2023-12-07 02:47:48Wonderful spot for a nicer dinner date. Sushi was phenomenal, and their special dishes were all delicious. When I come back, I will definitely be getting their green eyed fish karaage again. My wife and I came here for a belated birthday celebration and ended up ordering WAY too much food. Still worth it!

2023-10-02 22:02:20The food is very good here. Sushi fresh and tasty. I especially like that some of the dishes say live, they then prepare them and serve them. Very freshWait staff is great as wellMake reservations or you will be waiting

2023-08-18 05:41:51What can I say. Great sushi, great Shabu, great service equals a great Friday night. First off, they squeezed us in before the reservation crowd which was very cool, but then never really rushed us either. Our server was awesome and she had a great sense of humor as well. The quality of the food here is phenomenal too. Would eat here every night if I could.

2023-12-10 04:46:54The countertop to have shabu and sushi is the best. You can choose your shabu broth from chicken broth, kelp, to spicy miso. Always a nice treat for dinner but you can’t go wrong with lunch and walk it off around Old Town.

2023-11-18 18:45:24We came on Saturday around noon saw a line out of the door but we got to speak to the hostess in about 5-10 minutes then got seated right away! We were fine with sushi counter but if you wanted the big table might be longer. The space is pretty limited and filled up quick. Also if you come for hot pot that would be 1 hour wait given they only have very few pots available. So reservation definitely recommended for large group and hot pot!Food: we got chicken karaage (4/5) for apps. Sushi we got otoro (4/5) sweet shrimp (5/5) uni (5/5) salmon belly (5/5 must get!!) ika (4/5) and scallop (4/5). Everything was really good but my favorites are salmon belly (!!) and sweet shrimp. I would also like to try some specials next time.Service was friendly and quick. We got to sit at the counter and watch the chefs making sushi which I very much enjoyed!Overall this place is small but mighty. Price is a bit higher than your neighborhood sushi spot but the quality speaks for itself so totally worth it in my book!

2023-06-21 03:58:15Really nice restaurant with great food and service. Servers were super friendly and checked on us several times throughout the meal. Whole family enjoyed their dishes. I had the Shokado Bento. Steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Sashimi was fresh and tasty.

2023-10-11 06:24:16This is one of my most favorite Japanese restaurants ever. The food is high quality. The price is reasonable. The vibe is mellow enough for you to absorb the taste of the food. The strength of this restaurant is that they are so well-round. Every dish they make is good, may it be fried dish, sushi, grilled fish, curry, you name it. The only downside is that they close too often lol.

2023-07-01 14:46:17As a sushi lover, I was disappointed with the quality of the fish. When sushi tastes fishy, it’s not high quality fish and/or it’s not fresh. I got their $110 Premium Omakase Sashimi box set and almost barfed with 5 of their pieces… I had to swallow them down with water… service was great but unfortunately it does not make up for the bad fish!

2023-02-27 19:15:29We couldnt get ahold of a reservation so we decided to walk in. We had a party of 7 and they told us it would have been a 1h-1h30 wait and we were fine with that. Not too long after, they asked us if they could split our party up and we said that was fine. They told us it would be another 20 minutes but it ended up being 50 minutes before we got seated. They made up an excuse and said that it would be rude to combine our tables once we were seated so they were going to just put us together. The table of 4 that we were waiting for would not leave even after the bill has been given to them. The table was done eating and was just sitting there talking. I wish the hostess or any of the workers could have at least notified them that people were waiting for that table. The table for 3 was already available and we were waiting outside in the cold with my grandmother. We asked if my grandmother could at least sit down first and they said no. The food was not worth the wait in my opinion. Was the seafood fresh? Yes. Was it exceptional tasting? No. They offered omakase but it wasnt even traditional. The restaurant was too noisy to provide a traditional omakase vibe and they just served all the fish in one go.
