Why keep a sign saying you’re closed at flipping 9:30 pm if I pull up at 9 pm and you’re gonna lock the doors and deny me service. Thank you for wasting my time panda. Also who keeps a closing time of 9:30 pm in a college town where you’re located 2 steps from tons of college kids (even during summer)PS: This isn’t googles fault as panda literally says they close at 9:30 pm on their door and the worker inside tells me it’s closed when I tried getting in.

Melted Plastic chow mien? Chipped tooth and choking problem plus everyone else who ate the chow menu from this batch is eating melted plastic toxins. Pandas reaction oh wow that doesn’t even sound possible. I’ve never even heard of that happening. No cares.I love panda too.

Great service from the staff, who are (for the most part) very friendly and courteous. Dont be afraid to ask for a fresh batch of an entree; usually is quick to make. Food quality and taste is consistent, and for Chinese in this city, its about as good as it gets.

If you want fast Chinese American food, this is the place. The chefs are constantly cooking up fresh food, and you choose from what they have ready to go. They serve it right now. The food is actually pretty good. The spicy dishes actually taste spicy. The egg rolls are crispy. The fried wontons not so much. I always get Kung Pao Chicken. I wish they had chicken and broccoli. Also, you cant tip, which really bothers me. The employees are always really great nevertheless.

I have to share this because the woman who served us was great at handling a very stressful situation. I came in slightly behind my daughter and her son to order. A young man, could be a college. Student, was behind my daughter in line. I probably should have acknowledged him but I didn’t. I went up to my daughter and her son. He obviously stewed for a time because when I asked a question, His comment was Why don’t you wait your f___ing turn?. I was shocked and said that I was with them and my daughter was paying for my food. He said more after that but I was too shocked to remember. I said that he could go before all of us if he wanted. The worker was very supportive of us and asked him to leave. He did so swearing that she would be sorry and he would get her fired. I hope not. My daughter was afraid he would come back with a gun. Such a poor representation for a lovely college town.

This is my first time ever writing a review, but because my experience was so awful, it felt necessary. If I could rate this please 0/5 stars I would. This Panda Express on 789 Foothill Blvd was closed a whole 15 minutes early. If they knew that they would be closing BEFORE 9 like stated on their website, they should have put up a CLOSED sign. Instead, of waving away paying customers with the flick of a disrespectful wrist. I truly do not know if I will patronize this food chain again. #dobetter

I’m very impressed by this location! This was my first time at this Panda Express. The employees are so nice and the girl working today was so helpful when it came to suggestions! I wish I would have gotten her name but she was fantastic and even helped recommend healthier items to me because I shared that I count my calories. They had one guy on the grill who kept his cool as a lot of unexpected big orders came in (mine included- sorry!) and when they asked him to prep more food because of the increase in orders he handled that so well, if that were me I would have been a mess. Cashier was nice as well, with Covid I even saw him go around the counter to get someone’s fountain drink for them to control how many people were touching things I suspect- great job with the pandemic and being safe. Overall, I’m really impressed by the professionalism and speed of this 3-4 person crew today during a random 2pm food rush, while also following social distancing procedures to the T! You guys were awesome!

This Panda location is just okay. The staff are all nice people and try their best, but they often are out of the food Ive wanted. Theyve even been out of fried rice a couple times. This location is near Cal Poly, so sometimes there are long lines of students.

Dont waste your money here. Terrible customer service 2 girls in front look misrable like they hate life. Portions are not even normal extremely small. Then they close the restroom 30 mins before closing and nobody can use it period. Doesnt the law state where food is served restrooms must be open? Wont be returning and wont ever reccomend this place! Grover Beach Panda is 110% better then this place.

One of my families favorites. Most of the employees are friendly, manager, not so much. The reason for the 3 stars is the consistency factor. Sometimes I get small portions and sometimes I get normal portions. If I get an entree that costs a dollar more, that entree is small in size and often short on meat and heavy on veggies. One employee at the Foothill location, named Elijah, is always friendly, helpful and a hard worker.

My last Yelp review was on the Froom Ranch Rd. in SLO Panda stating how I was not going back there because of disappointing service. Now going to the SLO Panda on Foothill Blvd., I arrived @ 7:50pm just before their 8pm closing, an hour earlier than the usual hour of 9 pm because of COVID which I dont understand & I dont believe it matters to the COVID. Anyway, you get to walk in & select from the array of actual food you are going to eat which is always a bonus unlike the Panda on Froom Ranch Rd. where you barely walk thru the door, required to look at a menu & pay, then walk around the building & another business suite to the rear to pick up your food; which is inconvenient to the disabled. At the Panda on Foothill Blvd., I received a friendly greeting.I ordered a 3 item entree dinner takeout, seeing there was plenty of chow mein & veggie rice, but just a little vegetable left being mostly broccoli, I asked for half chow mien & one quarter each of veggies & rice. The associate replied they dont usually do that, but would for me;I thanked her. Moving over to the entrees, I selected kung pao chicken, mushroom chicken & sweet n sour chicken. Wait, what do you meanyou dont have any of those items when there is clearly an item under each name tag. Oh, they are mislabeled, except for the sweet fire chicken whose bowl is empty but for bits of red pepper & less than a serving of mushroom chicken. She named what entrees she did have which were teriyaki & orange chicken, less than their serving spoon of mushroom chicken, a beef entree ( I dont eat beef or pork), vegie spring rolls & wontons. I asked, why empty bowls & mislabeled food & server responded we are closing. My attention turned to the 6 people behind me 2 of whom were being served & the truck that just pulled up to the front door. So I ordered the rest of the mushroom chicken & negotiated throwing in the red pepper bits left over from the sweet fire chicken to fill the serving spoon, the orange & teriyaki chickens which have no vegies in it & 2 of 3 renaining vegie spring rolls. She generously gave me the third one. I handed her a $10 gift card + $2.35 cash for my bill. She had trouble processing the gift card, called the manager over then he left, she stated she would figure it out later, I stated I would like a receipt, she did some register keying & handed me a receipt & my $2.35 cash back stating that she rang everything up so the $10 gift card would cover it. I thanked her & wished her a good night as she did me. I felt I had just won the lottery in customer service, but felt bad for the remaining customers & thier fate. The food was hot, tasted good & cooked perfectly even though it had been sitting out under heat lamps. This Panda would have gotten 5 stars had they had the remaining entrees labeled correctly & not left empty pans out. Im sure this is not the first time they had customers coming in near closing. So why not forsee that & have adequate entrees with vegetables left to choose from or have the cook fire up the wok & cook it because it is all prepped? If it looks like there will be leftovers, they could serve a little more at closingor at the managers discretion, let the staff have it. Yes, I will go back again, maybe next time between 6-7pm to avoid empty pans & mislabeled food.Happy eating!

Im a college student in the area, and have gone here my fair share of times. Getting food is always impressively slow, do not come around peak hours. Ive spent 30+ minutes trying to get food here on multiple occasions. Also, theyre pretty light on the portion sizes. Sad.

Arrived an hour before closing on a Saturday night and the bowls were pretty much empty. Thats ok but then dont give me attitude when I nicely ask if you can make more. They got a big rush right after me so they had to put two girls on the line, maybe that will help her attitude. If you close at 10 expect customers until that time.

Panda Express really needs to spend some serious time figuring out their business plan. The online order system is an absolute joke. I ordered this to be ready 30 minutes before I was going to be there just in the hopes they would actually get it right. And yet again they failed miserably. Waited an additional 30 minutes which brought the total to one hour on my wait time. And as a shock to no one, they had ran out of the stuff I ordered so I didnt even get what I paid for. They were filling customers orders as they walked in and just completely ignoring the online orders. I finally just got in line and ordered what I wanted and told them that I had placed an online order but this blew their minds. Staff was extremely rude and unaccommodating. I am fed up and wont be back. Happens time and time again with no change. Feedback sent to corporate gets no response, so its clear they dont care.

Not gourmet by any stretch of the imagination, but great for the price. Ive had some similarly-priced food that was barely edible, but I keep coming back to Panda! Service is usually pretty quick to boot, which has made it a great choice for those nights nobody feels like cooking and you want to grab something quick and easy that doesnt break the bank. Although given the proximity to campus, the lines can get long if you show up at the wrong time.

While the staff was extremely nice it was frustrating to know that the online order I placed still wasnt ready when I arrived when they stated it would be ready. To add insult to injury I got a smaller than normal portion of the item that caused the delay.Just frustrates me that instead of asking to wait 2-3 more minutes for a regular sized portion they pulled those pieces that were first done, shorted my order, all just to get me out of there 2 minutes faster (I already waited 15...17 minutes isnt that big of a difference)

Too many hiccups to consider this a good location for Panda. Constant turnover and service that could be better for well over half of my visits. One person working the counter with 15 customers waiting for food. These guys dont even have the correct hours listed online or on the door. Literally, a small child could run this location better than it currently is being operated. And with the other Panda off LOVR providing much better service and consistently better quality, food, its hard to put faith in this Foothill location that has left so much on the plate so many times. Try another spot!

Exactly what you expect if you go to any panda express. The tables can sometimes be dirty and the lines can be long. The customer service is average as well. The joint is spacious, at least, and allows multiple people to be in the building when waiting.

This is the best pre-prepared food on planet Earth. You can order anything you want, and you have the opportunity to look at it, or even to taste it, first. I always get mine To-Go, because despite my being a big man, I have leftovers. Finished some leftovers with a friend just yesterday, and she said it was delicious. You cant go wrong with a two entree plate, that includes Mushroom Chicken (my favorite).And, if you order vegetables as a side, theyre almost always cooked fresh for you, because few people order that.Enjoy!

They don’t any food prepared, they choose not to cook. We waited 15 minutes in line just for there to be nothing left, while we were in line they told people trying to come in that they weren’t accepting anymore people. This was at 7:45, they close at 9. The staff was just talking and the cashier was left alone to take everyone’s orders, very unprofessional.

I used to love Panda Express until I moved to SLO. This particular location has completely turned me off of the chain as a whole. The restaurant is always extremely busy and there is not nearly enough space for the line so people end up standing directly in front of the door. On top of that, they are almost always out of 2-3 dishes at any time.

Id like to give a huge shoutout to Jonah who works here! I came in with a few large orders and he made sure it was accurate, then was able to ring them up separately, without seemingly bothered by that. Then a massive group of people came into Panda and he greeted them kindly and got their orders done in a timely manner. I had order teriyaki chicken and he knew that they were still cooking it, so he kept me informed of when the chicken would be ready and gave some extra chicken cause it took a while. Ive worked in food service so I know how awful the job can be... but Jonah was super positive, communicative and awesome! If I was a manager I would make sure to give him a raise.
