Delicious and plenty for great value. Came before closing so they were running out of what was available (which I definitely dont blame them for) and was still able to get plenty of food for my son and myself. Seating outside so dont expect a sit down restaurant. Its short order with no place to sit inside.

Fast and easy service. The atmosphere is kind of numb. The Food is OK and typical. The portion is right for the price. I would not recommend it as a date night place or anything but if you need a filling lunch for a good price then this is the place to go.

Its really about a solid 3.5. The taste of the food is standard fast Chinese food from the steam table combined with fairly good price and portion size (value). Beats Panda Express at the very least.Overall, if this is what youre looking for, it can hit the spot. Four of us ate plenty of food for $40. The taste isnt going to blow anyone away (in a good way or a bad way) but everyone will probably be full and their wallet will be ok.Salted chicken was probably the best dish we got.

My family has been going to this place for years and it’s my fiancé’s favorite fast Chinese food! I always bring him back a big combo plate of the salt and pepper fish, lemon chicken, and chow mein. Generous portions, fast, and very tasty. The dumplings and egg rolls are really tasty as well.

Finally decided to give this place a try considering its right next door to one of my favorite sushi spots. (Senro Sushi) Im glad I stopped in because you get so much food for the price, like seriously panda express has nothing on this place. Chicken was recommended by the worker and it was decent for chinese, I wasnt expecting it to be gourmet or anything but for like 10 bucks you get over a pound of food so dont complain.

Staying in San Ramon for our 24th Anniversary trip to Bay Area, NAPA and Reno. On way back from NAPA we decided on Chinese so we stopped in at Orient Express before heading back to hotel. Line was out the door, which was a good sign. Those in line were regular patrons and gave rave reviews on the food. We ordered the lemon chicken with fried rice plate and two huge vegetable egg roles. 1 Portion plate was enough to feed 3. Food was delicious. Proprietor threw in some salt and pepper chicken on the house for us to try, it was tasty as #%*€. Highly recommend them whenever in San Ramon, portion size for very economical price was well worth the wait in long line which btw was relatively shorter wait time than expected👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

The food quality is bad. I ordered the HK Style Crispy Noodles, and the Singapore Fried Noodles. The portion is right, but Singapore Fried Noodles was very salty. As for the crispy noodle, they put the sauce on top of the noodle instead of a separate container for the sauce. which is common sense. When i told them that if you put them together the crispy noodle would no longer be crispy, the response was this is how they do it because this is HK Style!!!

I prefer to support small local businesses, so after an appointment, my 2 sons & I were in the mood for Chinese. Im glad we decided to give the Orient Express a try.Its a very small place, probably best suited for take-out because theres almost no place to sit for dine-in.But that doesnt reflect on the quality & quantity of the food. To me, it reminds me of the hole-in-the-wall places youd find in the city. No fluff, just really delicious authentic Chinese food.I got the hot sour soup, & it was one of the best Ive had in a long time. My sons were equally impressed with their dishes as well. My wife & daughter got food from there on our recommendation & they were also very happy.The staff was friendly & patient with us being that it was our 1st time there, so that helps.So, if youre in San Ramon & hungry, skip the maistream places & give the Orient Express a try. Ill definitely be going back there again.

This place is awesome when I used to work in San Ramon I used to go there often, their food is great for it being fast Chinese food. Their salt and pepper chicken I would say stands out from the other dishes you can get there. They are very well priced for the amount of food you get and the service there has been great to me no complains to them about that. But it is not all that clean place nor does it have any seating inside because it is small but there are couple of tables outside that you can sit and eat. But it is mostly to go kinda restaurant.

This used to be my go to place when i have exhausted my options and am lazy about thinking what to eat. Their choices are limited. Price has gone up but so has everything else, they are still one of the cheapest with the most portions. You get the most bang for your buck. The taste is pretty consistent. I used to purchase food here about 2x per week pre-pandemic, i might have gotten tired of it for now so maybe 6 months was the last time i have been here. Try their salt and pepper chicken, its their bestseller.

Been coming here for years. Love the food and the staff there. Every time I visit California I make sure to stop by and order out. This is the one place that cant be beat! With Chinese food being my favorite there is no other restaurant anywhere that I know who does it better.

My dad and I are regulars here. Super friendly family owned business. Food is a little greasy, but I absolutely love it. They pack as much as they can in for you.Almost all of the businesses next to it have gone in and out multiple times in the last few years alone, while they have been there consistently since 1990. Highly recommend.

THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST CHINESE TAKEOUT IN THE AREA, its been a corner stone of the community, and my diet, for more than a decade! Orient Express will always have a special place in my heart, and stomach. I love this restaurant 💙 and I will be very sad to see them go, but some of my best memories were had sharing Orient Express with my friends, and Ill always be thankful for that.

Woke up at 3am in a frantic sweat. Remembered the traumatic experience I had with Oriental Express. The year was 2019. My friend suggested to try Oriental Express for lunch. I had heard other people within my circle saying they enjoyed the food at this establishment. So I decided to give it a go. Upon entering the facility, I was quickly met by an ambient temperate higher than the natural human body(98.6). There was condensation forming behind the glass of the display. In disbelief, I witnessed water droplets drizzling down the windows of the display. As if it had gone 6 rounds with Mike Tyson(in his prime). My stomach over powered my better judgement, and I decided to forgo opting for a large plate. We then proceeded to the outside dining area to consume what could only be described as “satan in a styrofoam container.” After ingesting half of my plate, I began to feel funny. Next morning I wake up with phenomena. What gives?

If youre looking for quick Chinese food this is a decent place to stop. Big portions at relatively cheap price. Ive found that you can easily split the take out into 2 or 3 meals. Food tastes fine in opinion. The interior is nothing special. More of a grab and go to of restaurant. There is also a small shared seating area just outside the restaurant

The service here was unaccommodating, I asked to sub my starch for vegetables and they wouldn’t do it without charging me for an entire extra meal. I even asked them to give me less of my main, but they refused. Aside from that, the meat dishes were all dark meat that didn’t taste fresh at all and the sauce was extremely salty. The store was very messy and looked a bit unclean. I would not recommend this place at all and will not be giving it a second chance. If you’re in the neighborhood, go next door to Patra Indian, it’s a much better choice. I left a review on there too.

The best in the area! We have been going here since they opened in 1990. The food is so delicious. The staff is friendly and service is quick. I will be sad when they close, but thank you orient express for sharing your amazing food with us❤

Great food, great portions, great price. They have the best pot stickers, lemon chicken, and fried rice. The chow mein and sweet and sour pork is also pretty good. Some of the staff isnt very friendly, but the others are very friendly.

1st time visitor long time Chinese food eater at different places all cross USA. This tiny place food quality 1 star. Smelly chicken, huge size noodles, overly cooked rice, feel like chicken was old or cooked days ahead. For portions 4 star. I give below average ratings. Sorry I have to throw my food after few bites.

What this place lacks in quality it makes up for in quantity, price, and service. There is no such thing as a single-serving here - you will be taking home more than one meal whether you like it or not. Some of the more adventurous dishes might scare away those not familiar with conventional Asian cuisine. If this sounds like you, stick with the chicken and rice.

Pretty well priced, but Ive seen cheaper while also being better quality. steam table selection is relativley small. The chow mein and lemon chicken are both pretty good, but pot stickers were a bit too salty.Overall, I was satisfied, but doesnt compare to my favorite chinese takeout in Fremont.

Decided to try one Thu late afternoon with no customers inline. The service lady seemed to be in some sort of a hurry and was pretty rude and unaccommodating to my request for hot oil. She seemed clueless with the final comment being What do you want...here is the container, go take it.Anyhow, to avoid her from getting too hot and salty, I made a quick exit only to find later the salt and pepper chicken to be utmost terrible. Just pieces of fried smelly chicken. The noodles were equally distasteful. Its perplexing that they have been in business for 30 years serving cheap and terrible food.I would recommend nearby joints located in Market place and Crow canyon one (next to Fedex) which have far better quality of food and service.

My favorite fast Chinese food place! Great selection at the counter for immediate take out or order from their menu with only a short wait. Call in your menu orders before you go to avoid the wait. Prices are very reasonable and havent gone up much over several years

Chicken is undercooked and the lady at the counter is extreamly rude. Worst food I’ve ever had. When I asked about the chicken being pink and undercooked, she said it was because of “the marinade”. I’ve been eating chicken my entire life and know what raw chicken tastes and looks like. Just awful...
