Made an order with the app, but the person at the counter couldnt find the mobile order. She had to get a manager to assist. The android app needs some work to eliminate the bugs. Starbucks is so much better than Panera. The coffee is awful I bought the sip membership but definitely wont renew as the coffee at McDonalds is much better in taste and value.

Skimflation has hit Panera Bread. I ordered the almond sandwich and soup based on the picture at the self serve ordering station. The picture shows the chicken salad stacked high and delicious. When I ft the sandwich they had put an ice cream scoop of chicken almond on the sandwich. It didn’t even cover the bread. So Panera please update your pictures to truly represent the portions you are actually putting on your sandwiches. It is false advertising.

I don’t ever like to leave nasty reviews at places, but I have come here a few times and almost every experience was pretty bad. It was quite comical. I wish I could give the service a zero because you guys have some REALLY rude employees, especially one older woman who was rude to my son. The teenage workers were fine. I would recommend staying away from this location and I don’t think i’ll come back. Food was fast though!

Great local place Ive always enjoyed. Recently with portion sizes decreasing everywhere, for me, it is unacceptable to serve a 1/2 portion salad (with soggy lettuce to boot) the size that would fit in a dessert bowl and small drink for $15.00!

Truly unremarkable. First time here in a few years and decided to go for lunch. I found the spicy chicken sandwich to have a cold bun, forgettable flavor, and not worth the price.

NO VEGAN MEALS AT ALL NOT EVEN A VEGGIE BURGER. I was charged for substituting chicken with avocado. The sandwich was so basic and tasteless, could make a better one at home. Too expensive for quality and quantity of food offered. There are way more better eateries in Carlsbad/Encinitas. My recommendation forget Panera. Their menu is outdated, no catching up with new ideas.

Ive been coming here for years sense is Panera opened. Always clean!... very friendly polite employees. Great place for coffee Bagels or pastries. And cant forget the fresh bread!... also a good place to study and free Wi-Fi. 😎

Bro some lady was rlly rude she yelled at me and my friends to pay because we forgot to pay for our drinks, then when we paid for the drinks, she charged extra. We went to ask for food refund (we didnt get food yet by the way) Then she said she cant refund us cause its a waste of food even though we werent even served our food yet. Some manager dude was cool ab still kinda weird. Everyone was staring at us and i had a panic attack (im autistic) !!!! Thanks lady!!!!! 🙄

For the love of God … please just shut this store down. I’ve came to terms that this store (because of location) gets to do whatever they want and not care about their customers.I have tried this location for about 2 weeks off and on.. and every time it’s the same. Most staff are Hispanic … so the manager will play Hispanic music loudly in the mornings … you walk in and the girls working there are talking about how fun their date was and don’t acknowledge you or say “hi” or “welcome” … this is just the worst location the company had being that they think they are all high and mighty cause of location.Well you’re not and I you guys should close your doors like the outdated neighbor did, The Coffee Bean.Once again … stay away!!!

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!I went in today and the manager was very rude when I asked a question about my buzzer because I accidentally took the wrong one. Not good customer service and took almost 30 min to get my food even though there was only about 6 people in the store! It was very gross all around and everything looked dirty. Worst Panera experience ever. Wont ever come back!😬IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD!!

Ordered a curbside pick up and after waiting 10 min and attempting to call the restaurant a few times I decided to get off. I approached the cashier and when I told her the situation she just rolled her eyes and asked her manager if he had a curbside pick up. Not apologetic whatsoever. Manager gave me the order and that was that. I love Panera but my experience today was not the best. If you offer curbside pick up you should try to be on top of it as some of it use that option due to limited time on lunch breaks.

Had a bowl of French onion soup (it barely covered the bottom of the bowl)and half a chicken almond salad sandwich which you could not eat because it fell apart. Price? $15.00.Never again!!

They way of prepping Onion soup can be changed to be identical to the original french recipe - cheese amount on the top of the bowl has to be in bigger portion, broiled until it is melted and bubbly hanging over the bowl edges! Otherwise, the process of preparation is incredible simplified with losing its richness and exclusiveness!

Had lunch there today. Food was fine. Mask mandate posted on doors, ignored by numerous customers walking around and at counter while we were there.Were in the worst epidemic since the COVID pandemic started. Staff are oblivious and did zero enforcement. Eat at your own risk.

Weak service. Completely forgot to bring nearly $5 caramel latte. Then took a long time to get it and it was cold! Young, male busboy/food with reddish hair and glasses server seemed like he was either high or had his head on the clouds. Either way, wrong job for someone who is spaced out. If you charge close to $5 for a cup of coffee (it was good when they finally got a hot cup to me) it had better be served quickly and at a decent temperature.

I’m a Panera Club member and every time I come here to eat I really hope they get their act together as far as service goes. New mgrs probably as of 6months ago and they really do not have it together. No signs of urgency. More times then I want to remember I need to go up and see where my food is. I hope Panera corporate reads these reviews and takes them to heart.

I visited on 11/21/21 for dinner... Ava and Adrienna were FANTASTIC. Adrienna went above and beyond. The person who buzzed me for my dinner was a bit rude, but my overall experience was great.

Always slow, and very crowded. The associate didnt know how to accept my Panera Rewards, they made my frozen Carmel coffee haphazardly and didnt add the Carmel drizzle inside or on top like all the other Paneras Ive gone to, and they were out of medium to-go containers. Also in the drink/self-service are, they were out of Black iced tea, napkins, and butter.

I got food to go from here because my boys were wanting cheesy broccoli soup which they loved. But I got the baja grain bowl and the grains were under cooked and crunchy. I also got sick a couple hours after eating my food. Im not positive it was my food from there that made me sick, but it is the only thing that I ate that my family didnt and they are all fine.

Probably the best Panera Bread we have been to. You must try their macaroni and cheese. Staff is great. Well always remember when they stayed open late for us so we had someplace to hang out when we were evacuated during the San Marcos fire.

I have been to a few Panera Bread locations in San Diego county, but never this one. In Carlsbad on a staycation at a local resort. By far excellent service. I believe the manager or floor manager Hispanic male with blotchy skin) knew his regulars by name. That is a plus when you go to a business. When I asked about milk alternatives for my steel cut oatmeal he obliged me right away. All staff pleasant and helpful. Overall fantastic service.

My favorite is there turkey Bravo sandwich as a combo with the broccoli cheddar soup. Their chips are delicious and so is the bread, although there are apples are the best healthy choice LOL! Pastries are delicious and friendly service. I especially love that you can order at the computer screens without waiting in line at the cash registers! There is an app that is super convenient for to-go orders; just order and pay through the app and when you get to the location there is a shelf where the to-go orders are placed and you just find the one with your name on it! Super simple, efficient and awesome!

This is a great Panera Bread restaurant. Ive been coming here since it opened and have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly, and the indoor & outdoor seating remain clean. You cant go wrong with their soups or sandwiches.

I cant do any form of delivery app and the store doesnt deliver to my address when you are the closest store. I have never come across a business who openly denies customers who want to order and pay for several meals only to be told there are ZERO delivery options. We are in the modern age why can I not order Panera on my phone?! Hate this place now. Terrible business decision to not allow third party delivery and then you wont deliver it yourself. Shame on you Panera. I dont trust their donation boxes for Scripps. No reason why they take money for Scripps. As if Scripps needs any more money?

Not crazy about that canned soup in the bread bowl, fresh bread was good as any fresh bread you can get in your average bakery, other than that I didnt see anything special about this place, the side optiones were: salty potato chips, or a whole red apple we get at the grocery stores by pound (not even sliced like McDonalds), or a piece or bread. I just gave the 3 stars for the bread.
