Tucked away in a corner, this place is nice and cozy. It is my first time in an Olive Garden and the restaurant is pretty big. Many sections which is good for groups and birthday parties.The service staff is very helpful and accommodating.The food was okay, standard Olive Garden quality, lots of cheese and fried stuffs, some salads too. Great place kids.

This was the first time coming into this location. When we came in, we promptly got seated. It was really chili inside thats why I put less stars for atmosphere. Our waitress was amazing. Miranda went above and beyond with her service. Very attentive and didnt forget anything. Overall was a great experience. Next time will bring a jackets

We had an excellent experience and we were a pretty large party, so Im not surprised something went wrong. We came an hour before closing (not intentionally), but we missed a large platter when we ordered the dishes, and we didnt mind because it was the unlimited pasta. Otherwise, it was a wonderful experience, and Id love to go back sometime soon.

Went here tonight for dinner and the service was fast and attentive. I ordered Eggplant Parmesan with spaghetti and the salad to start. The salad was good as usual, the eggplant was very tasty and the spaghetti was pretty bland. They portions have gotten smaller and the prices have gone up like every other place.Watch out for plastic in your salad.

Great unlimited soup and breadsticks. Also love the unlimited breadstick dipping sauce. Those two make a great meal. Was there around noon. The Manager was friendly and responsive to feedback and sat me in a booth as requested no issues. Had an ok server. Brought me the wrong soup to start but lucky it was one I liked. He was very friendly and did check up on my table the perfect amount.

I always should know better when going to a chain restaurant. I should have gone to one of the many small Italian restaurants here in town, but I was passing by and didnt think.The food was okay, but nothing special. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo to take home. The sauce has always been full of flavor in the past, however, for some reason, either the recipe has changed, or I got a batch that was a little on the bland side.The breadsticks and salad was excellent, and always hits the spot. A disappointment was that I paid $8+ for a larger size side of alfredo, as my daughter always has loved it for her breadsticks. Besides the flavor profile not being what we remember, the didnt even fill the container, which was only quarter of the way full. $8 for maybe 2 or 3 oz is not appealing.Although the food didnt meet expectations, the customer service was great. I was greeted with a smile by the hostess when I walked in. I was greeted with an attentive bartender who took my to go order, and I was also greeted by a manager on my way out with a big smile. Lots of smiles here, which makes it inviting and warm. Very impressed by the team here!

This place should have gone out of business a long time ago. I ate there a while ago, and my food was way too salty. I gave it another try this week and had the soup salad and bread sticks. I immediately got sick, the salad was slimy, and smelly, the soup was overcooked to the point that the noodles were disinergrating, and I had to spit it out. The wine was low quality and limited. The breasticks were hard and old. Yuck, and it was expensive for unauthentic Italian. I have been to authentic Italian and spent less for more. Dont go here. The bathroom also reeked of urine.

The place is undergoing renovations; the food was pretty good but I’m disappointed of how the soup was overall. My soup, Zuppa toscana, had very few sausage and potatoes, mainly broth. I tried to ask my waiter but he has already brought me my entree (which was the eggplant parmigiana which was good) overall an average experience. Probably won’t be back until the renovations are done

The second time we meet such amazing people here. Im not one to write many reviews but Allen went above and beyond. Allen made this my favorite Olive Garden. You can tell when someone enjoys their job. Patient, super funny, kind and a down to earth kind of person. High 5 for Allen. Olive Garden needs to send Allen to Italy.

So its been a while since I have eaten at Olive garden and not alot has changed. Food is ok, service is decent. For a major restaurant chain it seems to just follow suit. I wasnt particularly blown away or excited to be here. The hostess had seated my wife while I parked the car. Upon my entering I let her know my wife has already been seated. She had no clue as to what I was no repeating, finally one of her coworkers said come with me sir well find her. From this point on it kinda felt like eating in a cafeteria. The best thing is the bread sticks. The actual food was marginal the plates came out with splashed sauce on outer rim. I think it will probably be a while before returning to this location. Our server was very professional and lively. His timing was perfect, just enough to where we didnt feel rushed and didnt feel forgotten.

Met with childhood friends. Waiter was awesome, even guiding us in making the best selections for lunch.Refills were just right, not intrusive, and exactly when we were ready for them (love the breadsticks).Endless salad was refreshing and crunchy, the right blend and amazing parmesan!The atmosphere was perfect! Catching up on each others lives was made easy as we could hear each other well without shouting or straining. The waiter Jaden is absolutely fantastic. Very courteous and prompt with our order. He had a great personality and went out of his way to make sure my 2 sons and I had everything we needed not just Sunday night but Tuesday night as well. 5 stars for sure. My 10 year old said Carlsbad olive garden is his new favorite olive garden of them all because of the waiter. Thanks Jaden well be back in a week or two.

I dont live around here, have been to several Olive Garden, since my wife loves eating there often. Earlier today we decided to have lunch at this location for my birthday, we order the chicken Alfredo it was very creamy .. the food was amazing, absolutely the best Ive ever had at any other location, even got a complintary strawberry creme cake for my birthday, very delicious by the way. To top it off our server Scotty was amazing as well, very nice and attentive .. will definitely be coming back.

I came here on a night that wasnt fairly busy. I had the steak and pasta dish with wine that is recommended with this meal. I couldnt finish the wine (not my taste) but the food was alright. We went at 9, an hour before they close. I understand everything is being cleaned and put away, but my food was really bad. My ravioli had barely any sauce on it and my soup was pretty cold. I just brought the food back to my hotel room to be reheated. Didnt want to ask for another plate since it was just before close. My waitress was very kind and quick. We had a party of 7 2 of us had the soup and salad combos, and it took us 2 hrs from start to finish so I gotta admit the service was lacking. The place was not busy, bar was empty, we were in-between lunch and dinner so I cant give any excuses on why everything took so long. The server would drop things off and split so fast we didnt have time to ask for refills or options so it was a bit frustrating. She was nice, and for that she still got a fat tip, but I wasnt too impressed. It looks like 3 table sections, which I can do circles around.. all and all it was OK. I find the prices pretty steep here for a corporate restaurant...

Our waitress Ilene had no personality barely cracked a smile and lacked customer service. I ordered a spaghetti with meat sauce and she brought me marinara and not meat sauce. When I asked her about it she said I ordered marinara (which I know I did not because I don’t like marinara) pretty much called me a liar and asked if I wanted the meat sauce 🙄Has she ever heard the term “customer is always right” not saying that I’m always right but I’ve worked and managed in the customer service industry and their is no way I would’ve ever told a customer they were wrong even if I knew they were. Her attitude and demeanor during our whole meal was as if she was bothered if we was asked for something (again that’s her job). She is in the wrong type of industry if she doesn’t like to serve or deal with people/customers.

We celebrated a birthday here on a weekday evening. Service was quick and friendly. Very capable staff. One server managed our entire table of about 20. The food was excellent. Some members of our part were disappointed to not be offered lasagna, but it was very late. Completely understandable. Highly recommend this location. We considered numerous other restaurants in the region, but none could accommodate our large group. Here we were offered a private section. The interior design is very inviting and feels elegant. Overall a very positive experience.

I ordered the new chicken marsala fettuccine. It lacked flavor as well as salt. The chicken was tough and chewy. I didnt finish the meal. They did get the salad right. That bad smell really puts a damper on a dining experience. The tomatoes in the salad were mealy. Bleh. The only redeeming quality was our awesome server, I think her name was Nicki. Literally Cail was the best server I have ever had in a restaurant. He was extremely funny, friendly, and attentive. Our table was very talkative and he did his best to make us feel welcomed. The only bad thing I have to say about this place is that a older woman with red hair and glasses came up to us and said “okay motor-mouth I’ve been picking up your slack” we felt this was extremely inappropriate, uncomfortable, and flat out rude as she said it right in front of us and it was extremely mean. It wasn’t Cail’s fault he was at our table as we kept on asking him questions. Overall, Cail was an excellent server and we intended to go back just to see him.

First off - Im ranking this Olive Garden based upon being a fan of Olive Gardens. Is it authentic Italian food from the old country and would I serve it to an Italian grandmother expecting it to pass muster? No. Its American Italian, its a chain, but its good, solid comfort food.So if youre not a fan, dont bother. Im not a fan of certain large chain restaurants that people seem to love, but that doesnt mean Im gonna trash their ratings based on personal preferences. Like any chain, you basically know what to expect and what youre getting.So, now that thats out of the way - this Olive Garden experience for us on 10/08/2022 was the top experience weve had at any Olive Garden. Our water was so kind, so attentive, and so proactive. He wasnt hovering, but he knew what wed need before we even voiced it, so he gave us privacy but kept an eye on us to anticipate our requests. I noticed he did the same with every one of his tables. I wish I remembered his name. Anyhow, the food was good, portions large as always, and breadsticks were fresh. Weve been to many Olive Gardens over the years and sometimes the breadsticks are older, or colder, and other times everything can taste fresh.We come early, so like 4PM for dinner, because we enjoy the lack of rush. The dinner staff have usually just started their shifts, and we can relax and enjoy the peace and food without too much activity.We were both so impressed, we couldnt help commenting and ensuring we showed our appreciation in the tip.Even if it wasnt the closest location to us, wed come back because the staff seemed to be caring about each of the guests.

We love Olive Garden ... always have. Having recently moved from St Louis (where the food on The Hill would melt in your mouth) ... HOWEVER, we would still always go back to Olive Garden when we just wanted some Italian comfort food (gnocchi & bread sticks). The food has always been consistently great, and weve rarely ever had a bad dining experience (weve eaten in El Paso, Las Cruces, St Louis & now Carlsbad). Nice ambience, food was good, except, I ordered spaghetti with meat balls. It came with very little sauce. The noodles were dry. I asked for more sauce and was served a container with about 2 ounces of sauce. It was enough to coat the spaghetti.I got the bill and was charged $3.99 for the extra sauce. I was shocked. I have had this dish many times before and have never had to ask for additional sauce..I was not told there would be an extra charge when I requested it. The waiter took it off the bill which was nice but that dish should not have ever come out of the kitchen that way, then the extra charge just didnt feel right. It wont stop me from coming back but I didnt leave satisfied. It is funny how something so small can sour your experience.The server was good

There is a bit of a wait if you arrive at peak times but its worth it for Endless (DELICIOUS) soup and salad. Their breadsticks and dinners are great, too. Service was exceptional. On todays visit the prices had noticeably increased. That along with slightly smaller portions being served recently make it not a bargain any longer but still delicious.

This visit was my first visit to this Olive Garden. I was with a friend who has Lupus, so when we got there we asked the hostess if we could sit off in the corner furthest from other people if possible. This location did not have outdoor seating. So they said no problem. Found us a table that was perfect. Then the waiter came whos mask was below his nose. Which is understandable because sometimes when u talk your mask works its way below your nose. The issue was.. no more then we placed our order they sat another couple right behind us when there were 7 other tables further away from us that were empty that was still in the section that the server was working. To me how brain dead can you be when it was the same hostess that sat us. So we moved ourselves to the table next to us. When the waiter came back he acted like we just stole his first born child. It was very disappointing this visit to this Olive Garden. The food as well was not great. Got the soup and salad. The lettuce was all white, the tomatoes were barely red. Breadsticks were great and that was pretty much it. Just a bad experience at this location.

Then the waiter came back every 2 minutes trying to take our order when we barely even had the opportunity to look at the menu. I guess he got frustrated because we kept saying we weren’t ready and just wanted time to look over the menu because he handed us off to another waitress. We didn’t get our bread until 30 minutes of us sitting at the table. When we ordered, the food took FOREVER to come out, we barely even felt like eating by the time the food came out. I truly didn’t understand how a full party and a couple that showed up 30 minutes after got their food before us. (Sorry, I dont understand the whining about waiting in the other reviews...its a family chain restaurant. You should expect a wait. Get over it.) The staff were very friendly and organized. With all the open tables they still said it was a 20 minute wait. We sat at the bar while we waited. The lady working the bar apparently was working some tables too. It took about 15 can minutes for her to get back there and take our order. Ordered a beer, they said they didnt have that one. Picked another. Every time I come here, its such a great experience. The food is always yummy, the waitresses always friendly and the environment very warm and inviting. Olive Garden is perfect for date nights, quick lunches and awesome brunches. Currently they have $5.00 deals (all day, every day) on some of their yummy alcoholic beverages and that is definitely a plus. Our first visit to this Olive Garden location was pleasant and accommodating.When we arrived, the reception desk in the foyer reported the wait would be about forty-five minutes or more. The reception desk is in the lobby near the main entrance. There are dining tables behind the reception desk and the bar counter on the other side of the tables. Seating at the bar showed two stools were empty. We asked for the two stools and were immediately seated (Image: Olive Garden Carlsbad Foyer).One of my favorites at the Olive Garden is their unlimited Soup and Salad item. Most of the time, I’ll have a bowl of soup, “Pasta e Fagioli.” This soup is a mild Italian-style chili with a tasty broth. The large salad serving bowl always gets filled at least twice for us. I like their Olive Garden Salad dressing. It makes the fresh crunchy vegetables a wonderful meal that makes us return often.When we first arrived and parked the car, we didn’t see the main entrance. We looked for people, headed towards them. The main entrance is on the end of the building nearest to the Marron Road end of the parking lot. As we got closer, the main entrance was clear on that end of the restaurant (Images: Olive Garden Carlsbad Entrance Area, & Olive Garden Carlsbad Entrance).This Olive Garden has a lot of tables along the length of a long building. On each side, there are a lot of tables for a lot of people. Each dining area, not including the bar tables, is on the side of the building. That much dining space would make hosting a private party easy, while regular dining could happen on the other side.Bar seating distance was created by removing the bar stools. Unexpectedly, the spaced seating seemed to generate many conversations with those at the bar and the tables. I don’t remember this happening before the pandemic distance space.

I have been there several times in the afternoon to have lunch and maybe around 2 to 3 p.m. they will only set you on the left side of the restaurant which is fine I guess? My grandmother got the soup, salad and breadsticks. She got the fagoili soup. My Grandfather got the lasagna. I got the soup, salad, and breadsticks but I had zupa tuscana for my soup. We got the pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. Like I said everything was prepared perfectly.

This place is just the best! I have been here several times and ordered takeout for office meetings, and the food and service are always good. I dont think that I have had anything that I didnt like which is saying a lot for any restaurant.As everyone says, you have to get some pink sauce. It goes on almost everything. Also, the eggplant parm is good as well as the lobster ravioli. The new location is very nice, and a big improvement over their last location.

I have friends who will put up their nose are the mere mention of the Olive Garden. I have never been that person. I fine the quality of service and food top notch. Theres great praise to be given to managers that produce such a dynamite and consistent menu. The Scampi dishes,fresh marinara and creamy Alfredo always leave me wanting more. House cocktails are seasonally fresh and not overpriced. Just one more thing.Tgw fresh bread sticks dunked in a warm bowl of Supa Tuscana is a heavenly taste Ill never resist.

My first question. 6 Hostess? Thats a lot. We sat in the bar. We ordered the cheese fondue soup salad and breadsticks and 2 pasta dishes. I must comment that all of the air vents were dirty. Get a Swiffer on those things. The waiter that we had was very nice. He checked on us. However overall the service was slow. Furthermore we never received our cheese fondue. It wasnt on the bill so I think it just got forgot. We also sell trash on the ground in a couple different places. My soup was super good though. I cant say that the two pasta dishes stood out. But my soup was really good.

For the price of the food here youd think it would at least be decent.My soup that I received was honestly the only good part of the meal for me. Their breadsticks were kind of hard for being fresh out of the oven and our entrees were cold in certain parts. The flavor of the fettuccine alfredo was severely lacking. Somehow its overly salty while also not being flavorful enough?The only reason Im giving it 3 stars was because out waiter was hilarious and delightful. I hadnt been to an Olive Garden since I was in highschool so maybe I just have a better palate now but I did not remember it ever being so lackluster. Pasta isnt really that hard to mess up. Im assuming they dont make the food there they just heat it up. So not an issue with the staff just an issue with the quality of what they have to serve. Id recommend trying the family owned Italian place in the next shopping center over instead.

EXACTLY!Hosts were friendly and ensuring everyone was getting a table in a timely manner.Our waitress was the busiest waitress i ever had. I ordered like two hours ago and picked up everything looked fine. Until I got home my freakin asparagus were all yellow in one order, like what the heck. I ordered two orders of the shrimp scampi, so I checked the other plate. What do you know, this one is perfect. Also my breadsticks were all hard and cold. I’m very disappointed, not even mad. Cmon I always order to go, don’t start giving bad food to your customers. If your vegetables aren’t good please don’t serve it to your customers, just toss it to the trash before someone gets sick. We normally love coming here with our family but I think olive garden has definately started lowering their standards with new hires. The last 3 times we have come the service was a disaster. Last night we experienced the most horrible service of all. After being seated the waitress spoke so low we could barely hear her. We ordered drinks and then she took our childrens coloring menus they were using. It took 15 min for drinks, then another 20 for or soups, she didnt ask if we wanted cheeses, we had to ask for drink refills that took another 15 min. My husband asked for more soup and she never brought it to him, and never brought our childrens drink refills. We spent most of our time looking around like are you serious? We were getting ready to speak to a manager and leave when she finally brought our food. We stayed took less than 10 min for us to ask for the check and leave. Oh and again she forgot our refills and finally brought my husbands soup when I reminded her as we asked for the check... Will never eat here because of service again. Makes me sad cause we have had so many amazing servers here in previous years. Guess they hire anyone now...

Honestly, this review is more about the customer service than the actual restaurant. Emily, (our lovely waitress) was the absolute BEST! Not only did she do an excellent job taking care of our group of 7 but she somehow got our kids to fall in love with her in the process. She is thorough, sweet, accommodating, and timely! I mean, as soon as we seemed low on something, she was right there to take care of it. You couldnt ask for a better waitress...she could teach a few people a thing or two IMHO! Anyhoo, bottom line...if in Carlsbad, stop into Olive Garden. Not just for the food, but also for some of the best service around (given Emily is on duty, of course😉)

Food - The kids pasta dish filled up my 13 year old. They can choose their noodles, sauce, and protein. The mashed potatoes werent great. I ordered the shrimp scampi, which is huge... I ate what I could and hubby had it for dinner the next night. Hubby got the Tour of Italy that comes with 3 different items: chicken parmesan, ravioli, and alfredo. Needless to say there were leftovers from his plate too. The second batch of bread sticks were super fresh. Overall, we really enjoyed the food.Service - The service from Nicole was really good, in my opinion. She was sweet at every stop and made good eye contact. She boxed up our food for us too. There was zero wait for a table at 6:00 on a weeknight but plenty of people were there having dinner.

Olive Garden is a favorite! We love the breadsticks and salad. This time I had the shrimp and chicken carbonara which was excellent! It is a huge plate, so plan to take some home with you. For the waiters male and female alike there is one thing that i have noticed, you guys are great to some indaviduals. What i mean by that is knowing your audiance. My wife and i attended dinner at this establishment earlier tonight, and she felt uncomfortable because our female waitress would give her attention to myself. She would check on us and but it felt like she was only interested in myself and not my wifes response. General rule of thumb when a couple is eating out the female usually has the last so on the tip. And the roles reverse when you have a male waiter. Thank you

We had a great dinner Here. First off we had Chloe as a server and she was awesome! A huge reason this is a five star review is because of Chloe’s great customer service. She was really on top of it and was great at multitasking. We had the Alfredo sauce with our breadsticks and I have to say this is a must have! Makes the breadsticks sooo much better. Also I had the steaks with fettuccine Alfredo and the steak was great much better than I expected. All around great dinner! Thank you!

But his was over the top. I knew he was very busy but damn! I really wish I knew his name so I can request his section every time we go there. Give that man a raise!!!!!
