We stopped into this iconic Panera Bread location that has been an eye-catching Seal Beach mainstay over the years. We ordered an Asiago cheese bagel with low-fat chives and onion cream cheese, a bacon, egg, and cheese on Ciabatta, an Americano, and a cup of regular coffee. The service was very fast, there were lots of booths to choose from, and the meal was very good. The carousel shape of the building lends itself to lots of all-around natural lighting, which makes for a relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed our morning visit.

I wish there was a better system of rating allowing for negative scores. Our experience was bad enough to decide never ever to try another place of this franchise. What they call cheese toast is sweet bread with melted “cheese” product on top.The pizza alike creation is with smelly low quality cheese often passed as “Italian” in California. Overpriced like never before. I bet prison food is made better in a lot of places.

The food is ok and the people are nice but this place always smells awful. Like a park bathroom. It’s honestly revolting and I’ve turned around and left multiple times for losing my appetite. If I order food here, I get in on the app and hold my breath when I walk in. I don’t understand why is smells so bad, maybe mold? It has to be a health hazard I’m surprised they are still open.

Cute building, very consistent quality of food compared to other Panera locations. Giving it a 3 for the time limit on WiFi. The time limit policy will inhibit me from coming back. Choose local or Starbucks if you want a place to eat, sip, and work.Edit: Actually left about 20 minutes for Peet’s Coffee just across the parking lot. Go there. Don’t do this Panera.

Frequently out of basics like bread. Hardly ever get the pickle thats supposed to come with sandwiches that we order, that regularly do come with it. Im not sure what the. Get the least amount of avocado here than any other Panera Ive been to.

Panera is a generally good place to eat! Little high prices... but still good. I ate here a lot in the past, and they got rid of my favorite dish, the garlic buttered noodles, and i stopped going there for a while. When i started going back again, i tried their sandwiches and they are pretty good, although their chicken on the sandwiches is minimal and it’s sort of like they are trying to jip you! Their bread is nice, and desserts too. Although the high pricing, ’okay’ food.

There is an incredibly strong smell coming from the sewer. It is overpowering. Staff says the smell has been there for a while and wont get resolved until later this year when the city finishes construction.

In my opinion, the Seal Beach Blvd location is a better restaurant than most. It does have extremely busy periods and so unavoidable extended wait times for service, so calling ahead can be useful.

The experience you expected at Panera when they first came out has degraded significantly. The food is expensive but the portions are smaller. This Panera isnt dirty, but its not clean either. Overall, its like going to McDonalds for breakfast. At least the coffee was hot, and they offer almondmilk.

It took about 25 minutes in line to order and 60 minutes to get our food! Common response, :short staffed. When I asked at the kitchen after 30 minutes, thats what I was told and it would be another 20 or 30 minutes. Got our food in another 30 minutes.It would have been good management to tell us before ordering about the delay. It also would have gone along ways to have sent out free cookies to placate us. But, then again it would have taken someone away from clearing tables or preparing our food. Maybe just a brief announcement apologising for the delays.aa

Good food and pleasant staff. They seemed to be a little short staffed, so we had to stand in a long line to order at the only open register. The food also took a while to prepare, but it was good and fresh. Their handicap parking spots are in a difficult location to access the restaurant. You either have to snake your way through tables, chairs, and heaters, or you go the long way around to the doors.

Havent been there in more than a year. Forgot this is a serve yourself place. Hard to find a table after ordering. Almost forgot to take the buzzer thing to let us know when the food was ready. Took a long time for them to prepare two half sandwiches. The bread seemed old and cold, not what I expected in a bakery. The filling in the sandwiches was bland and almost tasteless. But a small bag of chips was included. And it wasnt cheap.

We visited this panera bread restaurant second time. Thr first visit was not pleasant, but i passed. This time, again, was not pleasant either, and i decided to leave a comment. The table next to us was left unattended and dirty for one hour during our visit. Couldnt see the manager on site. Would not recommend this Branch for those panera bread fans.

Reception/cashiers are always great. Service for food orders to go is very slow. 15-20 minutes for a breakfast sandwich with little to no orders pending is poor. My recent trip I ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches with egg whites. One was with egg whites the other had a mix with the yolk. I live too far to drive back. I keep hoping service and mgmt get better but not much has changed for me to keep coming back to Seal Beach location. Thanks

The staff was very nice, but there are some pretty bad health problems here. The manager was coughing into her gloves, and then using it to touch food. She did eventually change gloves, but still not very sanitary. The restroom sink is absolutely covered in mold. Looks like it hasnt been cleaned in months. The fountain dispenser is absolutely covered from top to bottom in mold. It has old rags sitting next to it, its dripping water. Its just nasty. The food handlers also throw your dirty receipt on top of your food. So nasty.

Went into the restaurant to get a sipclub drink. As I pressed my cup to get ice tea, it started barely coming out of the nozzle. Took a look at the container, and it was stained very badly. They obviously have not been cleaned out for a while and full of bacteria. Heard employees yelling at each other in the kitchen like a fight was going to happen. This is probably the worst Panera I have been in.

Super Busy around lunch time. Food was good. And they really improved their ordering process by allowing people to order via their touchscreens. Saved about 10 minutes of waiting in line.There are a couple of things that they could improve on:There is no way of knowing when your food was ready so people were all standing by the counter. They had buzzers but they were all taken when I ordered. 2. When youre done eating you dont know where to take your plates and trays.

This Panera is a joke. I’ve put in app orders only to have to wait 25 minutes after my pick up time. When I went in to grab my drink just now, the drink bar area was a mess with trash and liquids over the counters. The ice machine just didn’t work and when I asked an employee about it, he just flippantly replied “yep” as he was walking away. Great, glad I ordered a lemonade…. Which was warm already. Not sure fruit juice is supposed to just sit warm. They took over an adorable vintage diner building to put this horribly run chain restaurant… what a waste.

It was so dirty! There was no place to sit bc all the tables were dirty. When I asked the cashier about it he just said, yeah we have no runners. I know there are no workers these days but… yuck- too dirty. Also bummed that there was no silverware only plastic. I will just go to grocery store next time to buy the same soup. The food is fresh and delicious but mostly every time we visit there is a problem with our order. The delivery guy was great and brought the food to my vehicle but they forgot the coffee, the baguettes and we had to tell the guy so he went back inside. We always get better with our bread and there was no butter but it was too late once we got home. We shouldnt have to check our food every time we go but I suggest you do if you dont want to get home and have missing items.

Used the self-serve kiosk to order takeout for 4 to avoid the line. Kiosk mirrors their website ordering system. Was unable to use website to order without waiting 2 hours and 35 minutes. Food was prepared to order and everything tasted as expected. There is not an adequate space to wait for your order within view of the preparation screen or hearing distance of the expediter without being in the way of servers and other customers.

Weve never been to a Panera Bread before, so nothing to compare this location to, but it was clean, had a one way system (that people were not using) and hand sanitizing stations throughout. The lady at the ordering counter was clearly overwhelmed but was doing her best - wish her mask fit her correctly, but she doesnt touch food, so I guess its okay?? Would have loved if there was better communication about where you stand to wait for your order - its tight spaces in the area where they put the bags for order pickup so waiting was a little uncomfortable. Did appreciate they checked the bags to make sure the kitchen got all the right items - having been to lots of places for takeout and coming home to missing items seems to be a thing these days with Covid.As for the food - so good! Really tasty, good portions even if a little pricey for whats really just a deli.We had the 2 item combo with French Onion Soup and a BBQ smokehouse chicken sandwich. The bread was soft and delicious and they didnt smother it in sauce, just enough! The side of french bread might seem like too much bread, but just get it, you wont regret it!Kids had the Mac and Cheese - white cheese yumminess. They are hard to please so the fact they just kept eating until it was all gone means it was great.Will probably go again but just for bread and Mac n cheese as its a little pricey for us these days.

I asked waiter, when he came around again, to bring butter (...please.) His response (...You have to get it yourself. Its the other side by the counter...). NO TIP for you, buddy. No more Panera in Los Alamitos/Rossmor area for me anymore.Im a very good be tipper, if the service warrants it. However, based on my last experience there a few weeks ago, I have decided to zero tip on my card & pay cash gratuity instead. Very disappointing. We enjoyed a sandwich in December and bought a $100 gift certificate. Came for breakfast around 9:30 a.m. Not busy at that hour. We ordered 2 sandwiches to eat there (starving). Server gave us the pager, but noted on the receipt the order was To Go. Heard our name called but didnt move since we expected it to be delivered to our table. Finally went to the counter, they apologized and insisted on making fresh hot sandwiches and would bring it to us asap. 35 minutes after placing our order it was once again packed To Go and name called. So aggravated we just took the bag home. Sandwiches were supposed to have cheese with the egg, but no sign of it on either sandwich. Mentioned the mistake to the order take and she didnt even apologized. Just said oh. Wont be back after the gift certificate is used up, thats for sure!

Good food, a little high on the prices. My family doesnt care for it, so I dont get to go as often as I like. Love their Soups! Usually busy, so you might have to wait, and its find your own seat, which can be a hassle when youre on a cane, as the place is tight. Not the place to go when its busy if claustrophobic or panicked by crowds.

I love Panera Bread and their black bean soup. The people are always nice and the dining setting pleasant. I guess my only complaint is every time I go there I order the bread with my soup and they never remember to give me butter or a knife. I always have to ask for them. Just a small bugaboo but annoying. Otherwise I am ok with their service and menu.

Came in very close to closing time on 8/7 with some friends, and the food took a little bit longer than usual (which was totally understandable)! Employees Alison and Malik were literally the NICEST people ever! Alison was super good at suggesting substitutes for items they were out of and Malik gave us cookies on the house to make up for the longish wait, and they were both very friendly! Love this place, the new Cuban is my current favorite but I also love anything with the turkey on it. You can tell it is carved from a bird and not just some pressed together cold cuts. the Caesar salad is basic in the best way, shaved parm sends it over the top. I also really love the breakfast tarts but you need to get in early as they typically sell out before 10am.Clean restaurant with great service.Located in a pretty busy lot but parking is usually not a problem.

Very disappointed in grilled cheese sandwich. Tasted like ‘rubber cheese’ and ‘rotten cow’ likely caused by dirty grill using rancid oil or grease. Need to clean the grill better and more often.However, Autumn squash soup delicious. Bread bowl for soups great. Hate their mustard. We only like regular mustard, French’s the best. Tea’s are great! Friendly service. But wish condiments were readily available. Don’t understand why individual packets not available even if covid. Restaurants should be able to put a dozen out every hour or so. Love the outdoor seating options allowed during covid. Hope regulations allow outside seating to be a regular part of service.

I did Not have a good experience. I visited the restaurant in Los alamitos this morning at 8 a.m. the tables were not bust they were dirty there were crumbs and finger prints on the tables. Panera is a pretty consistent place for healthier-than-fast food, but not overly trendy food. This particular location has a very unique design. Looks kind of like a bomb shelter/bunker kind of space. It has a lot of nooks and crannies so its an easy place to find a quiet corner. I really like the Panera app by the way. I was late meeting a friend there, ordered from the car and my food was actually ready before his, right after I arrived.

Panera converted a coffee shop called the parasol to make it the Panera Bread in Los Alanitos. They have created a nice area for outside dining as well as many inside tables and booths. The layout is pretty cumbersome to navigate. The area to get your condiments and drinks is directly in front of the counter where the servers pick up the orders. The place was consistently busy with people lined up to the door, waiting to order.Overall, staff was helpful & polite. They have kiosks to allow you to remotely place your order & pay. I didnt use that option, but I will the next time I go.The menu has a decent variety of foods, sandwiches, grain bowls, a variety of soups, salads and some comfort foods like Macn Cheese and of course various bakery products that are really good. Their various coffees and teas are really tasty.I would go again but not during such an overly busy time as it was overly stressful to get the items I needed to complete and eat my meal.

I actually really like Panera overall and would given them 4-stars, but I definitely think theyre overpriced pretty much across the board, despite using high-quality ingredients, etc. For example, though this is a small thing, I think that $2.10 for a tiny container of cream-cheese is unreasonable; should be $1-1.50 in my (occasionally) humble opinion. I wont say highway-robbery, but definitely overpriced. Delicious product, however, and the free WiFi is great. Two awesome choices: cinnamon-crunch bagel and Chicken Frontega Sandwich. 👍 Very tasty.

They have kiosks to order, use those if you want your meal right. Also, mac and cheese was only slightly warm, I like it steaming hot. They did happily agree to correct an issue, but I shouldnt have had an issue to begin with. Most of the tables had Crims all over them. Maybe some of their items are TDF, but I didnt find them. The Seal Beach location is a premium example of a very nice chain, Panerra Bread. I understand that all the bakery items are produced on premises during the early morning shift. The quality, presentation and taste is remarkable....pastry are obviously made with care, by artisan bakers.Breakfast items are prepared fresh to to order. Everyone is hustling in the kitchen.Catering manager, Heather, is frequently serving guests during the morning hours. She is especially but comfortably helpful. Her service has guided me to several premium rewards programs, e.g. monthly coffee program. Her hospitality positively influences my decision of which breakfast stop to make. More and more its at Panera.The dark roast (especially) coffee is a delightful habit. As good or better than brand S, with pastries that are available and inviting.The shift manager, Debora, is likewise seeing that the entire staff is uniformly helpful and attentive to their preps.

I wouldnt give it such a bad rating. Except this is the 3rd time I have been there to get iced coffee and they did not have the coffee prepared for ice coffee. They seem to think that its OK to pour hot coffee over ice and call it iced coffee. its not.. The turkey sandwich used cheap, turkey lunchmeat. Waiters wandered around loudly calling out names and numbers because the electronic system that always worked so well in the past was out of order.
