First time coming here and I loved it! I used to go all the way to Garden grove for this dish. I came in early on a weekend so it was still empty except for one other customer I was welcomed by a kind old man. Ordered the seafood tofu with lvl 4 spice, a side of rice and an order of glass noodles you also get some small appetizers before your food comes. Really delicious and will keep on coming here. Spice levels are really spicy so be careful 😅.

Great portions and wide selection of Korean food to choose from. They also include various side dishes for the table to share. We enjoyed the pancake and kimchi! Toppoki was also amazing. Such friendly staff. We definitely will come back.
Its An Okay Place. Its Just Misleading. Having Tofu In The Restaurant Name Gave Me The Impression That There Were A Variety Of Vegetarian Options. But There Was Only One Item To Choose From That Was Vegetarian. After Asking The Server For Substitution And Trying To See If I Can Get Anything Other Then Broccoli Soup. He Got Upset And Never Came Back Again. This Place Also Gives Small Appetizers To Start Off With, Which Was Cool. But I Asked A Different Server If It Was Vegetarian Friendly, She Said It Was Fish Cake At First But Then Said That It Didnt Have Fish After I Seemed Hesitant To Eat It. I Didnt Eat It For Fear That It Might Contain Fish And They Were Just Concealing It. Being A Vegetarian For 10 Years, It Would Of Hurt My Stomach. I Had The Vegetable Soup And Got A Really Bad Stomach Ache Anyways. Definitely Not Vegetarian Friendly. Service Is Bad If Youre Different Than What They Are Use To.
Holy smokes this was DELICIOUS! My partner and I came in for a bit just for a lunch special and we ended up going for seconds, it’s just genuinely authentic taste like a family member made it, because i mean it’s also mom & pop, I’m all for that but it taste like it’s made with love. We got two vegetarian hot stone bimpap with the sides it was awesome. Can’t wait to go back
Came here because traffic was too bad to go further west, was blown away that the food here had improved so much since I tried this place 5 years ago. Ordered the tofu soup combos with bulgogi and spicy chicken, great food. Service is a bit slow but it’s because your food doesn’t start cooking until you order.
I loooveee the tofu soup here. The taste is really good. Service could be a bit better. I see new ppl hired so hopefully it does. The restaurant is usually clean and not very full. The banchan are also tasty. Im comparing this spot to BCD from Irvine and honestly I like the taste of this place better.

The service was friendly, and the food was delicious. I had the grill mackerel with seafood tofu soup, and my daughter had the short ribs, and unfortunately, I cant remember the name of the other dish. It was in a hot bowl with rice and a sunny side up egg. All the banchan was yummy.
Great sushi if youre going to sit down to eat. Every piece was enjoyable. Know if your party is more then 4 people gratuity is automatically added to Bill not just here but usually every restaurant now. Id come here if youre feeling like having good local sushi
Absolutely delicious. Was so glad to find somewhere that has tofu soup, especially as the weather has been getting colder, though I do look forward to trying the cold noodles in the summer. Definitely going back again.

I love the food here. I usually order from here once a month and my favorite 2 things are the kimchi stew with beef and the short ribs. They are pretty pricey but its always good and they are always friendly.
Every other staff except the sick old Korean waiter (maybe he is the boss or manager ) is good. Female waitress is very patient and nice. However, the old man, he always touched one of our friends who is female and try to “flirt” with her. I cannot stand the obscene smiles from him after successfully touch and pinch girls’ body. If you do not want your girlfriend feel offended, do not come!
Came for the soon tofu soup and cold noodles and didn’t like either. There was less flavor in the tofu soup and the spicy cold noodles were so stuck together, I had to ask for soup to break it apart. The galbi was great but overpriced. And the pork bulgogi had a nice and mild flavor to it. There’s no rice that comes with the soon tofu. You have to buy it. And all their side dishes tasted more sour than usual. And, I hate to say it, but the main server was an older man who couldn’t hear as well, so you’d either have to somewhat shout at him to get his attention or wait for him to look up. I think they need more young blood help here. But it was pretty empty, so I do hope their service improves to pull more people in! (VERY PRICY for unfamiliar flavors.)

Called before we went to ask if it is open and the answer was yes. The shop was empty after 5 minutes we got there, we waited inside for 10 minutes and asked anyone there?, only then did someone come out. Unexplainably rude and acting very impatient. During the period, other guests came in and greeted him and he did not respond at all. Lets talk about the food, I once traveled to Korea for half a year, and this restaurants meal can only be said to be very average, and the price/performance ratio is very low. The beef in the tofu soup was tough and the seafood was not fresh. Bibimbap is just rice, with some vegetables and eggs for $22, I wasnt even full. There were two eggs in the set and turned out they were raw. When serving, there is no instruction on where should I add them or how to eat them. From start to finish, the boss didnt look good at all, as if I owed him money.

This is my favorite hidden gem Korean restaurant. Ive been coming here for about 3 years and everything is so delicious and fresh. I love their kalbi and cold noodles dish, its so refreshing during the summer. And their pork neck soup during the winter. The food and service always pleases. THANK YOU.*Also, during this pandemic it was very clean. They wiped down everything in front of us (my pregnant wife and toddler), have a good fan, its well lit and also has a bug zapper. Thats a first for us.
The food here is delicious and decent for a tofu house. I ordered the extra spicy dumpling tofu soup and it was actually as extra spicy as it claims. My girlfriend ordered the original tofu soup and the side dishes were tasty. For the price offered, the portions are reasonable. However, the service was incredibly poor. After we were seated, it took 10 minutes after we decided for the waitress to take our orders. Throughout our meal, they never came by to check on us or see that we wanted more side dishes or water. We called the waiters several times but each time they said they would get back to us, only to start cleaning empty booths across the restaurant. They kept ignoring us until we asked again for the 5th time and after we received our bill, they did not even say anything. I have visited before and would love to come back but they should work on putting in more effort in being attentive and courteous to their customers.
DON’T GO! Very bad service. I shown the menu to the waiter and asked what categories are the take-out foods (some Korean foods are for dine-in only). The waiter’s first language is not English and he was rude when I asked for repeat. I was nice when asking that and he, the waiter, was rude. Then I said “ok” and I left. This is the first time that I left a reastaurant because of the bad service.
Really delicious! I got the tofu dumpling soup, medium spice. The ambiance is pretty chill. Friendly staff. Highly recommend. I wanted to have some for lunch but theyre closed on Mondays. So Im leaving a review instead. Ill see you this weekend.
Took my parents and brother here today and we really enjoyed! We usually go to BCD, but we didn’t want to drive out to OC and decided to try this place out. We got the dumpling soup, tripe soup, and seafood soup. I took a sip from every soup and I think seafood was the best! They’re all delicious though! They all came with their side of rice, a scallion pancake for each person, an egg per person, and some delicious veggie sides for the group to share. The veggie sides can be refilled when empty. The pancakes are just one per person. They were soooooo good. I was reading previous reviews that complained about them having terrible costumer service so I was a little nervous to go, but I realize now what they actually meant. No, you will not be tended to every five minutes. They basically sit you down, take your order, give it to you and leave you alone till you ask for the check. Most folks don’t like feeling “ignored” or not tended to, but I loved the service and didn’t feel that way at all. I personally hate when I get approached every five minutes while I’m trying to enjoy my meal with my family. Or when I’m mid bite and they try to talk to me. They basically let you do your thing and if you want something, you’re going to have to speak up. Sharing this so that people know what to expect! They’re not rude, they just do what they have to and let you be which I personally prefer.Anyway, food was delicious and we all left very happy :).

We have started eating more plant based foods. It’s hard to find vegetarian food or plant based foods in Riverside. We were happy that they were able to accommodate us. The vegetable tofu soup and the vegetable Bibimbab was delicious. The soup reminded me of mom’s home cooking. Great service from the owner’s son. I would definitely recommend this establishment.
Local college student who is also Korean. Can say with confidence that Ok Tofu is the best soon dubu/korean restaurant in Riverside. Been coming here for several years now and have always been happy with the food and service.
Hate to write a review based on the establishment, but Im open to still try it and will rate accordingly. Came here for lunch on my own and the restaurant wasnt busy. There was a single couple at one of the booths, but when I went to find a seat I was told to wait. Every single table was in need of being bussed and cleaned. I figured there must have been a afternoon rush but regardless there wasnt a real drive to clean up. A gentleman told me to wait to clean a booth, but he dropped his rag on the floor, then proceeded to clean the booth with it, and the floor was a little unkempt. So I politely declined service and found my way out. Now, I feel that a disorderly mess is OK with a rush etc etc, but this place was empty. The food itself on the tables looked like it had been out for quite some time. So again, not trashing the quality of food, but need to give my honest experience.
My favorite Korean restaurant... This is a family owned business, therefore you will receive the momma-papa love we all crave in authentic cuisine. This was where I was introduced to Korean pancakes, which is served as a complimentary appetizer before the main course. Absolutely YUMMY! The perfectly cooked and deliciously marinated Korean short ribs are must-haves but if you prefer something hot and spicy to warm your pellet, try one of their signature tofu bowls. YUM YUM! Overall, I love this place because of the owner James who makes this dining experience warm and welcoming.Patrons may have to wait a bit when this place is packed because reportedly James wife is the only cook but any inconvenience is worth it. Ive driven hours just to dine here because I appreciate how I am treated and I truly enjoy the food.I MISS YOU, OK TOFU HOUSE!!!

The food is very tasty. Food came out rather quick. Price is a bit on the steeper side for the portion size. The cold noodle was a bit more chewy than I would expect. The beef bulgogi was a tad drier and tougher than the last time I ate here. Maybe it was a bad day for the cook? I may try to give it another shot to see if it is a trend in the wrong direction or just an aberration.
Staff was really friendly and they brought out the food quickly. Im not super into Korean BBQ (I went with a friend), but their food was pretty good, they cook the food for you so you dont have to like in other KBBQ places
What a gem in the rough. My wife found this place on our way back from the mountains. What a great old school joint the food was just what we needed from a few days in the mountains. Nothing like some Korean comfort food.
I’m giving this place 2 stars because the food is good, however the customer service is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! The water beaker at our table was empty and it took us around ~15 minutes to get the staff’s attention. Thing is, the waiter never took a glance at us and always walked by very fast so it was extremely hard to get his attention, yet he would visit other customers’ tables. Even the restaurant’s owner was walking in the back inspecting other tables, but never came to ours to make sure we were doing okay. At the end, it was clear that we finished our food and we tried to call for the staff again, yet no one bothered to pay attention to our table. Usually, they serve a complimentary sweet drink after your meal (that comes along with your check), but we never received it. There are other Korean restaurants that are more delicious to eat at with WAY BETTER service. Honestly disappointed with this place.
I’ve been here multiple times because the food was always good. However my experience with the customer service last night was horrible. We asked if we could split the check using 3 cards and the man, I’m assuming he was an owner, rolled his eyes and only said 2. I don’t mind that the limit was 2 but the eye rolling was not appropriate. The second thing that happened was that while I was trying to calculate the tip, he told me which box to check off because I was apparently taking too long because they were already closed at 10 (it was 10:05 but the time I was paying)z I don’t think anyone should ASK for a tip, let alone tell me how much to tip you. They really need to work on how they treat paying customers. Just keep that in mind if you do decide to go.
Its a little hidden right next to Jenny Craig in the ice rink parking lot. The owner was friendly and told me about the different items. If youre looking for tofu, its only in their soups. While this was a little disappointing, it got me out of my comfort zone to try something new. I dont remember the name of the dish but it was vegetables, glass noodles and some type of really good mushroom. Ill be back when its cooler and try one of the soups.

Ok Tofu House is more than just ok. Its pretty great. The tofu soup is spot on, spicy actually means spicy, and their other dishes are also very good. We tried a few varieties of the tofu soup, spicy rice cakes (ddukbokki), and bbq ribs (kalbi). Liked them all. We live in OC and eat at many Korean restaurants here, and Ok Tofu House is right there with the best of OC.
Delicious tofu soup and so much family-owned charm. The free pancake and unlimited banchan topped off our experience perfectly. An excellent way to warm up and fill your belly in Riverside!

Online and at the store it says that they close at 9:30 pm so I went there with my family at 8 pm and they told us they were closed even though there were a bunch of people eating inside. From that alone I can tell that this place is mid and their customer service is trash. Don’t support this place they will only disappoint you.

Its nice having a place like this in riverside without having to drive to oc for bcd. In my opinion, its better. You can tell they make everything fresh when you get there, and the one item to prove it is the korean pancake. Omg.......its crazy how good it is. We go here all of the time. There is a friendly old man as a waiter.Naeng myun there is pretty good. Try Galbi tang, hot tofu soup, spicy octopus. My favorite is Gamjatang.

2023-06-30 17:06:13I grew up in Korea and love soft tofu stew. This restaurant has one of the best soft tofu that I had. It is a tad bit on the expensive side and the service was very sparse. However, I liked the typical Korean restaurant decor and authentic Korean food. If you dont know much about Korean food, the side dish is extremely important. They had a great choice of side dishes and it wasnt necessarily catering to American customers. It was legit Korean side dishes. I would recommend this place. I have 4 stars only because of the service.

Picked radish is too salty, Shrimp in the tofu soup is not fresh but dried. Salad in the appetizer is good. Pancake seems to be deep fried instead of baked? At one point manager took off mask when taking orders. Overall a very average Korean tofu restaurant.

The bibimbap has a good amount of vegetables and meat. I will be coming back to try the other things. The staff is super friendly and accommodating!

What got me is that they have tteaboki which was the perfect amount of flavor and spice. If you do come visit MAKE SURE TO TRY THEIR SOUP!

2021-05-11 19:05:25This is always been our favorite Korean restaurant since we moved to Riverside. There are not many Korean restaurants around and here you find homemade receipe. Tofu soup is the basic but you can also find beef rib soup or Korean casserole pot. Their pancake is very good too. We love the owner and he is super friendly every time we visit. Highly recommend.
