Omogari in San Jose

Me and family usually come here for Spicy wings, Soy garlic wings and Flaming Fondue Chicken; They are all amazing. The Soy Garlic wings are tasty but sometimes it can get a little bit salty. If you eat it together with rice and veggie then its no problem at all. The spicy wings are perfect to eat by itself - it is very flavorful and satisfying. Their chicken wings have very nice crisp - try it yourself and youre not gonna regret. Flaming Fondue chicken is one of the popular options in the menu and theres a lot of cheese on the top but somehow it did not make me feel tired of it and I just wanted to eat more and more. Oh I especially fell in love with the potatoes side dish; I definitely come back for this.The service was good. Our server was well-trained - he was polite, attentive and looked happy while helping us. The restaurant is small inside but they do have more tables and chairs outside and it looks nice.

Had an authentic Korean meal of Rib eye and Short Rib Bibimbap, crispy-crunchy soy garlic wings, Seafood Pancake, Ban Chan and Spicy Seafood Tofu Soup.Very busy but service was great. We did have a slight wait to be seated but food came out quickly. Decent prices too.

Best Korean food so far! Its a medium size family owned restaurant. The food was amazing, there was a variety, good service and very big portions.We all loved it.

The food usually comes out quick. So this is perfect for a quick lunch break.Hot stone rice plates are good. Wings are 10/10. Katsu is okay.Parking can be rough. You might need to park a block away when it gets busy. Pay your meter.

We had dinners here twice in April and May 2023. Here are my ratings.First dinner:Stir-fried veggies &tofu: excellent. Veggies were not over cooked. The sauce was neither salty nor bland, just enough. It did not taste like regular stir-fried Chinese or Japanese food. It was really a home made special sauce. My vegetarian friend really like this dish.Seafood &tofu soup: good. Taste liked other tofu soup at other Korean restaurants. I liked it since it was not too salty.Fried tofu: so so. This was an appetizer dish. Fried soft tofu with no seasoning and dip with regular soy sauce. Personally, this dish was bland. However, the tofu tasted much better if eating with their kimchi since their kimchi was excellent. Overall, it was a good dinner.Second dinner:Beef short ribs: excellent. The meat was marinated perfectly, little sweet, little salty, and a hint of sesame oil. Some pieces were a little burn but tasted still good. This was the most expensive dish.Flaming fondue chicken: excellent. This is a spicy dish but they could adjust the spiciness to your liking. White chicken meat stir-fried with their sauce (little spicy and sweet), carrots, green beans, peas. The chicken and veggies were stir-fried with the sauce first, then put on a hot heavy plate with cheese cover the whole plate, then the cheese was melted by a torch. The chicken was very tender. The cheese gave a smooth and rich taste and also balanced the spiciness and sweetness of the sauce. It was fun to watch how they prepare it. This is one of their popular dishes.Stir-fried veggie & beef: just ok. This dish was too salty to our taste. Even the meat and veggies were tender, I could not give it a high rating. It was the same dish we ordered few weeks ago but with tofu. Somehow, this time was not great. Overall, it was a good dinner. We dined here twice on Saturday around 6pm and the wait was not bad, about 5 minutes. Staff were very nice, attentive and quick refilled the side dishes. I recommend this place for good Korean food.

Loved the food here. The side dishes, the main dish, everything was just so perfect. I got the chicken fondue and chicken kimchi fried rice. The portions are really big and cannot stress enough about how good it was 😅😅.The fondue was supposed to be spicy as per the menu but I didn’t find it very spicy as it had some sweet kick to it.

Quality homemade comfort food. Would recommend the salad for the tonkatsu to be shredded cabbage instead of hand torn lettuce but overall this place is great. Community loves it. Outside seating is dog friendly. Takeout is plentiful!

Several of my coworkers who are originally from Korea, raved about Omogari!Do yourself a favor and visit this enjoyable restaurant. We felt the staff truly cared about our dining experience. Also, the food was absolutely amazing.However, some of the protein choices are unreasonably over priced. For, example $30 for 7 individual pork ribs & short ribs!We ordered japchae, beef short ribs, stir fry squid and spicy chicken. Everything was delicious with tons of flavor, the right amount of heat and the short ribs were grilled perfectly.Absolutely one of the best experiences we had in awhile. Highly recommend Omogari!

Local Korean restaurant, seems to be very popular around the area as you can tell from the crowd during lunchtime. Homemade style dishes. Tasty. Cozy vibe with not too fancy decoration.

This place was bustling when we visited for dinner. The wait time was about 30min. The location is a bit small but really nice.Service was great and the food was good. We ordered some ribs smothered in cheese, but I wouldnt do that. The cheese didnt add any flavor. Just eat the ribs by themselves.Their location is connected to the karaoke place next door so its fun to hear those folks sing but they close the door if people think its noisy.
