Okura Robata Grill & Sushi Bar in La Quinta

The food here is always a hit. I came with a group so we tried a variety of dishes. Everything I ordered was really good. The garlic soy edadame and shrimp & veggie tempura were good. We also had the Baked Alaskan and the Marilyn Monroe which we enjoyed. Our server was helpful and took care of our table. I enjoy coming here and would recommend this location.

We got there fairly later in the evening and there was plenty of parking. We tried the white wine and two types of rolls. We got the Marilyn Monroe rolls and the mango rolls. Fairly large size rolls. We didn’t need more than two plates. Service was great and they were able to sit as very quickly. We have the option to sit at the bar or a table. Next time I want to try sitting at the bar. I really like how they redid the restaurant. It is a great date night restaurant. It is also kids friendly. Good for birthday dinners.

Walked in for dinner on Saturday night at 7:40pm, said not accepting reservation until after 8pm. Busy place indeed with the vibes of various celebrations or date night. Bar is full house the whole time. Food is generally ok, cocktail menu is around $20 per.

All show no go... But I Love the service, ambiance, decor, and vibe...Im only going to comment on the sushi. The appetizers and robata we got were perfect. Unfortunately, the rolls were too big and the rice was stale (Thats the kicker). The rice is what makes or breaks sushi.

This is my new favorite sushi place now. After driving past it for years, I finally had dinner there and it was awesome. Staff were very friendly, service was quick and the food was super tasty. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for good sushi

Service was on point. Our server was attentive and made sure to check in very often. Meals were delicious! The ambiance is nice and mellow, but sophisticated. Perfect for date night. We will definitely be back.

Came for my brothers birthday. We were a party of 11. I made a reservation that day for 6 pm so when we got there our table was ready so that was all good. After we sat down, the waiter took forever to even go to our table and take our drink order. Keep in mind that for a party of 6 or more, a 20% gratuity is added! To make things short, the service was the worst service. Our drinks were empty, and never did they go and refill until we would tell them. Our food took forever to come out, and when it finally did, they took the rolls all in one plate (3 rolls) we were all separated. I dont understand why they would put the rolls in one plate. We told them we wanted them separated, and all of them made a face like if we were in the wrong. We all ordered separate, so they shouldve been separate. We lasted almost 4 hours in this place, waiting the whole time it was ridiculous and would not go back. My guess since they know gratuity is included, they dont care whether they give you bad service or not. The food was ok it wasnt all that I ordered a red dragon and the Limon roll, but its not any different from what Ive tried anywhere else.

We arrived at the restaurant around 7 pm on a Sunday night. The restaurant did not seem to be busy or as busy as weve seen it on other nights. The hostess was rude and asked us to sit on the bench and wait for 5 minutes before they seat us. Of course, time passed on and we were not called up to our table. A separate couple came in after us and were seated immediately. Only after i went up to the hostess podium they eventually seated us after over 20 minutes waiting. The hostess offered no apology and again, was extremely rude. Do not recommend visiting this sushi house. We like Misaki Sushi down the street in La Quinta for a recommendation.

This place is amazing! Great environment, wonderful crew and the owner is always there greeting and talking to customers making sure everything is perfect. My favorite sushi spot in the valley, Im there often with friends or family reunions. Keep the great work.
