The food is very mid. Go sized portions though. If your looking for something to grab quick this isnt the place. I went in and there was nobody there this time and it took about 20 minutes to get my food. For it being average food and such a long wait all the time Ill just go to primos next door lol

Disappointed. This place used to be good.Maybe it was the timing but went today and the food was terrible. Katsu chicken had more breading than chicken...actually I couldnt really taste/find the chicken. The beef was tough and burnt. The Cabbage was good.

Stopped in for some grindz on a suggestion from my brother.Staff at the register was very friendly and helpful, being my first time there I had questions about the combos and she was very patient and led me the right way.Location is clean and spacious, plenty of room for small groups, soda fountain, good sauce and condiment bar.Ended up ordering an Aloha combo with BBQ and Katsu chicken. Served with scoop of rice, Mac salad, and steamed cabbage/broccoli - that was definitely a nice addition ( to add some health value) to this already monster combo. Might even be able to share one of these. The Katsu Chicken was hearty and fried perfectly. The BBQ chicken was cooked very well, but was a little salty for my taste. Theac salad and veggies were on point. Also sampled beef which was pretty good as well.They also have Hawaiian Sun canned juices!

During a recent visit, took my little one in for. Kids meal and ordered the chicken katsu. I requested the broccoli be held from the plate. I was told I could remove it myself. Dont order sauce on Door dash from them. I always add in my notes please and thank you to add teriyaki sauce. One time they didnt put any after I called to confirm that they would, then the next I put it in the notes on every item I ordered. And they gave me all katsu sause. What is wrong with the employees? Ive order from here so many times! The last straw is when they burned my Kalbi Ribs, and I had to go when I paid for delivery. To get my order remade. I use to love this place. No it ruins my appetite.

I ended up getting the plate that comes with 2 entrees and man I gotta say the chicken they serve is very delicious and well cooked. The food was pretty standard. I enjoyed it, but the portions were smaller than other Ono Hawaiian BBQ restaurants I have been to. The employees were nice.I gave my experience 3 stars because it was so warm in the dining area and the restrooms were filthy, I can only imagine what the kitchen looked like. The walls and some of the booths in the dining area looked like they could use a good scrubbing as well.

Love this place the people are nice and the restaurant is clean. The girls always are smiling. And the guys in the back are always cooking. It seems to me those guys really care about how they cook the food you look very patient but move very quickly and continue working all the time. The Cooks in the back are constantly working. My hat goes off to them because they make great food. And they have great communication with the crew in the front. The girls are very kind and if you ask for a certain kinds of sauces theyre happy to give them to you with no extra charge. God bless them for being so positive very happy to go get food there

I really enjoy their food but my last visit unfortunately, the customer service was slow. I called my order in and they told me it would be 20 minutes. I arrived 25 minutes later. Once there, I was not attended to for almost 5 minutes. I told the girl I was there to pickup an order and my order was still not ready. I waited 20 minutes. There were people there before me but Im guessing they were walk-ins. I strongly suggest to call in first

Food is okay, not great. The kiddos really like the pasta salad, so I usually only ordered that. Their service at the location is decent enough. Call on the phone though and theyll put you on hold, then hang up on you. Has happened to me twice already after waiting for over 6 minutes on each call. Frankly, it isnt worth my time.

This location is always staffed with friendly people and they are quick and efficient and the food is always delicious and freshly made. They keep sauces readily available and when I place a phone order from the freeway it is always ready as soon as I pull up to my exit. Love this location!

Went here to just get something small only wanted to order a side of protein due to not being able to eat rice or pasta. I was told the only way to do that was to pay for the whole plate, but then they just wont give me the rice or pasta, but didnt offer to discount it since they would be charging full price for the meal. So I decided not to order since thats paying more for something than its worth.

Ono Hawaiian BBQ is a titan when it comes to their genre of food. Portions are hearty, prices are fair, and the quality is consistent no matter which location to go to! The chicken katsu is great, not dry or over breaded with the perfect amount of seasoning. The macaroni salad is arguably my favorite part of the combo, a perfect offset to any protein!

Island Fire chicken is my favorite. The BBQ chicken is great also. I normally dont like macaroni salad, but I love theirs. They portions are large usually I get 2 meals out it. Service has always been on point. You can call in your order so you dont have to wait, the island fire chicken is usually a 10 minute wait.

Thank God for Ono Hawaiian.Update: Ive switched to Kosher for spirtual faith reasons and health reasons & i will miss the food here. I wont be eating here as much and not because of the portion, taste and quality. Same goes for INN & OUT. Jesus didnt do away with the law and the prophets and thats why I honor Gods holy Sabbat on Saturday as the 7th day of the week to rest & Gods commands on how and what to eat. I am a corporate worker for a widely known food delivery service & was doing my routine deliveries to make sure merchants were abiding by our policies & meeting us half way with standards...Well, this location FAILED miserably. Not only was there A FLY & a BABY cockroach in the order, they didn’t fill the order completely & to top it off, were not abiding by the rules we have in place with the merchant to create a fast, easy pick up environment.I mean, we are serving THEIR customers ultimately so how sad that a franchise would sabotage their self this way. First, the BBQ beef is ok, had that and the Island Fiery plate (dont remember the exact name but the meat in the photo looks red).Island Fiery meat is drenched in some red sauce that has no flavor and also its not spicy at all, the name is deceiving. My son sat on the bench right next to the door and the seat slid off and he fell right through the framing and scraped his hip. I mentioned this to the cashier and she reset the seat and just said the seat comes off. No sorry. No apologies. Didnt ask if he was okay. In fairness, I always order the Chicken Katsu here. Even the smaller lunch portion comes with a big scoop of rice - sticky enough to stay in form when you add your choice of sauces - a nice scoop of macaroni salad and a bottom layer of cabbage.Yum !!!!They make the only macaroni salad I like and it is served in a scoop large enough for two to share. In fact, my husband and I always split a meal here and have food left over.Do not miss their Crab Rangoon, though I warn you that it is tasty enough to be addicting.The Katsu sauce goes with everything on my plate and Ono lets you help yourself so you will definitely have your fill even if you like to drown your rice and cabbage in the sauce. Oh, they also have terryaki sauce, hot Chinese mustard, soy sauce, chili sauce .. . .The employees are cheerful and always say welcome as you come through the door. I like that. It really does make me feel welcomed.

I have a bad experience on this location, a week ago I was in Riverside and order Hawaiian mix (chicken, bbq beef and kalbi) they gave me a lot of meats, I didnt finished it because there was a lot. This was in Riverside location (Madison) So I figure I want to order for my grandsons birthday. I ordered 3 plates of Hawaiian mix and 3 plates of chicken Katsu. I didnt open it because I trust them. When I get home and open the plates, each of the Hawaiian mix had only ONE kalbi ribs!!! and small portion of bbq beef and three pieces of chicken. I was so mad but I will never never go back to that place again. And I wasnt going to give any star but It wont post it. So one star even though they dont it!!!
