Orchid Thai Restaurant & Bar in Sacramento

Pleasantly surprised to find a great Thai restaurant in Sacramento which was perfect for family lunch! Authentic tasting!

Would look elsewhere. Other Thai near southern edge of grid for example. I’m vegetarian so that’s the focus of this review. Beware of ordering anything with mixed vegetables because the mix is mostly bell pepper and onion, 2 of my least favorite veggies. Of course this is personal preference. The Tom Yum soup is too acidic. Wings are overly salty. Enough said

First time here last month with friends and Im glad I tried it. We had fried rice, spring rolls, Thai teas, potstickers, drunken noodles, and the papaya salad... so good! Absolutely recommend the papaya salad and noodles.

The food Is really good, I did not feel that the food was 100% pure Thai food, but it was very tasty. Good table service. Prices are good fair, and good quantities of food in each dish. The decoration of the place is pretty nice. The good thing is that they close at 9,30 pm on week days that give you 30 minutes extra than the others restaurants in the area. I totally recommend it. Something really amazing is that the restaurant has a parallel vegetarian menu with all type of options. This us a pluss! Give it a try!

Crab meat fried rice was good! But Very unfriendly restaurant waiters/cashiers! Sorry not sorry! I wasn’t warmly welcomed that’s for sure. I’m used of it though especially in this area of town. Great ambiance to enjoy well crafted Thai dishes. Many of the dishes are a twist on authentic Thai. Try the red curry seafood and fried salmon for interesting flavors. Service is good as well. Two pieces of feedback for the restaurant: Clean the dish with the chillies on the table, on our table and next to ours they were all dirty. Reconsider the live singer, the guitar player was untalented and his singing out of tune. The music is also too loud.

Our favourite place to go when we’re in Sacramento. The best part is that they have a separate vegetarian menu. The food is super yum and quantity is generous. I would highly recommend to try their drunken noodle!

Three stars for the friendly service. I ordered a take out and the portions are a joke considering it costs 20 dollars a entree with tax. I dined in a few times and the portions were great. Felt ripped off. Key takeaway. Never order to go from this place.

This was the easily the best restaurant I’ve eaten at in Kingston, Jamaica. I ordered fried rice for in-restaurant dining and ordered curry and pad Thai to take home. I enjoyed the curry and fried rice the most. My server(s) provided a nice selection of condiments to increase the spice level of the dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant and would gladly visit again.
