We came here last night and then the following lunch because of how good the food and the drinks were! The short rib grilled cheese sandwich was a melted heaven in my mouth! The sweet potato fries and crispy calamari were also delicious. We ate on the patio, vibed to their brunch playlist and truly enjoyed the experience.

I’m always a little unsure about getting poke from places that don’t specialize in it, but this place was incredible. Super delicious. Don’t even get me started though on the Loa spicy sausage, oh my god that was out of this world and so flavorful. My friend got the burger, and normally I don’t care for burgers but this one was insanely good. It’s located in a hotel on the second floor and the atmosphere is beautiful

Stopped in on a weekday evening and were greeted to an indoor seating area.For starters, this amazing restaurant is inside of a really neat hotel.Short and sweet foodie review, the food was amazing and hit the spot. Amazing quality of food, and the flavors were complex. The service was good considering the place was packed. Will be coming back for sure.

The Pacific Hideaway was located inside the hotel we stayed at. It was so convenient having it available right within the lobby! The menu had a lot of great choices, but I especially enjoyed their brunch menu! Everything as a collective was phenomenal. Cute vibe inside and a view of the ocean on the outside. The servers were friendly and had blankets and heaters upon request.

You never know what to expect when going to a restaurant located within a hotel, most of the time it’s mediocre and bland….. this place it the complete opposite! 5-Star experience and food here at the Pacific Hideaway. Bursting with flavor and a really cool setting makes for a great time.We ordered the Cauliflower appetizer, along with fish and chips for the main course- amazing! The food was super fresh and came out very quickly. Service was great and friendly, you can’t go wrong here!Sat out on the balcony overlooking 6th street and the pier. Great views and food.

Drove down from San Francisco bay area and had an amazing experience! The food was delicious and they accommodate GF (the pancakes are 🤌🏼). I originally ordered a breakfast dish and was told was no longer available because they were getting ready for dinner, but the manager Ramon was still able to accommodate. The servers and the manager really knows customer service ✨Ill definitely be back when I plan my next trip!!

Delicious brunch with generous portions and friendly service. We had pleasant morning dining experiences thanks to Ricky, Destini, and Victor. Ricky saved the day by personally creating a concoction that cured my wife’s hangover. I’m glad Destini recommended adding andouille sausage to the “Veggies in the AM” crepe to satisfy my veggie and protein craving. Tasty! On our last day, Victor’s efficient and quick service got us in and out of breakfast to help us make a flight. All of our food choices were great but we loved the pancakes and hash benny the most. Sit outside to enjoy a view of the HB pier. We will definitely return. Highly recommend!

Pacific Hideaway is a great gem in Huntington Beach. I ordered the Hideaway Hash Benny and it was amazing. It had so much flavor with a hint of spice. I would highly recommend this breakfast item. Thank you Julia for the great service and recommendation. In our way out we stopped at the bar to have a drink. Austyn was very friendly and knowledgeable about what drink to recommend. Thank you for the great drink and even better service. Your location was awesome and we will definitely be back!

Someone used the wrong hashtags, so we came here for the oyster, and it turned out they did not have it since we did not have time to look at the menu.We walked here from Pacific city, so not sure about the parking. Pacific Hideaway is located inside the hotel and on the second floor. We did not reserve and waited 5-10 mins, there were sitting outside with the couches, so it was not bad and beautiful at the hotel.The decoration was neat, but it did not have what we looked for, so we ordered tacos to kill time and fill our stomachs. It was not great, so we did not want to try anything else.

One of the best experiences I have ever had! I had the breakfast bagel that was amazing! The bagel was tasty and fresh, as if it had just came out of the oven. Not only was the food delicious, but our server Julia was very attentive and nice. This is my second time coming here to the Pacific Hideaway in Huntington Beach, and both times it did not disappoint. I definitely recommend this to anytime in the OC area! Great food, great service and a great view of the ocean!

We love the atmosphere here and the food is fresh and obviously made with with skills. The miso salmon with tofu, black rice and broccolini was especially good. We also had the mahi tacos, guacamole and cauliflower with chipotle hummus.Service last night was painfully slow which I understand happens sometimes but wow was it ever full of attitude last night too, especially considering there were only three tables sat in the whole place. We went outside after dinner to sit by the fire pit at the outdoor bar which is super cute and cozy but the bartender and server out there were extra snobby which is unbearable. Maybe it was a hard day for the staff?

This place is not impressive at all. We came here later in the evening and it was very cold and unwelcoming. Before coming we reserved a table through Opentable, but when we came the lady at the reception said there was no reservation. Moreover, when we finally got a table, there was a lot of things absent from the menu and the tea wasn’t good. Overall, the personnel is okay, not super friendly, but mostly attentive and accommodating. The primary reason why we didn’t like the restaurant is because it wants to be exotic and unique with fancy plates, but it’s not really worth it. Everything is really spicy and causes horrible heartburn. Despite the taste, plates are stylish and served well, but the quality of the food itself is mediocre. The restaurant is overpriced for the quality that it is providing. When we were finishing, even before the official closing time, we felt very rushed, since the waiters were taking plates practically while we still ate from them. Also the table was shaking…

We discovered this little hideaway eatery while looking for an alternative to the crowded and busy tourist trap restaurants along the main drag that are loud with chatter and general crowd and traffic noise.This restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of a boutique hotel with patio seating on a less traveled road near the beach. Because of the location it was much quieter and had a more enjoyable vibe. At some point as more patrons came the quiet (classier) vibe was disrupted by very loud music. Apparently restaurants think if there are more distractions from genuine human interaction the better. Oh well, at least here and there were better songs being played.Our waitress was delightful. Absolutely lovely and charming. All of our orders were correct and delivered timely. After we got our food however she must have gotten slammed because it seemed like forever to order our last item and get the bill. We tipped well nonetheless.The food was pretty bland. It looked visually appealing but lacked any distinguishable flavor. I must have missed the fact that the short rib grilled cheese would have American cheese in it (yuck!) in addition to the provolone that was listed. The short ribs lacked in seasonings and imagination. Add an herb for goodness sakes. Bread and texture were good.My kid had the bread pudding french toast. Again, bland. We commented that weve had better tasting breakfasts at our local diner.My double espresso w oat milk foam (macchiatos not listed) saved my day. It was just right. Our waitress was very polite and accommodating in making it for me despite not being on the menu.Overall Im glad I went here instead of waiting to be crammed with too many people at the Sugar Shack or whatever the other place was called. I had nice relaxing morning (despite going overtime on my parking meter because the service was slow).

This restaurant is so amazing. We had four different things on the menu and they were all fantastic.The miso-glazed salmon was delicious. I don’t normally like salmon but this was perfectly cooked. The salad with glazed shrimp and an excellent mix of vegetables and crispy wontons. The dressing topped it off.The halibut fish and chips were crunchy and perfectly cooked.We shared the glazed Brussels sprouts with balsamic vinegar and nuts. It was the perfect appetizer or a good side dish.The ambience is incredible. The decor is hip and cozy with an incredible ocean view. The indoor seating was comfy with beautiful decor.The service was excellent. The craft drinks were also innovative.We will be back soon!

This is actually a restaurant located on the second floor off the lobby of a hotel so it is a bit hard to find if youre not familiar with the area. We had a very large group on a Monday night and had a reservation. The menu is a bit confusing as its a combination of small plates and full entrees. There is a full bar.I had a lot of trouble choosing from the menu and defaulted to a burger. It was perfectly cooked and tasty. My wife had something a little more healthy and enjoyed it as well. They have several specialty drinks and the group tried several of them with positive reviews.The space is open air of the doors are open and though a tiny bit cool as the evening progresses was great. You may want to bring a light jacket if weather dictates. Staff was great and handles our party of 16 well including timing and delivery.

Kinda hard to find, it’s right in the Shorebreak hotel on the 2nd floor. I thought it was in pacific city but it’s on Main Street lol. Instagram inceptioned me into go but not mad about it!Cute ambiance, excellent food, and good location. I recommend ordering a table pancake 🤌🏽 Also the Benny hash is bomb, very Asian twist. Plus the waiter brought out one of the hugest and most sparkly sundaes I’ve ever seen for my friends birthday! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone, esp for a big group. This is one of my new favorite places to go. This restaurant is inside of a hotel so be aware that it may be cheaper to park on the street instead of their garage if you plan on staying for longer than 2 hours (otherwise they validate your ticket for free). They have a generous happy hour that goes until 7:30pm, and the servers are all nice. They also have outdoor seating (with blankets included in case it gets chilly) and space heaters. They wash the blankets every week too, just FYI.I thoroughly enjoyed the drinks (Riesling this time, I kept it simple) and the nachos were so delicious and filling. I also tried the lettuce cups, although I think they call them something else on the menu. I will definitely be back because this restaurant has such a great atmosphere.

Beautiful decor & ambiance. Staff was great, food was even better! Very comfortable distancing between tables. Roll up doors let the fresh air & sunshine in - just lovely! I especially loved the selection of craft beers on draft. You cant ho wrong with a rotating Modern Times tap! The Mai Tai was different in a good way & really good. We had a party of 7 & the top favorites were the Hideaway Hash Bene & Grandmas Chilaquiles. We will happily be back.

Our experience was a strong meh. The décor is is nice and its in a neat location. The balcony overlooks the shops and the beach which is really nice at sunset. The service was not very good, our server didnt seem interested in us. Luckily we sat near the bar so the bartender kept an eye on us and had a much happier attitude than our server. Didnt really care for the food overall, just had a lot of butter and sugar. Its not super expensive but its not cheap either, for the price you can probably find better food and service. We went to the grilled cheese shop across the street afterward, theyre pretty good.

This has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Huntington Beach. The location provides a feeling of seclusion with a glimpse of the ocean, while right off of PCH. The Korean tacos are quite possibly the best tacos I have ever had. Simply blew me away. They also provide a dog friendly environment, as well as healthy food options for the pooch. Pair these notes with a solid happy hour, the top-notch service, and you have yourself a hell of a good day ahead of you, while visiting one of HB’s best kept secrets.... For now.

The food was fresh, fun, and flavorful! Vegetarian and vegan friendly.The atmosphere was very modern chic, comfortable and intimate. Good lighting, good location - sitting above Forever 21. I like that blankets are provide for people sitting outside and that the food is served on earthenware dishes. We came for date night on a Saturday evening, it was fairly busy and the vibe was awesome! They offer both indoor and outdoor (with heaters) seating, Id recommend reservations but its probably not required. The drinks were great, our server was attentive, friendly and helpful with menu recommendations. The baked Alaska was AMAZING.....I was still thinking about its deliciousness the next day. It was my first time at Pacific Hideaway in Huntington Beach, and I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the Mac & Cheese to start. It was delicious, and the portion size was excellent. The portion size of the entree (fish tacos) was also very generous. The fish tacos were cooked perfectly! They didnt use cheap wilted lettuce either. Overall, it was a great dining experience! I will definitely come back here again!

My husband and I went here for happy hour and had the best service. Julia greeted us with such a positive attitude even though she seemed to have a bunch of tables. She could have been stressed out but definitely did not show it. She was very attentive and gave great recommendations for drinks and shareable plates. My favorite was the crispy cauliflower! Been coming here for seven years. I live local and do not always like to be around the crowds and the busy areas in downtown HB so this place offers a chic little venue with decent food and good customer service. Parking is street and I believe there is some underground parking although I have never used it as I tend to either walk here from home or park on the street or take the local circuit shuttle. Drinks are over priced for what you get but that’s almost at any fancy restaurant. Their craft cocktails are nothing exceptional ( I am a craft cocktail snob - extra picky so if you are not you will be fine here) but their food has been consistently excellent for years. There were years where it was hit or miss and I wouldn’t come back but always decided to try them again mostly because it’s one of the best views in town with the pier and ocean as well as it’s the Shore Break hotel which is in itself beautiful and very much in tune with the style of Huntington Beach and modern upscale restaurants. Lately I’ve been going there for their breakfast and it does not disappoint. Consistently great. The gluten free pancakes are the best on this planet and I’m not ordering them because I can’t consume gluten it’s because they taste phenomenal. It is by far the best thing there. As I’m vegetarian there are not too many options but a decent amount compared to most restaurants. Enough items to keep me coming back. My usuals are the buttermilk pancakes, veggies in the AM crepe(best crepe veggie omelet thing ever!) and the Thai tofu wrap soooo good. They have other veggie options you can see from others menu photo posts. They used to make these bbq avocado tacos that were amazing but they haven’t made them in years which is a big disappointment. Overall I highly recommend this place from its cozy chic inside dining area to the outside dining area overlooking the ocean from the side street.

We came on a whim since we needed lunch while out prepping for an event. They accommodated the 7 of us quickly, and the service was great. The space is absolutely beautiful!The menu has a great variety, and everyone loved their food. The only complaint was that the himachi looked like it was a meal based on placement on the menu, but it was more like an appetizer. The flavor and everything was fabulous, though!I got the hideaway hash Benny, and it was ridiculously delicious. I found it to be the perfect size (granted, I hadnt eaten since breakfast time in central time - Tennessee - so I was very hungry).Their GF and Vegetarian options are clearly marked, and they have a variety in that area.An excellent spot with ample parking in the garage!

Wow what a HB gem! Found this place while staying in Huntington and decided to go in on a Sunday. It wasnt to crowded, was greeted by our server Julia, almost immediately after sitting. She brought us over water and menus. There were so many good options, which I had a ton of questions on and she happily answered all of them and gave me some amazing suggestions. I went with her suggestions on food and cocktails and man oh man... they were outstanding!! She even made sure they catered to my annoying food allergy. Really great place that provides ping pong table, corn-whole, and even a kick it place with some sand. They have an awesome fire place and usually holding events as well. Really lowkey place and great to meet new people who are traveling to HB. It’s connected to a hotel so it usually has people but not too many! Plenty of room to hang out with a large group of people and it’s on the door top and you can see the beach from it. Highly recommend!!

We’re from Galveston so we live off seafood and tacos so she recommended the mahi tacos which were pretty bomb. The drinks are waaayyy over priced but good. Food prices are on par for this type of restaurant though. The view is nice and relaxing and they had blankets which I hadn’t seen before. Definitely will come agian next time we visit.

Me and my wife ate hear as part of our honey moon and I had the Maine Lobster Roll as my first real experience with Lobster. We had appetizers before that were wonderful as well and came out fast and hot. I had the wings and they fell right off the bone, but still retained their crispy and wonderfully saucy state.The Roll came and it was a delight in itself. A good portion of Lobster that I could only describe as creamy and buttery and almost sweet as it danced with the bun as well. It was a seafood taste that didnt leave you wanting to cover your mouth as you talked to people. Really well done.The staff was also really nice, offering suggestions when needed and helping set the chill atmosphere where nothing felt rushed. The decor in the restaurant also added to the feeling of taking your time and enjoying the surroundings. I will definitely be coming back.

My boyfriend and I went earlier today to eat here(we were also the only light skinned hispanics). When we arrived there was a couple in front of us with a dog. The hostess came about 2 minutes and informed the couple in front of us the wait time was 20 minutes. The girlfriend then asked her something and the host stated that was fine which was then when the boyfriend went to the bar with the dog. The women left and my boyfriend and I approached the host and I told her for two. She then began to mumble and then stated that they were no longer seating due to many reservations coming and the bar was only available. I then asked her if we would be able to sit immediately at the bar the hostess stated yes. I then asked her why when she approached the previous couple she told them a 20 minute wait time. Her answer was because they had a dog and they weren’t allowed to sit in the bar but could sit in the restaurant dining. THIS MADE ZERO SENSE. The couple before us was occupying seating in the dinning area that we could not occupy due to reservations because they had a dog. The fact is they’re getting there experience in the dinning area that supposedly we can’t due to reservations. So her answer of they’re eating at the bar but not actually at the bar because of their dog doesn’t make sense. Also WHY WOULD she tell them of a wait time if the bar was available immediately. I feel she was being racist and the fact she hesitated with us and immediately told the other couple ‘the wait time is 20 minutes is that okay’ when she saw them DOESNT help her case. I WILL NEVER COME AGAIN.

UPDATE:Our meal was really good. The menu is a bit odd and it may be difficult to find something you think will be unforgettable. I wasnt feeling like steak but thats what i got because nothing else sounded very thrilling. It was a great steak but it was big and I just couldnt eat that much. Took 2/3s home and then forgot it in the rooms mini fridge when we left. Damn.We had oysters and a couple of other apps to start. Only the oysters were memorable.Service was excellent and is the reason for at least a half star increase in my rating.I suggest checking the menu online before making a rez - just to be sure theres something you really want. The owners did a great job remodeling the place to create an inside-outside vibe by opening up the exterior walls with large retractable doors and counter seating to overlook the road below to people watch.The food was delicious and the flavors were incredible. We got the lettuce wrap, Thai beef salad and short ribs. The restaurant is a little expensive with small portions, but I rather pay more for good quality food. So we will be coming back.
