Otay Sushi & Crab in Chula Vista

Good food !!! First time here. I’ve had this place on my list for a while. Sushi is fresh and tasty. Also had the chicken teriyaki plate, was delicious.Will try their Louisiana kitchen next time…

This is my second time ordering from this place and omg I will NEVER be back. I ordered a half of pound of shrimp head one and asked for the sauce on the side they put it on my food. The sauce was so oily it got on everything. the sauce was nasty and the corn was over cooked. I called and they offered me a discount on my next order instead of fixing this. I will not be back. I’m disappointed and wish we had a better seafood spot in Otay.

Caleb was an awesome server, very sweet and on top of it!!! The appetizers (spicy garlic edamame, shrimp gyoza, salad) were great, but I would not recommend the ramen or the sukiyaki. The pork in the ramen was charred and made the whole entire dish taste like charred meat. I have been to Japan multiple times, and have never seen pork in ramen prepared this way. I am not sure how the sukiyaki noodles should be, but unless you like rubber bands, I would not suggest! They have Asahi and Sapporo draft which was an added plus.

Its a great sushi buffet all you can eat for $29.00 its the best. The sushi is fresh and I went with the team. Everyone of the 8 members I went with really enjoyed the food. We ordered 60+ sushi rolls. Its worth every penny.I would highly recommend this place. The waiters are especially nice and took care of every request we made with attention. Really nice place to go for lunch before or after the movies in AMC. Dont waste your money in the theater for food. Its expensive they have very cheap movie tickets but expensive food and drinks thats where they make all the money

Food is great. I love coming here.Today was the first time I came here with my son. Been here plenty times before without him. Im a huge fan. Well, maybe WAS a fan.My son pooped when we got there. When I went to the bathroom to change him, a little baby roach was chilling on the changing table. I knew the changing table was gross, but wasnt expecting a guard roach on it. Needless to say, I took my baby to my car to change him.I know places have roaches and mice, but they typically stay hidden and away from people, as theyre scared of people. I went in the bathroom like 3 or 4 times to wash my hands, and the roach was chilling there the entire time. SO my question is, how infested are the roaches in that area for it to be completely fine with people walking around it?To add, parking is horrendous here. I told my boyfriend that well avoid that shopping center until after Xmas as parking there for Xmas shopping is just gonna get more insane.

Excellent place to eat with the whole family...food is amazing, prices are affordable and staff is really attentive. The place is clean and comfortable. Overall a nice place to go to have a beer and a roll or enjoy a big family meal.

The boil bag that gets dropped off on your table isnt worth it. As you rummage through the unpeeled sea food, its reminiscent of dumpster diving. If you are in your friends backyard doing it with beer in your hand and it only cost you a BYOB, then I get it. But walk out $150 light in your wallet, f that.

Extremely bad service. Have to go find server for refills, napkins, sauce etc.seafood didn’t taste good needless to say all 3 of us got really sick with diarrhea and vomiting. Call restaurant in the late morning while at the airport for our return flight and asked to speak with manager. A man answered and said he was owner Mr. Lee. And he said he needs my credit card in person to do the refund . I told him I am at the airport return flight back he said the only way he can refund if I am there with my card . OMG you kidding me? Miss my flight loose money and take Uber and come back to get my refund of $164.83. He said yes. What a jerk and he is doing business and have no business ethics.Karma. Wish him nothing but the worst in life. Thank you Mr. Lee. For doing unfair business.

Service was great warm welcome give. Great conversation with staff provided great suggestions on what to order. Quick seating time. The food was flavorful. Got the bag with crab, shrimp, mussels, clams; which also comes with potatoes and choice or meatball or sausage. We also ordered the sweet potato fries. Some of the best I ever tasted, nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
