I come here a lot. nice staff, good decor. My one complain is that the portion sucks. I ordered a $14 asian salad. There were 3 tiny chunks of chicken in there. Everything else is just lettuce. This is a miserable salad to say the least

Visited the Panera Bread in Oceanside and was thoroughly impressed. Not only is it the cleanest branch in San Diego, but the ambiance is inviting, and the staff is exceptionally attentive. A shining example of what the Panera Bread experience should be. Highly recommended!

Usually pretty good- I stop here on my lunch frequently and they’re quick and efficient. Today was a different story. I swung by on my way in to work, waited forever for a bagel and a fruit cup. Bagel was burnt. I’m not sure why you would give that to a customer in the first place. Super disappointing because they weren’t busy at all.

Did rapid pick up and ordered a Greek salad with chicken and the dressing on the side as Im fixing my salad I find a lil black hair Im starving so I remove it and remove the food it was touching I take a few bites and everything is fine as usual Im about to take another bite when my daughter starts to cry I calm her down and Im about to offer her some salad and I notice something strange on the fork its a HALF OF A DEAD ROACH OR MOTH AND THE GUTS ARE SPILLING OUT probably as a result of my stabbing it with the fork. I am so disgusted never in my life has this happened to me that I know of and Ive already taken a few bites. I took pictures and will be showing the General Manager the bug so she or he knows her restaurant is not as clean as she or he may think!!

Food is decent but it seems like the quality has declined over the years. The prices have gone way up though. Its easily $75 for my family of 5 to have a meal there which is crazy. Weve pretty much eliminated Panera from our rotation due to the high prices, declining quality, and small serving sizes.

Place order online for pickup. Ordered 2 pick two. My Greek salad was just barely edible AFTER I went through it piece by piece and threw away all the brown and soggy old, slimy vegetables. The small tomatoes were old. The lettuce was old and brown. Even the ONE salad pepper was browning and old. Then my sandwich had old, mushy sliced tomatoes on it. Couldnt believe that some cook would prepare and serve up slop like that! Just disgusting!

Ordered 2 sandwiches, 2 cookies To go.. sandwiches were not labled so had to open them to figure out whos was whos, avocado was just dripping out of one of them, and it was very mushy bread. Cookies were stale, pretty sure they werent made today. Ive been to a bunch of paneras and this location never get is right and theres always an issue

The new chicken chipotle avocado & egg sandwich on ciabotta is delicious. I was enjoying this wonder until a fella allowed his chubby French bulldog (I think thats what it was) to occupy the bench next to me. To make things worse a noxious odor filled the air and wafted in my direction as the man told the dog not to fart! I gathered my unfinished sandwich, beverage and purse and moved to the front of the restaurant. The dog was not wearing anything to identify it as a service dog, but with that being said, the man who brought it into the restaurant should have had the courtesy to at least kept the dog on the floor away from someone who was eating (not that it would have smelled less).

Perfection! We ordered yummy sandwiches, soups and a kid’s meal. The food was great as usual but the thing that really stood out for me was the curbside service. Phenomenal!!I couldn’t believe how fast they had our food out to us. When the food was finished we received a text, a minute later it was at our car. So fast AND accurate!! I was shocked.When we opened the bag to eat, we found everything was perfectly packaged to keep things warm and protected.We used the Panera app for iPhone to order and pay. Such a quick and easy download, used Apple Pay so no need to enter personal information. This process could not have been easier.Congratulations Panera for a stand out experience!

This place is fine. I go there to work when my dog is at the nearby VCA. The people are nice enough, it just isnt run terribly well. Their espresso machine has been down for maybe 2 months now (Ive been going to the vet a lot!) and they cant even make hot chocolate without it. (They could, but they wont.) Its usually pretty empty and easy to get one of the 4 outlets in the place for your various electronics and there are typically others working from there. Their food quality is what youd expect from any Panera, its just the management that seems questionable.

Poor experience overall. Lots of little things that in isolation arent that big of a deal, but they added up to a frustrating experience.When it was our turn to order the girl at the register seemed annoyed to have customers. My wife has a dairy allergy so we asked for her food to not have cheese and we asked for it to-go. When we picked up our food it was prepped for dine-in, but the lady behind the counter kindly repacked it for us. Later when we were ready to eat, it turned out that my wifes order had all the dairy on it and she was unable to eat it, so it appeared that the girl taking orders might have been having an off-day.We didnt have time to go back to Panera, so we called 4 times over an hour and were never able to get through. The line would just hang up after a few minutes of ringing. This was the call to place an order phone number, so perhaps they just didnt want the business?We were really looking forward to a nice lunch date but its pretty disappointing when one person cant have their lunch.

Not the best...Always have barely warm coffee and the over easy egg in the sandwich must have been sitting around for a while. Unfortunately this is the norm for this place. Lately theres been a strong smell of what I think is piss in the eating area too.Im stuck between 2 and 3 stars on the rating. People are really nice though.

Came here with the wife and daughter and my wife ordered Chicken chipotle sandwich of some sort and her reply is she didnt like that the bread was to thick and chicken didnt have any chipotle taste or flavor at all. I guess they use bacon bits instead of strips as well? So me and my daughter decided to wait and go next door to Five Guys. Staff was great though thats for sure very knowledgeable and very helpful (and very patient)

This is by far the worst restaurant location Ive ever been to. They always seem to be out of everything. Theyve been out of every kind of coffee except one which was cold. Theyve been out of bananas. Orange juice. Everything bagels. Basically all kinds of bread at once. Today it was lettuce. Sometimes this is reflected when ordering online, sometimes it isnt and Ive had to wait in line for a refund after the fact. The place isnt overly busy, so its honestly baffling how their website wouldnt accurately reflect what they have. I would say that more often than half of the time they are out of something I try to order, in more than a dozen visits.Staff seems friendly and competent, but whoever/whatever keeps ingredients in stock is simply terrible.I will simply not bother trying to attend this location ever again, more often than not it fails to provide the fundamental service of selling you the food you order. And honestly it gives a bad name to Panera in general.

What can I say about Panera. I go there once a week to buy their large loaves of bread. Its always fresh, freezes well, makes great sandwiches. I also had lunch there numerous times and have always had a freshly made sandwich that is large and filling. And their numerous desserts are to die for. Besides all this, if you get their reward card, which is swiped every time you make a purchase, you accumulate points to either get a free pastry, money off on you bread purchase, or a free coffee. Their selection of salads and sandwiches are plentiful and you cant go wrong visiting Panera Bread. Prices are very reasonable so it is hard to classify it as a 2 star or a 1 star. It is somewhere in between.

Met an old friend whos in town and wanted to chat over breakfast. I love their food and now I love the covid compliant set-up. We never felt like there was an unsafe condition and fully enjoyed our time together. Thanks for the effort. It shows. Ill be back soon. BTW- breakfast rocks!!!

FRUSTRATED with the lack of professionalism and accuracy of the staff. My company orders big lunches at least twice a month. Today when I ordered in Rapid Pick Up, the system asked for an alternate time of which I accepted but I never received a confirmation order. after I did this twice, I called and explained my situation I was placed on a 10 minute hold as the employee didnt know what to do. while on hold for over 10 minutes, I called from an alternate line and spoke with the manager who could not explain why the order did not come in. I asked if I could order over the phone and she put me on hold and had another employee by the name of Nathan take my order. when I went to pick up my order, I asked if he could confirm everything was in there. he reluctantly eyeballed the bag and said it was all in there. when I arrived back to the office, of course they forgot an item. I called and spoke with Nathan and he had nothing to offer me except a free lunch or a refund, when I decided on the refund, he said he would have to put me on hold and look for a manager, I asked the managers name and he was not sure who was working. This was embarrassing on our part to explain to our guests that they would not be getting what they ordered. needless to say, our company will no longer be ordering from Panera.

Unfortunately we had a horrible experience. We were staying at a hotel and decided to order for carry out. Amanda took our order and read it back to me correctly. My husband arrived on time and returned all the way back to our hotel only to discover Amanda NEVER checked that our order was complete. We never received our bread bowls that we ordered. My goodness, I called only to speak with a fibbing store manager by the name of Stephanie...Who promised us our bread bowls (that we payed for already) and pastries as a token of their apology. Oh my, what a liar! My husband arrived all the way to her store for nothing. Instead he was given our bread bowls only and offered a tiny PASTRY. This simply goes to show how insincere Amanda was. Obviously she was trained well by her fabulous and honest store manager.So folks, the moral of the story is: do not trust that the employees at that store check your order after they have bagged it and handed it to you and happily took your money and did not give you your moneys worth.

The most beautiful, spacious, and classy of Panera locations. Only drawback is that everybody else agrees - its packed every time I go in. For a true 5 Star experience, bring a book (or in my case, papers to grade) during off peak times. The customer service really shines in the slow times.

When you like the food but the service really lacks, it is very hard to write a good review. Our office is right around the corner, so we order from Panera A LOT. It seems like they just can never get it right. Food is a service industry and Panera just does not seem to get this point.When you order things (online or in person) and the order is consistently wrong and you take the time to discuss it with the manager and nothing changes, you have to assume they are not interested in doing better. The little things matter. Extra dressing, hard boiled eggs on your salad, no olives, etc. They have a system in place to allow you to order and make changes but it seems as though no one reads the instructions and management does not seem to have the capability or desire to fix the situation as it has been going on for some time.I would say that at least 30% of our orders show up incorrectly and because they are delivered (mostly) there is no chance to have them correct it without taking an hour of your life.I rate them 5 for their food and 2 for their service.

My kids and I have always been big fans of Panera bread, my kids love their food, I went there three weeks ago to pick up some dinner for my children and I was really disappointed in the lack of service and they ran out of product. So I was frustrated I ordered something that I shouldn’t of, I knew better, my bad and was terrible. I had to go to a different restaurant and pick the kids dinner up. I called the Home Office at Panera bread in St. Louis and they told me this was a franchise operated unit and that they could not help me and that someone may call me back, I was a little disappointed because I explain that this may be a franchise unit but it still carries the Panera bread brand and the lady on the phone started to argue with me that I was the best she could and would do.She took down my contact information and said that someone may call, well no one ever called:(. I did write a negative review on yelp more based on principle especially now that I escalated it to the Home Office and again I got no response. Mistakes happen, I totally get it......yet I was really disappointed in the lack of service at the local level, but even more disappointed at the lack of follow up in service at the home office. Food is typical of Panera but poorly trained cashiers make customer experience frustrating. Staff that yesterday were bussing tables, today are struggling with the cash registers. Managements focus is on the catering of sandwiches even at 8 am. Coffee is nearly always empty even at 8:30 am when one would expect full coffee service.This is a great location but could use some better management to improve customer experience.

Heard GREAT things about this place. Ordered a BLAT. The bacon was so narrow (about 1/4 inch) and paper thin. Avocado was plentiful, but the skin was left on. Sandwich was thrown together and completely fell apart as soon as I picked it up. I ate it with a fork. Very disappointed. Would not go back.

The cup of cheddar broccoli soup and the summer chowder was hot and flavorful. We will order these soups again.The chicken caesar salad was on the bland side. The chicken was moist and tender, but the lettuce leaves seemed old and limp. The salad dressing was lack luster too. Its not the original caesar homemade dressing that Im use to.
