Oishi Sushi is my go to spot when I’m in the mood for sushi. The fish is so fresh and is the best quality you will find at this price point! I love that they have low carb no rice options (the Pink Lady is my favorite). The staff are also so friendly and warm! I absolutely love my experience every time I eat at Oishi!

Best Nigiri Ive had at this price point. A lot of locations will charge more for worse fish. I went with the chefs choice Nigiri Special and wowee was this a flavorful & fresh spread of sushi. I will be returning.

This was the best food let alone sushi I ever had in my life. I work in Glendale at Mercedes and I always wanted to come here as I pass by it everyday. Today I had time and decided to give it a try. I was greeted with such friendly waitresses and the kind head Chef said hello to us before he began to prep the meal. I ordered the udon, popcorn lobster roll as well as the amazing fried tuna onion roll. It was the best I ever had as the quality of fish is top notch and it will literally melt in your mouth. Perfect date spot or for casual lunch guests like me. I did will rate this as the best sushi restaurant in the world! (Ive been to Japan and korea) I will recommend Oishi Sushi to everyone and I will keep coming here regularly!!!! Sushi and service is bar none the best!!!

The fish, the ambience, the staff, the noise level, everything is just perfect place for a get-together.The quality of sushi is amazing, we had 8 person and shared most of food.if you comes along with 1-2 person, try Oishi tower roll and yellow tail/salmon carpaccio. I never found this tastes any other than in this place

That fish was fresh as fresh can get, but to much distraction for their dish presentation. Save on cost with less radish and that flower thing. Id recommend trying to embrace that concept of elegant simplicity, for the food and menu (way to many things imo)

We ordered almost everything on their menu, and it was absolutely delicious. Fish was so fresh, rice to fish ratio was perfect, and the sauce wasn’t overpowering. My favorite was the jumbo scallop, which they source from Japan, and their halibut is also to die for. I’ve both dined in here and ordered catering, and every time they exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!

Stopped here for dinner last night. Definitely didn’t think that the portions would be as filling as they were. The 911 roll has a slow tick spicy kick, it’s addictive. The dragon roll was so good, I had to convince myself to save some for leftovers. The red dragon roll was amazing as well.My girlfriend got the kaki udon soup, and oh boy was that a HUGE bowl. Broth was great, noodles slapped.I’ll be back. Highly recommend this to any sushi fans. Try something new, I did and I wasn’t disappointed. :)

We ordered a catering service through Oishi Sushi for the Fourth of July and we were very satisfied with the quality of sushi and rolls. The fish was fresh when it arrived at our residence and everyone complimented on our choice of catering. Will order through Oishi Sushi again in the near future!

LEGIT the best sushi I’ve ever had. I’ve been to Japan multiple times and this is truly on par or even better. We went with a large group and everyone was raving how they can’t wait to come back. The owners were so personable as well and they were telling us how they get a fresh catch every day. I have never written a google review, but I felt compelled to tell everyone how good it was. Number one recommendation!!!

We dined here for the first time and ordered a lot of drinks and had food. We immediately didn’t like 2 plates, and when we asked for it to be taken back and off the bill, the head chef came to our table yelling at us for not liking the 2 plates! He was absolutely rude and verbally aggressive. He finally backed off and became more respectful when I finally yelled at him. I said I was sorry I did not like the plates but I also shouldn’t have to apologize for not liking them. Customers sending plates back for not liking the food is common in the restaurant industry. He was completely out of line how he spoke to us. This is the first and last time we will dine here. I don’t care what position you are in or even the owner. You never speak to customers that way. As a male, you ESPECIALLY do not have any place to intimidate, speak disrespectfully, or be verbally aggressive towards a woman.On a side note, the server Lea was absolutely wonderful. Very attentive and very respectful.

Literally sitting outside of this restaurant now to inform if you’re trying to come sit down and eat around 930pm...DONT! we walk in & they just told us that the kitchen closes at 10 so hurry to pay meter;so I ran outside to pay the meter really quick she says “ok”! but as my gf sits down she says “close at 10....take out?” She says “no, we would like to sit down”, she stares at her in confusion then says “take out close at 10” so we just left (pic taken at 958pm; so you don’t get your hopes up to be here before 1030pm)

We visited this restaurant hoping for a good meal. We sat down, looked over the menu, and when we were ready to order, the waitress told us there would be $2 extra for any beef order. There was nothing indicated on the menu or in the restaurant for this price increase. We agreed to it anyway.When the food came, to our surprise, they only gave a very thin slice of beef with the meal. We also ordered salmon and it came like a sushi thin slice of salmon teriyaki.We were so disappointed. They charge so much and offer so little. A great disappointment!By the way, we still tip them.

I used to come to this location where it was Sushi on Brand. Was my favorite underrated sushi restaurants. I knew the owner and the name changed but hadnt tried it. Especially, with Covid and all. The food was really good but the service was top notch. Super friendly and attentive. We didnt need to flag anyone down, because they were just on the sides waiting. Im extremely surprised how great their service was because most places are understaffed and not that great. The menu is a little different but still really good. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

We went on a Friday night which understandably very busy. We were advised that it should be a 10-15 minute wait. A table became open but after getting seated we were asked to wait a little more since a party of 7 finally showed up.They were very apologetic about the incident. The food was just okay...the spicy tuna was really spicy. Assorted tempura was mediocre at best.

We are from the DC area and have sushi regularly, and this tops any sushi I have had. They are open late on weekdays and I highly recommend them if you are staying in Glendale.

The worst sushi bar restaurant in Glendale California. Underselling and overselling with undisciplined and rude waitress. I bought six meals and received service for two meals. The most important service of a sushi bar restaurant is the freshness of the consumed fishes, which is not observed in this restaurant at all.

Very good and extremely reasonable. Great service. I have been eating sushi for almost 50 years and its a great little place with wonderful service. Food is amazing quality and its a hidden gem. One of my top two places for Sushi particularly for a quick, relatively inexpensive quality lunch. Have not been there for dinner.Parking is in pay for park lot behind the restaurant. Consistent quality and have NEVER been disappointed. Lunch combinations are a particular bargain with very generous portions.

Not only were they open on a holiday, but the food was very good. They have no-carb options as well as the traditional Japanese fare. The prices are about the same as any sit down Japanese restaurant. They have online ordering if you want to do takeout. It of the at least 4 options in the area, this one is pretty darn good.

They have an albacore ball with macadamia nuts and crispy onions. They have as many dishes without rice so you can have a protein fest. I thought it tasted just fine. Noticed some mixed reviews. Arrived late and it was quiet compared to the hopping everything fried place next door (general statement on American health trends). After a while, became full, but still a relaxed vibe. Dont let a fairly empty restaurant deswaid you. People seem to come in waves. Loved my chirashi bowl and the California rolls were divine. The rice was awesome (Ive had a lot of rice with my gluten free diet).

The food is over priced and very bland (generic) and if youre dining with anyone at a table one person gets served at a time whats up with that, and it wasnt even busy? I also ordered a spicy scallop hand roll and it came with fake / imitation crab meat as a filler, not stated on the menu, a major issue for the price. Under attitude one of the sushi chefs gives you the impression hes doing you a favor? Wrong...Ive had better sushi from strip malls so save your money and go anywhere but here.

Unfortunately my husband and I didnt know much better when we were young so going back to a place he used to frequent reminded us that it is best to leave some things in the past. The service was very nice, the place is clean. The seaweed on the hand rolls was far from crisp. The gyoza were okay. Might be hard for old places to update their menu or make changes, or maybe if you bring in 10 people get a bunch of bangin rolls drinking lots of beer, the food is hella good.
