Great service I was far impressed! As for the flavors, there was a lot left to desire. Nothing punched with memorable impact and left me wanting more. Soups were so-so and portions can be made larger if desired for all of the dishes.I personally wouldnt rush back, but it offers a nice ambience so its always an option on a blue moon.

Excellent place. You feel very welcomed because the staff is very attentive and respectful. The food is prepared at the moment and usually arrives hot at your table. There are great individual dishes and to share. The place is very comfortable and with few spaces. This makes you feel very exclusive. The service is very fast because the waiters are always very attentive to your needs. The food is very fresh and of very good quality. In price it is a very affordable place in relation to the quality of the food.Highly recommended.

My girlfriend and I were about to head home to the Bay Area and needed a place to have lunch. We learned about Panda Inn from a friend who LOVES Panda Express so we wanted to give it a try. Honestly, I had low expectations since my friend mentioned Panda Express but my overall experience greatly surpassed my expectations.We got there a few minutes after they opened so there was no wait and there were few customers. We were seated and the environment was very nice and clean. Even the bathrooms were beautiful.Considering this was our first time at Panda Inn, we wanted to order things that we could not find at Panda Express. We ordered panda rice, fish in black bean sauce, hot and sour soup, and a fortune cookie milk tea. Yelp had a check-in offer so we also got a free order of vegetable egg rolls.The food was absolutely delicious. I feel bad for having preconceived opinions of the place because the food and experience was greatly better than getting food at Panda Express. The panda rice was addicting and we could have honestly ordered more. The fish in black bean sauce was really good with good texture and not too salty. Hot and sour soup was really yummy and a must-have with your meal.The only downside from our meal was the fortune cookie milk tea. It was supposed to taste like a fortune cookie but its not noticeable to me or my girlfriend. Our server, Carla, was very sweet and even gave us some fortune cookies to compare the tastes. Truthfully, its not too noticeable and it tasted like a normal black milk tea.The staff here were so friendly. Carla took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. She visited the table frequently but not to the point of it being too much. Plus she was kind and chatted with us a bit about our visit to LA. At the end of our meal, Carla was very sweet and gifted us a bag of fortune cookies to take home. Best friendly service Ive had at a restaurant in a long time.I very much recommend stopping by here. By the end of the meal, I was already messaging friends and family about the positive experience we had at Panda Inn. My girlfriend and I had a 6 hour drive back home to the Bay and we kept talking about lunch at Panda Inn. We cant wait to come back and try the other dishes.Thank you Carla and Panda Inn!

Went in on Saturday night and it was busy. We were sat within a few minutes. Service was overall great! The food portions for a regular size are huge. We had two entrees and fried rice for two people and ended up having leftovers for two meals. The food is very tasty- definitely a hidden gem in Glendale

We finally came here for dinner a few weeks ago and already cant wait to go back!!! They have generous portions (the regular size portions was enough for 3 of us) and the food is top notch. Service was quick and curtious. The one dish that won us all over was the Panda Beef!! It was so good!! We couldnt get enough. Prices are a bit up there but the food is worth it. Expect to pay above $18 a plate (regular size). My favorite part was the white chocolate dipped fortune cookie that came with the check. Restaurant is clean and fancy. Definitely come here for a special occasion or date night!

The place where Panda Express spun out of. Dont think of it as just an upscale version of Panda Express. Think of it as a different restaurant altogether.The food quality, service, hospitality, decor are all in an elevated dimension. Prices are reasonable for what you get -- high teens or low 20s per entree and you get fresh, delicious, clean meals.The decor and utensils are also very aesthetic. The knife looks like a scalpel almost. Youre going to feel fancy af cutting your orange chicken with a knife and fork.Service was also top notch. Ask for anything, and they will be friendly and happy to get it for you.My fav restaurant in Glendale/Pasadena area.

Let me start by saying that this Panda Inn location is under a beta opening. The place has been remodeled. They are fully functional. You can go and eat there right now. You can call in and reserve. But they yet to have their grand opening which is happening in January of 2019 as they have told me.To review this place I will follow my 5* pillars that define a good restaurant:FOOD QUALITY (0-10): 10Their food quality is great and thats nothing new with Panda Inn places. Everything is well cooked and fresh. Their meat is delicious. The sauces are on point. The variety of dishes gives everyone a chance to choice something they like. You can find alot of great and famous Chinese dishes available on their menu. I have attached couple of dishss I tried myself and they were great.SERVICE (0-10): 8The place is newly remodeled and just opened therefore their servers are new and are still getting used it to the new places and the new base customers. Otherwise, there were very good. We called in and reserved. Once we got their it took them a minute to seat us. Our server was ready to take our orders. He knew the menu well and was able to suggest the right dishes. But when it came to the bill they had hard time splitting it up on the whole group using multiple credit cards therefore I suggest if you are a party of 3 or more to pay with one credit card and then divided amount yourselvesCLEANNESS (0-10): 7The place is really clean since it has been just remodeled. Conveniently located next to Glendale Laemmle Theatre, this is a great choice to dine before or after seeing a movie. They are open weekdays until 10pm, and little later on weekends.EXCELLENT food, friendly fast service, ambience - the lobby has cushioned seating, art, and there is also a full service cocktail bar. It is very welcoming and has been at this location since 1973.The menu has a few rarities you wont find at other Chinese restaurants including Forbidden Rice, which is a black rice served with vegetable medley and Upside Down Crispy Noodles, served with cabbage, mushrooms, snow peas, shitake mushroom, bamboo shoots and bean sprouts. There is a good variety here in appetizers, soup and entrees. Many of the dishes served here are highly seasoned, however, if you ask, they will make any dish without peppers or seasoning.Portions here are generous, so if you and your date fancy the same thing, you can share it and still have food leftover.I was quite pleased with Honey Walnut Shrimp - tiger shrimp was cooked perfectly, and each bite the perfect blend of honey and walnuts.Other dishes you must try are Tea Smoked Duck, Mushu Wraps or ANY of the Signature Dishes. Food was Allright. Service was horrible. Not professional the lady that seats the guess...horrible. I made and online order of $187. To get picked up at 6:26 pm. So the girl asked to help me and another customer walked in. And she just cut me off and started helping. The other guess. ..not cool...because I am spending money there too. So dont make your customers feel worthless... or like if their money is not worth... so I am not coming back to this location. Luckily another young lady helped me out with the order. That was actually already ready since the beginning...

Delicious lemon chicken and shrimp fried rice! Started with crab wontons. A bit fried but crab and cream cheese was a solid mix of tasty. No white rice for the lemon chicken??Service was lacking. Not checking back when needed. Hot air blowing from air conditioning return didnt help atmosphere.

Delicious food, especially the Phoenix Chicken 🐓, can’t go wrong with that choice. Bak Choi was great with the black garlic, Mapo Tofu was decent, just wish there was some sort of meat added to it, Crispy Noodles were refreshing and light, and the Pork Fried Rice was very filling. We ordered crab wontons, asian spiced beef ribs, and upside down crispy noodles. The short rib was the absolute best of the three it was a very generous portion of perfectly seasoned short rib. The wontons, however, were quite unfortunate. They had a lot of filling and it’s all cream cheese. I couldn’t taste any seasoning, and the crab was not mixed in. There was about a half teaspoon piled at the top of the wonton. It was definitely not worth the $13 they charged for four pieces. The noodles were good but but not great. The sauce was again completely unseasoned and tasted like a very weak chicken broth thickened with cornstarch. The sauce cups were tiny. They did include some really cute white chocolate fortune cookies. Our pre-tip total was about $68. I would try them again and order different things off the menu.

DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIESthere must be a serious quality control issue here because our cashew chicken contained a whole peanut in it. My daughter has peanut allergies but thankfully I saw the peanut before serving it to her. We called the restaurant several times to no answer and contacted them on their website with no response. Im disappointed we can no longer feel safe eating here because it was on of our favorite restaurants before they closed from the lockdowns.

Did you know that Panda Express has fine dining restaurants? Such a contrast from the steam table items at Panda Express to a white tablecloth restaurant.The service was impeccable. I got my meal in around 10 minutes and it was a cast iron crock full of lemon scallops with vegetables. That cast iron crack is pretty amazing. All Food was delicious,the areas of the whole restaurant and even the restroom was clean. But I have a serius concern. It is well known that waitresses should (with CAPS) must have clean hands. There was one in particular who served us the food and beverages who had not all, but some nails painted. And some already chipped. It looked very disgusting. Not only I noticed but all in the table. I definitely recommend that in this type of restaurant where customers expect more than regular places, should be aware of those things. Thanks.

Have not eaten at this Panda Inn for over 30 years! Normally I go to Pasadena or Ontario but Pasadena is closed for rebuild! Everything was pretty much the same as Ontario and Pasadena except the Mai Tais werent as good as the ones at Pasadena! One was light in color like it was made with light colored rum the other one that I had was dark and color made with dark rum quite a difference between the two drinks I tasted both but even mine wasnt as good as the one from Pasadena and it had an orange in it instead of a cherry! Food was five star as always! We had eggplant and tofu and sweet sour pork!

We had the pleasure of actually dining in earlier tonight and had one of the best experiences, primarily due to the warmth and humor of our server, Maureen. We stopped by Panda Inn on a very busy Saturday evening. After about a 30–40-minute wait, let’s just say we were hangry. Once we were seated, everything changed. Our waitress Carla was phenomenal. She gave us excellent recommendations and helped us figure out which portions worked best for us. She kept checking on us and made sure we had everything we needed. She was charming, caring, funny, and professional. Carla, you made our day! We had a great time because of you! The price to quality ratio is pretty great, the service is fast and the ambiance classy. Fun fact: this is actually the first Panda Express, and their menu items reflect that. Although its very upscale; its still an upscale version of Panda Express. Im no spice fenatic but i do like some here and there, some of their spicy dishes didnt seem to have any spice to them. But overall a positive experience, I appreciate the dipped white chocolate fortune cookies.

I had Kon Pao Chicken, with egg roll, hot and sour soup, and brown rice, with some extra egg rolls. My date had the Singapore Chicken. Food was okay. It wasn’t the best compared to Panda Express. The food was dry and almost cold once it got to my table although the veggie wraps were hot. The customer service wasn’t the greatest either. My water didn’t come till my food arrived and I also requested a straw and boxes but that didn’t arrive till my check. I wouldn’t recommend. The Panda Inn is owned by Panda Express but they are like night and day where Panda Express the food is Dreadful and very small portions and very plastic interior the Panda Inn is on a par in terms of its food quality with PF Changs and its quite reasonable large portions and magnificently prepared and the seating are on individual couches which are wonderfully comfortable and nice China nice table cloth and cloth napkins and beautiful plates with large portions of anything you order and we ordered many different things from Steam dumplings to vegetable egg rolls and a variety of main courses and everyone was as good as the other I give this a big thumbs up and it is great and anybody who goes will enjoy it enormously and without a doubt it is one of the better restaurants in Pasadena. Parking is always a problem in Glendale area but after that delicious dinner package we had, especially the Panda beef, that issue was mentally erased and forgotten. While we love Panda Express, we were very disappointed with the entire service. Yes, the family-style portions are generous, but they were cold by the time they arrived at the table. And the service was nonexistent. We had to stand up to get a waiter even to place an order or to get the check.We hadCrab Wontons 13crab meat, cream cheese, scallions in a fried wontonas starters and could not find a trace of crab meat in them. All we got was cheese beautifully fried - and delicious, but with no crab meat horribly overpriced at $13.Friends took us - apologizing all the time for the cold food and the horrible service. They really ruined what could have been a beautiful evening for the six of us. I would not go again.

Panda Inn is part of the Panda Restaurant Group Inc. which… yes, you guess it Panda express is a subsidiary company. Of course, this is supposed to be more of a formal dining experience. There first restaurant opened in Pasadena, Ca in 1973 by Andrew and Master Chef Ming-Tsai Cherng. According to Panda inn’s website, it all began with their vision to create timeless Mandarin and Szechwan dishes mixed with an innovative style.In my opinion it’s definitely innovative. If you know food then you know Szechwan dishes are highly regarded for its spice, heat spice! Something most Americans can’t take, unless its tabasco! Soo the Cherng were smart enough to create a fusion and adapt to their new surroundings. They serve based on your spice level, as opposed to Szechwan numbing spice.We came for a family gathering of a lost loved one, it didn’t take long for the servers to start bringing out the food. They were fast and friendly. Overall a very good dinning experience. Pleasant environment, welcoming host and very good service. They pay careful attention to the details. We order a specific drink, because they didnt have it, the bartender personally came to the table to let us know and offer some suggestions. The food was very good. We order lettuce cups with minced chicken, roasted pork belly (excellent) and sauteed vegetables. Our favorite was the roasted pork belly. This is not really a traditional Chinese food, but more of a fusion modern pan asian restaurant. The prices were a little bit too high though. Still I highly recommend it. We will return.

The flavor of everything was good. The chicken I ordered was more batter than chicken. The adult beverages were 3 sips, but delicious. The staff failed at keeping my water glass full. I feel that its over stylized for Chinese food, but I understand that an upscale crowd is who they are trying to appeal to. Chinese people will tell you, there is nothing fancy about Chinese cuisine.

My favorite Chinese restaurant. Ive tried everything on the menu that doesnt have fish and everything is delicious. Had dinner here Christmas day and it was packed. So we have office space right up the street from Panda Inn. Over many years it’s been our to go place for Chinese food. And in the past it was very good all the time. But and that’s a very big But, since they have finished the new construction, it is not the same restaurant except for the name. The food portions are about 30-40% smaller!! And the prices have basically more than doubled, and the food taste is gone. We were there a week ago and we got wonton soup with no taste and a couple of other items again with no taste for $105.00. I even checked with a friends who also goes for food to panda inn and he concurred my findings. At double your old prices, half the food with no taste is not going to cut it last night I called to get some to go food. 1 Mongolian beef and 1 Wonton soup was $33.00. I said thank you and cancelled my order.

Good food at a fair price, particularly for an international student visiting the area with his family in tow. The seating is rather spacious and you have a choice of either booth or regular tables. The waitstaff are all nice and friendly. In the tradition of other eateries, they will sing happy birthday to you if it happens to be your birthday.The food was really good and the portions were more than adequate. There are two types of portions that are offered. The smaller one serves 1-2 people while the larger serves 2-3 in the event you wish to have a more communal eating experience.Good place to catch a bite during the lunch hour or during the cool of the evening.

I would add another star if I could, I had my tastebuds set for chinese food for lunch and this place served up the most deliciously satisfyingly tasty dishes. Subtle delicate flavors like ginger fish cooked to perfection and served with green onions. Also mongolian beef, just the right amount of spicy for us, pan fried noodles with the most amazing texture and delicious sauce, tender steamed boc shoy with schitake mushrooms. Exceeded my expectations by far and all served up with a smile by the lovely, genuinely friendly waitress. We dont eat out much but we will definitely eat here again.

First time here and last time here. We came in on Christmas day and waited like everyone else with no problem. As soon as we sat, we put in our entire order at exactly 5:45pm (soup, one app and 3 entrees). The food didnt come out until 7pm. We had to ask for the busser to get the tea. When 1/3 entrees came out, we had to ask a different busser for the side of rice. 10-12 minutes later, the other 2 entrees came out and we had to ask a busser for a coke refill. The server blamed the kitchen for being backed up after we told her if everything was ok or if they forgot our order. She insisted that the kitchen was behind. We went with it, cancelled our 7:30pm movie at the Americana and stayed. Not one entree or appetizer was comped. Ive hosted for over 5 years at a high end steakhouse, and we considered a 1 hour wait on food unacceptable without a kind gesture. Now knowing how cheap your company is, I promise you, you are not worth the visit. Tonight was pathetic hospitality and those bussers were more alert and attentive than anyone else on the floor. Otherwise, you made it an awful Christmas dinner.

The miso Salmon was good, it was cooked just right and well seasoned just right. The lo-mein noodle awesome and they had just the right mixture of chicken and beef and vegetables and noodles. That was important to me. The garlic spicy edamame was not too spicy, it had a nice kick but did not burn your mouth. The little fortune cookies were awesome, they were dipped in something that made them even more delicious. I definitely look forward to going back!!!
