Orens Hummus in Los Gatos

Most incredible, fresh, flavorful Israeli food I have ever had. It was actually shocking to me how good the food was, even despite the beautiful location, decor, and reviews. The pita bread was thick and fresh and the smell was mouthwatering. My Hummus Jaffa was thick and gorgeous and the olive oil was top notch. I really enjoyed the yellow garlic falafel - so warm and so tasty! - and normally, I’m not even into falafel. My pickles and olives side was refreshing and just what I was hoping for.Also, the prices are incredible given the quality of the food!Customer service was so great, too. I don’t think it’s possible for them to do anything better here - perfection!

The food was good. I ordered chicken rice bowl and the chicken was juicy. I’d rather hummus instead of tahini as a side. The falafel was delicious but a bit dry. The service wasn’t the best, our server was slow and we had to ask couple times for water refills, napkin, etc!

Yum! What a fun sampler plate! Lots of great spices.The staff was very friendly, and the service was attentive.Update: I went back, and this time I brought a friend. I tried the chicken hummus bowl this time, and it was also great! Andrew waited on us both times. Hes kind and professional, and really knows what he is doing. Thank you Andrew!

Pros: good selection of food and beverages, refreshing coleslaw served at the beginning, cute outdoor seatingCons: slow service, sometimes the server never returned for the request we had made, food was very disappointing:schnitzel and beef kebab were super hard and dry, basmati rice looked old.

Orens has always been delicious, but this particular location had some of the best service for a casual dine-in restaurant I have ever experienced. The manager was super kind and attentive and followed back up with us personally to make sure our meal was good. The servers were similarly excellent. The food was delicious, but Orens is usually consistently excellent with their food. Always love taking friends to Orens and will be coming to this particular location when I can.

Great place for Israeli food, even though it is a chain. Being in other Orens locations I thought this one in Los Gatos had a better feel and probably a taste too. The food looked fresh and the service was super friendly. Ordered hummus chicken and Sabich pita (mostly vegetables). Will repeat next time I am around

I LOVE there chicken skewers! Moist and flavorful. Best chicken Ive had in Los Gatos actually. Their fresh made red pepper sauce on the table is incredible on the rice, pita and or chicken too! The thicker Hummus they have there is unique and delightful too!

Our server dytano was fabulous! We felt like he really really catered to us. He gave us a lot of information about the food and the background of the food. The only reason they are getting a 4 star is because of 2 things: the faux lamb was amazing we came at 6 pm in a Sunday and unfortunately after placing the order, we were notified that they were out of enough lamb for 3 3 dishes and only had enough for 2 . I feel that a restaurant should be prepared at 6, I can understand 8 pm but not 6 pm on a weekend. Also the lentil soup was horrible! No flavor. Not one shred of salt . All in all it was good. I will give them one more chance another time.

We are the first customers in this place for lunch, so the services are really satisfying. 😉Foods are fresh, delicious & well arranged in plates. Chicken skewer is tender. Vegetable skewer is tasty. White pita & Hummus are perfect matched. Hot sauces are spicy enough to satisfy my appetite. Personally I like fried cauliflower & coleslaw best!

-Middle eastern style cuisine with tasty hummus,-not as good as other location in Palo Alto but still considerable as a good dining experience,-Staffs are friendly and polite.-A bit pricey but not too much-Recommended
