Great little spot for us to grab a cappuccino after dinner. Was wonderful. They were open later and had a wonderful patio we could chill at. The staff was excellent. Even hooked up a heater for us. Great cappuccinos and the walnut back baklava was great. Definitely a spot Ill be returning to.

A dog friendly outdoor seating area across from the caltrain depot. A nice selection of beer and wine. The savory Greek/Turkish pastries are my favorite- spanakopita and borek. The dolmas are also recommended. They have a more extensive menu of German and Greek entrées, but I usually stick to lighter fare.

Its been more than 7 years that this place is my favorite. I used to sit inside and work on my laptop for hours and it just awesome for that.Ive tried breakfast, lunch and dinner and both Turkish and German food are really good.The most amazing thing is their Turkish tea and Turkish coffee and the pastry specially Baklava and the Tahini pastry.The staff are super kind and cool and friendly.

It is a casual restaurant. They have a great collection of draft beers. It is a great place for hangout with friends and family. No service. You just order at the counter and find a table to seat.They also have some turkish breakfast/ brunch. Although it is not the authentic one. Its still really good.Try their turkish breakfast and bread. Their rice pudding is delicious too.

Great variety in food and beverage options. Everything was well made and the outdoor dog friendly space is fantastic (they have several dog bowls out). You can order beverages and snacks via the app, but not food (wish the whole menu was available via table qr code). Would have liked more access to condiments (jams/jelly for toast and hot sauce for egg dishes), but having salt/pepper/sugars at the table and water just inside the door is convenient.

Last Saturday I came here for the second time and it was the proof/reaffirmation that it is a good place to eat. (breakfast, lunch, or dinner).Its dining area is cozy, spacious, and perfect for relaxing, enjoying your food, and the street view. I had the famous Turkish Breakfast (light, varied, and full of flavors that combined are very enjoyable), my friend ordered something safe and something traditional: traditional beef burger & gyro pita. He was very happy with both options (meat with good seasoning/taste and not greasy) and of course a traditional beer (he was really happy with the combination of food and beer).The staff is friendly and always looking if you need something, and ready to clean/disinfect the areas that are vacated to prepare them for the next people.Its menu is very varied and extensive, which will give you the opportunity to go more than once and enjoy all its options (and its desserts!)Bonus point: the location, it gives you the opportunity to walk -after eating (and not feeling so guilty about the dessert you ordered) through the whole Castro street and enjoy the atmosphere of the streets closed to cars.

The ambience of this place is nice. They have a lot of outdoor seating. Very good customer service. They have qr code for the drinks but you have to go inside to order food. I really wanted to try the salmon omelette. I did finish the whole omelette and had the hash brown and bread to go. It was good but pricey though.

I appreciate Olympus because I know that I can get a terrific breakfast there ANY time of day. They brew terrific pots of Turkish Tea. Their extensive outdoor patio dining layout suits my post-COVID sensibilities very well. Free public & off-street parking is just a stone’s throw away! Enjoy.

Nut allergy friendly! Except the desserts.Portions were fantastic at a reasonable price. The fries were a little hit or miss, though (some were perfect, others a little too soggy). But there were enough to satisfy a lunch craving.Only complaint is that food took different times between my party so one persons nearly got cold before the other was served.

I went the wrong way on the lightrail and stopped by here in my down time! Its a pretty nice looking place with friendly staff. Their banana bread is a little dry, but not bad at all. I also got a snowball, a cake with berry filling and coconut around the outside - it is very good and I certainly recommend it to anyone stopping by.

Nice to be able to order at the counter which is handy for large groups. The Bayern burger was delicious and had a nice chargrilled flavor. The fries were average in taste (could have used more seasoning) but came fresh out of the fryer. Im probably a bigger fan of the brunch and Turkish options. Beer and drink selection was limited and could be improved with a broader selection or a more rotating menu. Friendly service and would return for the convenience.

How come this place has 4.2 ratings anyways??? So disappointing!!! I usually never write bad reviews because most of the places deserve their ratings! But not this place!!! I have ordered the Turkish breakfast for 18$ and got 3 rotten cucumbers and 3 tomatoes that are more like okay compared to other stuffs on the plate! The olives are gone bad for sure! It had odor and texture after eating felt horrible for the rest of the day! As you can see on the picture, beef salami is also seems been cut few days earlier and served or what? The honey is not honey but a syrup that has some weird taste. Also they replaced Turkish smith with 3 small slices of pita bread. The pastry, sigara boregi also felt so old!!! I love the location and vibe of this place but what it was served today is just 100000 times disappointing! I wish they could improve it!!!

Came here on a Sunday morning and got the special Susec Menemen with the Turkey sausage and the peppers and pita! This place has a ton of outdoor seating and you get served relatively quickly I really enjoyed that they also had Exploding Kittens which I played before my food came. The pita was super flakey and tasty and the tomato flavor was really great and savory so the whole Turkish breakfast dish stood out a lot. Would come again.

I really like this fast casual Greek restaurant mixed with bierhauz in downtown Mountain View. The Greek salad dressing is savory and delicious. We also really like the pretzels with cheese. Their happy hour deal is one of the best in the area.

Very limited options for non-drinkers, just the usual coke, sprite etc. The other bars on Castro (St. Stephens, Ludwigs etc.) all at least have ginger beer. No gluten-free beer (unlike Ludwigs) and almost all of the menu cant be consumed by anyone with celiac disease that cant consume gluten or eat cross contaminated food (so the fries are out here, unlike at Ludwigs). I often come here with friends who like the place, but I just end up drinking water (and feeling miserable because I really do want a drink and I really do want to eat something).

Went there with a bunch of friends for a late evening grub. The place looked lively and there was a bit of a wait before we got to order our food. It was very pleasing to see them offering board games that you could enjoy while having your meals.We ordered a bunch of items namely, three Greek salads ( 1 of them was modified ), chicken and lamb souvlaki plates, salmon plate, veggie sandwich with fries, Tiramisu, Napoleon and a Carrot cake slice.The good quality could be between a 3.5 and 4 as some parts of the meat were not cooked well while the desert items were great.The lamb was a bit hard to chew on and had that smell in it that was not taken care of. Salmon plate was great and I ended up eating the side Pita bread with a couple of sauces that came along with the salmon plate.The chicken plate and the burger came out ok to good while the salads were good.Overall a great experience with great vibes all along, just that the food could have been a bit better and this would have been a 5 on 5!!!

Out-of-towner here. I come to this place just about every time I wind up in Mountain View. Its consistently good, and just about the only good breakfast option (is anything else on Castro St even open before 10?). Food, service, atmosphere is great. Tons of seating. I will never understand why this place has 4+ stars. All dishes we ordered were bland and over priced. They even managed to mess up French fries. We felt like we were eating cardboard. Overpriced flat beet and rude bar staff. Ordered and paid for drinks at bar, server said it would be dropped to table and gave me a number. Drinks didnt arrive so i went into the bar where the drinks were already sitting, completely flat; theyd obviously been sitting there for some time. I asked the Long haired bartender with a moustache could he top it up please...he said no way its perfect and pushed the drinks towards to infront of a bunch of other customers. I wouldnt mind the poor service and confrontational staff if I wasnt paying for extortionately high priced pints.

This is a surprisingly hidden gem in downtown. Olympus is just next to the train station, with plenty of outdoor seating, and some inside. The menu is fresh, and feels well made from what Ive tried. Dont skip, just walk in, and order one of the all day brrakfast items and a double espresso. Then take a seat and enjoy the scenery.

This is run by the same people who ran Ephesus, the restaurant up the street that closed in 2021. The food is more generic (burgers), with fewer Turkish specialties, and with a German influence. Accompanied by various beers. The deserts are especially varied and quite good. Overall its a good experience, prices are average for the area, and the food is well cooked. I just miss the old Ephesus.

Being by the train station is probably its best and worst quality.The beers:-- Wiehenstephan (Original): smooth and not hoppy at all. Great for IPA haters.-- Konig Pils: most people know this. Its a little hoppy-- Julian Cider: its not as sweet as other ciders but it has the 3rd highest ABV%. Reminds me of white wine but toned down so take that as you will.

Cute cafe adjacent to the Mountain View CalTrain station. They offer Middle Eastern quick bites, coffee, tea, and beer. They have an actual dark beer that doesnt gag you with sweetness but is smooth, tasty and goes well with their savory bites. The Turkish tea served there is a great alternative when you want a break from coffee. Ive been there on two different occasions having the Spinach Spanokopita, the Borek, the Pistachio Baklava and the coffee. I plan to stop in again because their desserts are not overly sweet.They have a large patio with twice as many tables as inside. They also bus the tables for you. Very nice staff. I think they all are family.

If you are looking for a nice Turkish spread breakfast, NEVER choose this place. The spread breakfast was not good and also too expensive. Cold boiled egg was not delicious. Olives were far away from Mediterranean olive taste. Little teapot and no refill. A Turkish spread breakfast is famous with unlimited tea. Tea is easy to brew and not expensive. Make money from something else. Don’t limit your breakfast customer’s black tea! I don’t know about other dishes. Maybe you can visit and try for other choice, I don’t recommend breakfast especially if you are familiar with Turkish spread breakfast taste and culture!

One of the waiters was unbelievably rude to me. I ordered the Dolmades, which, as you can see from the picture I took, INCLUDES PITA. This place WAS great. They used to bake their own (delicious) bread, their tea was steeped in kettles and had strong flavor, many baked breakfast items in the display cabinet at the cashier, good variety in freshly prepared Turkish breakfast dishes. Now the outside seating is beer-garten style, there are beer taps along a wall near the cashier, they serve heated pita that seems like store-bought vs. baking their own, tea is made in a big pot and diluted into smaller teapots, baked goods are fewer than previous visits. Service varies in all places, but the changes in food were a big disappointment. Think of this as a previously GREAT Turkish breakfast place that now instead serves American beer from a wall of taps and carried over some of their pre-beer-garten menu. If youre looking to have a beer outdoors with flavorful food options then this place is a good fit (except for the occasional CalTrain roar). If youre looking for a great Turkish breakfast place you might be disappointed.

Waited for an amazing 40 mins while staff was just loitering around. I double checked with the staff that my sandwich did not have mayonnaise and he looked into my eye and said it didn’t. I returned to my home only to find my sandwich with tons of mayonnaise and no risotto cake. The food quality was a 3/10. Cute little cafe with nice outdoor seating - pretty decent pastries, and they have cherry juice. Yum! I wasnt blown away by anything here, but I had no complaints either. Oh - except the people smoking nearby in their outdoor seating area. Could have done without that.

Cant wait to be back at work so I can drop by when taking the train for a litre of good brew. Was brought here by a German native, who was really happy to find a Kolsch from his home town. Was expecting to find Greek food (which I think you can get), but at least the Friday we were there it was eclipsed by the Biergarten.

The food is amazing. The staff taking orders is great. The staff serving food is so cold, that it sometimes ruins the whole experience.I still go to this cafe because of its nice location and food. If you visit, be sure to sit outside for a nice view.

Food and service was good. You order at the counter, and they give you a number so they can bring your order out to you. I got the turkish breakfast, which was satisfying and not heavy, and sat outside to people watch a little. The breakfast included a bread/pastry of the day, and whatever it was was delicious.

Greek name and lettering for a Turkish place? While thats a bit deceiving, I nevertheless wanted to give it a try, too, after passing by so often. OK getting over that false advertising: I love good Turkish food too, but this was a tasteless, Americanized thing. Lamb was dry, lettuce poured from a bag, disappointed. Neighboring other Turkish restaurants (with Greek names, too) are excellent, will stick to them for good Turkish food. Waitress and music were pleasant, though.

A great spot for brunch for small and large groups alike. Ive been to Olympus many times and have yet to find something on the menu that isnt wonderful - waffles, omelettes, pastries - its all really good! And definitely get the hash browns.

I have been going here for about a year now since the start of the pandemic. It’s on Castro street near Mtn View VTA/Caltrain station. They have excellent German beers year round and you get the Oktoberfest-like feel any time you go. Food here is really good too - they have starters (Pretzels, fries), Mediterranean(Gyro, Falafel), American (burger, sandwich). While I live pretty far from here, this is still the go-to spot for my wife and me on a Friday evening or even during the week. While I haven’t tried their wines, my wife tells me their Cabernet and Chardonnay compare to the wine you get served in a typical restaurant and bar. They also have coffee which sets them apart from other pubs cause you can now even go there with that friend who doesn’t drink. Parking here is convenient, you can park on the street or on the two lots just across the road.

This place has some really nice food for a decent price for the area. The inside is a little cramped but a good place to meet friends or have a meeting. The cakes are not as good as other places on Castro in my opinion but the Turkish stuff is really nice. I think there is a crochet group here one weeknight too.

Average Greek food. This is not so much authentic Greek food but more of a mix between Greek, Turkish and American food. Had high hopes yet food tasted quite bland. For better Greek food look elsewhere. While the food was okay, desserts were excellent!

If I had to put a label on it, Id call it a Turkish restaurant, but they also serve crepes and scrambles and other conventional breakfast cafe foods. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable - food ordering at the counter, order numbers on sticks, indoor and outdoor seating. Im definitely going back for more.

Not sure if it was because this was my first time eating Turkish food or what, but the meat in my breakfast tasted a bit wierd and shortly after I got a severe case of diahrea. It gets very busy in the morning, b so funny expect a refill on coffee unless you go up and stand there. Very nice folks though.

Service can be slow, you pay at the counter and they bring it to your table. At different times it can take them anywhere from 5-20min to bring tea with a cake. Food is good. Its near the road and Caltrain station, so can be quite noisy. Outdoor seating has shaded tables.

If you find Red Rock coffee too crowded, you might like this place. The staffs are good, food is fine, coffee is mediocre but who cares.Atmosphere is more relaxed than other tech-y coffee shops, but you still have wifi. I think their desserts are way too sweet, but thats probably pointless complaint, especially when what youre looking for is some downtown-walkable place that has tables and wifi with some snacks and coffee.Oh and they have breakfast and lunch which arent bad. Sometimes youll appreciate their existence.

Their signature omelet and banana strawberry Nutella crêpe were great. The omelet had turkey bacon, turkey ham (Hebrew National hotdogs) and Jack cheese, among other things. The mocha and lemonade were great, too. :-)
