2023-08-21 07:07:45The food was so good! We were a party of 6, 4 adults, 2 kids. We had to wait about 30 mins to be seated on a Saturday night. We order some food right away and it came out really fast. I definitely recommend this place. Even the kids liked it! Great place to eat.

2023-07-12 03:22:47Still great after 4 years not being back. One of the best grilled squid and beef udon. Its a bit more pricey for sure for the portion and could be a bit bigger.

2022-11-17 07:57:33Almost everything was good, especially the scallop sashimi and the bbq beef bowl. However, the rolls were not great, a little bit messy and the ingredients were imbalanced. Still good value and tasty, but could be better.

2023-01-05 05:17:07TLDR; too expensive for what they offer, better go to Meiji Seimen or Kin Craft izakaya. We decided to try this place after there was a long wait at our usual izakaya.Dishes were hit or miss. Here are some tips of whats good and whats not good.First of all, dont go here for sushi. We ordered salmon and tuna. For the $6.5 price tag, the fish is thinly sliced on top of a lot of rice. Not worth it at all. Fried chicken cartilage was meh.The udon and pork cutlet are good, really enjoyed it and recommend you get it if you end up coming here. The thing that got me was the bill. For 4 people we ended up paying $200 and didnt even come close in flavor to our usual spots and more expensive.

2022-01-13 20:08:28First of all this place has a great customer service, they greet you as soon as you walk in and as soon as you walk out. Honestly its kinda pricey but its worth it. Very clean place and they have one of best spicy beef noodles soup out there. Try the rice ball in the soup and some good sushi. There used to have outdoor dining but o didnt see that anymore. Try their good selection of drinks and if you want something sweet they offer good diversity of teriyaki and bentos. They also have great desserts and ice cream. So if youre Im town or just want to enjoy a good Japanese cuisine then this is the place.

2023-11-18 05:59:04Definitely one of our favorite sushi restaurants in Tustin. We have been coming here for years. Things have changed theres no longer a bar but theyve added more seating. Try the sesame tofu. Its made in house at the Tustin location.**Im hoping they bring back the sake tasting!!

2023-10-15 22:21:27Delicious as usual. My favorite dish this time was the salmon belly sushi, and they prepared it in some sort of special way. (Sorry I dont know how to describe it.) It feels a little pricey but I think you get what you pay for in terms of quality.

2022-08-14 03:21:09I came here for the first time on a Friday night around 8:30 and the wait was less than 30 minutes. We originally wanted to go to Honda-ya but this place was a much shorter wait. The location is inside a large shopping centerso there is plenty of parking. This is is pretty small and seems like its busy all the time so be ready to be tightly packed in with everyone else. The front desk people were really nice and friendly. There was two of us and we ordered the Japanese bbq beef bowl, classic udon, a house salad, grilled squid and the eel and avocado roll. My favorite was the japanese beef bowl because the beef was so tender and flavor wasperfect. My only thing was you get 6 pieces of steak and I wanted more! The grilled squid was really good too and they make their own dipping sauce. The udon was actuallybetter than expected because the broth was so flavorful. Salad is a salad but big enough to share. And eel avocado roll was pretty good as well. All in all I was really happy with this place because the food was probably better than Honda-ya but you are also paying for it as well. But prices have gone up everywhere so not sure if other places have raised their prices this much as well. For two of us with no drinks, the bill cameout to about $75.

2021-09-01 23:41:34We were in the area for the surf shop and wanted to grab dinner. This was a few doors down and had a 5 star on Google so we have it a try. They have earned every star and I agree with them. Our waiters were fast, friendly and entertaining. They cracked a few jokes and made the meal fun.We ordered a few rolls, the fried chicken and a ramen. I was having trouble taking pictures fast enough because everyone was eating quickly. Will definitely come back!
