This was my first time at a Korean BBQ. The place was very busy and quite noisy. Being hard of hearing, it made it difficult for me to understand the people at my table, so it was hard for me to grasp the concept at first. Now that I understand how everything works, I would probably order differently and have a better experience next time. Seemed like most people in the restaurant were enjoying themselves. I would give the place another shot.

This was our second time visiting Ohgane BBQ. To say this place was disappointing is an understatement. The popcorn chicken was soft. Like they took frozen popcorn chicken from Costco and microwaved it. Totally disgusting. We also ordered the spicy french fries and while the sauce was good, the fries were limp and pathetic.For meats I will give them credit that the beef bulgogi was 9/10 but I dont know a single that can make bulgogi taste bad. The other meats were grisly, chewy, and fatty. It felt like they were serving the cheapest meats they could find to us. My wife loves Korean BBQ and eats more than I do and even she couldnt finish the meats we ordered.The restaurant was also quite dirty. When they put fresh grills on, they would bubble with leftover meat from previous cooks. Im not sure if this is normal, but Ive never noticed it at other Korean BBQ places. Ill edit my review after we go to another Korean BBQ next week to see if this is normal. But it looked gross and dirty.We were delivered the dishes other tables ordered multiple times. In total we received 5 dishes that we didnt order and the server was gone before we noticed. We were eating during a shift change so that may have contributed to it, but I need to document it since it hasnt happened to us at other places.I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Its more expensive than other, better Korean BBQ places.

I dont usually like to cook when Im paying to go out to eat, but the experience was pleasantly surprising. I went with my girlfriend for the first time and we didnt do so bad. Food choices were yummy and our server was very amicable. Loved that Mango Soju also. We will definitely be back

Fair prices, great selection/ variety of food, fun atmosphere, and good layout.They make it easy to bbq if you have food allergies, also. No gluten-free sauces, fyi, but tons of options to season in other ways.So much fun and highly recommend for small groups! Theyll even swap out the grill for you if needed.

This place made me and the people I went with violently ill. Never vommited so much in my life. You cook your own food, so maybe our fault but everything was cooked thouroughly (we overcooked and burned most of the meat), and Ive been to Korean BBQ many times and have never gotten sick. Overall the resturaunt is pretty dingy, especially in the back room, and everything feels greasy to the touch. Bathrooms also unclean.

Typical Korean BBQ! nothing special here. The service was not that great - pretty rude and lack of patience by the staff. People need to take a few minutes to look at the menu and not rush to order something they might regret later! Ordered Korean Tofu soup and it took them until we finished our food!Would I go there again? Probably not!

Went here for dinner on a hot day. The food was good, but the temperature inside the restaurant was way too hot for comfort. I went to the restroom and there were 2 women in there trying to avoid the heat as it seemed to be the coolest room in the restaurant.Would come back, but not until weather cools off.

Food was great, drinks were great. The only thing I didnt like was being rushed to pay and leave. We were still enjoying our food and drinks even after a couple hours and rushed to finish it after being told they wanted to sit other people there. Ive been to other Oghane locations and and never been rushed out like that. Probably wont come back to this location.

Excellent place for meat eaters! Meat is cooked by the customer at the table but there are some tasty options for pescatarians and vegetarians too. Their soft tofu soup is yummy. The constant hum of the fans is a bit annoying at first but necessary when everyone is cooking at their table!

I wanted to try Korean BBQ for the first time ever tonight, so I showed up to Ohgane BBQ at 530pm, but they refused to seat me as a single diner, saying parties of two or more was their dining in policy. So I said goodbye to my craving for Korean BBQ and walked next door to Kansai Sushi, because their sushi is outstanding, and they treat every customer with appropriate appreciation. I get that any restaurant can refuse any patron for whatever reason, but I will probably try another Korean BBQ first before going back here, if ever, because of this incident. Sorry, Ohgane, I cant give more than two stars when you are a restaurant but refuse to seat me for dinner. :(

This is a very good ayce kbbq in Concord. Price is reasonable. The meat came out fast. The quality of meat is surprisingly good since it’s ayce. They have basic kbbq sauces on the table for convenience. Side dishes are delicious and we kept asking for more. The place is always busy and had long line on Tuesday night.

I love Korean Barbecue but generally dont like the small portions and high prices. However, Ohgane is an awesome location that offers all-you-can-eat, great variety and a really modern atmosphere.Firstly, Ohgane isnt your typical restaurant. I literally felt like it was an arcade or I was eating inside an active pinball machine. I thought it introduced a very new, modern and fun version of Korean Barbecue.I will also say that my husband and mother do not get full easily and it was exciting to see how they both were so satisfied by the end of their meals. We tried several different dishes and made it up to three rounds of food. The best recommendations and table favorites for protein include: shrimp, LA ribs and Hawaiian pork belly.The experience was very fun, exciting and delicious. Definitely worth it!

Not a good experience, we went during lunch on a Sunday...needless to say it was packed. We usually go to GenQ and wanted to try something different. Just go to GenQ. They sat us in some basement backroom/storage area past the kitchens that strongly smells like mold. They have like two servers for like 40-50 people in that little backroom, so they never check on you. They dont bring your order and you just get bored waiting /asking. Why am I eating in a basement for +$30?

First time trying Korean cuisine.. It was a lot of food for a fair price of $26 per person. keep ordering till you are full and no u cant take leftovers home and you pay $40 per table for leftovers. So order right and what you can eat.A lot of meat and seafood. Minimum of 2 persons allowed.

The best bang for your buck? Hell yeah. The whole fam is vaxxed, so we went out to our first indoor fam dining at Ohgane. They’ve got the great table dividers, hand sanitizer all around, fans (lots and lots of fans), and open doors to get constant fresh airflow. I was all about it. Safety first. Woot.Having been to their Alameda location, and now Concord’s as well…my preference is still Alameda on cleanliness and attentiveness. Food is solid. I noticed there were a handful of additional *new* items at the Concord location, which I hadn’t seen in Alameda’s. Tofu stew was a bit more bland here too. Otherwise, you’ve got your meats and seafood galore.P.S. ask for the ssamjang sauce. We asked for it so many times that the server ended up giving a plate full to our table bahah happy saucin!

Since Korean BBQ isn’t about cooking per-say; one expects the facility to be well equipped to support the experience. This place has its tables very tightly appointed causing it to look crowded. It’s Noisy (exhaust fans, utensils, servers, customers). Smoke accumulates so the noisy fans probably not working the way they’re supposed to. Their kimchi servings are limited.ALSO, their website shows $29 per head for eat all you can but the menu says $33.OverallMENH.

Previously 5 star, but the banchan takes up a lot of room and the salt/pepper comes in an oily bottle with no spare dish to use for dipping meat. Makes for a less enjoyable cooking experience trying to get room for anything more than 2 or 3 dishes and then waiting to order more.

Ohgane is a chain AYCE (all you and eat) Korean bbq. Ive been to Oakland, Alameda, and this one. I prefer going to this Korean bbq chain rather than the one starting with a G because I feel like the quality is blmuch better. Im not too thrilled about the cost for children though. My 3 year old cost $17, he hardly ate. I think the children all you can eat price should be much lower. The adult rates are decent. These ohgane chains are normally clean and the waiters are very helpful, changing out the grills when they notice it getting burnt. The chain that starts with a G normally has younger party goers and can get rowdy. I feel like the service is more organized at Ohgane chains.

If you’re a lone diner interested in the a la carte, not ayce menu, you are not welcomed. 20% if the tables are free and was told there were no seats available. The waitlist was empty. Glad there are other wonderful and welcoming Korean restaurants in the area. This one just isn’t interested in service & hospitality at the door. Can’t imagine how they run their kitchen.

My overall experience was ok. Recommend the hawaiian pork belly. Food came out on time, and our server frequently changed our grill and it was CLEAN! Aside from the cheesy neon lights, I was not too fond of the crowd that came in.When I was ready to pay, the owners were accusing a group behind us about not paying and they had a little altercation. Our server was no where to found so we had to just sit and watch while these people argue trying to walk out on the owner and the poor lady trying to get them to pay.Other than that situaution, I wouldnt see why they wouldnt be 5 stars in my opinion. I think they are better than most Korean BBQ around the area.

Only bad thing was the table was slightly dirty/greasy when we were seated. The restaurant also has poor air circulation and it was suffocating and hot in there. Sat in the back of the restaurant where they have room for big groups. This was my first experience cooking my own food….it was ok. The service was pretty good and the price was reasonable. The reason for the 3 star rating is the room got really smoky at one point from another table whose food caught on fire on the grill - the ventilation system is not that great. Also two of the grills on our table were really slow to cook. I would definitely go back to try a different experience sitting in the front section of the restaurant where the smaller groups sit.

This is the best all you can eat to Korean barbecue in the East Bay area at least Contra Costa County. I know that they also put a gun in Pleasant Hill conquered but this place is much better and the service was really great and I know that it isnt easy. The quality of meats is 4/5 and for the price, service and convenience of this place, its my go to spot.

I go to Ohgane in Concord often and I must say its always a great experience! The food is very good quality, always tastes fresh and delicious. Theyre always full of customers for a reason, however there is never too much of a wait time. The staff is very friendly and they have buttons you can push at the tables just in case you need the server before they check up on you again. If you havent tried Ohgane I highly recommend!

Always super busy. We do not go to the place when we are super hungry- the wait sometimes is over an hour.We reached here well before our dinner time and thankfully this place was not so busy. Our wait time was about 15 mins. The staff are super friendly, the place is clean and nice.The only reason for my 3 star is the restrooms. The restroom was so dirty that I almost threw up as I entered it. Please have that cleaned up frequently.

Our group of friends found this place by accident a few years ago and have been returning regularly ever since! Its a great KBBQ spot with enough space to host our large groups (sometimes 6, sometimes 16...). The menu is extensive and they have some great options you wont find at other spots. Staff is attentive enough to keep on top of your orders but not be overbearing, helpful if needed, and will take care of the grill if it needs attention. Food quality here has always been great as well, dont hesitate to visit! The only downside of note is that it can get a little loud and smokey from the grills on very busy evenings.

If you want to visit on a weekend, Id recommend making a reservation a few hours in advance.However, I do have one complaint about their short ribs. They were not butchered correctly so they were very tough and mostly gristle. But all their other meats were excellent!

The first time I went here was during the week for lunch and I would have given it 5 stars. The staff was attentive and polite, but the second time is another story. My partner is going away for business and we wanted to spend our last dinner together at this lovely restaurant because we love it and rarely spoil ourselves.The maximum amount of time a patron can spend there is 2 hours. Well, 45 of those minutes were spent waiting on someone to take our order. We wentthrough four separate servers and only one could complete our final order.The original server spent more time checking on the customers in front of us who were there before us and even cleared their table throughout the dinner but didnt touch our table once in 2 hours. Those patrons left about 10 minutes before us and we still waiting for someone.A tall young man stopped by to pick up the bill and instead I said we werent done. I said we would like two more items and then we would take the bill. We waited and at one point decided to stop one of the four waiters who had previously helped us. He said it wasnt ordered and grabbed it immediately.

I’ve been to Ohgane in the past and really enjoyed their food and quick service.However, I booked a reservation for 10 people today. It was so loud on the other end we had trouble hearing each other but I thought it got booked in the end. Then I showed up and they didn’t have it down and said we had to wait at the bottom of the list!Pretty disappointing and frustrating as this was supposed to be a get together with family who traveled to California for a wedding. Ohgane really needs to allow people to book online to avoid confusion.

Ive been there several times before.We were shown to a room that had no windows, was all the way in the back around a corner, walked in there was a wall of smoke. It was hotter than it was outdoors. I was sweating. I was getting light headed.Partner asked if I was okay, I said no and went to get the hostess. I told her it was extremely hot and I couldnt breathe, very politely.She goes in the most patronizing and snotty way, oh Im *so* sorry and stares at me, doesnt offer us different seating. I think the host should advise the guest about going to the back. While walking, walk carefully because the floors is slippery from oils/grease. Called in to ask if there was no wait time. They said no and it wasn’t busy. Yet we arrived mins later and it was packed with 30 mins wait time. Decided to stay and be patient but we were greated with a dirty table. You can also tell that meat and other stuff still remain on the grill from previous customers. Vibe was very chaotic. Bus boys are spilling and dropping everything on the floor. Food took forever to come out. Meat was not acceptable quality at all (chewy and smelly). And when we paid our bill. They handed us 2 probiotic drinks that you can cleary smell had gone bad already (threw that away). All and all. We waited longer than we sat down to eat. Meat, and more meat...and some other stuff. Went there with a group of guys...definitely got our moneys worth. Quality of meat seemed high and theyll continue to bring as long as you eat it. 3 things to considerations: 1) If you have people in your group who dont eat red meat (and others that do), they will starve...there is no safe place on the grill for veggies (or shrimp) that wont get the juices from the meat on them; 2) if the idea of placing raw chicken on the grill with tongs and them immediately removing other cooked food with those same tongs freaks you out...then ask for an extra set of tongs; 3) If youre directly in front of the grill then you are the cook; 4) Although there are commercial range hoods above each grill the place is quite smokey...and greasy. Youll notice the floor is slick with grease...and any phones left face up will get a coating of grease from the air (so the same goes for any clothes you are wearing). These are only considerations...not intended as warnings. Ohgane is a great outing for groups, just know youll be full and smell like smoke afterwards.

This place was pretty awesome. There are two options you can get when you come here, either the unlimited BBQ or regular order off the menu. The unlimited BBQ tables fill up quick so be sure to come here early if you want it. The lunch price for the unlimited BBQ is much cheaper, but doesnt have some meat options available during lunch time. The regular menu was still very tasty, seems like a shorter wait. The meat is cooked for you so thats a plus and the portion sizes are huge! The lunch combo came with so much food, had to take some home. The spicy pork, beef, and pork belly were all tasty. If going for bibimbap, still a solid choice. The decor inside almost seemed like a nightclub, which some might like, some might not like so much.

We like to do the a la carte BBQ when were at Ohgane. The meat quality is much better than the AYCE. Meat quality is stellar. This part weekend we ordered the LA galbi, bulgogi, and pork belly. The marinade for the beef are great. Sweet and savory. Delicious. The pork belly is nice and lean. You can see the thin layers of fat in between the lean pork meat. Crispy it up over the grill and dip it in the salt n pepper sesame oil mixture. Drooling just thinking about it.They have really delicious and plentiful banchans. The servers come around to refill them and waters often.5 stars for the food. 4 stars for the decor because the floor is a little slippery with all the grease from the grilling. Please be careful!

Food is great and is a bit more diverse than Gens and they seat you quickly. 3 star rating because unless theyre writing it down, you have to keep reminding the servers of what you asked for at least 2 times before you get what you want; even if its just a glass of water. They have call buttons that chime when you press em, but either they cant hear them from the back or theyve learned to tune it out because nobody has ever attended to my table when I would press it. Pretty much a typical AYCE Korean BBQ. Lots of meat choices, some seafood and some vegetable choices. They had one type of mushroom and did have zucchini. The duck was too dry once cooked.They swap out the grills often which is nice and it reduces the smoke. The best Items I had were the short ribs and the marinated steak which are steak cubes that were very tender once grilled. My family had a beautiful and heart-warming dining experience at Ohgane Korean BBQ on Sunday Night. Not only was staff curteous in serving the tasty and lovely looking food and seeing to our contentment throughout our meal, but they truly awed me with their kindness, compassion and helpfulness in a late and dirty situation afterwards. The restaurant was shutting down for the night and people were getting off work, yet remained to help my tearful daughter attempt to locate a blue plastic gum box holding earrings. We were so surprised that not only 1 but 4 staff, all ages, joined in to help in whatever way they could to narrow down the potential whereabout of this little girls box. The crew handed us gloves and lead us in the direction of the outside bins. From there they assisted, doting gloves and good thoughts while moving trash from one receptacle to the other until all the trash recepticles had been overturned. One or two young men actually climbed into the bin to help locate the collection of bags from the day. What kindness and great heroism if you ask us! We found the item, and though not in the trash, it really feels quite good knowing there are great people like your staff around who will go there with you and show they care even when the rest of the world may not! Worst service ever. First they took forever to ask us our drink choices, forever to take our order, passed the table multiple times without checking in. We had to hunt them down just to get our check. Worst money spent
