We are diehard fans of Okini Sushi, since they were located on Pleasant Hill Rd. We always get a Chicken Katsu or Teriyaki Dinner Bento & a roll, or a bowl is Chicken Udon soup. I dont think theres any bad order here - I also love their hot green tea (flavored with toasted rice).Service is exceptional; this is one of the local places Id love to see around for decades.

We indulged in a variety of delectable dishes, including the Beef Teriyaki, Fried Calamari, Golden California Roll, and the Bay Bridge Roll. Each dish was prepared to perfection, with flavors that truly transported us to Japan. The Beef Teriyaki was tender and bursting with savory goodness, while the Fried Calamari had a delightful crispness that left us craving for more. Very nice staff. Never had to ask for more water or tea. They made our granddaughter feel special by bringing training chopsticks and the Sushi chefs placed a real flower blossom decoration with her meal.The food is quick and very tasty, with good portion sizes. Resonable prices too. We had Sushi rolls but theres also Udons and combination plates with teriyaki meats and more variety.There is also a special limited lunchtime menu with reduced pricing for a variety of Sushi rolls.I would recommend Okini Sushi for lunch, dinner or a nice meal for a date.

Service okay, but was slow. Orders came out in bad order first person was half done when second order came out. Same for 3rd person. Udon broth was not right, all you could taste was sesame oil. Sashimi presentation was nice, sushi was okay too. Sashimi Delux is 35.95 and does not come with rice, soup or salad. Everywhere else this would come with at least one of those. The worst thing was the soy sauce. We all agreed it was watered down. Who does that? I use low sodium kikoman at home. This was just tasteless. I like to go to local restaurants, good thing there are 5 other sushi restaurants in Pleasant Hill.

This restaurant was awful, I had to wait 30 minutes for my order to be ready and I work delivery so time is very precious for people like us, in these 30+ minutes of waiting I asked multiple times how long the wait would be and the lady working was nothing but rude. She yelled at me to just wait and she would let me know when it was ready while giving me no insight on the wait time. Restaurant was a mess and everyone’s order was extremely behind. Rude, racist and disrespectful. No regards for our time and respect. I asked for her name and they told me it was chow or something similar.

I went here tonight with two friends and I watched the workers walk outside and start smoking cigarettes and they left the door wide open so the whole restraunt could smell the god awful smell. What a way to bring in customers. I love this place and was very disappointed.

This place is awesome. I went early, around 11:30am, so it was pretty quiet...but.... The service was good and the food was AMAZING. Low carb roll was great, sake was great and honestly, i cant wait to come back and try more of their dishes

Do not ever place a take out order from this restaurant. I placed my order at 5:55pm with estimated pick up time of 6:45pm. One hour for 4 sushi rolls already sounds ridiculous but whatever. I got there at 640, there were 3 other people who had been waiting 15-20 mins for their pick up. I finally got mine at 705pm. Can you imagine 4 sushis taking over an hour to make. What would the dine in experience be like. Absolutely ridiculous.
