The food is fast and tastes good! Gonmandus are very crispy. I have the small size of Gochu Jjamppong Soup which is spicy and a bit sweet and sour. It’s good for one person! The jajangmyen is chewy with very comforting sauce!

I got the jajangmyeon in house and the tangsuyuk to go. The food was very good. They have a relatively limited menu (but not too small), but I actually think this is a great way to go because I take them to be highly proficient and efficient at making what they serve. Several other reviews noted that their service is fast and that is absolutely right (though it was near-empty when I arrived at 4pm on a Thursday). Its also a nice, clean atmosphere.

Overall great flavor but doesnt stand out as much.Jjamppong ⭐️⭐️⭐️: not as spicy as youd think despite the bright red. Seafood base spup with spicy chili paste. Overall I thought it was still decent but the noodles being soaked in soup does make them a bit less chewy.Cream seau ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: very similar to honey walnut shrimp so if you like that youll like this!

I went to Korea a few months ago, and this place brought me back. The servers were very friendly and attentive, but most of all, the food was delicious. The amount of shrimp you get for 20 bucks is very reasonable and the noodle dish was top notch.I recommend getting there around 5pm unless you want to wait in line. It definitely gets packed early.Ill be back!

This is a nice cozy place that serves delicious food with large portions! I always get some variety of spicy noodles and its always satisfying. I cant say whether its authentic, but it tastes good.The atmosphere is good for small groups of 2-6 people, its easy to have a conversation especially if you get a booth. My main complaint is that theres very little parking.

I ordered a total of 3 menus. Jjamppong rice, red pepper jjamppong, and Tangsuyuk. Tangsuyuk had no meaty smell and had a good texture. Small portions also go well with meat. Jjamppong rice comes with some noodles. I think this is a really good idea. Red pepper jjamppong is also delicious. But be careful because it costs a lot. Overall, it has a lively atmosphere, friendly servers, and cleanliness. It was a good time.

Our favorite jjajangmyeon joint. It is a tiny hole in the wall type restaurant tucked away between a laundromat and a bulgama spa. Food is great, but parking is terrible. So we usually get takeout.

This is my go to place for some good ol’ Jjampong. If you can handle spicy, I’d recommend the gochu Jjampong. I’ve also had the tangsuyuk which I also recommend. I appreciate the sauce on the side to prevent sogginess and the batter is unique from typical tangsuyuk. It has a chewiness (but still crispy) to it which I’m assuming is because it has some rice powder in it. The shrimp dishes also have the same batter but with different sauces. The shrimp dishes are also a good option for sharing. For a non spicy option, I’d go with the beef Jjampong.The service is always great and friendly. I’d recommend coming here at slight off hours to avoid lines and parking difficulties. The parking lot sucks due to being a shared lot with limited spots. Don’t park at the Bay Spa lot. There are signs stating they will tow you.

This place is delicious for their Jajangmyeon! It’s their black bean sauce that I can’t seem to find anywhere else. They have a spicy seafood (Jaengban Jjajang) that is really delicious too. This place can get really busy but worth the wait. They have many different Korean dishes like Jjamppong or Jajangbap. I’m not a big fan of Tangsuyuk but the pork was delicious. The sauce was alright for me so I don’t think I would get it again but give it a try. Their gyoza is really crispy so it goes well with the sauce too. They have quite a lot of dishes so don’t forget to check out the others!Service is super friendly and attentive! You can pay on their small device.The turn into the place can be a bit confusing for the first time so turn where you see the sign! For their parking lot, it’s a bit small since there’s a laundromat next door and it can get quite busy. But you can park on the other side over the black fence and walk over. This place is worth trying and one of my favorite place to get Jajangmyeon in the Bay Area! So come check it out!

Korean noodle / fast food ish place.Their stir fried noodle is quite a show if you look at the kitchen while they are making it . Tons of tossing and tons of fire 🔥.The taste is decent, slightly on the spicy side, so be careful when you oder.The restaurant is mainly for noodle lover, other options are sort of limited.You are looking at average 25 per person.

Small restaurant but very efficient. Waited to be seated but once we sat down our order was taken and it felt like only a couple minutes passed before the food came out steaming hot. So I have been wanting to eat jjajangmyeon ever since I started watching Kdrama. Portions are huge! The noodles were chewy, perfect texture. It exceeded my expectations for the dish. Best authentic Korean noodles in Bay Area. Must try Jaengban Jaiang (spicy fried noodles), you would like it if you like spicy and seafood. I also ordered Gochu Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup). Before I ordered it, I checked with a server if they had non-spicy option because I can’t eat very spicy foods. It wasn’t too spicy as a server recommended, I was happy with it. All were big portions. Dumpling was just ok, nothing special.Friendly services. Nice atmosphere. Prepare long queue on weekends. Limited Parking.Will come back again!

This black bean noodle spot is a real gem. Great price in this economy 🥸 and warm vibe especially during peak hours. The black bean noodles are worth trying at least once. They have spicy powder on the side if more is needed. Jjamppong is also delicious and warms my soul. Takeout is also a great option since they separate noodles and the black bean sauce to avoid sogginess. Service is awesome. Parking can be awkward since the lot is small but theres extra on the other side of the curb farther in.

It is a very popular place and once you try the dishes you understand why. There can be some wait some times. If there is a lot of people they may have a wait-list, but it moves pretty fast as the service is fast. I often find Korean food to be a little too sweet, it is not the case here where they achieve a great balance of sweet and sour. The spice is just right as well, not in your face but just a good heat. Well be back for sure!

After watching actors and actresses eating their food from many Korean series and movies, I decided to look for a place to fulfill my desire and hunger. This is the place I was looking for. If you want to experience the hustle bustle in the kitchen and smell the wok hei while you eat this is the place to go. We went here for lunch. We had the immediate impression about how popular this place was as there was a line to get in. We put our name on the sign up sheet and waited for about 5 to 7 minutes before we were called up for our turn. This place has a limited menu. Our order consisted of:Gochu jjamppong: This is marked as spicy. However if you manage to evade the jalapeños you should be good. The broth itself was flavorful and delicious. One thing to note though is there are a generous amount of mussels and meagre amount of shrimps and squid to honor the seafood part. The noodles were good and they do give you a pair of scissors for easy of dining which is very thoughtful. Hardly any place does that.Jaengban Jajang: This entree consisted of both shrimp and pork. We made a special request to not make it with pork and the staff obliged immediately. It had great wok flavor and the stir fried shrimp tasted good. The taste of the noodles did not sit well with us. It was too sweet and sticky for our taste. That does not mean you should refrain from ordering it if it does suit your taste.Chili Saeu: This tated good for the first couple of bites but as we worked through it we figured it had a rather thicker coating. The chili sauce is a bit on the sweeter side as well.Ambience: Although this is a small establishment compared to other places weve been it is well organized and kept clean. My family and I came here for dinner.There was a line for table waiting. The serving staff was quite rude when we tried to ask questions.We sat and the staff kept coming by to ask us to place our orders. We tried to ask if we could change the beef and shrimp noodles but staff said no and he went away before I could ask him to recommend another dish for my uncle who was on a diet restriction.We ordered mandu, sweet and sour pork, and dark soy noodles and a noodle soup.Food was ok. Amazing delicious food. Service is quick. That applies to both dine in and take out. Service is good. No complaints. Food is beat when it is served hot and fresh. Been here at least 4 times. Pretty much order the same thing every time. The jaengban Jajang is spicy but good kind of spicy. Depends on your level of heat you might want to get it or not. I honestly recommend it every time. I could finish one whole serving or share with about 2-4 people.

Out of the way location behind the salvation army on El Camino real. Very interesting cuisine based on the Korean interpretation of traditional Chinese dishes. The food is absolutely fantastic. Quick served hot food I enjoyed their noodles! It’s chewy and warm. Especially Jampong is so flavorful and fresh. Fried dumpling also good. It is filled with pork and chives. Jajang myeon..umm for me it was okay but my husband said it’s too blended. If they made sauce a little thick, it would be better :) service was okay. When you pay they just give you the machine. It was a little embarrassed though.

After my two ludicrous attempts at getting in here, five minutes before closing, this time I was at the restaurant 15 minutes prior to closing, and guess what, I was able to get a table xD.This is a good place to get some Korean comfort food and kick back. The service is quick, and theres decent space to be here on a weekend.Since this was my first time being here, I played it safe and went with the traditional favorites, Gunmandu (Korean dumplings) to start with, and then some Tangsuyuk (fried pork with sweet and sour sauce) with Bokkeummyeon (stir fried noodles with shrimp and squid).The dumplings came out hot and were crispy, just the right amount. You can never go wrong with dumplings, just order them fam.The Tangsuyuk comes with fried pork, and the fried pork was unwieldy to the point that we used the provided scissors to cut chewable pieces lmao. The dish was good but I felt the sauce was too sweet. It couldve done with some more tang.The noodles were pretty, pretty good (curb fans unite). The oyster sauce gave it a rich and smoky flavor. Noods were accompanied with some shrimp and squid, which were reasonably delicious. The portion size was well beyond adequate, be ready to request a take out box, if getting this dish.In summary, my friends and I had a good meal and would recommend dining here.10/10 would go again!

Proper Chinese-Korean food is not easy to come by in the Bay Area and this place is one of the few places that does it right. The Tangsuyuk was my favorite - hot off the fryer, crispy on the outside yet chewy in the inside due to the glutinous rice batter. It was a great meal that reminded me of food back home.

We came here during COVID and then ordered in person. The staff is very nice and brought our food out to our car once it was ready. The first time I came here I ordered their Jajamyeon which is hands down my favorite dish from here! The sauce is amazing and the noodles are perfect!Ive also tried the bokkeummyeon and the jaengban-jianjang both which are good but I definitely prefer the jajamyeon!The portions are nice and big- super worth for the money!!

First time customer and definitely wont be our last visit. We tried the beef soup and it was delicious. The service is fast and friendly. The restaurant was very clean. I am also very picky on restroom janitorial maintenance and this place didnt have a speck on the floor. With the first bite I was sold and shared it to my friends and family. The noodles were pretty good, chewy and tasty, but the seafood soup base lacked the sweetness from the mussels and the vegetables seemed like they have been cooked for a long time. Ive ordered take out several times. And its always been neat with no spillage. I sat down and ate in before as well. Super friendly and nice. I would say theyre service is very much what youd get in Asia; in the beginning they seat you and get you side dishes and drinks. But after that you need to hail them down if you want service. They dont stop by every 10 mins to ask if everything is okay, which I prefer. Food is very well priced and very tasty. They have very nice portions but you dont feel heavy/grossly full. Parking is a bit of an issue since the lot is small, and the laundromat next door claims some parking spaces, and so does the spa on the other side of the lot.

Santa Clara is where you find some of the best Korean food around, and Paik’s Noodle is where you’ll find some of the best NOODLES around.Seriously, get the Black Bean Noodle here. The noodles are perfectly chewy and bouncy, topped with a thick, sweet and savory black bean sauce. I found Hong Kong Banjum Paik’s Noodle on Yelp when searching for a place to eat while dropping off some stuff at the Goodwill store next door. It was hidden in the next strip mall with a tiny parking lot. At the peak lunch hour on a weekend it was completely packed meaning it was very popular. The menu here is mainly Korean noodles (jjamppong). For some reason I was not in the mood to eat noodles so I decided to get the jajangbap ($8.99) which is the same black bean sauce but over rice along with an omelette and spicy soup on the side, to-go. To my surprise I could pay with card. After ordering it was about a 15-minute wait and I was on my way.I got a decent sized container with rice topped with the black bean sauce and the omelette on top. The black bean sauce was very good and this came together very well. The spicy soup was also pretty good. Price-wise also it was very cheap with the entire entrée being under $10. Overall a big thumbs up so I’m going to have to come back and try some of their noodles the next time.

Jijangmein is good and is an improvement over Tong Soon Garden. I wish they would have more meat in the dish as they were barely noticable. The noodles were cooked perfectly and has a nice bite to it. Best part was the sauce which was very savory and would have gotten a better score if they included a small bowl of rice on the side to mix with the left over sauce.Tangsuyuk is novel because they fry the meat with a glutunious rice batter vs the traditional batter. In order to get the batter and meat to finsh cooking at the same time the meat was cut to piece the size of a pinky. However, some pieces of the meat were much smaller and were overcooked. On average it was about 60% to 70% batter and we grew tired of just eating dough. I would recommend to skip this dish.Service was good as we were before the lunch rush on a Friday. Menu is simple which will help any indecisive eater. The dishes arrived less than 10 from time of order. By the time we finished the lunch was coming in and they asked us to pay at register. Total duration was less than 30 minutes.Overall this establishment is along the lines of a korean fast food. Keep it simple and just order the noodles.

Open during covid!Just had to share a quick comment about their beyond considerate customer service. After ordering, we were eating in our car (due to covid), and one of the workers came out to let us know that if we needed more napkins or condiments, they’d be happy to get them for us and that after eating, we can give the trash to them which they’d happily dispose of. I will say that the tangsuyuk was more batter than actual pork, but I liked it nonetheless. It didnt taste greasy at all. The portions are very reasonably sized too. This is a noodle focused Korean Chinese restaurant with just a few non-noodle dishes. So, this would not be a choice place if you want large variety of non-noodle dishes. But, what they have are reasonably tasty food at reasonable price. Spicy noodle served on a plate is the best option for me. Sweet and sour pork is okay but the pieces are too big to eat conveniently. Because of the lack of variety, this wouldnt be my first choice for such a cuisine.

Fast, clean, amazing food. I tried the spicy noodles, the jjajangmyun, and the fried pork and all were fresh and delicious. The food is just as good as my mom makes at home. The wait is very minimal and they also do to go orders.

Love the food and the people who work there! I’ve gone a few times and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious! You can taste the smokiness in the noodles and fried pork is perfect everytime. It’s decently priced and you can tell the cooks care about what they make.

This is one of the best noodle place in Northern California. Especially, black noodle called Zazzangmyun is a must try!!! The taste is very best at reasonable price. Only complaint is this place is always crowded.... I would not mind waiting for 10 to 15 minutes every time I go! Its worthy it.

The worst Jjajang taste i’ve ever eaten!!! Noodle quality is so bad, not sticky and chewy at all. Too oily, super sweet and salty taste to it. Having eaten a lot of Korean Chinese dishes in Korea, i feel like this restaurant needs to be improved much!

Went there for lunch on Jan 4 2019. We ordered bokkeummyeon, jaengban-jjajang, jajangmyeon, and tangsuyuk for total price of 53 dollars including tax and tip for 3 ppl.The food was good overall. The food was at par with what you would expect from a good Korean-Chinese restaurant. What was a bit odd was that the rice that was served with jajangmyeon was not fried, even though it is almost always served fried.The serving size is acceptable, and the price is slightly higher than other restaurants that have similar food. Service is not fast, and sometimes it takes a while to get the servers attention.Overall an acceptable experience. Would recommend as a decent place to eat lunch.

I ordered for pick up. The store updated as completed after 10min so I head to the store but I had to wait at the store more than 15min to get my food.I’m assuming they are just updating the order status after 10 min to “completed” status to keep the preparation time low on the app. Such a horrible experience.

Great place to get noodles. Fair prices, recent portions, and yummy food. A bit of a wait on weekends but definitely worth it! The place itself is situated in strip mall with limited parking, but dont let that deter you. These are some of the softest and chewiest noodles youll ever eat!!The dumplings (gunmandu) are small and tasty. How can anything deep fried go wrong? I tried the bokkeummyeon (stir-fried noodle), jaengban-jjajang (stir-fried blackbean sauce noodles), and beef jjamppong (beef noodle soup).All the noodles were so thick, soft, and chewy. They also give scissors to each table so the noodles are easier to eat. The jaengban-jjajang couldve been more flavorful and could use a little more salt but still delicious. They were really generous with the amount of meat and veggies on this dish. The bookeummyeon was a plainer version of the jaengban-jjajang. It was simple and good. The beef jjampong is a noodle soup. Its absolutely amazing, warm, and soothing. Broth is flavorful and peppery, and it came with lots of noodles, beef, and vegetables.Service is amazing. Food almost comes out instantly after ordering, and waiter/waitress are attentive and nice!

This is the first place Ive had black bean noodles and I love them and crave them. I actually think takeout is even better than dining in. I prefer the regular black bean noodles over the stir fry though I think Im in the minority there. Parking is tight in this small strip mall. Call ahead for takeout.

This restaurant offers delicious Korean-Chinese food at a great price. I especially recommend the tangsuyuk as it is chewy yet crunchy. The jaengban jjajang is also great but may be a little too spicy for some. Fried dumplings were decent but not the best.

Bringing the fast casual Korean/Chinese noodles to the South Bay. Super busy but super friendly. Noodles were great but not a huge fan of their tangsuyuk, sauce as a bit too watery and not pork was small and dry. Noodles are still great. And price is affordable like in Korea.

The owner is dishonest. I made an UberEats order with the requirement of on onions. They called me after a few minutes and said that the dishes were pre-marinated with onions. So I requested them to cancel the order, but they claimed that they were unable to do that in the app. As a result, I had to cancel the order and was charged 18 bucks because the restaurant has already accepted the order on UberEats. The problem is that if they cannot fulfill my requirement, they shouldnt have accepted it in the first place. Also they are very dishonest since the UberEats support told me that the restaurant does have the option to cancel orders. Shameful!

Customer service is top knotch. They will alwaus look out for you if you need anything or if your water is getting low. Food is made fresh and you can taste it. Cream Saeu and Jaengban Jajang is very good and I get it everytime I visit.

Simple and delicious are words to describe this restaurant. The proportions are ideal for the price. They have a large window through the kitchen making it apparent that meals are prepared fresh and fast. My favorite dish has to be Jaengban-Jjajang. The bean sauce paired with hot peppers and onions over perfectly cooked noodles is a delight. I highly recommend this restaurant for delicious and casual korean food.

This is my first time going there but I would not recommend it. I ordered jjajangmyun and tangsooyook. Overall, I felt that jjajangmyun was bland. The sauce was too watery and not properly seasoned. I thought the noodle was boiled too long. It was a bit too soft. Tangsooyook was ok. It was a bit greasy but it was alright. I had high expectation but it did not match my needs. I would pass this place.
