Oyama Sushi in Walnut Creek

This is my favorite sushi spot in Walnut Creek. The fish quality is good and I really like the rolls, specifically the golden bear, jalapeño jumper, and dynamite. The baked mussels are one of my favorite items here. The prices are fair and the food is offered for delivery on DoorDash which is very convenient for take out. Definitely give this place a try if you want some sushi in Walnut Creek.

Walking by on this beautiful winter evening, we decided to drop by with my wife and little baby Mira. Always wanted to stop by and try this place out.Place was empty with only one table occupied. We got offered a drinks and recommended some rolls to choose from. Browse to the menu and ordered a standard Dragon, Phila and Caterpillar rolls to compare the quality. Got slightly disappointed because my favorite Dragon came falling apart, not tightly rolled. Philly and Caterpillar were just standard, nothing special. Service felt a little pushy and was never there when needed.Overall recommendation is that there are better “bang for a buck” out there.

We came here on a Saturday afternoon. There were not many people there so we were seated immediately. The server brought us complimentary green tea and a salad. Green tea was very nice and had a roasted after taste and the salad was good.We ordered jalapeño jumper roll (spicy tuna) and futomaki roll (mushrooms and cucumber) as an appetizer. Then we ordered vegetable udon and chicken udon.Well the udon serving was huge. We could not finish it all because we ordered too much food. The taste of everything was amazing. Udon broth was great and jumped roll had such a nice presentation. All in all wonderful experience. Will come again.

Not fancy like the sushi place one across the street, but and it’s very chill not many people sitting or working. So there’s quicker service. the food is always good. It’s definitely my favorite sushi place in Walnut Creek.

This is an amazing place with very fresh food! I loved everything, beginning with the atmosphere and ending with food itself. The chef was super fast and delicate at the same time. And beautifully served sushi 🍣 ❤️Five ⭐️ for an amazing experience! We are coming back! 💯

I ordered a large meal totaling $150. This included a seaweed salad. Imagine how cheap this guys are… the seaweed salad tasted like nail polish removal… It was clear that they added some substance to cover some bad smell. But they managed to make it smell like nail polish removal. I called them and they say: “sorry”. That was it… I rarely write reviews … but save your money and do not go there. They sell expired food. To be honest some of their rolles sometimes smell weird… Just wanted to share my experience…
