend had been reaching about it, so we decided to try one day after work. It was worth the drive from mountain view to redwood City.Its small and popular so its best to get there early.The rolls were good, and done get put off by the fusion. Thats what makes them so good. The way they have brought various flavors together is great. You get the umami. One bite and youll taste the sweet, salty, sour and spicy.Definitely order based on your preference, its all good

The Udon is really good here, big noodles, lots of flavor and options. Other food pretty good too, but there are some things dont make this restaurant a top go to dinning spot for me.Dine in is mediocre with OK service. If you like cramped in dining, you wont mind, but its not my thing.Take out isnt predictable. They say 30 - 60 minutes depending on what day. Sometimes its pretty quick, so plan on getting there early if you want your food hot. Expect to wait without a lot of interaction with the service.

We were a party of six arriving at different times (15 minute gap between first and last). They were nice enough to give us a table early, but seemed to start punishing us for not arriving together afterwards. The server kept saying This is the last time Im accommodating this, guys and overall felt a little hostile while keeping a smile on his face. Then, we were punished by being made to wait for our order while everyone who came after us got their food. Towards the last 15 minutes of closing time, another server came in and told us that they leave for lunch in 15 minutes, while we were still waiting for our food and we got our last dish served 5 minutes before that deadline. The food was decent but I felt pressured the whole time eating there.

Service was really bad. The waiter was upset at my group because we had 2 in our party come late and we asked for an additional table to accommodate them. This was our bad, my friends were really apologetic for this, but the service staff was not having it.1. First, he intentionally *slammed* the additional table onto ours. Our group looked up at him startled and he raised his hands up and shrugged. Yikes.2. Later, he came to our table and told us this was a one-time accomodation and he will not do it again. Our full party was seated by 12.45PM and our first plate of rolls only arrived at 1.30PM. The two tables after us had their dishes served first.4. The waitress came to our table and told us at 1.54PM that they were closing at 2PM and that we had to leave by then. Because service was so slow, this happened BEFORE our last plate of rolls arrived. They basically expected us to finish our last dish in 5 minutes.I honestly think that the service staff was trying to punish my group for our table request for the duration of our dining experience.

Located in Redwood city, this gives a getaway vibe if you live in busy city life. Loved the vegetarian sushi here. We ordered “Call me Nuts” that was yummmy and also ordered some other vegetarian fried tempura sushi. Best sushi spot around, and Ive been to them all. You cant get any better.The Chirashi bowl has a bit of spice so if youre into a classic, ask for it without the oil. Huge bowl. Perfect cuts of fish.Tempura is crispy, not greasy. Miso is solid too. We walked in 15 minutes before close and Nate was more than gracious. Hes great. The place is always packed but the service is still awesome.

Came to Oh Baby Sushi on a Sunday night. The place was very busy but I was able to grab a seat for one at the sushi bar. It’s a little tight at the bar with all the to go orders being picked up and prepped at the bar but not that bad. I had the omakase and I thought it was priced reasonably for what you get. I wasn’t used to getting it all at once but it came on a nice stone platter and I was happy with the fish. I definitely could have ate more but like I said, I think it was fairly priced. A lot of their rolls look good too and I probably should have ordered one to go with the omakase.

Sushi was good, though not the best I had. 4.6 star average rating for this place is way too high.Apart from the food, the interior is very messy and didnt look very clean. Also it was very cold inside, so I was sitting with my hat, scarf and jacket on. One star purely for an extremely rude server for a pick up order I came in for. Told him a certain name which couldn’t be located, gave him the alternate name it would show up under as well as my phone for the online order receipt. He turned hostile and argumentative enough to say that he can’t identify the pickup seeing the online recipient which is odd - what are the odds 20 seconds he comes back out with my order - he was either temp or just not trained enough - either way terrible customer service. THIS IS THE PLACE YOU SHOULD GO FOR SUSHI. All of their rolls and other dishes are amazingly delicious, the fish is as fresh as it could possibly be, and the variety of options is extensive. Fair warning that the price is higher than most Bay Area sushi restaurants, but it is so worth it. If you are celebrating an event, or just want a really good dinner, this is the place.

The only downside about that is when I ordered a California Crunch. It had quite a bit of sauce, and the dish wasnt very well made so the sauce ended up dripping onto the table. You get three pieces which I didnt really have a problem with but the quality of the fish was not good. The sashimi wasnt fresh, and the fish didnt taste good at all. I thought the fish was dry. Its a sushi restaurant, so I would expect your raw fish to be at least decently good and this was disappointing.Overall, as much as I loved the service and quantity of food, the quality was just not there. Nice local sushi place. The food is good, a bit on the expensive side I thought. If youre going at a popular time be prepared for a line. The restaurant itself is fairly small and it can get pretty loud inside.

My favourite place to go for sushi. Warrior Roll, 49er Roll, and Oh Baby Rolls are personal favourites, but THERE ARE NO BAD OPTIONS. Worth the wait and just as delicious to-go!

Completely lost my large Sunday night takeout dinner order - major hassle after waiting 45 minutes for nothing. Tiny place and its always crazy crowded with only 8 tables but the food is good (expensive, but good sushi usually is) so they dodged a 1-star review. But I doubt Ill ever return after my family getting burned.

Get here early it gets crowded and the food is worth it. Order a selection of fish nigiri and have tried the ramen and udon. Service was quick and and pleasant even when it started to get packed. Highly recommend.
