Oki Japan is very tasty and at a great price. We were there before the circus, which was on the lot and had a nice meal. It is located inside the Lakewood Center Mall.The place is small and does a lot of to go and delivery. There are some nice places to sit and the mall area right out front as a lot of seating.We had shrimp tempura and rice which was great and some sushi. The sushi was good, not great. We will have something else next time. Their beef bento box was really good and their vegetables are steamed nicely and they are super tasty. Their chicken teriyaki is excellent.The place is clean and the service is really nice and they are fast. Have fun.

I have been going here for a couple years but I had an experience in which the Terriyaki sauce was super salty and mention it to the owner and took the feedback in a negative way. I really enjoy the food but I had a bad experience which the sauce was super salty when it usually is more on the sweet side. Definitely a hit or miss in my opinion.

The issue is not the flavor or the quality of the food but the lack of friendliness and speed of service. I have been to several joint similar to this one (there is one in Cerritos mall for example).. and the service in this one is slooooYou got to have your top selling plate ready to serve and not cook to order. This is a mall fast food not a gourmet sit down restuarant.

My fiance and I love Oki Japan and come by whenever we have enough money to swing it. The beef udon, gyoza, and shrimp tempura are our favorites.

My daughter loves their teriyaki chicken bowl. Their prices are reasonable. Partner got the seafood noodle bowl and said it was delicious.

Not a fan, I tried the shrimp tempura bento with fried rice... Flavor its all wrong. The fried rice looks and taste like Mexican red rice, the shrimp were small and over cooked, crunchy and burnt, nothing Japanese nor Asian flavor about this meal. For that price and flavor its not worth it. I will not be back, ever.

Chicken is okay for the price but my girlfriend said it was good. A little overpriced. You get one item for almost $8, where in other places you get 2 items. I ordered some sushi but was very disappointed. It was a tiny tube sized roll. Almost buffet sized. I asked for a water cup like i always do and I usually get no complaints. I asked for 2 water cups and only got one. She tried to charge them as water bottles.

The Udon tasted sooo good. It was around $7-$8. I got beef and udon. I went there with my boyfriend and he got the Teriyaki bowl. Drawback would be the sushi, it tastes good but the size is small. There is no place to sit inside the mall but there is seating outside. Theres a vending machine for drinks at the outside eating area, as well as a target nearby to get drinks if you wish to save money on the drinks.

Amazing quick service, infact faster than some well established fast-food chains. The environment is lovely, well lit, and a great manga inspired design as its wallpaper. All completely justified visiting for their savory, juicy dishes. I especially like the side order of noodles. Great Japanese that wont break your wallet, and a must-try for anyone looking for high tier Asian food while at the mall.

We always buy the chicken plate almost every other weekend, if not every weekend. I always thought customer service was poor, but the tasty plate kept us coming. I have 4 young children, so sometimes we would order 2-3 plates and my kids would share since their portions are pretty generous. Earlier today, the female cashier commented Two plates for six people? I thought that was such a RUDE comment. My family and I have been eating here for the last 2-3 years and for her to make such a comment to a loyal customer was extremely impolite and unprofessional. In addition, the chefs arent very friendly, either. My husband and I just decided to never go there again. We have decided to eat elsewhere in the mall, so Oki Japan has lost our business.

Ordered chicken teriyaki and a California roll which came to $12 and change. I was disappointed by everything individually including the vegetables (aka cabbage) that came with the teriyaki. The chicken was more fried than grilled and super crunchy and much too salty. Im not even sure if there was teriyaki sauce on it I assume it was cooked in teriyaki sauce because none was visible on the food and I was not about to ask for sauce considering it was already too salty. The California roll was mediocre at best. The rice of the roll was oddly warm which was off-putting. I do like that they use the pink ginger.

I had a spectacular experience here. I am vegan and am used to being treated with impatience because of this.However, at Oki Japan, they were extremely contentious and through with my order--customizing both my udon noodle soup and my cucumber rolls to my dietary needs. Even asking further questions to make sure there werent any ingredients i missed that I could be allergic to.Oh and for my custom order they actually charged me less! The quality of the food was similar to many higher end Japanese restaurants Ive been too around LA, which pleased me even more.I ate my delicious meal happily and left with a big smile on my face.

It is your run of the mill mom and pop Japenese shop. It is the grilled chicken that gets everyone in here (they pass out samples). You know exactly what to expect if youve ever been to a mall. It is actually CHEAP. A teriyaki bowl for $6.39 (at the time of writing this). I actually think this is quite possibly the cheapest in the LA area (outside of someone selling it out of their house lmao).It is NOT healthy lol. But thats why we love it. Its greasy and it is good cheap and quick.

Very bad customer service, the Asian lady at the register is extremely rude. She got my order wrong after I repeated it 3 times. Then wanted me to eat the food. She didnt want to give me the correct order. I tried the beef teriyaki that was basically hamburger meat. Very disappointed. Only thing good here is the chicken.

Oki Japan is okay with me.Exercising the wallet with some After Christmas shopping at the Lakewood Mall, we needed something in our bellies to rejuvenate us. Having not been to the Lakewood Mall in a long time, we noticed the old second floor food court became an arcade, with the main food court being near Target. Juggling between Panda Express & Oki Japan, the free samples of chicken teriyaki did the trick & wooed me over.Oki Japan offers various meat w/ teriyaki, sushi / sashimi, gyoza, among other items.We decided on ordering the eel roll & chicken teriyaki plate.Eel Roll ($4.69) - At first, I thought that was a steal for an unagi roll, but watching the woman preparing my sushi roll, my heart sank & my tummy frowned as I saw my diminutive roll being made before my eyes. Tiny & akin to sushi at a cheap Chinese buffet, this left me hungry & wanting.Chicken Teriyaki ($5.69) - Heres where Oki Japan redeemed themselves......a little. Generous amount of chicken with steamed vegetables over white rice. Hot, filling & better than having a pretzel or pizza. Not gourmet by any means, but good for mall food. The price didnt hurt the wallet, either.Service was okay. Being the day after Christmas, things were quite busy. The wait for the eel roll was longer because the teriyaki chicken is cooked in mass quantities to accommodate the crowds. There are a few booths to sit inside, but we sat near the childrens play area.As long as you dont order the sushi, then Oki Japan is a good option when the hunger pains strike while shopping at the Lakewood Mall. For not much scratch, a hot plate of teriyaki can fill you up. Next time, Im going for the beef teriyaki.Recommend!NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM
