This place at first glance is somewhat unassuming. Their restaurant name isnt directly over the entrance and instead have the words Korean BBQ in the most generic font ever. This in turn gave off one of those cheap places youll go to if you had no choice kind of feeling.The menu here is pretty limited but the prices are quite high. The side dishes, provided free and unlimited, were pretty good, and the servers are your typical Korean old ladies who are pretty passionate about their job.Now to the food ordered. They have one fish that requires you to order 2 of minimum of you want to eat it. This essentially is a full order for a meal of 3-4 which kind of sucks if you wanted to order other food too. The dish in question is $42 each, and being a mandatory 2 of, makes it $84. The station stipulation can already dissuade a lot of people from ordering this dish, which can be considered one of their signature.If I had to describe the dish, imagine someone similar to hot pot meat but with the Korean Soup taste youll have in the morning if you had to those Korean restaurants. The dish itself has enough flavor that you didnt need to use extra sauce when eating.We also ordered the bibimbap since we thought it might not be good, given the first order has no starch in it. The bibimbap wasnt very good and I would not order it again.Would I come here again though? Probably not as their prices are somewhat high for the amount of food you get and the variety you have access too. The quality here is pretty good, but in the current economy, I cant really justify eating here vs the many other Korean places available.

You can build your own plate choosing from meats like char siu pork, teriyaki chicken, Mongolian beef, and sweet garlic shrimp. There are also vegetarian options like mapo tofu and bok choy.

When I visit my father, we always dine in here. Bulgogi is their signature dish! I also order spicy braised black cod fish which is so yummy!!! If servers know you service is great! Always bring out random side dishes and a complementary drink for regulars?( My dad and brother). Love the bold taste and all side dishes are delicious.Make sure to RSVP to avoid waiting.

The food is always great here! Each and every menu Ive tried has been delicious! When I want reliably good Korean food, this is the place I come to.Ive tried the Kimchi Jjigae, Yukgae Jang, Shiraegi Godung-O Jorim, Galchi Jorim, Thistle Dolsot Bibim Bap, Haemul Pajeon, Nakji Bokkeum, most of their cold noodles, Ugaji Tang, and Daeji Bulgogi Ssambab. This all over the course of many years.

You have to order the right food to know it’s tasty. We got the Yetnal Bulgogi 얫날 불고기 (tastes similar to sukiyaki) and spicy 🌶 Agu-Jjim (Blackmouth angler fish stewed) which comes with a plethora of sprouts. You dip it in the soy sauce and wasabi.

This is the first time I visit here and try the BBQ for lunch. To be honest, everything is super average and nothing goes beyond my expectations. I feel like I can even cook that at home and I will rather go to a all-you-can-eat BBQ.

A very solid Korean BBQ spot. Good variety of banchan. The two meats I ordered, chadol and seng bulgogi, were both good. The seng bulgogi was new to me. It reminded me a bit of sukiyaki. There were 3 dipping sauces: one was like a salty sesame oil, another was soy based, and the third was like a chili paste. The flavor of the seng bulgogi with the chili sauce reminded me of pho. They also provided rice paper squares, which added to the pho-like flavor. The complimentary salads were well composed. The haemul pajeon was slightly more eggy than I’ve had at other places, but I liked it like that. The yuk dae jang was also solid. There wasn’t anything that I ordered that I didn’t like.

According to the waitress broth spicy level will depend on the day it is made. - last two times weren’t spicy but not it is. - no disclosure that it might be spicy.Waitress kept on rushing to cook the food. We were rushed. She just kept dumping the meat on the grill even though we still have first rounds left.She put the BILL on our table even though WE WEREN’T DONE. We didn’t even ask for it. They even brought out TOGO BOX when we didn’t even ask for it. Felt like they were rushing us to get out.Oh, the bells were ringing nonstop and waitresses just ignores.Was the restaurant busy? NOPE. Total of maybe 5-6 less than 10 tables. Whew. Worst experience ever.

Food was ok but way overpriced and service was pretty bad. I was ignored the whole time so I decided I wouldn’t tip.( one of the few times I don’t tip) Oddly enough the lady chased after us to inform us that tip wasn’t included 😂I gave her $13 and was on my way . I would have preferred almost any where else and I won’t be coming back. I’m pretty sure it won’t hurt them, I’m not the targeted audience.

Updated review: ownership changed. I dont know when this happened, but I think its been a while. Ive moved away since and its a bit of a drive to get here. Food is still great but the service was really slow. Had to ask for things multiple times. Place is not as well kept as it used to be.... Looks old and dated. But the most important thing is the food is still great. Just expect things to move slower.Old review: Best Korean bbq restaurant in the area. I have been coming here since it opened. Same owner since inception. You have to check it out. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend it .

I’m asian but not korean i’m filipino and everyone else eating was korean and they had amazing service they were asked if they want water and rice but every time we tried to ask for something the waiter would walk right past us so in my opinion we were being discriminated against by every waiter there. an old nice korean man had to grab the attention of a waiter (when he raised his hand he grabbed the attention right away) he told them that we’ve been asking for someone for like 5 minutes

The service was absolutely terrible. The lady did not even acknowledge us as customers, we had to ask for our orders to be taken. When she did acknowledge us, she had the nastiest attitude and was extremely rude. We did not get our food until we spoke up about how long it was taking. She took forever to even give us the cold side dishes, which does not require much time since its not being cooked. We tried to get another waitress to help us but, she was just as rude. The food was pretty decent, but this place had the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Menu is a little confusing only because certain specials they have are only available during the weekdays and not weekends (and those specials save you alot of $$$). Other than that the food was amazing and the waitresses are very polite and helpful and they are currently doing outdoor dining. They serve fresh and prime meat and are not stingy with portions but just a bit on the pricey side would definitely go back again!!!

Not cheap and not overly expensive either. I liked the beef taste. The problem was the beef being overly chewy. One has to constantly chew for a few minutes and then spit out what is left of the beef in ones mouth. Sort of reminds me of some beef jerky 😳. Loved their cold appetizer noodles that they serve though. My bill was around $40

Pricy but its worth it. One of the best services Ive been to so far. They cooked the food for you every time they stop by. They stopped by every 5 minutes. The meat is delicious. Good quality meat. Their food did not disappoint. This place is worth the money.Downside to this is the parking because its small. Its LA and you got to pay for parking. Unless you get lucky and got a spot on the street.

Went here with my family over the weekend (1:15pm saturday) towards the end of the lunch rush. It took a long time for them to come and take our order and getting refills on side dishes and water felt nearly impossible.We ordered 2 servings of the seng bulgogi - which is sliced beef, mushrooms, and spinach all cooked in broth at the table. You are required to order at least 2 servings of this (each serving is over 30 bucks), buckwheat noodle + galbi combo, and marinated pork + ssam combo.The food was good, but for a party of 6, we may have needed to order one more serving of the seng bulgogi as a couple of the guys were still hungry after our meal.Although the food was good, the service was horrible. We asked for the check 5 times and finally ended up going to the front to pay. As we waited to pay, they asked us how many thinking that we just came in to be seated. We couldve easily left the restaurant without them noticing....

The only item I have ordered here is their specialty, Seng Bulgogi and it never disappoints. There is a minimum of two orders with this menu item so the quantity is more than enough for two people. This is also the only location where I have seen the Korean thistle bibimbap on the menu. Service is fast and attentive, and they also take reservations even on weekends so dont forget to call in early if you have a large group.

This is authentic comfort Korean food at its best. Their specialty is the special bulgogi bbq which is more sukiyaki style with a soy sauce based marinade. But be warned. You must order two servings which will cost you $29.99 per serving. So $60! But its quite worth the cost. You must also try their seafood green onion mung bean pancakes. Crispy on the outside but soft and flavorful on the inside. The other item you must try is the kimchee stew. Its so prefect. I also frequently have the water-based cold noodles with the Korean LA ribs, galbi, on the side. The service is not bad but not excellent either, just like most Korean places. It is what it is.

This was our first visit and we didnt look at any reviews so we had no expectation. Overall the food was average but service is not good. Once we got our food, we never saw the waitresses again. They never came to ask if our food was ok or to refill our drinks. Since this is not all-you-can-eat bbq, the price is too high.

The restaurant’s Seng Bulgogi copper plate barbecue is the most spectacular. It is served for 2 people and adds cold noodles for a change. It seems to be enough for 4 people. The appetizers are just right, very appetizing and go well with the meal. The cold noodles are also cool and refreshing, cold, spicy and delicious. At this time, the copper plate barbecue arrived, which really made people take a breath of air. It was really scary. Watching the store skillfully place the meat and vegetables on the copper plate to cook, we added a large glass of beef stock, and the aroma was overflowing. The beef in Korean cuisine is always tender and delicious. The side dishes are spinach, bean sprouts and mushrooms, cooked in beef soup, which is great. Beef dipped in spicy sauce and wrapped in radish slices or rice noodle wrappers, well, for me, it is a new way to eat, one bite of beef and one bite of soju,The whole mountain of beef was wiped out, which is also impressive.

I was really hungry after playing golf, so I placed an order in advance over the phone on the way to the restaurant, and when I arrived, the table was already set up, so I was very thankful. I brought a guest from out of state, and the food was really good. I ate raw beef bulgogi and a lot of vegetables. It was perfect for a healthy meal. I was happy to see that the waitresses were also friendly.

The price is very expensive. Compared to the price, it is not as delicious as the reviews say. Personally, I do not recommend it in terms of the food and overall service. The atmosphere was too noisy, they brought you your bill before you even ate, and this was my first time seeing a restaurant where people piled crystals and plates and carried them by hand, so this is a place I never want to go to again.
